Excellent hat selection. Not made in CHINA!!!! Most from Mexico, palm. Limited on the bigger hat sizes, however it has tons of selection. Even in November on a Sunny day in NOLA you need a had if you are like me limited with hair folicals!

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. After just looking around the store me and my friends decided we wanted to go grab a drink instead of shop. Half way exiting the store, a very white brown haired lady started cussing at me and my friends telling us to watch our backs because she knows everyone on the block that could rip us a new a$$ hole. Let me remind you she was working behind the counter shouting this in front of customers. Definitely not a business professional and not worth returning to.

Bit of a wait, did have a problem with the car, but I dont think its really the desk persons fault, who was fantastic by the way. Being an airport location, makes it a bit of a mess most of the time anyway, especially during summer when its way busy.

Was closed when we stopped by about 4:30pm today.

Today I bought two hats. I was looking for one. The young man helped me select the hats. The prices were reasonable. I wear either XL or XXL depending on the type of hat. He would tell if the hat either did not look right or fit correctly on my head. Also, I was looking at another hat that I might buy later. He gave me a card with the hat information on it. I appreciated his easy-going customer service.

I love this place! a hat for any occasion. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and intuitive. To me a hat says everything about a person. An old-used hat speaks of its owners soul.... While a new hat is full of the owners unfulfilled promises, unspoken vows and as of yet unrealized dreams. I highly recommend this store. Fulfill your vows and promises. Realize your dreams. But then maybe you just want a nice hat. Do it. Buy it here. You will be very glad you did. Youll look fabulous.

Buying a hat isnt THE most important or fun thing to do; even in The Quarter on vacation. The selection is formidable for a Decatur storefront, and the prices are reasonable. Most of all, the woman on duty on Monday 10/01/18 (a former Brooklynite) was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. Love my new lid!

The female clerk was amazing with my son, helped him find the perfect hat, didn’t pressure him into buying anything. Gave him wonder advice as to where to go and see an excellent bass player with good jazz music.

Sales girl was rude to my wife and followed my every move like i wanted to steal something. Maybe she had some bad experiences. Who knows, but she did a great job of preventing me from running off with a hat and an even better job of preventing me from ever wanting to spend my money there.

I got a real nice fedora. Prices are little high. Staff was very friendly.

Buyer beware! You cannot return a hat after purchase even if you decide you dont like it. Wife bought a hat during French Quarter Fest to keep sun out of her eyes, but didnt like it after leaving the store. Returned 5 minutes later and they wouldnt refund or exchange it.

Good selection of mens and womens hats, knowledgeable staff. Staff was able to customize my new Panama the way I wanted and they were able to adjust and fit the hat correctly.

Got a great quality hat, made of good material, and was able to find the perfect size, and one that wasnt over $50 and the worker there wasnt completely knowledgeable of the hats, but was very helpful and patient non-the-less.

I just walked in and was told to leave by the african American smoking a cigarette by the door. When I asked why, she said because I cant. Im white btw.You want a good hat, go to Meyer the Hatter.

Went in looking for crushable straw hat. Found a hat, sales girl told me it was crushable and showed me how to fold it. Great. Got home, the hat is totally out of shape. Called Key West Hat Co. sales girl told me to steam it. That is fine if you never plan on travelling with the hat but if you want to travel with it you better bring a steam iron too. Not what I thought I was getting. Told sales girl all of this and that I wanted to return it. I feel like I was mislead. Sales girl will talk to manager and call me back. Two weeks go by so I called back. Sales girl says manager says too bad. I will never buy anything from them again! I think the sales girl knew what I was looking for and mislead me into buying something that did not work for my purpose and the bottom line is too bad for me.

The cashier Spencer is lovely, and helped me find just the hat I was looking for!

Last time I was in New Orleans, I had such a great experience at Key West Hat Company, but I keep forgetting to write about it. Store clerk Grace, was amazing. Im not an easy customer. I am getting old (52) and need to start covering my head, I was alarmed at how fast my nose sunburned in NOLA. I am just unwilling to let sun continue to fry my face at my age, but I have several difficulty factors. First I have thin fine hair, so hat-head is real youall. I look ridiculous once I remove a hat. So if it is on, it is on for the day, and when touring that includes dinner and later etc. Next, Im not particularly feminine, a big floppy hat would not fit my personality at all. I just cant pull that off. I want a hat like I want a tool. Something that does the job, is pleasant to wear and looks at least right on me, if not stylish. Grace helped me figure all that out, not by throwing hats at me she wanted to sell, but really asking me what my hat was for, how I feel about styles, and how I would use it. She went right to the mens section, which I had not thought of, and came up with a Tilley Airflo. She was right on! I love my Tilley hat. They may be cheaper elsewhere, but I wanted a hat right away, like most tourists need, and Grace handled all the paperwork for my Tilley warranty. So well worth the price for the ability to get properly sized by a professional and see all of the Tilley selection. Now my hat is always ready in my car and maybe next time I will try something more fun, but I will definitely be back!

Key West Hat Company New Orleans ReviewIf I could give the New Orleans location zero stars, I would. I went in with my boyfriend on March 14 around 5:30 to buy a hat, and the service was absolutely terrible. He tried on a few hats, and we put them all back on the mannequins, though apparently not well enough because the saleswoman rudely ranted at us that She knows that the store is already messy, but dont contribute to the disorder by not putting the hats back. Dont take advantage. After my boyfriend fixed the hat that he thought she was talking about and we started to leave she very sarcastically called after us Thanks for fixing the hat you messed up. I understand her frustration - we both work in retail as well - but there was no need to be so sarcastic and rude about such an easily fixable problem. We always try to be very courteous and leave things as we find them because we both understand how frustrating it can be cleaning up after perfectly capable adults, but everything that was tried on was put back. Had she simply indicated the hat that she wanted fixed we would have apologized for messing it up and replaced it correctly. We wont be going back, as that was honestly the most rude someone has ever been to either of us for such a simple reason.
