Very nice and knowledgeable. Everyone was helpful. I brought my vintage bicycle in that was gifted and I had no clue what it was or how to adjust it and they not only adjusted it but gave me a brief history on the bicycle. I also brought my sons bike in to have it adjusted and they didn’t blink an eye to help and I bought a basket for my wife’s cruiser from them. Thank you Village Bicycles.

My bike was repaired faster than expected despite the long line of bikes awaiting repairs. Originally stopped by Fat Frogs in Virginia Beach (great shop) but they had a 3 week wait (120 bikes in line) and the cheapest chain they had was $35. I assumed Contes wouldnt be any cheaper so I tried Village Bicycles despite the drive. They trued the wheels and replaced the chain in 2 days for $40. They were also very hospitable and gave me advice on finding used bikes online. The store is a bit out of the way for me to stop by regularly but I plan on keeping them in mind in case I buy a bike or need further repairs. Great service!

Village bicycles is a great place to find a good priced bike; new or used. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful; and, they had a wide selection which included accessories and apparel as well. The lady, Connie, told me that they can usually order whatever youre looking for if they dont have it in stock. The only problem was the parking. Be careful when backing out as you will back out right onto Warwick boulevard if youre not looking 😂

My husband and I abruptly decided to start biking and stopped by here with his used mountain bike and me with nothing. The staff here was amazing. Within twenty minutes my husband had all the things to fix his bike and I had my first bike in 22 years. The woman who helped us was juggling twenty tasks at once and didnt drop a single one. She was hilarious, kind, and treated us like regulars. I am so grateful to her and the gentlemen there that helped my husband. I look forward to visiting again and again.

As advertised! Outstanding customer service. The employee came out to my vehicle and very easily could have sold me tires. She didn’t, instead educated me on the wear and tear of them. I stopped in Saturday and was so impressed with the customer service! James spent almost 45 minutes answering my questions and ensuring I was looking at the right type of bike for my preferences and experience. Ill definitely be back to test ride (and likely buy) a bike when the weather improves.

My wife and I just moved to Virginia, and we needed some tune up for our bicycles. We chose Village Bicycles and didnt regret it at all. They provided the recommendations, gave us reasonable prices, and even Mr. Walter helped out in placing our bicycles on the bike rack. The folks were very nice, professional, and hands down love what they do in giving us helpful tips and advice for being beginners. I plan to return for any other bicycle services and/or buying bicycle products. Convenient and reliable!

Village is my go to for anything bike related. From sales, parts, service or just friendly conversation, you will find it all at Village Bikes. They are not the typical bike snobs, they wont they to upsell you, and are honest and very fairly priced. Their prices are very close to what you would find online, so skip Amazon and buy local!

Been there several times now. Right now a lot of people are interested in their bikes. Expect a slight delay in service. They are quick to tell answer your questions. Only draw back is that they are only open Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

My husband and I went here today to get new bike accessories for a bike I purchased yesterday. We have been here before and it’s local so of course, we wanted to support it. When Connie asked us if there was anything we could find my husband told her we were just looking. We knew what we were there for however, she responded rudely saying that we would prefer if we weren’t here and proceeded to step back from my husband. Before he could respond, she greeted and started helping an incoming customer. I’ve had some bad customer service experiences in the past but this one takes the cake. I understand it’s scary times out there but there is absolutely no justification for treating a human being like that. I was hopeful in finding something there but I refuse to ever shop there again. I’ll definitely be telling others to find another local bicycle shop to support.

They went out of their way for me and ordered me the bike which was out of stock everywhere. To top it all off they didnt even make me put a deposit to order it... The staff here were very helpful and tolerant of my two year old! I am an amateur bike-rider, getting an evaluation on a vintage bike - and they were very honest without trying to convince me that I needed repairs that werent necessary. Also, my son left some toys in the shop and one of the guys who does bike repairs went back in to retrieve them!

Definitely not the place to go if you want fast service or pleasant customer service. Took my bike in for repairs and waited over a month when I was initially told about a week. Then when I called after over 2 weeks I was told a day or two. Finally got it about a month later (not in time for my husband to take it on a trip) and Walter had the nerve to cop an attitude with me. Will be finding a new place for my biking needs. I will say the lady who works there is very pleasant and I hope Walter keeps her there to off set his lack of people skills.

I brought in a tire and that needed to be fixed.. They did a great job!! So much so that I later went back to get new tubes and a new tire for my bikes.. I selected something that was overkill for my type of riding.. The owner informed me that I was free to buy the tire but that I selected was overkill and offered me a different one for half the price.. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of the staff.. I will be sure to return when in town..

Love this shop! I initially took my bike to a competitor to be assembled; where it literally sat in the box for 2 weeks. Lame. I brought it to Village Bicycles and they had it fully assembled, FINISHED the very next day. My husband and I picked out new helmets and I happily rode my bike home from the shop. Very impressed with the down to earth and non-salesy staff. Definitely will be bringing my bike here from now on. Thanks!

I drove all around Hampton Roads searching for an obscure part for my Mavic rear wheel. I finally made it to Village Bikes, I should have went there first. Walt had exactly what I was looking for. These guys have a great vibe and are super friendly. Make your way to Village Bikes, highly recommended.

I visited looking for a Cruiser type bike. I wore the stinking mask out of respect for not getting the business in trouble. I couldnt tell if there were any new bikes or if it was a drop off for bikes needing repair. No one asked if I needed help and after walking around looking at what was there .... I left without a bike.

I just picked up my MTB that Village serviced. They are top notch. They treated my bike as if it was a person and just gave it what it needed to ensure I had the best possible product when I left the store. They also warrantied their work and said if needs anything just bring it back. I highly recommend Village Bicycle.

I frequent a couple of different bicycle shops in the area, and Village is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Those of us that have lived here for a while remember when this was Contes, but now its an independent shop. Its not the flashiest store in the most glamorous part of town, but they sell good quality merchandise and do good repair work at honest proces fast. My husband crashed his bike and needed the wheel trued and brakes fixed before a trip on short notice. Other shops quoted me two weeks to get it back (for a simple repair), Villages crew had it in and out in under 24 hours for $25. Fantastic!

Whether buying a bike or having one repaired you will not find anyone more friendly and knowledgeable than owners Walt and Connie. A great mom and pop businesse with very competitive prices of the franchises.

I ordered a part with them and they asked me to leave my info because it would take up to a week for delivery and they would call me. A week and half went by and I didnt receive a call from them so I called them to ask about my part and they told me they had received it a few days prior. Last time I ever purchased anything from them.
