Scott Patacchiola, the service advisor is awesome. Took my 2016 Ram 1500 in for service to fix an alignment that Pep Boys totally messed up. Scott was great. He was empathetic, and listened to everything. I was in and out in no time. They also replaced a 3rd brake light for only $15. Nothing beats a great service advisor and service department. McGovern has one of the best around. I bought my Ram here and Ill do so again. Happily...Thank you Scott!

Confirmed the car was for sale before I drove over an hour to see it. Drove there and sat with a salesman to talk. After he returned from getting the keys for a test drive, “Sorry, the car has been sold. Can I interested you I the same model, just $10,000 more?”. After two days, it was still online and available. Got my girlfriend to call and schedule a test drive. I show up and test drive it instead, bought the car that day. After the sale, never returned phone calls or concerns about the major issues the car had just days after purchase. Had to go to BBB to get a response every time and resolve me issue.

I had a great experience at McGovern. They are a no BS dealership and offer very fair prices. I had a very bad experience at Brigham-Gill Jeep in Natick which offered me very little money for my trade in and wanted a lot more money for the car I wanted, which almost turned me away from buying a Jeep altogether. But I was extremely pleased with my experience at McGovern in Newton. They gave a very fair offer for my trade in and also a great offer for the Jeep Grand Cherokee that I leased from them. If going to McGovern in Newton, ask for Max. He was very pleasant to work with and will provide you with a great buying experience.

Service assistant was very helpful and attentive…really great. I assume all work was performed correctly, as it always has been in the past.Interior of the car had grease stains on the running board, lower door panel and inside step.- so that was disappointing but certainly correctable with soft scrub soap and grease remover.

McGovern is extremely, professional, efficient and courteous. I had a pretty long list of concerns with my Dodge Charger, and they took their time to evaluate the issues reassured all my needs will be met. From Dan, Kevin and Scott, they were all deligently kind and delivered the best repair service I have ever received. After repairing my car, they took it on a test drive and was not 100% satisfied with the outcome and brought it back in to evaluate further. Once the finale repairs were made, and I drove my car away, and felt like I was driving a new car. Thank you McGovern Jeep. I highly recommend your services to anyone in need of repair. On Wednesday of last week, my wife was leaving Marthas Vineyard when her Doge Ram van experienced trouble with the transmission, and the vehicle had to pushed by several off of the ferry. She contacted me in NC, I called AAA. When I spoke with the driver, he recommended he tow the van to McGovern (not as close as other dealerships), because it was a well equipped and staffed dealership where wed have the best chance of getting her back on the road ASAP. Boy was he right! The following morning, first thing, I spoke with service advisor Ken, who had already scanned the vehicle for trouble codes. The next day after that, the vehicle was fixed. The following morning, I flew to Boston and quickly reached the dealership in Newton from the airport thanks to a tip from Ken, and drove the vehicle away. Warranty covered everything, simple software update to a computer that deals with transmission stuff. Ken communicated well every step of the way, and I really appreciate how he and the McGovern service department got my stranded wife (she had to stay in a hotel in Falmouth while the vehicle was disabled.) on the road quickly.

This dealership is the most ridiculous I have ever dealt with from sales to service I have had nothing but issues! They never return calls or emails, their service department has worked on my vehicles and has spilled oil all over my engine compartment, left air intake hoses unconnected and loose as well as tracked oil and debris on my vehicles. Complete Bush LeagueDo yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!! Managers promise to return calls regarding sales issues and never do....still waiting guys, still waiting....SMH

Called to see if they could check my car for a problem thats not easy to find. I have done testings there but they couldnt find the problem. Now the engine light came up but it last sometimes 2 days. I would leave the problem like that but the car and all electronics often shut down while driving, and the car many times doesnt want to start. I was trying see of I could go for a check-up before they light goes off and very rude lady on the service department hang up on me when I asked her what time could I go.I went to check the air conditioner and told me its $3500 to fix the air conditioner. I went to a mechanic and they fixed it for $711, and its being working better than expected.

Service advisor Eddie Sheingold is exactly that - gold. He was extremely receptive to my dire car situation; he was very easy to talk to over the phone; and you can tell he really cares about his customers and the well-being of their vehicles. Great guy. However, as with any dealership, the sales department is...fun to navigate. Got a $1500 quote from local garage for my transmission but was told by these guys that it was going to be $6800. I was told my alternative would be a trade-in...for $500. I could sell the brand-new tires and get more from those alone.

