We were driving through town and as we passed we smelled the delicious scent of fresh made coffee beans. We had to stop and check it out. What a cute and quaint coffee place. I loved the artwork outside and the welcoming ambiance inside. What a fantastic place! The coffee was just as delicious as it smelled. The employees were so sweet, kind, and attentive. The owner happened to be there attending his fresh batch. What a nice man. Do your self a favor and stop in. We bought a bag of fresh coffee beans and plain black coffee. Nothing plain about it other than tasty and perfect. Enjoy!βIf my review helped you in any way please likeπ and follow for more adventures! Thank you!π
I have been coming to New Smyrna my entire life. I have frequented my favorite spots as I pop into town may it be for just a stroll on the beach or a full blown beach day or weekend.I was in another local joint one day and asked an employee, where do I go for the best cup of coffee? They said hands down, Island Roasters. Their recommendation and descriptive words of product and environment did not disappoint to say the least. Island Roasters is now my favorite spot in New Smyrna and has found itself a very special place in my heart. Everything about Island Roasters Coffee Company is beautiful. The coffee is amazing, the deli is wonderful and most of all, the people that work there and frequent there are genuine kind folks who smile back when you smile which is a rarity in our society these days.
Excellent service and even better food and coffee. Workers are helpful, kind, considerate, and go above and beyond the call of duty. Owners are chill, cool couple who love their coffee and love their customers even more. Yβall definitely need to stop by here if you havenβt yet. My personal faves are an iced honey badger and a sausage, egg and cheddar croissant. Absolutely delicious!
Great coffee and food! The staff is very friendly and so is the vibe!
I travel 35 minutes to get my fresh roasted coffee here. Itβs DELICIOUS. You can see them roasting the beans off to one side and they have so many to choose from. My favorite is Costa Rica medium roast. And you can either grind the beans at home or theyβll grind it for you there before you leave. And itβs so fresh and smooth that you donβt even need to add milk when you brew. Give them a try !
We visited two coffee shops while in NSB, and this was our favorite of the two; there are two areas for ordering (one for coffee and pastries, and one for deli items). It was fun (and even a bit mesmerizing!) to sit at the outside bar and watch the roasting process underway. Our food was great, with several options including a Butterfinger muffin and a dairy-free avocado toast breakfast. Great service as well!
Let me tell you I have NEVER EVER EVER been to a cafe or coffee shop that put coffee ice cubes in my iced latte so it doesnβt water down. Thatβs the extra specialness you get by supporting an awesome local business like Island Roasters! Everyone is always so nice and they like my dog :) Thank you, Brittany the coffee is delicious!
The BEST coffee around! I buy the beans and take them home but recommend the Mocha or Cappuccino if youre in the store!
The best coffee, the fresh muffins are delicious!Iβve tried their breakfast croissant that was great too. Bought some chicken salad to go, it was delicious too. Love supporting a local business in my hometown.
My first and last time to go there. Waited for employee for too long. The employee said just a minute, as she was straighting up her area, with her back to us. We looked over the menu thoroughly, still not getting any response from employee. With the prices of everything there, youd think youd get better service.
Coffee ok if you must have it. Deli was horrible. Dry, stale bagels, what seemed to be pre made eggs. No ketchup available. Order was wrong and to top it all off expensive. Tourist trap to make money since itβs one of the last easily on/off before beach. Very disappointed to say the least
As former baristas and cafe owners were a little more critical than most when it comes to coffee. That being said, Island Roasters scores a solid 4 out of 5 for the friendliness of the staff, the preparation of the espresso drinks, as well as the cleanliness and overall vibe of the shop.Roasting beans is a true art form, and Island Roasters definitely knows their craft. My personal preference leans toward a slightly darker/bolder roast, but aside from that, their roast and shots had a well balanced flavor and a smooth, mellow finish. The one small negative in my drink was that the half and half in my breve was steamed a little too long giving it a hint of a scalded aftertaste. The cranberry orange muffin was fresh and made from scratch with lots of pieces of pulp and berries. The emphasis seems to be more on health conscious/organic ingredients than shear sinful deliciousness like a traditional bakery. OK for some if youre into that kind of thing, but personally Ill choose the less healthy, guilt ridden, tasty goodness every time.Overall a good little coffee shop worth the stop if youre in the area.
Drove by Starbucks to give the local shop a try and was not disappointed! Super cute shop, great coffee and pleasant service - will definitely go again!
Best coffee around. Order whole beans to be shipped to Orlando regularly. Fast shipping too.
This is the only Oy coffee shop Iβve ever been to that makes coffee Iβve cubes for your iced drinks so it doesnβt get diluted!! Whenever I pass through I HAVE to come through. This is my favorite shop!
Best cold brew in the USA. Staff super friendly. Love the new space.
Really great selection of single origin beans roasted to perfection! The staff is always super friendly and they know their beans! Definitely check them out.
