My family and I were greeted at the door with a smile by Shawn. We spoke for about 5 minutes and he let us know if we needed anything he could be reached in his dept. We continued on to shop for our DIY project and encountered several other employees that went above and beyond for us. I just thought I would share our experience and say thank you for brightening our day.

The sales associate, Tanya Rodriguez, was the best. She was very knowledgeable about where everything was and took the time to make sure we found what we needed. She truly cares about her job and the customers. Great job Tanya!

Just got my new Samsung refrigerator delivered and they took my old unit away. I must say Im very impressed with the new fridge. Noticed that it beeps an alarm to let you know the doors been open to long! Like leaving your turn signal on in your car. Now its time to fill it up!

Home Depot is by far the most well organized business with competitive price. What I really like the most about this place is friendly staff who always provide outstanding customer service. I stop going to the other places because they dont know nor care about the importance of a quality customer service. People have option to order things online or go to other businesses. For me the Home Depot is the number one choice due to the way they value their customers and provide exceptional customer service with their winning attitude.

The employees at the Hampton store are great. Newer associates Awesome!Lawn and garden team could use some major help in areas of customer service. We went to buy 15 lawn pavers 24 x 24 x .5. We asked if they associate working the checkout could someone load them onto my truck with a forklift. She called The female manager over the garden area and she said that they did not have anyone available and that we would have to load them. I went to the front desk to speak to the store manager and the Garden manager so.ehow found someone. It didnt stop there, she then Question me on whether I had a truck big enough to handle the load. I felt so insulated! By this time I was ready to walkout and never come back 😡. The wife told me to ignore her and move on. What is the lesson here? Customer service, you may have the best product in town but you employees can chase your business away.

Quality service everytime. People are so friendly. Decent prices.. Always stocked with what I need. Lines are also always relatively short.

Gloria assisted us and provided stellar customer service. She went above and beyond to help us find everything we were looking for in the door and paint dept. She has made our Home Depot experience incredible. We will definitely be back to purchase more items for our home. We hope to see Gloria again or other representatives like her. She is truly one of a kind, an asset to Home Depot.

I figure my review is going to be a bit strange as to what we look for since we live in an RV, but this Home Depot had a nice sized parking lot and enough room for us to park towards the back so we could handle our project. The store was easy to navigate and the staff was very helpful in helping us find the Nu Wallpaper which seems to never be in the same location in every Home Depot lol. This stuff is awesome for sprucing up your RV (or home) without having to paint and it doesnt mess up the walls so you can literally change your design as much as you like without any issues.

My wife was looking for a CORN STRAW BROOM; we looked all over town. Went to HOME DEPOT and, of course, it was there. HOME DEPOT, never disappoints! GREAT PLACE TO SHOP; AND THEY ARE DEPENDABLE TO HAVE JUST WHAT YOU NEED.

I have bought strong growing trees here and the trees have grown beautiful. Clerks are friendly and always willing to help find what you are looking for.

Terrible service,the employee that offered to help me(keep in mind I didnt ask for help)* he is the person that works in the blinds department at the computer* had a nasty attitude and was rude! Home Depot will never get a dime of my hard earned money! I will stick to Lowes.

Far better than their blue competitor. Store is always clean and organized and prices are usually comparable if not better. They usually have most things in stock and their online inventory generally matches whats in the store better than most stores but every now and then its off, so call in advance. Their phone system is way better than their local competitor too!

Very friendly staff, the problem seems to be getting them to stock shelves.This store is notorious for not having product on shelves. Especially frustrating when you look online and it shows 13 of an item in stock, you get to the store, not one is stocked, the staff (very friendly) tells you its in top stock...... 20 minutes later they find them.I wouldnt write a review like this if it wasnt a constant problem.Outside of that, its a typical Home Depot, messy and cluttered but that seems to be a Home Depot thing.

The associates are always friendly and professional, and Home Depot is a store I will definitely recommend.

We went here about 2 weeks ago. The store is very clean, and organized. We will say that when you are looking for help it is very difficult! You walk all over this huge store and see no one. When you do they see you looking around and keep walking. Some looked as if they were walking fast to not help us. So you will have to stop an employee yourself, and ask a question.One guy was very nice and pointed in the direction we needed to go. We were very happy to find the bait product!!!! If pest control cant help we will take care of it! When you have nasty neighbors, you will have unwanted pests. This product works REALLY good! It cost a little over $12+ but worth it!!! HD is the only place we could find this and we will come back for more. Great store!

