Earlier today I went to Rooms To Go, Newport News, shopping for living room furniture. After shopping at several other furniture stores in the area, I settled on a set I found at this location. Christina took wonderful care of me, very professional, patient and informed. The encounter was comfortable and without feeling any uncomfortable pressure. Additionally, the price point was very reasonable. Bright, welcoming and pleasant show rooms. I highly recommend Christina for excellent customer service!

He gave us a brief introduction to the store, which turned out to be more helpful than we expected. He said he would check in with us in about 10 minutes. We did not expect to find what we were looking for so quickly, and Johnny did not rush us. Once we had questions, he patiently explained everything to us. My Rooms To Go experience exceeded my expectations. I was greeted immediately by sales associate Scott. He listened carefully, understood my needs and worked diligently to fulfill my need. Malia was the sales associate behind my 5 star rating. She was genuine and that made me trust her recommendations. In passing, she mentioned that she was new to the job but as a customer, I would’ve never guessed that. She was knowledgeable of both product and product placement on the floor. I had done months of mattress research but nothing beats feeling them in person. I shared my price range with Malia and unlike many other stores in the area, Rooms To Go had so much to offer. I did spend over what I initially intended but their sales and promotions were unmatched in our area. Quality and value were top notch. Malia, I thank you for your patience. Great experience!

Good selection and pricing but you get to the end and they getcha. They will not give you any kind of call before delivery. I just needed 10 minutes headway but the agent said no way.... if you are not there they leave right away. They literally require you to stay home an entire day to take delivery. Plus at the very end you discover a delivery fee of an extra 100 to 200 dollars. Definitely figure in an extra 500 dollars over their prices for the other accessories not included such as an extra 100 to 150 for the power for any couch seat that had a power button, money for the extra 12 inches on the couch etc etc.

I didn’t purchase anything due to the item I wanted not being in stock but the costumer service I was shown by Malia was phenomenal. Despite my item not being available, she has a thorough knowledge of the inventory and didn’t let me leave until she exhausted all of her options. Wonderful job Malia that’s manager behavior I will definitely be back!

Great ExperienceMy son & I came to “Rooms to Go” looking for a sectional . As soon as we walked in CHRISTINA. W approached she welcomed us and asked for ours names gave us a sells paper informing us about the sale and told us to let her know if we need anything. I was relieved she introduced her self and gave us space so we could look around. I always feel a little anxious when a sales rep follows me around asking questions. So I was relieved I like Christina style.Once I found what I was looking for I called her and she was ready to help me place my order. But before she did that Christina took a lot of time to tell me about the sectional the measurements and explain the prices, etc . This was probably the easiest, most enjoyable furniture shopping experience my family has ever had. We already knew which sleeper sofa we wanted by shopping on the website. We brought a printout with us and was quickly greeted at the entrance of the store by Johnny. He showed us our furniture on display along with some other accessories. He was very professional and friendly. We were able to see the mattress options and also bought an accent rug to go with it. I went to RTG and was greeted by Johnny. He directed me to the areas of the store to find what I was looking for and came by to check on me periodically. He was the first salesman to tell me the best way to get the most out of my viewing by giving me the layout of the store before I got started. He also let me know about payment options other than purchasing in the store. He created a purchase order that was emailed to me so I could pay by PayPal, Affirm, credit, debit from home. Great option if you did not truly come prepared to purchase but just look. I was able to pick my delivery date and was sent frequent updates on my delivery location. Installers were prompt and friendly. Furniture is beautiful and Im a happy customer!

The absolute only reason rooms to go has so many five star reviews is because when you purchase an item, they tell you to leave a review knowing it will most likely be positive since you are spending money there. That’s where the good news ends. Sure, the purchasing was pleasant but it has been a nightmare since then. We bought a sectional and a dinning room table set. When we received the sectional, it wasn’t just the wrong color but it’s the only color they sell. The floor model isn’t even available for purchase which is what we used to pick paint colors using their own color swatches. But we pushed forward, our first mistake with this company. After delay after delay for the rest out our items to arrive (no chairs came with the table and one piece of the sectional still MIA) we finally get the table chairs. All but one chair (five total) wobble. So they did a solid by exchanging them. However, the chairs they brought to us were worse than the originals. The delivery driver decided that the best advice he could give us was to spend more money on felt pads to fix the unevenness of the chairs. I’m sorry, but when I spend over $5,000 in a store, I expect it to not feel like I’m on a sea-saw rather than a dinning room chair. This was followed by further incompetence of said delivery driver. I’m at the point where I want everything returned. Rooms to go will sweet talk you into a purchase and leave you out to dry. On top of all this, every time I go into the store there “isn’t” a manager. How? In the middle of the week in the middle of the day you don’t have a soul in there that’s a manager or delighted with manager responsibilities. When I asked for them to call the manager then to get the answers to questions I had about out first bad delivery I was told that “I don’t bother the manager on his day off”. I’m glad your boss can’t be bothered while you have unsatisfied customers. I will be more than happy to share my experience with anyone that has questions about our services provided at rooms to go. They have terrible customer support. They have item for sale that aren’t even in their product line. They are unwilling to make phone calls to get answers. Please ensure that if you have any issues with your purchase from rooms to go, that you complain about it when it consciences them.