I love this cafe, food, staff all exemplary.
Everyone that has served me here has been super nice, theyre very friendly and good at making you feel welcome. That being said, I came in during slower hours and found myself waiting at the counter a little longer than Id like. It was no big deal, I just felt really awkward standing there all alone... πOh, the coffee? Frickin phenomenal, their coffee beans are all Fair Trade Organicβ’ certified. Which, despite the buzz around it, is a very cool thing to get behind ethically, but you can make your own decisions on that topic. Either way, if youre lookin for good drip or espresso, this place should be on your list.
Love the Honey Badger. Hot or Cold, it is my favorite...my wife gets it with Oat milk! Still yummy!
Service was great, staff was great, bathrooms clean and our coffee was fantastic!!
Great coffee, baristas, and wifi.
Man does it ever smell good
Great coffee shop, coffee was amazing, muffins were good. No line or wait unlike the place down the street.
Delicious fresh roasted coffees, great service and a cool local vibe make this one of my favorite coffee shops. Definitely check it out.
The cold brew coffee was very good. The pricing was ok. Didnt find it to be a comfortable place to relax or do work in. For some resaon, it smelled really bad going into the store. It may be because of the roasting process, even though it smelled like burned popcorn. I would go back for another cold brew, but this coffee shop would not be my first choice in NSB.
Escape the starbucks cult!Friendly staff not barista snobs. Delicious breakfast sandwiches! πPlenty of outdoor seating π
I love this place. The coffee is consistent and the atmosphere of the new location is a major vibe. Many lattes in my future.
Just such a comfortable feeling to meet some many nice people and enjoy the best coffee in town..delicious.
Mocha iced coffee was quietly just right, expresso cookie was great. Staff was friendly, space mid afternoon seemed good for writing a poem or merman tale.
Creative, outstanding food selection! Wonderful staff, coffee from every source on the planet. A regular stop for me!
Happy staff, helpful and congenial. Coffee was FAN-FRICKING-TASTIC. They even use coffee ice-cubes for their iced coffee. My wife:π€―
Delicious! Was searching for a sandwich shop and remembered we saw a boarshead sign out front. Just had the North Causeway, one of the most delicious sandwiches Iβve had! Thanks so much!
Wonderful shop, great roasted on site coffee.
Amazing coffee! Support local it makes you a better personπ
Support your local coffee shop - you wonβt be disappointed!
Great coffee, snacks and lite food. Nice patio.
Great subs and coffee. Perfect cortado and Italian sandwich.
Great coffee and sandwiches.
Amazing place! Love their coffee.
First time here. Great coffee and great service!
Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Cute small store in a convenient location, but not much walk in traffic. A beautiful roaster prominently placed between the front of the house and the back of the house.
The honey badger was 10/10The staff was also super nice!
Great! Friendly customer service and our dog loved it!
I got some amazing coffee from here this weekend. Plus, excellent customer service!
When a coffee joint serves cold brew coffee and the ice cubes are coffee ice cubes, you know you have come across a hidden gem. Fresh coffee made just right.
We slipped away for two coffee dates while on vacation in NSB. Different fresh coffee options daily. Had two amazing flavorful cups of coffee. I went for the Ethiopian medium roast one time and Nicaragua Medium the second. Both smooth w rich flavors. Only slight tweak baristas are in training and werent able to help much with flavor profiles and descriptions. But were very friendly.
An awesome place..great coffee...deli and atmosphere...highly recommend
Super friendly, excellent coffee and best of all they carry the coconut lavender yaupon tea!
Excellent service sandwhich and a excellent cup of coffee
Great coffee and food
My favorite local spot to get coffee! Worth the drive from Edgewater.
Island Roasters is always good. Friendly staff and delicious coffee. The roaster itself will put you in a trance. Perfect for all your coffee needs.
The batista was sweet but my drink (lavender coconut cold brew) was not very amazing. Could not detect flavors of lavender or coconut. Meh
Love their coffee! They also use coffee ice cubes in their iced drinks so they are never watery. Dont love that they use paper straws.. its great for the environment but forces you to speed drink your beverage before it gets mushy..I recommend bringing your own reusable straw. I wish they sold them there as an option with your beverage! Also they sell bags of coffee beans that you can get ground there while you wait. Our favorite is the Peruvian blend.. every time we serve it to friends they ask where we got the coffee from and what brand it is!
Super friendly!
Great coffee and outdoor seating. βΊοΈ
The best! Im a coffee fanatic and a home roaster, so Id like to think I know good coffee when I taste it. These people have definitely crafted their coffee with a loving touch. The espresso was out of this world, and the iced drinks were great as well. The ice was coffee so your drink doesnt get watered down drinking from the huge sizes offered, great attention to detail. Great price as well. I wish I had bought beans before I left. If you like coffee, go here!
