We just love Harbour Freight! Great prices on tools from big to little. With that being said as something who has worked most of my life in retail, the customer service is less than friendly...I have rarely been in and have had anyone ask if I need help or explain how things work, and the cashiers are like bumps on a log! I guess everyone is just there for a payback, so I give 5 stars for price and availability and 1star for customer service 😔

Harbor Freight has traditionally been the go to place for inexpensive tools, especially for one time limited use. In the last couple of years, they have stepped up their game and started offering some better quality items in addition to the disposables. Unfortunately, prices have increased due to China trade tariffs. I bought a belt sander 2 years ago for $48; now the same item sells for $80. At the same time, the 20% off any one item coupon has disappeared. The staff at this store is not very knowledgeable - even about the stores products. While generally polite, they are not very friendly and act as if they would like to be someplace else. My recommendation: watch the sales, check online reviews, and do not impulse buy at this store. One sure warning --- dont buy their inexpensive pistol grip clamps. They break due to plastic parts.

Usually I have a pleasant experience here. They always have what Im looking for and the employees are always friendly and helpful, however today that was not my experience. The supervisor, Faith was extremely rude and obnoxious and the sad part is I was just asking where a particular item was located! The store was NOT busy and I had a picture of the item in my hand so it would have taken her less than 5 minutes to just tell me where it is. Ironically, the cashier next to her (Donald, not a supervisor) was awesome. The item was located in the back so he had someone retrieve it from the back. As a supervisor she should be setting the example for the employees but today Donald set the standard for her. Please train your supervisors...Donald may be able to teach them something. If you avoid the supervisor, itll be a pleasant experience.

They are always great but went above and beyond today. I went to the Hampton store and they did not have the Jack I was looking for but they took it upon themselves to check the Newport News store and verified they had two. Once I arrived at the Newport News store Mikha and not only ring me up but also got the heavy Jack to my car unloaded it for me. This was greatly appreciated considering Im a disabled vet and those jacks are heavy.

Closest store to Williamsburg VA. Friendly associates, clean and organized. Affordable prices with quality ranging from DYI to Pro. They discontinued coupons and now offer savings specials. I enjoy shopping at Harbor Freight stores.

Has a smart, sales woman who knows where everything in the store is located, even though I could walk the store for hours. I am a Milwaukee tool man and they have economic comparisons in batt. power tools.

What ever I need I think about Harbor freight first.

I first went because I didnt have the money for good tools. Then to buy expendable items like drill bits and blades, and finally when I needed a tool for 1 job only.The results: the tools are junk. They have over heated or just stop working. The bits have fractured on the 2nd screw, and a gear puller.fractured after the cheap washers folded in half. Bottom line: never again

This place has everything a professional craftsman or a do it yourselfer would need. They sell tools that you will be able to pass down to your grandchildren. Their prices are always reasonable. Harbor Freight is the first place I always check when I need tools.

Great customer service, unfortunately the part I was looking for wasnt in stock here, but they did direct me to a store that had it in stock.

The staff was nice, the store was clean and had what I needed.

No curbside pickup but I still rely on Harbor Freight for many things. No trouble at all with any of the impact sockets. Had a super cheap air Chuck that didnt last long. I think it was only $6. Also had a 3/8 air ratchet go out, but I had the two-year plan on it and it was replaced no questions. They will do fine but you cant abuse them like some folks and shops do with the shop air at 150 psi. Install your own inline regulator and run it at 90 and it will be fine.

My favorite toy store !!!Yeah, I said TOY.Working on cars and other things is my hobby and this store supplies the toys I need to do my hobby.If you work w tools for a living, maybe you need higher quality. But, HF has recently started to carry the ICON, Vulcan and some other higher end lines.It is a great place to find that special tool you didnt know existed to make that particular task easier.You can pretty much always find a 20% off coupon. Although, that coupon usually excludes the tool boxes, things w gas engines and some of the more expensive items. Those items frequently have special coupons (look for HF coupon app).

I went to Harbor Freight to purchase a replacement engine for my rototiller. The store manager paused what she was doing, led me to the engine demos, asked me what engine I wanted, reviewed inventory, and told me the Hampton location had multiple units in stock. But if I wanted to wait 3 days, that store was receiving a shipment. All this was done in a friendly and professional manner.Great store.

Customer service is excellent. They went above and beyond to try and help me with no condescension. They didnt have what I needed, but that wasnt their fault.

Definitely worth keeping as a tool and supply shopping alternative. Needed a replacement wheel for a wheelbarrow. Lowes, HD and Tractor Supply were no goes.

Was just in the store and standing in line when someone working there told me I had to move the line so I did then other customers started to complain the line was where they are at, Employee that told me I was in the wrong line left and another employee told me I was in the wrong line, get your store straight!

Quality of tools is not the greatest, but usually get the job done. Their giveaways used to be varied, now they give away one item...a flashlight. Best for smaller items like zip ties . Really good prices on tires for garden equipment.

Went and bought some more camp chairs you cannot beat the sale price. Love the side table and much easier to get out of than the other type where seat sags down.

Never had a problem here. The manager of this store is friendly and amiable. The associates always know the right thing I need and are always helpful when I need to find something. All associates and management are knowledgeable of their products. Great store, I will visit again and again for low cost tools and products.

Harbor Freight has a great selection of inexpensive tools, air compressors, generators, welders and the like. I can find what I need at need at less expensive price than the big box stores. In addition they have air and electric tools much cheaper than renting them. I then have it available for my next project at no additional cost to me.

They always have what Im looking for and at reasonable prices compared to other places in the area. We were going to northern to get cement floor degreaser and stopped in harbor freight. My husband couldnt see it, I found it after coming out of the restroom, got regular and extra strength for $17, much less than the other which was selling 2 for $30. So much better at harbor freight, my go to place for that kind of stuff
