Several pumps dont work. 4wheelers are parked in reserved parking. When I asked about it I was told by an employee they wont tow them unless they have been there so long that the Manager gets concerned the owner may have died. You cant reserve a shower through the app. I asked about getting a shower because there was no parking spots available, I was told to find a spot out of the way and I could shower and leave. I found a spot and was forced to move by the Manager.On the plus side the restroom was clean and the Staff aside from the Manager were very nice.

Cashier on 3rd shift night crew was ringing me up for a shower & two of the other employees said no showers such n such is not here. The cashier looked puzzled so the other employees proceeded to say no hot water, come back at 7am. I then used the restroom & washed my hands in hot water. Seems 3rd shift dont like to clean showers so they tell customers theres no hot water when there actually is running hot water. Poor customer service skills & bad for business.

Not much parking here. Only 2 showers so ask how long the wait since it might be hours . After fueling, the best thing is to drive 1.5 miles south on Doremus to the end, make a right on Distribution street. This is the port area and much easier to park .

No parking, no showers, no laundry. Why be a pilot? Horrible dude. And I’m spending my 34 here. Awesome

No parking ever which is to be expected for the area. Luckily for me I reserved my spot 2 days prior to arrival. When I got here I found that the majority of the reserved spots in the tightest area which is only bad because they refuse to enforce the no parking area in front of them. Local drivers also use the lot as a personal lot with multiple spaces being block with cars instead of being available for other trucks.Then when I went to take a shower it took 10 minutes just to get hot water and they start pounding on the door after 30 minutes.I will never return.

Commercial truckers : your experience will vary based on your needs and expectations from this place. If all you need is fuel, a quick snack or coffee, and a quick restroom visit, then you are probably going to be fine... unless its Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights. I attached a picture of their schedule as of Summer 2021. The shop and the pumps are CLOSED during these three nights and evenings. No fuel, no store access.If you need parking, its a closest Pilot to NYC, so of course getting a legal spot here is like winning a lottery.Also, if you are lucky to find a spot to park and the store is open, remember that there are only 2 showers, no automated shower reservations through the App, and the wait is of course long. Since you cant reserve your shower through the App you must sit/stand inside the store to wait your turn for a shower.

Seems like there are attitudes flying around in here 🤣😂🤣 might be an employee/employer issue. However the express is listed to close on Fridays at 10pm....its now 9pm and the only thing available was coffee (showers were closed too 🙄). Needs no stars whatsoever

The cashiers are rude. The rude cashier closed the showers down with five other people waiting to take them. Then the rude cashier gets even more rude with a customer asking what the shower hours were as she storms off. While making comments under her breath. Ive been using truck stop showers for years and never been treated this badly.

Went at night for RV parking and no room, holey roads, eeky neighborhood by correctional facility. Go west or south to find a better place.

Shower was great, food was good . Fuel I cant say never got any . They ran out and waited for fuel . Machines never kicked in . Staff was awesome.

I read a few reviews prior to coming here. I got the last parking space at 11:00pm. The showers were clean and large, didn’t have to wait long at all at 6:00am to get one.Found the staff could be a little friendlier.

The corporate office in Knoxville and the manager at this location need to do something about the local drivers leaving there cars to hold a spot this is a truck stop not a parking for local drivers. Shame on the drivers that leave there cars to hold the spot. If you local go rent a spot in any yard. Very disappointed

You know this place may not be the cleanest but its not dirty either I would say I love this place because Im homeless now over 3 months this is where I take my showers I wish it wasnt so expensive because I love to be clean but $12 a clip is a lot when you dont have a job Im still working Im trying to find a job it has been difficult for me this is probably one of the worst times in my life but all I know is God is good and things will work itself out. Is okay though most of the staff there are incredible very respectful energetic and all around a joy to be around.

I gave five stars because although there are only 2 showers, no laundry and as it’s an express store, they close at 10pm every day except Sunday it’s 6pm, however the staff is awesome and they keep fresh food I.e. chicken and taters, rotating almost constantly.Parking can be a bit hairy at times but it’s a small place so it’s limited. The manager is super nice and very helpful and the showers are sparkling clean. IDK about the mask complaint because every time I go in all the staff is wearing one and I’m in Newark 3 to 4 times a month and if possible I always stay here.👍👍

It’s 8 o’clock I went to get a shower and they’ve told me that won’t be possible because they got 10 people on line. I mean I do understand they close at 10:00 or 10:30 but the doors for the bathrooms were open and non clean up. Shame on this place. I had to give them a 1 star because there’s nothing less than that

This gas station their staff they are very rude. They dont have manners and they dont know how to talk as costumer service. Must change those people. And they are very lazy.