I’m a first time homebuyer that recently purchased my first ever furniture from rooms to go and the experience was less than satisfactory. I’m not the type to leave reviews. I’m usually an “it’s all good” type of person, but I’ve had to send the chaise portion of my leather sectional back twice. Once for scuffs and deep scratches on the back and again for damage to one of the mechanisms that make the back seat cushions slide back and forth. I tried to ask for a discount for the inconvenience, but they told me I’d have to keep the damaged furniture to get any type of discount. So I had had to pay my first months bill for a couch that I haven’t even gotten to enjoy yet because they keep sending me damaged goods. When I sent it back the first time they brought me some junk they got from wherever and tried to tell me it was new, even though it was already opened, fully put together and damaged. It came wrapped in dirty moving blankets and also had some scuffs where the plastic had ripped and the exposed the leather. If it was new, it would’ve come factory wrapped like my original piece did and the back cushion would not have been broken. We’ll see how this next piece comes. I specifically asked for a brand new factory wrapped piece. Hopefully, third time will be the charm. Forgot to add that their delivery service is horrible. The time frame is moved further and further back all day long. You’ll start with a noon delivery and end up with a 8pm delivery, so just clear your schedule for the day if you’re waiting for your furniture. And be prepared to help the delivery guys like I had to because they were so tired by the time they got to me that they could barely bring the furniture in. At this point, I’m over it and I just want my furniture to come in good condition.

I had recently moved to the area and had no idea what I wanted honestly. Well, she took the time not only to show me what was on the floor, but also what was online. My couches are great. We are receiving them in 3 different delivery days. Received 3 parts a week after purchasing them. Recieving 2 more pieces today and the last piece in October. I was told yesterday the delivery was going to be between 1-4. It had not arrived. I called the company was on hold for 8 minutes then was disconnected. I called back an Dorthy answered she was very unfriendly with helping locate our delivery.

We came in today, looking for a new bedroom suite and were very impressed with the selection and had an awesome experience. It was our first stop and, of course, we found something we really liked. We shopped around some more at other furniture stores but, ultimately, we decided we really loved the suite we found at Rooms To Go. So we went back and were met by Mr. H. Williams who worked with us in purchasing the suite. He made it a very easy and quick process and took plenty of time to make sure we understood all the fine print. Originally we werent planning on buying our mattress today but he showed us a few on the floor and we found one we really loved and ending up walking away with not just a bedroom suite but, also a brand new comfortable mattress and some really nice lamps! We will definitely be back for any of our furniture needs!

Great experience. Sales safe was helpful but not pushy. He just gave us some tips and let us go about the store on our own. At purchase time he gave us some options but again wasn’t pushy or misleading. In and out. Our sectional arrives next week on the day we picked. Much faster than the other furniture stores could deliver.

The staff assisted each other with helping customers, they also helped me to load my items into the truck because the moving staff werent at work today. It was my first time visiting the store. I visited three other competitors stores, but they didnt have what I wanted. Here the employee showed me what I was looking for.I seen a lot of items that I would purchase later during my next remodel. After waiting 14 days the sectional that was bought to my home had two left recliners. I went to the Rooms to Go store where I made the purchase in Newport News Va the manager said call customer service and appeared clueless what to do next. After asking him to give me customer service contact information he did and walked away ( NON CARING). I had to make ALL of the arrangements to resolve the issue. It seems after your money is spent you are meaningless professional grade is a F-.

