The storage units themselves are spacious and clean! The customer service is very nice.But the extra charges and high rate increases twice in a year is disappointing. We could be paying a car note for what we ended up paying. #disappointed

When a storage company that I was looking forward to establishing an account with, was not available, it led me to finding extra storage space, and it is so ironic that I stumbled upon them because everything I was looking for. They supplied, they had and they provided. Supreme vibe, extraordinary staff and outstanding company!!!!!!

I met with Tristen the assistant manager! He provided seamless knowledgeable guidance over the phone with respect to the size unit I would need. He got me all my documents and information. I was leased and paid up in less than 15 minutes. I then stopped by the location to pick up my lock. This wasn’t required, it could have been left in unit but I wanted to have everything in hand. He was very pleasant and represented the company well. He showed me how to use both entry systems both for driving and walking into the facility. The price was fair, insurance included and the first month was free! Highly recommend!

I checked pricing and availability before moving in 3 months ago. Signed a contract just to have the rates jump by $20 and no one will call me back. Feels like a bait and switch. Not an honest way to do business. Look elsewhere, this place is not trustworthy.

The Extra Space Storage at 801J Clyde Morris Blvd has and excellent and Friendly Staff.The facility itself is MICE INFESTED. My unit has mice droppings all over my totes and the smell of mice urine.I plan to move as soon as I find another place. ASAP

The representative that took care of me over the phone was professional, respectful, and friendly. Everything was successfully handled over the phone without any issues. The facility was very clean and my unit was ready when I arrived.

I decide to come here to check out storage units because the reviews were really good. As soon as I walk in I was greeted by the two people at the desks and Tristan is the one who helped me and showed me two units. I am a manager in the home improvement retail industry and when I say excellent customer service, he gave excellent customer service!!! This was my first and last stop, no need to go any where else!

Tristan Reid was extremely helpful at this location. I encountered some issues because I live in Richmond but the storage unit was being used for my son as he attended school in Hampton VA. I sent my son to move his own items out. Tristan provided step by step assistance which required a few extra steps because the unit was in my name. I received excellent customer service.

Teddi was very helpful and patient. Was very clear on instructions and helped me understand things I did not understand. Repeated information back to me to make sure it was correct. She was very friendly as well!

Ill be moving out the first chance I get and I just moved in 4 months ago. I was told I was being put in a large space and they gave me 3 small spaces. I let that slide. When I went to move in, the sign on the building said first month free which I did not get. I was given a reasonable explanation so I let that slide as well. I was upset to discover it was just as hot inside the unit as it was outside and Im pretty sure they said climate controlled. I still did not complain. Then I get a letter saying my rent is being increased. That was the last straw. Unacceptable!

If I could give them more than five stars; I would. I wasn’t able to go to the extra space storage location and they were able to help me get a unit over the phone. Zero stars for this facility and staff. Our unit had standing water and we had damaged stuff. We took pictures of the unit showed it to them they wanted to see it in person so we show them. They tell us they can’t refund any of the money that we paid for the bin. Then they proceed to tell us that we declined insurance when that is in fact a lie because we put insurance on any storage unit we get. An indoor unit should not be leaking let a lone have standing water. They should refund money and not lie by saying they can’t do anything about it. DO NOT use this facility unless you want to waste money.

I had an amazing experience today at Extra Space. I needed room in my house for new things but didnt want to part with the old. Today they made it possible to give me extra space! Their prices are so perfect! So not only did I have room but my pockets were happy. I was greeted with a happy smile and they helped me right away!

It was great getting a storage locker from Ms. T. I saw the locker space I needed online and when I called Ms. T she was very helpful in processing my order thru the phone. When I went over, as I looked around the storage area they were painting the storage building and remodeling the office. It looked very clean and maintained. Ms. T took care of my paperwork expeditiously and explained everything that I needed to know to rent there. I think I made the right choice with this storage facility!

Tammy was absolutely amazing she made the whole moving process and experience the best that I have ever had with a storage company. She was super nice and we talked the whole way to our unit. I hope her leg surgery goes good and I think you should hire more tammys ❤️ I will definitely be going though extra space storage if I ever need a unit again. Great facility. Polite staff. Pest free environment. Kept really clean and maintained. We just moved out since we now have a larger home with room for our belongings. But, If I need a storage unit in the future I Would return with no 2nd thoughts. Thank you for a hassle free experience!

Great customer service on the day I signed up to rent a new storage unit. No major issues, but slight disappointment regarding a noticeable change in treatment during subsequent office visits. Monthly rent also increased a bit within the first few months, but not by much. However, these used to be the reasons why this place stood out amongst other storage locations in the area.

Store Manager (Florence) was nice and very helpful.

My overall experience was pleasant. I used the unit for 5 months. The only downside was that the dolly was not accessible at any point of my move out; it was a two day process. That was not a problem for me since I had predominately light items but for most I can see how this would be a problem. The staff is excellent because they provide you with the fairest and most logical unit, even honoring online promotions. Would use again 👍🏽

Signed up today, Teddi was amazing and helpful. She showed me around different units, was very knowledgeable and had answers to all of my questions. In a 1 on 1 setting, she spoke highly of the company and its vision. For a person, unprompted to have such customer service is not normal in todays world but refreshing. Pricing was great, facility was clean, security camera and controlled gate access, I will be a customer for a long time.

To start, I was not able to find a unit I needed that was available. However, Teddi Florence customer service was impeccable. She took the time to walk me to three different units since I am a visual person. Additionally, she found me 3 other locations nearby and coordinated all the services for me. All I needed to do was walk in and reserve, and pay. She was Top Notch!

They have been very helpful in helping me find a storage unit. I was looking at public storage because they had a bigger unit for a lower price however after looking at this place they are A LOT nicer than public storage. 5 out of 5 would recommend

I’ve used this place before for short term storage but I wouldn’t recommend it for long term. Mold and moisture ruined a great deal of my stuff and the insurance is owned by them/a pain as any other insurance company would be while you need to make a claim. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean, but if you need long term storage, or if you have precious items I’d recommend climate controlled storage. This is basically a big metal shed you rent.

My experience with Extra Space was phenomenal. Teddi provided great customer service and answered all of my questions. The premises and storage units are well kept. If you are looking for a great place to store your valuables I highly recommend Extra Space Storage.