If the option was available for no stars that’s what it would be. I’m a truck driver and this is the only location available close to where my delivery is going to today. I got here around 17:00 last night and the doors were locked. There are several truck drivers here and no portable potties available or any other option available in the vicinity. I will try to remember this so that I never stop here again.

Spent a day here and the staff were great. The area isn’t the greatest but the truck station was clean. I can’t say enough positive things about the staff. They were helpful and polite. One of the best experiences I’ve had at gas or truck station.

As a truck driver driving all day, youd expect after finishing up a 14hr shift customer service staff to be a little courteous, both Gina and Rachel does not know customer service; therefore should not be working with customers, Gina has an attitude, whereas Rachel supports and makes rude comments, very unprofessional

Pump 2 both side didnt have the fuel holders had to hold it, went in try to get a slice of pizza, the person in front of me place order and i walk up to the cashier guy said he closed and he walk towards the pizza and threw it in the garbage can, it was just 8:02pm and they close at 8pm on friday, truckers need to eat and in this pandemic keep this attitude up, you will be pissing off a lot of people off,sales goes down and you wont have a job and you will be working the street and you will be arrested, your mom is gonna cry, your child wont see you and dont drop the soap

Horrible trucks stop, 45 minutes to wait in line for a shower ( second in line) purchasing a pizza and asking for mixing slice so I don’t have to wait for extra time to make one. The guy tell me, he have to make a new pizza, the one on the display are only for sell 🙄🤔🤯

Very nice and its even in a nasty industrial area. I saw every kind of person in there from high school girls to older couples that hung out at the tables. I asked for the used coffee grounds from underneath the bean-to-cup machines and they were more than happy to let me have them for my garden. Even the maintenance guy helped me with getting the grounds a very pleasant man.

Wish I could give it a lower rating. Paid for reserved parking a day early so I would have a spot only to arrive and none are open. The store is closed with no POC for issues. Basically they took my money and someone else parked in my spot.

Wow! A truck stop that closes?!? A Pilot at that?!? I think all parking is reserved even bobtail parking + you have to call in if you want a spot cuz they go fast! It is clean and they got food, but check what time they close and plan early cuz there’s a train that goes by and blocks the entrance, I was bobtailed on the street, walked up there to get something to eat, waited like 10 minutes for the train to pass, and by the time I crossed they where closed

Don’t come here expecting a quick shower. They only have two. Then on top of only having two, even when you are the first one in the store, they have magically added other names to the list before you get your name on the list. Granted that I don’t know why those names were on there but still it felt so wrong. My receipt says 07:01,its about to be 08:00 and I’m just now told that I am next after those two before me have Just recently gone into the shower. One would think that with just two showers they would do a better job at turning them around. One would be wrong. They should at least follow a first come first serve system.

The showers are large and clean! Very pleased with the service we received. Just one thing if you want a quick shower be here earlier to avoid the wait. Other then that its awesome!

For being 35 min from New York City, a good place to be. If and only if you plan ahead and reserve parking. Then the battle is if the management will enforce the no parking zones. My experience is I reserved a spot for 2 days for $20/day and when I arrived there was only one reserved spot open, so I figured it was for me as I reserved a day ahead. I preceded to the fuel island and fueled and by the time I came around the building to Park in that reserved spot there were 3 trucks vying for it. Then after verify to the other trucks that this is my spot, I got parked. Then the other trucks just parked in front of me in the no parking zone and blocked me in. This store could benefit from overnight security/ parking enforcement.

Its a great place to be... the only problem they dont have American or Spanish food like rice beans steak roasted chicken burgers fries and soup ... I think what they really need is a Dinner restaurant like the other truck stop.. and be open 24 hours 7 days a week will be a great place in Newark New Jersey.

First time there and it was great, people are diverse and super nice to you and I wanted to say thank you for their kindness and the shower was sparkling clean, now there are just 2 showers so expect a wait at times .. i was able to use the showers within 10 minutes of me being there but I was lucky..

I really only park here because I have to. The hours are really bad for a truck stop and youre out of luck if you pay for a reserved space but arrive after they close. Today is Monday, Dec 28 and I arrived at 7:30 pm and they were closed even though Mondays are supposed to be 24 hours. Its not even a holiday.

This is a smaller place with only about 33 spots for tractor and trailer. I was going there at noon hoping to find a space so I could hide out for the weather but of course there was a lot of other chickens already parked there I guess theyre going to stay there all day. I drove back to an area where I know I could park. Place is a little difficult to get to but its your standard small Pilot Flying J.