I can’t say enough about the service I received at McGovern. I truly felt helpless after being given the run around multiple times at a different dealer/shop in Dorchester. And I came here based solely on reviews as I don’t have a mechanic in Massachusetts. I was blown away right from the start. The service entrance was a breeze, not chaotic whatsoever. And as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Eddie who listened to my horror story of an experience. He test drove my car himself, constantly communicated with me about all updates, and even was able to help me with pricing after coming to the realization that the issues I was experiencing were due to the recent work I had done elsewhere. He really genuinely cared about helping me and it showed. The mechanic (I don’t know the name now) also test drove the car with me and immediately diagnosed the issue correctly. My car, after bringing it to another shop 4 times!! is finally fixed and driving great. I feel extremely confident referring them and am truly thankful!Anita

Nick Apanian assisted me and the service couldnt have been better.I had doubts about getting an new jeep. Nick insisted to atlease come for a consultation.Withing 3 hours I had a new lease, with a new Jeep Grand Cherokee 80th anniversary. Too bad there isnt a no star option. Asked the sales person over the phone if the vehicle is in good condition with no dents/scratches and explained i would be driving 1.5 hours and didnt want to waste my time. Salesperson stated she had seen the vehicle and it was in great condition. Drove there and when they pulled the vehicle out front there was hardly a panel on the car that didnt have scratches and gouges on it. Walked away immediately.Dont waste your time here.

I bumped into a unique audio problem with my wrangler. However, Eddie at McGovern was one of the most helpful workers i’ve met that made this experience and process much better and easier. Even though it took a while to figure out the issue, Eddie did not give up on me or my car once until the issue was resolved. I recommend going to Eddie for any kind of situation there is. Decent selection but definitely pricier than other dealerships. Looked at a car online from them, looked great on the pictures, but in person there was a bit of cosmetic damage to the vehicle. Wouldnt budge on the price. Fixed a few scratches, but that was about it. If I didnt need to purchase the vehicle that day, I would have went elsewhere. Not a terrible experience, but certainly not one Ill do again.

HiI Brought my 2015 Chrysler 300 very low miles and its my baby .it was making a ticking noise ..well when I went into the service department. Scott was right there to help.. He knew exactly what the noise was. I received my 36,000 mile service today. The service advisor recommended that I have a list of things done that I kind of questions but wanna do what I need to do or wet recommended to maintain my car so I agreed. The estimate was close to 1000. My last service had been six months ago and that bill was 500. Once I got home I looked up the maintenance schedule from Jeep And noticed that many of the recommendations were not on the service schedule. My advisor recommended that I have my brake fluid flushed my combustion chamber cleaned my 4 x 4 to have a complete service and to perform a complete coolant system flush and none of these are recommended on the maintenance schedule so I felt a little taken advantage of As I okayed the services because I was trusting the advisor was giving me good information. The six months ago visit which my car had about 32,000 miles at that point included a throttlebody service which is not on the maintenance schedule either so I guess the point is we careful with what they recommend it may be more than what you need

Poor experience trying to give my servicing business to McGovern in Newton for a 2 year old Jeep I purchased.Booked service appointment online and selected option for a callback so I could get an idea of pricing. Callback came next day, but couldnt give me an estimate so said a service rep would call me back. Four days later after no call I called back. Someone answered, sounded flustered and claimed he couldnt hear me and hung-up. I tried to call back immediately, no answer. I called next day, was told a service rep will call me - no call. Phoned the following day (now the day before my service appointment was booked) - again told someone would call me - no call.Tried to call to cancel my appointment so I could go elsewhere - no-one answered the phone so I was a no-show.Your loss - I live 10 minutes away, but have given my servicing business to another dealer further away.

