Dishonest and untrustworthy. Central City Millworks quoted me around $30 each to replace five 4 rosettes on the front of my home. Then they called the following week and said the job would require an additional $150 for a custom knife that they needed to complete the job... when I asked to keep the knife, that charge was upped to $300 for the knife. When I asked if there was any way they could be done without a knife, Central City Millworks said no. They also told me their lathe was backed up and the project would take at least 3 weeks. I picked up my sample piece and went to Scott at NOLA Millworks, who said no knife was needed AT ALL, charged me $25 each, and HAD THEM FOR ME IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. $450 with a 3 week turnaround at Central City versus $125 with a 24 hour turnaround at New Orleans Millworks...its a no brainer. I felt that Central City was clearly trying to take advantage of me and see how much they could get from me. At NOLA Millworks I felt comfortable and theyre right around the corner from me anyway. I would definitely not recommend Central City Millworks.

My husband and I were looking for some custom cabinets for our bathroom renovation. We were not certain of what we wanted but the guys at Central City Millworks were extremely helpful. They took measurements of our bathroom, did some sketches of what we were thinking, showed us pictures of some of their past projects, and then gave us some great suggestions so we achieve the most from our space. We settled on a design, which they quickly constructed. We were very impressed with the craftsmanship and skill that went into our cabinets, mirror surround, base boards, and crown molding. It is so MUCH MORE than we could have imagined. THANKS to everyone in Hals group for helping us create a beautiful oasis. We look forward to having then back to enhance our guest room.

We needed custom French doors leading from our master bedroom out to our balcony in Algiers Point. My contractor had never used Central City Millworks before but called them and then went over to see their operation after I found them online. He said he wasnt comfortable dealing with a company prior to seeing not only some of their work, but also their workplace. He said he knew the minute he walked in that Central City knew what they were doing due to their professional equipment and setup. My contractor, Al, supplied them with detailed measurements and got a bid for the doors. They were not only in line with other bidders but even less expensive because they built the doors out of Spanish cedar, which is both moisture resistant and termite resistant, something we found very appealing considering the leaking and rotting French doors we were replacing. The other places were providing bids for the doors comparable to Central City but that was for doors made out of pine. Prior to accepting the job, Central City sent out their own man to measure for the French doors, and this was for no additional charge. The doors were due to be ready in 5 weeks but ended up taking a little longer than that, nothing new when dealing with repairs and/or renovations no matter what company you deal with; we were wiling to wait for quality at a good price. The completed doors are absolutely GORGEOUS! The quality of the wood and the craftsmanship were even better than we expected. Would do business with them again in a heartbeat. Plus my contractor was glad to find another local millwork to deal with, as he, too, was impressed with their coming out to measure (super way to double-check his own measurements, at no extra charge), and the quality of the wood and workmanship on our French doors. Beautiful work -- youll be more than pleased! Very pleasant and professional people to deal with as well, always a plus in addition to beautiful work.

Central City Millworks5 STAR PLUS!!! It is with TREMENDOUS gratitude and satisfaction that I recommend CCM. They are the most professional, quality-oriented, customer service mill workshop there is!! I contacted CCM within a week after the Great Flood of 2016. At the time, I was only looking to replace my beautiful nail down Select pine floors and was put in touch with David Walker. With all the chaos in this area, lack of supplies, poor workmanship, and poor customer service, I was very desperate.David drove down to my home which is a little over an hour away from their workshop. He went over and beyond the call of duty in every way! The staff at CCM spent tremendous time with us, always showed unlimited patience, gave fabulous suggestions and put forth the effort that sometimes brought me to tears. You see…living in a camper with a 6 and 8 year old for a year can be hard and he and the entire staff at CCM recognized our desperation answering every call and treating us special on every call.Furthermore, my cabinets were to be built by a local cabinet builder who came and measured and never contacted us again. In desperation, I phoned CCM again during the Christmas holidays. They sent Sean Chaney down to measure, draw my plans and get the ball rolling. They sent me shop drawings drafted to perfection so I knew what I was getting in a quick turnaround time. Well, what I got was fabulous! The cabinets came in and were professionally installed. Their trim carpenter is OUTSTANDING! My kitchen island came with a beautiful Cypress chop block top and it was so stunning! I decided to have them build a desktop the same for my office and another in my laundry area! Absolutely Perfect!!! Oh and my floors are GORGEOUS! They are BETTER than No.1 Select! They are the BEST! Thank you Central City Millworks!!

Terrible customer service. I called them for some renovations to millwork they had previously installed that was already deteriorating. Promised me an estimate in a week- had to follow up 3 times before I received an estimate...3 weeks later. They missed deadline after deadline for drawing up plans and setting a start date. Excuse after excuse about why things were delayed even after I told them I had a check ready for them if they started. After 5 weeks of wasted time and energy (and no actual work even started), I finally gave up and hired another company which completed the work within 2 weeks of my first call. Dont waste your time and find another company for your millwork.

They created a threshold for me connecting a tile floor and a laminated one. They went to a lot of trouble to be sure the woods matched and it looks wonderful.