Drove here specifically to use the shower, and they told me that it close at 12:00. Even though that the schedule said at 6:00.

Very clean at the fuel island except for no squeegees, busy

A huge cluster and very small parking lot. Had to scale load. Not an easy thing to do. After scaling you have to go out to the street and come back into the lot. Patience is key here. Parking fills up extremely quickly with what seems to be local drivers. If you need to do a 10 hour break you will probably need to park on the street. That also fills up quickly.

Why in the world this location isnt open 24 hours is a mystery. With all the traffic in this area, people need fuel around the clock. Also, out of the 33 parking spaces, half were filled with dropped trailers. Just about done with Pilot/Flying J as a whole. Hope Loves opens one up in Newark.

Its a quick fuel stop, but parking is hard to find and they dont have a restaurant! You can order delivery from the local pizza,Chinese or sandwich shops tho. Clean showers tho.

Its supposed to be a quick trip but some drivers stay at the pumps after they get their fuel and never pull up or go inside and forget about their trucks. Never any parking trailer or bobtail. No food options.

My dad went to fill his truck with diesel on July 29th, at the pump I put 124 gallons but the printer wasnt working so when he went to costumer service and talked to the cashier she told him if he had put 200 gallons of diesel he told her no that it was 124 gallons that she was looking at a truck from a different number not his truck number. She then gave him the ticket for 124 gallon, but at the bottom it charge an extra 74 gallons as if he had put diesel on reefer, his truck does not even have reefer as its not refrigerated. It definitely seems as they intentionally took advantage to charge him more than they should, by making the ticket misleading.

It is nice and clean .It was stormy day and when I arrived at 1:00 pm in my surprise it was full .20.03.18 .I think some local use it as parking spot.

Like others have said I was shocked to see store hours posted. As being under the Pilot name truckers are looking for fuel and some snacks anytime of the day or night. With this being said its still a really nice store clean and very nicely kept.

I love Pilot but this store location needs to go. Theres basically a three hour wait for showers.Despite the garbage customer service here I held off rating this place until now.I fueled here yesterday(51 gallons). I drive to the Pilot in Connecticut. Come to find out I have no showers on my Pilot card. Im supposed to have two.(Already had one) I knew using my card to shower in Newark would remove my showers so I didnt mind paying when I came here.So now fueling removes it too! What the actual *u*k. Pack up shop and let TA build here instead. Theyre expensive but at least their s#i* works! Get to hell.Zero Stars. I wont even fuel here anymore. Schneider needs to blacklist this spot.

These people that work here truly need recognition for their due diligence in the cleaning of the showers, they truly have an up hill battle all day long, and as I watched as I was waiting to shower this team did the job with grace and an unseen ethic to customer service rarely given today, corporate office really needs to come down here, and show their appreciation to this stores team commitment by rewarding everyone whom works in this environment, “JOB WELL DONE YA’ALL.” much respect.Troy

Not sure when you got to get there to get a parking space but if you do get there for one looks like you got a pretty good place to chill at during your break. Nevermind theres a full-blown prison across the street. You still got friendly service inside and clean rest areas and dining areas

Me and my partner came in to take a shower to this location mid week during the day. Shower cost about $12 and we were able to share the shower, however, they only have 2 shower rooms, so we had to wait for about an hour and a half before our turn. The gas station service are a little too slow so we had to pay the cashier from inside. I commend Dana though who constantly keeping the place clean.

It would be great if all pilot travel centers ran as nicely as this one. The employees were friendly and always helpful. Ive been otr now for a few months and this is hands down the best place Ive had to stop at. I will gladly come back to this store every chance i get. Thanks for everything!!!

Blank new facility! Nice friendly stuff like most of pilot guys! Clean organize shower room. Health and tasty food+coffee. But no bathroom open at the night time. Windshield water always short!

Newly open pilot. Customer service was professional. Two showers that are spacious and clean, not like other pilots. Lots of parking for sprinters and not many for semis. Pj fresh is the only restaurant in the area. Closes at 11pm but subject to change soon. No overnight parking. Overall, more like a pass through. Dont make any long term decisions for it until they convert to 24 hours.

Does anyone know where we can call to complain.We pay extra in Jersey to get our fuel pumped for us.And yet you never find anyone to pump your fuel.Dont bother going inside to ask an alleged managerEveryone there is ghetto and rude. I like this place, the staff are very friendly, restroom is clean. The station is big enough for this area, but the only problem is they have 2 showers. Diesel price is good for this area.