The body shop at McGovern’s is outstanding. My brand new 2020 Hyundai received a hit by a huge chunk of metal in the middle of the highway not even 3 months after having it. Chris from the body shop was so friendly and portrayed excellent customer service. They dealt and communicated effectively with my insurance company where I didn’t have to worry for a second. You literally can’t even tell where the damage was on my car, and I am so grateful!! I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

I would not even give a single star.. I would not recommend them. My keyfob was not working so I take it in. They send me a quote of alot more problems my car had. I elected what I needed for the car including the keyfob. Was told they have to order for the keyfob. Which was fine, when the keyfob arrived was told to bring in the car. I take it in they program the key fob then give me another bill mind you I had paid for this keyfob what they did not tell me is the payment was for a shell of a keyfob, meaning I left when I had paid for half a keyfob unknowingly. Am so done with this dealership

DO NOT GO HERE my mom was harassed by William the sales man after we specifically told him to put our deal on hold till Saturday while we looked at a different dealership and we ended up getting an OVERLAND CHEAPER then what he wanted for a LIMITED. And when we told him we got an overland from a different dealership he kept calling my mom yelling and being very rude making her very uncomfortable and they were using a scare tactic to say that the bank approved on the deal and that we have to come and get the car when in reality nothing was official and we didn’t sign on anything official. This was very unprofessional to try and scam my mom who is a first responder and was working at the time when William kept on calling her. Worst experience at any dealership. I was contacted by Myles Tucci at McGovern Auto Group after listing my Jeep Wrangler for sale online. After answering a few easy questions about my vehicle, Myles made an offer and within just a few hours of first contact, the deal was done. The next business day I dropped off my vehicle and had a check in hand. I have to be honest, the reason I listed my vehicle online was because I did not want to deal with a dealership. However, Myles and McGovern couldnt possibly have made the process easier or more streamlined. I did everything from the comfort of my home office and once a check was printed, I simply showed up, signed a couple forms and was out of the dealership with my check in under 15 minutes. My backup camera suddenly started getting very cloudy in the past couple of weeks so I made an appointment to get it checked out as well as an issue with my hinge on my driver’s door making a very loud sound when opening and closing. I have an extended 7 year maxcare warranty but was advised that neither were covered and it would be over $900 to fix both issues. Even though in the the Jeep forums this exact issue was covered with other people because of the lack of insulation to prevent moisture from getting into the camera.

Please be advised that this company misdiagnoses vehicles and charges you for those repairs without recourse of their actions. Be warned. The problem will not be solved.Edit: After numerous attempts, escalations to BBB, and not knowing that Massachusetts lack the authority over their businesses, I had to escalate the issue to an attorney which resulted in a Resolution. Even though the cost of the attorney far exceeded the repair, its the principle. Issue resolved only after months after Chrysler Headquarters stated they have zero liability for mandating customers with existing warranties needing repairs to be only conducted by a legitimate Chrysler dealership. I am no longer a Jeep Chrysler RAM, purchaser. I have a fleet business now and this has drastically changed and improved my decision-making.

Im really disappointed with this place.Im looking for the best service for my Jeep Renegade and I found that the best rate is in this place, so I decided to bring my car here to make a Schedule Service B and to check them all powertrain because I felt my car different, a little vibration and sound, when I talked with the mechanic I explain in my own words, Im not an expert, the situation with my car and I left it for a full service.At its point, I need to say that the attention of Eddie was good, my complaint is not about him.After they checked, they told me that the powertrain was good, and the problem was the plugs and the ignition coils. Also, they said that the throttle body needs to be clean. I was happy at this moment because I thrust in this place I mean who wasnt after reading 4.9 of 5 stars?I paid $749.86 for the service.From the same day, I felt my car with the same problem, but I thought to give some time to see what happened. Well, after 1 week my car feels worst, the sound that made when I drove at 30 miles is there, the vibration after I put the drive gear is worst and now every time when I push the brake pedal to put drive, the transmission makes a clicking sound, and that it didn’t have before.My car is a 2018-year model, with the powertrain guaranty active.I dont know what I need to do to have good service without another charge for something else that is clearly not the problem.I felt that I wasted my money and my time!UPDATE: 10/25/21I have more than 1 year with the same situation on my Jeep Renegade 2018, I drop off my car several time reported the same problem but always they have a recommendation on my car with nothin related with the problem. My car have a really serious problem that coming from transmission system, Now they said the new struts and the new tires is the reason, but before my car have new tires and new struts, it has the problem.I cant understand how is possible they found problems in my car that it never had but they are not capable to find the real problem?I will not spend time and money with this dealer in Newton, MA.