I don’t even want to give a 1 star. I would put zero if it permitted. I ordered a bedroom set from this company back in October 2020. They have rescheduled the delivery of my furniture 4 times and I have been only getting pieces here and there. The mattress was delivered by itself in Nov 2020, then the side tables and Chest of drawers didn’t come until February 2021, but the Chest was damaged and had to be sent back so I had to wait a few more weeks for that and the bed frame. When I asked about my dresser they didn’t know what I was talking about. When I called the store, they realized it had never been put in the system for delivery and would be delayed until April. April comes around and I get a call that it is delayed again until June. Now I just received a call today telling me that my dresser is delayed again and won’t be here until November 2021. That is OVER A YEAR since I purchased it. When I asked the girl that I was talking to if I can speak to her manager, she was rude and told me that she wasn’t going to put me in touch with her manager and I “can call the store myself because she was the distribution center and didn’t deal with that.” So I called the store myself and was told that it was the distributions problem and they couldn’t do anything about it, but nobody could put me in touch with their managers. All I can say is this company is seriously lacking at customer service.The fact that it takes more than a year to receive a piece of furniture is absolutely ridiculous. And it is even more unprofessional and ridiculous that nobody seems capable of addressing my concerns. I will never buy furniture from this place again and anyone who asks my opinion I will let them know not to even bother and go somewhere else. I will also let my company know never to buy furniture from them to furnish our offices. I am seriously disappointed in this place and with its employees.

My shopping experience was wonderful. If you shop here, hopefully you’ll never need customer service! My customer service was horrible! When they delivered my furniture I had just gotten out of the hospital and wasn’t allowed to walk upstairs. I tried calling customer service for days with no call back at all! When I finally got through and told them the guys who set up my bed left me barely over a foot between the footboard and the bedroom door to squeeze through, they told me they wouldn’t help me! All I wanted was for them to come move the bed.

After moving from Germany to VA....I had no furniture at all 😂😂 I got tired of the echoes in my home and went to Rooms To Go. I coached myself in the car and said, Were only looking. I was literally in there for 2 seconds when I met two of the best employees Ive ever come across. Danielle & H were so kind and knowledgeable. Today I came in Rooms2go for a nice affordable bed. I was greeted at the door by Mary with a warm friendly smile. She made my experience today very pleasant. She was very informative on every furniture piece in the store. She truly made my day amazing. Not only that I spent way less than I thought I would. UPDATE: 2 stars for the actual sales rep…My statement below was right after the purchase of our furniture.. our sales associate was courteous, kind, greeted with excitement to help us. However, after purchase was a DISASTER.. I was called by a lady representative, who’s name I’m gathering and reporting today, who told me my delivery window. It was not okay with my or my military husbands work schedule. We got off at 1. However, our managements office had individuals who could allow the delivery team in and guide them to our apartment it’s ease. She informed the delivery team would not go in the office, call the office, if they were not waiting at the door from 7-11, or if my husband and I were not there then our delivery would be re scheduled. When purchasing I was told the customer came first at rooms to go.. but it gets better.. I called customer service. He informed me anyone over 18 appointed by the buyer can accept the delivery. Not only was this lady rude and laughing as I told her it was not a true inconvenience for the drivers to call ahead to inform delivery.. but she even lied when asking a manager if my leasing office could accept the delivery.. if the manager was aware of this situation I’d hope he would fire her and hire someone who’s courteous and respectful of others work schedule. After the encounter I’ve read horrible delivery reviews, I truly hope the actual delivery goes smoothly.. if not I’ll be returning for money in exchange.Many people can relate that browsing for new home features can be stressful. Since this was our first go round with new furniture for ourselves, we definitely took a bit of time, went to various locations, choose an option and then found something else that made us second guess. Without a doubt I can say that my husband and I had a wonderful experience here. We were greeted kindly, we asked several questions which not only were answered, but also asked some questions about our space, our taste that concluded our final decision.. not only that but it was concluded after hours without anyone ready to push us out of the store. Courteous and mindful, respectful and caring, and above all considerate of customers money at the end of the day. Our associate was mindful of our choice and that it was a purchase we did not want to regret. I highly recommend this store.

Jas was great with customer service. She showed me different Living Room furniture. She took the time to show me how to mix and match the pillows to what ever color I wanted the sofa to be. I really appreciated the time she spent with me because I was new in town and really didnt know what to get. It your looking the furniture Rooms to Go is the place and salesman name is H. Williams. Awesome selection and a wonderful atmosphere. Can’t say enough about Mr Williams he was wonderful to me and is full of patience!! Can’t tell you how many times I walked the showroom round and round with him with me not saying a word just there to tell me if it was available or not. So go and get furniture and ask for him! Kayla was amazing and extremely helpful. She endured our 20,000 questions and didn’t complain as we went back and forth between basically the same 3 couches trying to decide which one we wanted it. We went on to get options and 3 days later came back, found Kayla again and purchased our sofa. She made everything as quick and painless as possible. Would definitely recommend!

I had a great experience at Rooms To Go our sales rep. Kayla was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She showed us every mattress we had in mind and some we didnt know about. Overall, an enjoyable experience and we would go there again.
