I went to get breakfast and noticed the cook had just taken the trash out. She didnt wash her hands before going back to cooking.

Dee is the best! He always manages to make my day with his positive attitude. I can always rely on his food from the deli.

Love this place. The employees make me feel welcome here because they remember me from previous visits. Will come here everytime for my groceries!!!

Prices are expensive in a low community also I cant seem to understand how there is noone to wipe the carts down at all no sanitizer stand even for is customers to wipe out own baskets down..u need to do better mr.scott

This place is over pricing the chittlings by 13.00 dollars... a box is normally 24.00 but they jacked price up to 35.00...dont buy from here..just grabbed a box from Kroger for 24 00...and food lions are great for their stock during holidays....this is very sad...I use to really like this store...

Great clean store. Cashiers and staff are always friendly. A lil bit on the pricy side, but the meats are always reasonably priced.

I sent my daughter to the store to purchase some items for me. One of the items was incorrect, so I asked her to go back to the store with her receipt and purchase the correct item or ask for a refund. Shortly after, my daughter sends me a text and tells me that they accused her of stealing it, and they had to run the cameras, even though she had her receipt! So I immediately went to the store, and by then, the cashier who rung her up previously had already explained to the manager that my daughter indeed paid for her items. However, when I got to the store, security was standing behind my daughter, while the cashier and manager was at the register completing a refund. I asked them why would you think my daughter was stealing, even after she showed you her receipt The cashier responded and said she saw my daughter walking up and down the isle and didnt purchase anything. So she decided to do the right thing and notify her supervisor. The right thing wouldve been not to accuse my child of stealing if you didnt see her take anything! When I asked her if she was going to apologize to my daughter, her response was she did not accuse my child of stealing. If you have security standing behind my daughter while you check your cameras, then thats accusing her of stealing!!! She even said well some people do steal That doesnt mean you treat everyone like thieves. I live on the street directly in front of the store, and I have given you a lot of business. But you will never get another dime of our money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I will definitely spread the word!!

The aromas from deli drew my attention. Food looked hot and fresh. Was difficult to choose, but finally decided on bbq chicken, mac-n-cheese, and green beans. Employees were friendly and very customer oriented. Going back on Friday for fish and salmon cakes! Surprised the store wasnt busier being so close and convenient to numerous shipyard departments/activities.

First time in the store today. It was very clean. We went to the deli and Tiffany was so wonderful at giving customer service and introduce us to the Chief Nee who cook a wonderful spread today. Ms. Nee and Tiffany is wonderful and for their excellent customer service I will return. Thank you

Service with a smile. Great place to shop with weekly deals. They do a lot of things for the community. Give them a visit and try their hot bar, food is delicious.

Love the discounted for sale meats. I get very happy. You can get lucky and get t-bone for 3 dollars and change. And the hot food area, is alot more cleaner than the one in Norfolk.

I drive from all the way uptown to go get my meats here.I feel like I won something when I walk out stacked with meats for a large family for a couple of weeks at amazingly low prices.I hear they have a meat truck ever so often, waiting for that opportunity.The other items are pricey, save those for a trip to Walmart or even a dollar store.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Its a cool spot for saving and shopping pretty good meat selection clean deli spot overall its a good supermarket. Just wish they stock up more on the Goya brand and all the great/good Jasmine rice only comes in small bags 😟 other definitely would recommend.

My best friend stop by there today to get us breakfast and I am here to tell you it was fantastic. If you are use to a good home cook breakfast of grits in butter, cheese eggs, corn beef hash this is the place to go pick it up. One breakfast can feed two adult people and the price was excellent

Store is very clean. The meats were priced wonderfully. I think the other items were a little more than some stores. I believe its due to the neighborhood. The other ones Ive been to arent that expensive.

Expensive as hell and you dont even have half the product of a regular grocery store. SaveAlot even has better things. I cant even buy an avocado or asparagus. If you did have it, you would charge twice as much as farm fresh and the product quality is twice as LESS!

I shop here from time to time. They have been open for some time now and the prices are somewhat reasonable. The problem Ive had has been getting a stock of WHOPPERS in(Chocolate covered malt balls in a milk carton). Ive requested this item several times, and it seems that the manager doesnt want this candy in the store as the other store in the area has them in stock. So, I think they can have them in this store. Someone please get the manager here to start stocking them.

