Cute store they had the cassava flour I wanted, the casava leaves the oil, the peanuts powder and customer service was great, I got the help I needed to find what I was looking for, had a great conversation with the vendor. Overall it is a great experience and great products. I am not familiar with the prices in the area but I think the prices where not high so dont take my word and go check it and enjoy their food.

I’ve lived in the Newport News area for about 2 years now. I’ve always had to go pretty far for some ingredients to make African dishes. I finally came across Ubbego international store and it’s been such a convienient discovery. Although the owners are Nigerians’ they are very aware of the diverse cultures in Africa and hold great insight on preparing many African dishes. I was looking for an ingredient and he didn’t have it, I asked him about it and the next time I went there it was there. If you ever want to explore African dishes they will take the time and help you. I always expect to learn a few things any time I visit. Thank you!!!

I had entered their store front today and the customer service was horrible, she followed me around the store as if i was gonna take something, she seemed snappy. not sure if she was having a bad day or what. I felt as if she was profiling, I understand the location. All I know that it is a place a business and every person that walks through that door is a potential customer and should be treated as one. Being it was my first time entering the store, Im justly appalled and the way i was treated i wont be coming again, nor buying anything from this particular store. If I could give zero stars for my experience I would. I definitely will not return and make my purchases somewhere else.