Always a friendly face here. Purchased a new refrigerator and stove. Got 24 mo no interest financing. I think I like orange better than blue. ;)

Got my military discount during my first visit. Second visit clerk said no even though i had my id, because my phone number did not work. Clerk was asian type decent (no racial intent ment other than for identification should training be needed).

Just a normal visit to Home Depot. However encountered a very rude and unprofessional customer service representative. This particular person seem to have an attitude and a major chip on her shoulder. I ask for help seeing if they had a certain product in stock since there were none located on the shelves. She was unattentive, rude, extremely unprofessional and basically refused to wait on me. When I asked what the problem was she turned and walked away thus having me ask another employee standing right behind her if she could help. The second employee was very helpful friendly and very understanding.

The store was clean, employees was on the floor to answer question etc. The checkout line wasn’t long . The parking lot was clean

Found what I wanted but at 230 pm on a Friday afternoon there was only self check out available. Im not doing it and the girl there didnt offer to do it for me or open one up... I guess they got to unload my cart. I left.

Their staff is extremely friendly. We go to Home Depot over other places because their staff always helps us find exactly what we need. During COVID lots of people started flocking to home improvement stores, Home Depot upped its game during this pandemic to ensure they were not only open, but they also retained a knowledgeable and courtesy staff.

Store is very neat, very organized, a cashier even came over and pulled us into her empty checkout line! Walmart should take a lesson from Home Depot!

The ladies who work in the checkout lines at the contractor checkout are very hard working and pleasant. I like seeing the same faces whenever I shop there for my business supply. I mess the Asian ladies but the new workers are great. Weekday workers.

My favorite home store! Nelson in plumbing is the ONLY person I go to for help no matter what department Im in. He has the patience of a saint!!! He is extremely helpful and I always leave having learned something new

This Home Depot is well stocked. Everything is easy to find. Everyone is very helpful. They are even willing to help load your car if you would like them to help you. The Home Depot is a good choice for general things for your home.

Twice now I have ordered products on line, paid for them, then on or after the promised delivery date my order was canceled without explanation.Only after contacting the store to find out why my orders were canceled would they tell me something about the items being out of stock even though I could pull it up on the website and it shows in stock.

Paid for carpet I ordered. Tried to check on a special ordered door and wanted to check on getting another door but, no one was in that area at all the entire day 🙃. Went to Lowes instead. Did find out the special order was delayed till May 25th at the customer service desk want to sell my house asap, not good!

Gregg, who works in the garden department of the Newport News store, is the best! Every time he is there when I am shopping for soil, mulch, rocks (and anything else), he always asks if I need help. He gives great advice and always loads the big, heavy bags into my vehicle without being asked. Just a super nice guy who seems like he enjoys his job and helping customers! He is someone who represents the store very well.

Very poor sales support. Could not give us the time of day when shopping for appliances. Got great support at Lowes nearby.

I went in to buy bulbs for recessed lighting. Pop in. Pop out. The isle was blocked off because of a motorized lift coming through. It took a while. I waited about 15 minutes, which seemed longer. However, safety first. If I strolled further down the main isle, I would have found a pop up of special priced lighting. They had pop ups all over the place. Who wouldve thought. I was slightly detained, at the end I got what I needed.

Service with a smile...but since everyone wears a mask, you smile with your eyes! Sales lady was eager to get the item down from the shelf above for me.

Did not carry replacement cabinet doors, not very helpful in locating replacements.

Got a mini freezer and customer service representative was very helpful getting it on to a cart. Cashier was very personable & friendly.

I feel very discriminated against being a female walking into this store alone. None of the workers in rental acknowledged that I was standing there. The one in Hampton the workers would help me right away. I will never return.

Using the Home Depot app I was able to place items in my cart and once entered in the store I was able to navigate the items with ease. The staff here is very friendly and if they cannot help you, they wont leave your side until they find someone who can. Although they are all not knowledgeable they have some idea of where to go. I go here more than others for the sales and the customer service. They are not the cheapest by far as your local stores would give you better pricing. A great store hands down

Way better service than Lowes

I live in Atlanta, where we dread going to the Home Depot. I have literally stood in the middle of the aisle and screamed because I could not get any help. I did not have this problem with the Home Depot on Chatham Drive, in Newport News. Cindy in the lumber department 1st of all asked me if I needed help. She took her time to help to me figure out how to make my headboard based on my drawings. I needed other things and she knew where everything was. I stayed in the store over an hour. I didn’t want to leave. Her knowledge, attitude, helpfulness. Never had that at the Depot.Home Depot you need to clone this lady.
