Hot topic is different from when I used to go, but in a good way! They have much more variety. They have tons of anime merchandise, from all of the different popular animes! This is very different as they used to sell mostly band stuff. Theres also alot more color, theres a bit of a hipster vibe. I love it. Theres a large selection of backpacks, which Ive never seen before! That was pretty cool, as they had many different themed backpacks. The sets of clothes are very nice, I saw many outfits I enjoyed. They had pusheen stuff as well which was adorable! They have way more plushes and such, all are so soft. Socks and clothes are very nice quality, had a nice selection of hats as well. The sales on the piercings and plugs is amazing, such a deal. If you can get there, do it. Theres tons of sales at this location and its always got everything. Bigger candy and toy section than I remember as well. Workers are super nice and welcoming and helpful. I would totally recommend this location.

Ton of cute shirts, socks everything clothing. Staff was soooo nice and upbeat. So helpful to everyone there. They clearly enjoy being there and its such a great energy in the store

Staff was helpful and very friendly. The best part was they had mystery bags and boxes with themes. I have never seen that at a Hot Topic before. So fun! I got my boyfriend a Ramen & Anime themed box for his birthday. He should love that.

This location is set up very nicely! The staff is super friendly and willing to help. Their products are not super expensive, but the more expensive items are definitely good quality!

I wish they would actually carry more plus sizes in swim suits. They had really cute swim attire, but only sizes in small and extra small. Even the store employee was baffled. I couldnt even order anything bigger than small online, though they offered it, it was just out of stock and has been for over a month now. Super frustrating.

Hot Topic is always a store to shop at! However, if you are looking for great finds and excellent customer service, the Hot Topic at Patrick Henry Mall offers just that! Daulton assisting me through out my visit. He not only was very informative about all the products but helped me try to find a item through the HOT topic website. Unfortunately, the item was sold out but his patience and professionalism was above and beyond. Most definitely recommend this Hot Topic. The employees are superb and truly make shopping a pleasure.

Store was ok, had some good clearance sales but the bigger sizes can not be found here. When it comes to Hot Topic, I feel I get better deals shopping online.

The staff is cool and I like the selection.

Hot Topic still has all kinds of fun, cool stuff for all. I know they, like most retailers, probably cant afford to purchase as much stock to keep on hand due to the pandemic but they still have a ton of stuff. I wish they had more dresses on hand. I always find socks or stockings I want!

I brought my niece here for her birthday.. she loves Jojos Excellent Adventure Anime...sooo we ended up here. Great stuff if you like Anime but the space is small. However, she was happy with their selection of merchandise and all the t shirt selections.

I went in because they advertised Wanda Vision merch in the window. However there was non in the store. The store was a little cluttered when I visited.

Great customer service they had exactly what I was looking for.

Has cute things, the employees are friendly, immediately offered to answer any of my questions, very approachable, always found something to do, not just stand around. The one lady seemed very tired and busy but still gave attention to me and was very nice and polite. She accidently bagged an item I didnt purchase into my bag and I didnt realize until I was back in my car. I rushed back to give it back to her. I hope she gets some proper rest. 4 out of 5 stars because the lighting is just a bit too dim. Bought a shirt that I thought was black or dark grey, turned out to be a lighter medium gray. The design doesnt look as good on the lighter fabric. Other than that I enjoyed my experience at the store.

Because of Covid-19 capacity was controlled. Always a cramped store less customers helped the shopping exspirence.Many items buy one get one discounted. They have increased thier sizes to accommodate full figure women. Thats a nice change.

Super small branch but good for the size.The staff is great and they rotate stock every week or two. If you are looking for anything specific I would recommend going somewhere in Virginia Beach but if youre just in the mall, I recommend stopping in.

To my dismay they had no Hocus Pocus themed merchandise although the website sells it. No one greeted us at all today.

In store they dont always carry all the inventory you can find online. Shipping (to store) takes quite a bit, but I find that better. The staff are friendly and helpful. My orders kept getting under the wrong name and I couldnt figure out why, the manager helped me figure it out.

As a person who LOVES Anime and Comics. This is my Go To for T-shirt and Tanks. Every popular or well-known show and comic they have apparel for. The have pins, the bands and musicians tees, socks. So much more. Go check them out.

The Hot Topic in Patrick Henry Mall is great for Pops! The manager is always very welcoming. Not a huge fan of the way the wall is set up now, but that is minor.

This place had lost touch with keeping up with modern times, but it seems like it has gotten a lot cooler and has more modern style now.

My experiance with the staff wasnt plesant. At the cash register the lady asked me if i wanted to round up 97cents to the hot topic foundation. She never explained what that was, and i was on a budget buying christmas presents for my sisters. Mind you, im sixteen and have limited funds. She scoffed rudley and muttered slmething like Everyday she was also ryde in giving me back my change. She laid it on the countertop and slid it towards me. Her nametag said peaches so i dont know who that is as ive never seen her there before. I love the store but the staff needs to be polite and respectful.

Everyone knows the mall is overpriced but Hot Topic is definitely worth it. All the coolest clothes and merch. Lots of DBZ and Harry Potter stuff to choose from for my fellow nerds. They always have sales to make up for their overpriced stuff too lol

Incompetent employees that leave out important details. Dont order anything from them believe me. I used to work at another location so I know when people are making excuses. Decided to give it a try after not going back in years and in the first time in 5 years I go back and they messed up my order big time. Go figure they have nothing actually good in the store I tried online and sadly they fail at that too.

I always love going there just wish they had more Supernatural items, more KPOP options in shirts and wish they bring back the music, but I really like that I can order online and pick it up at the store and the deals they have online are better

They had some kpop merchandise, and it’s really hard to find kpop merchandise around here. They have just about every type of item you could hope for for all kinds of fandoms and bands and such. Highly recommend!

The only reason this store gets 4/5 stars because its a little crowded for the space. but the employees are very friendly and willing to help with any needs.
