Very clean, and very helpful staff. I love going here because I always needs need little ends and odds for my house. When I go to larger stores, theres just so much to look at, you forget why you came.Here at Ace, you can just go up and down each isle and collect what you need. No overwhelming desire to shout Marco!

Great local source of obscure plumbing parts and convenient if you dont want to go to The Big Box store of Lowes or Home Depot conveniently located across the street from Todd Stadium there is limited parking though and the prices are a little higher than you would expect at the big-box store.

Found just what I need employees are very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed my visit very much will definitely return

Big box hardware stores do not have everything you will need. If you dont find what you need here, its going to be a long search or shipping time to deal with because they actually have most hardware you cant find and friendly helpful people who know where it is in their store. Best parts of your visits will be that you wont leave wondering whether you could have had what tou came for when they had it, a little free take on how to do some repairs, and that smell of a small town hardware store.

This hardware store is good place to shop for something you needed to diy projects. Some items get final lower cost than other warehouse stores when you use coupons. I like the store, however; sometimes long waiting in line to pay one item just because cashier in slow process with other customers or theres just one staff member.

The worst.?The worst I have ever seen Greg the manager must have been dropped on his head as a baby. He doesn’t know his name. I sure y’all have seen it.if he gets a call he says he’ll call you back and never does. If u ask me he’s sat in the margaritavill a little bit too long and didn’t wear any sunscreen!

The ONLY store in the area that carried a hard to find safety mask for home and professional use. All of the bigger box stores have been sold out for months.

Did you know they had a service to put new screens into your houses old and busted screens?! We didnt. Glad to have them around!

Nothing beats the fast friendly personal service of a local hardware store. Has some keys made in a couple other items, good experience. Definitely better than the big box stores

Why Ace Hardware? The essence of this store is customer service. I had a specific plumbing need. The Ace associate greeted me, observed my attempts to find a part, gave me a minute, and then proceeded to ask me if I needed assistance. He spent 10 minutes or so trying to find a part to fit my need. The solution: a standard plumbing item that could be repurposed for another use. Well done associate... Thank you Ace. Ill be returning there...

Ace is the place they very convenient and are a bit expensive, but convenience. The big box stores are only @5 miles away, but youll spend 20 min each way for a quick visit.Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.They have a good selection.

If you dont know anything about paint and youre coming here to buy paint DONT. I had to figure out everything on my own using Google. The guy behind the counter was nice but didnt have a clue about paint. He didnt know the difference between matte and flat and semi gloss and recommended that I use outdoor paint indoors... The fireplace should have been primed first, we expect these professionals to know these things, but sadly he didnt. The store manager Greg was extremely rude. Next time Ill go to Lowes and save myself the headache.**UPDATE: Manager Alex is AMAZING and made everything better, he refunded me for the wrong paint I was sold, and gave me a free can of primer so I can fix the damage done to fireplace.

Always have what I needed

Staff is friendly(for the most part.) They have what you are looking for almost every time. There is rarely any wait at the checkout. The staff is willing to assist you without being asked and seem to be very knowledgeable. The only downfall to this place is the parking lot, but they cant help that. Therefore it is still 5 stars...great store.

Just down the street from us and we definitely are shopping there quite often. Very friendly staff, convenient location, and love to take advantage of the coupons we receive. Definitely recommend !!

Helpful staff, tons of repair items for electrical,plumbing, lighting. If you handy, save a TON of money fixing it. Also, one item incorrectly had sale tag still up week late and they honored the sale price even though they pointed out the expiration date. If you close to them SAVE time and money.

Great hardware store

The staff was very friendly. The man in the key area helped me to pick out a pretty key for my mother.

Sure is nice to be able to get a replacement key fob without having to pay dealer prices.

There was an employee on duty who was no less than fantastically awesome in assisting me with my needs. She took me directly to the item that I needed which was replacement hinges for an igloo cooler. The place where the hinges were located I would have not looked there. I am convinced that she could locate any item on the shelf at the store. I just wish that there was more than one(1) of the item that I wanted in stock. Otherwise 5 stars would have been rated. All 4 of these stars go to the employee that helped me.

Awesome local hardware store. They dont have 500 of each thing, but they have one of 2 of everything you could ever need. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful in getting you started in the right direction. Always find what I need here - even those hard to find hardware pieces to finish off the next project.

A big thanks to Joe at ACE Hardware on Warwick in Newport News!!! I recently went to ACE seeking help assembling a garden bench. I had misplaced assembly directions and hardware. Joe took the time to come outside and look over the pieces of the bench in my trunk and told me exactly what I needed for the job. Im now sitting on my bench typing this note. Awesome personal service! Very knowledgeable staff. ACE is now our permanent neighborhood hardware store.
