I’m a business owner (construction) and went there today Stanton branch got there right before they closed couple minutes, due to traffic I called when on my way and they said it’s ok to come by they got my return taken care of guy at counter very professional and guy in yard was very professional as well even though staying 30 minutes late on a Friday to help me out just wanted to thank you for your help shone (bmc) lumber great store.Frank

Staff are extremely helpful, they make you feel important.

Cut down half the yard staff you will take 20-60 minutes just to be loaded up. Got rid of some products and no more weekend hours. Going downhill fast. I’m moving my account to Delaware County Supply. If you are looking for convenience and quality building materials look elsewhere.

This place has a great reputation in Newark. So when Im looking for new windows and finding it very challenging I just say hey why dont I go over to shones. So I go in and quite frankly you might feel a little intimidated because you see this is where all the contractors go. Christine made me feel valued as a customer by telling me that she used to be a contractor and she has purchased Windows many times herself for her own property. She patiently showed me three separate window lines and was very very helpful.

The two times we have order materials for our home we have had a terrible experience. The first time we ordered doors. We called two weeks later to ask if they were ready to be picked up and they told us they forgot to even order the doors at all! Then we made a call to get a quote for moldings for our bedroom. We listed all the model numbers and footage and they said they would call us back in three days with a quote. When they didnt call us back on the date they said they would we called ourselves and they said they had no idea who we had spoken to and there was nothing in the system so we needed to give them the models again. Both time our orders were literally ignored as if they dont want business. If youre not a big contractor that they can make money off of dont expect them to even place your order.

The bathroom design staff acted as if we were bothering them when we went in to look at custom bathroom items. A designer sent me to a room to look at samples and left without providing any info. When we searched for her, she had left the building. We had to ask for someone else to help us but she also seemed reluctant. I wonder what they are there for?

They definitely have unique items and for those unusual items that need to be replaced I can typically find them here prices are great here also in general.

Should have known when we went to discuss a kitchen design and had made an appointment for noon but our designer had another person he was working with as I heard him say he forgot about our appointment. Did not meet with him till about 12:45. The plan was great we decided to go with the cabinets, paid for half and when they came in paid the remainder. Due to some work issues our. Ontractor start date was changed we made arrangement to have the cabinets delivered, already paid in full and the delivery person did not come to our door to see where we wanted them or even that he was at our house just left all but one on our deck and one in driveway when we asked him to bring g in house refused and left. Took my husband several hours to get the cabinets in as at least six had to come through front door. When I called when it hapoened they were closed for the day. I called first thing today and was told receipt says curbside delivery. Did they once tell us this. Had we known this would have paid our contractor to get them when ready for them. No customer service skills and kitchen cabinet department as our guy on vacation has not called us either. Very happy to take your money but poor customer service. Very disappointed was trying to give business to local not chain store.

During delivery of my kitchen cabinets, the delivery truck ran into my retaining wall and the reps from Shone have been slow to respond and now claim it is not their fault and they aren’t liable. How is it not their fault? The wall certainly didn’t pull out in front of them! It’s absurd to think a large company that’s been around for many years will treat its customers this way.

Horrible! Theyre in the midst of changing over to newCompany bmc. Was there over 1_1/2 hrs. To pick up some 1x8 PVC, vinyl handrail, post sleeves and caps. 👎

My wife & I went in to the Newark showroom to get an estimate for cabinets, they made us wait a long time until finally a representative named Paul Rummel met with us briefly, we told him what we wanted and he said he would get back to us, that was almost a month ago, he never called us back or emailed us our estimate, very poor customer service.