Lovely little coffee shop with the sweetest baristas. They know how to roast a good beanπ
Good sandwich but way too expensive for what you get. 10 bucks for a veggie sandwich on wheat bread.
Great coffee and food!
Good people and good coffee!
So Ive never been to their location (so I cant give a full 5 stars yet), but my sister and her husband bought me a bottle of their cold brew. Love it. It is simply amazing stuff, and one of the smoothest cold brews Ive had in a long time. Well done and I look forward to visiting your location soon and adding in an extra star to this rating.
One of the best coffee places in town. I love the honey badger.
Island Roasters is one of my favorite coffee shops in New Smyrna Beach. I particularly like the fact that they roast free trade organic beans on-site and that they sell full pound bags, rather than 10-12 ounces. The cold brew coffee is amazing and perfect for making your favorite beverages at home. The owners and staff are always so friendly and eager to answer questions about their newest brews and beans. Whether you enjoy coffee or teas at the coffee boutique or take their beans to grind at home, this is the place to go for your Java-fix.
Best Coffee in the area by far ! Glad to see them grow and be a blessing in New Smyrna Beach!
LOVED THIS COFFEE SHOP!The owners were very nice and friendly. She came around the counter to greet us and was very helpful. The coffee was excellent and they had so many different options from around the world. If I lived in New Smyrna I would definitely go back!
Just happened to be right next store in the shops around the corner on Canal Street. The coffee here is great and has so much flavor! There is a great variety of coffee to buy when it comes to the grinds and also if you want coffee for on the go. The coffee is also Organic and roasted there at the shop. The prices are great comparing to other coffee shops like Starbucks. Cost about $1.65 for a regular coffee and about $2.25 for the Americano. Will definitely be going back before my vacation is over and will definitely come back if Im in the area in a later time!
Great personal service. Very rich coffee taste. They roast their beans on site for a coffee flavor rivaled by nearly none. Unfortunately that means if you dont like the flavor of strong coffee you might not enjoy it here. But, just squeeze a little honey in and the whole cup will make your mouth water. 4.5/5
The best place in NSB for coffee. Theyre the reason Starbucks cant open a place here and stay in business. They have all the alternative milks and sugars. Prices are fantastic and they even do growler fills! Also they have an amazing staff and a really cool owner!
Love this coffee, it is a must every time I go to New Smyrna. They also have the best muffins!
They are very nice and polite. I love the triple espresso. It is by far my favorite. Also I very much enjoyed the Almond Joy muffin. It was fresh and by far the best muffin Ive ever had! I try to stop whenever I can!
Stopped by the Coffee Shop today for the first time and ordered a Cappuccino with Coconut Milk.Amazing coffee!Lots of choices of beverages on the menu. They even have a CBD supplement that is optional for your drink of choice.
If you are in New Smyrna, you have to stop here! Amazing coffee and friendly staff.
Great coffee and a wonderful deli counter.
More expensive than Starbucks for a 20 oz. cold vanilla latte and not as good, imho.
Try the lavender cold brew! So yummy!
Great coffee, service down to a crawl
I was blown away with this quaint coffee shop. The couple that owns it couldnt have been more adorable. She actually came out from behind the counter to welcome my group of friends. We enjoyed watching the beans roast as they made us our drinks and she explained to us how their coffee is fair trade. I am a bit of a coffee snob and I absolutely enjoyed my coffee that was fresh and well balanced. Overall we LOVED these sweet people and THIS is why I support local coffee!
Great place!!
Incredible coffee unlike Starbucks rubbish. Organic and awesome! Just ordered 5 lbs bag to be delivered to Park City, Utah.
My friend and girlfriend loved it today
We werent in the shop for long, but the barista was friendly and the coffee was good. They use locally sourced add-ins for the coffee, which is nice. Inside is pretty cramped, but there are a couple tables outside. Look for the coffee flag and the dentist next door. Not too hard to find, but their orange building is shared with a realtor or something like that.
Very nice atmosphere and the coffee was excellent ...
Iced Mocha = 5/5Service = 5/5Atmosphere = 5/5I got a 20oz iced mocha with two pumps of vanilla. It tasted rich and creamy, and by comparison Starbucks tastes rank and burned, and I think I am ruined because I canβt just pop over to NSB whenever I want a delish iced mocha. This tiny building was packed with customers, but the staff remained composed, and helped each person with a smile. They appear to follow a rational plan that keeps things moving orderly and quickly. This is really all I want from employees - just a little bit of seemingly genuine friendliness + competence.Yes, the interior is . . . Iβm going to go with cozy. Theyβve done a careful job with the space theyβve got. One wall is dedicated to beans for retail, the opposite wall offers tea, an assortment of bags and a few other things. Thereβs also a bistro table and a couple of chairs.
Such an adorable little shop with really cute merch you can buy. Their chai is really good and Ive fallen in love with their muffins!