Went in to get something to eat at the deli, waited for the lady to finish what she was doing behind the counter when she turned around she asked the man standing behind me and to my right, may I help you. Looking right past me to him. Wow. Guess I did not have enough white privilege this day. Never will step foot in this place again.

Not a very big storefront, lacked fresh items and the prices are significantly higher in this part of town. The staff was friendly and it was cleanly hence why they get at least two stars. But the store did not meet the Piggly wiggly ambiance you get when compared to its southern stores. The store location is off the highway and next to a police station, generally felt safe when shopping. Do not think I will go out of my way to come back shopping though. Hoping business picks up and they rearrange themselves into full Piggly wiggly fresh friendly potential.

Outside of the wait everything was great. We ordered the 8 piece of chicken and mac n cheese. It was hot and delicious. I would recommend them to anyone who wants the taste of homecooked meals.

Nothing fancy... If your looking for something special for a southern dish youll find it here... Most items are a but pricey but they have decent sales if you know how to shop... Their hot food smells great cant say how it taste as Im too picky to try new things lol...

The layout of the this location is very easy on the eye. Sure hope it stays that way being that its NEW. There was lots of selection, spacious isles and good lighting.

My husband has been wanting to check it out since it opened. He grew up with a piggly wiggly. So we finally went. They are over priced on just about everything. Not at all what I was expecting. Now everyone was nice and we were greated when we entered just dont think we will be back.

I love there 5 for 5 and for the most part you would have to shop here the second week and the last week of the month to grab a sale

Though I dont go here to make my entire grocery list, the deli serves some the most amazing homestyle meals. Cafeteria style so you choose your entré and sides . Some of the best fried chicken this side of my mamas kitchen lol. Enjoy!!

The store was neat and clean. Prices of some items were higher than at other grocery stores and the vegetables did not look as fresh and vibrant.

Selection is okay. Very cheap prices, as well as some meat products you wont find elsewhere (such as jowl bacon). There is also a deli that produces freshly packaged meals daily.

THIS LOCATION IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS IVE SEEN. THEY HAVE A DELI OFFERING FRESH HOT FOOD. THIS IS THE ONLY STORE IVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE SMOKED PORK STRIP SEASONING MEAT. ALSO HAVE SOME GOOD DEALS IN THE MEAT DEPT. PRICES ARE AFFORDABLE.

For today it was great, had a few items Im always looking for that was on there weekly sale... Service was good, I was impressed with the young workers greeting you as you enter and as well as departed from this location.

Best food out there

It was nice to visit a Piggly Wiggly in Newport News, VA. The grocery store had EV-VER-RY thing I was looking for. Going to the big W was not an option! (Rhymes will ALL MART.) Thanks Piggly Wiggly for being right off of the interstate and having good quality food for pretty good prices! 👍🏾

I love walking to this store and the ability to get what I need without any harassment.

They have not fully stocked yet and they do not carry all the same products as the PW in North Carolina.. . Such as Brite Leaf hot dogs and certain brands of sausages. But they are getting there.

Everytime and I do mean every single time I go In here all their associates are rude have nasty attitudes and always being disrespectful and arguing with customers, you can never have a nice checkout experience they hire the rudest young girls and they don’t care if you tell the manager because he does absolutely nothing when you report them, who wants to go and shop where you are presented with an attitude at check out this is ridiculous just shut the whole store down or get new management and hire people who have better customer service skills and also make them take classes this is ridiculous on all levels

Terrible. worst shopping experience ever. Talk about racial profiling. Never seen a store stocked with so many racial puns. The produce section was a disgrace with wilting lettuce simply on a shelf with no water spray. Very little in non-gmo selection. Why would there not be the option of healthier food here. Could it be the location.If you are looking for an endless supply of fried chicken, moon pies, chitterlings, raison pies and grape everything then this is the store for you. Otherwise this place is a disgrace. Food Lion has far more sales and prices are even cheaper all around. Piggly Wiggly is not a healthy choice at all.