Man, what dump this place has turned out to be! Its turning into a mini Vince Lombardi. Drivers dropping trailers into valuable parking spaces and leaving them for days, garbage everywhere, grass is so high that you cant walk thru, no paper towels at the fuel island, and the employees attitude! If you want to see people who absolutely doesnt want to be here and do their job, then this is the place for you!Its sad really, this place had such great potential to be one of the best truck stops around this area.

Is it good for lot lizards?

Not the worst, but probably close to the worst truck stop I have ever been to. The place is still new,so its still clean but the fact is that the staffs attitude sucks, not friendly at all, willing to push you out the door and close a hour early. The food sucks, the second stall in the bathroom for the third time being here now has been out of toilet paper so yeah not extremely happy with this place the only good part is you can usually find a parking spot if youre here early enough other than that I wont shower here, and I wont buy food unless its prepackaged.

It looks nice and clean and considering its location you would think would be empty but wasnt. Lines were long but selection was good. Food is not that good though. Definitely need to work on that. I had a slice and some chicken tenders, neither of which were very tasty.

Paid $12 just to get in line for a shower and waited around for 3 hours just to be told I missed my place, after which they sent me back to the top of the list. I left because I didnt want to be late for work after spending 5 hours trying to get a shower.Should be offering to take peoples phone numbers and giving them call reminders when they reach 3rd or 2nd place in line rather than expecting everyone to stay and jam up the Dunkin Donuts eating area, the only sit-down waiting area within the building. If everyone in line for a shower waited there, there would be no room for their own customers.Or at least be understanding when someone misses their name being called, and be respectful of the money they already spent by letting them remain at the top of the waiting list. Not effective.

Its the weirdest Pilot Ive ever seen, not open 24 hours, really, all the truck traffic??? Hope a Loves or T/A or Petro opens which will be open 24 hours, this unheard of!!!! Guess Ill be stopping somewhere else next time instead of waiting to get here, cant drive on hoping their open to fuel

Restrooms need to be maintained better. The staff needs to be more welcoming. Other then that, i pumped my gas and got out.

Closed from 10pm to 5am - not posted anywhere. Typical NJ staff w/ slightly lazy attitude: customer not quite first. New store, so still pretty clean, pretty good food options, both pre-made & made-to-order, good though limited semi parking. New lot so still clean & in good repair.WAS VERY MUCH NEEDED in this area, so big kudos to Pilot for building it!!!

This place is a waste of space and time. This truck stop closes at 6pm! What major truck stop closes? There are only 2 showers here so good luck on the wait. All the employees but one (the manager) are loud, screaming at each other all over the store. Truly unprofessional. Its right across the street from the monster...so what do you expect? Once again the lady manager was coo though.

One of the WORST TRUCK STOP in USA, I came there, and couldnt reserve shower through app, than I have entered inside a truck stop, they put on the paper list, than she told me that I have to come back after 3 hours, because there was some 6 or 7 people before me, I came back after 3 hours than they have told me my turn is gone now I have to put my name again on the list from the end, this tim there was 5 people before me. So, in the end I have to wait and waste my time whole day only for getting on shower. Very lazy and not professional people are working there. If You have another options beter not to go there.

Everytime I go for a shower there. The wait is always longer than the other pilots. They couldnt had 6 showers if they had made them smaller. No need for big spacious shower like that.

Its on a come up. Not 24hrs though. Parking is scarce. They are working on it so it can be a much better experience. Hoping it will be 24hrs one day. Also a bigger expansion on the parking situation. Drivers need to rest and use the facilities at night too. More garbage cans would be a plus. Also if fuel would be 24hrs it would make more sense. Ok so I am rambling on. Service is good. It does get busy at times. Oh get the app on your phone for discounts and free stuff when applicable.

Came at 11:15 p.m. on a Monday night and the pumps were shut off, the lights at the pumps were off, and the doors were locked, closed for business! The place look actually pretty new and nice from what I could tell but if you cant purchase fuel there really isnt any purpose in stopping here

Nice stop. As it says its an Express stop. They are closed overnight and WILL TOW ANY DROPPED TRLRS. Limited parking but still here to offer us Service in a high risk area where real estate is limited and extremely expensive. That alone deserve a high degree of respect and appreciation. Never take any available parking for granted. No truckstop is obligated to provide parking, so remember it is offered as a courtesy. Thank you Professional Drivers and please drive safely.

No parking for road drivers because the locals use it to get out of paying for parking. You have a poor chance of getting a shower.But most of the workers are very nice.
