I just purchased my second used car from Lauterbach yesterday. I live an hour away and will drive to Newton time and time again to get my cars serviced and of course to get my next car. Randy was my salesman and he was wonderful. He took time to make sure I understood how all of the bells and whistles worked on my new-to-me car and was very patient. The atmosphere at Lauterbach Buick GMC has never seemed pushy to me. It is ran by the Lauterbach family and they make you feel at home.

Owner Dean and Jason Lauterbach are pompous. Doug Cupples thinks to highly of himself and it projected easily while he was showing me an SUV in the lot. Quickly was turned off by the attitude this dealership projected in my search for a new car. The selection of vehicles on site was very minimal. Heard from others that Jeff in the service department is unable to chew gum and walk at the same time. Dont waste your time, find a dealer nearby in Des Moines that appreciates you and your repeat business

I recently bought a pre owned car from this quality dealership with Brian Yardley as the salesman. Brian and the staff at Lauterbach are the real deal toward a very satisfying buying experience. No pressure at all, and when a couple of problems showed up after I got home 200 miles away, Brian even offered to send after the car and return my money. I decided to keep the car and then he went even further paying to correct the problems. This is the place to buy a car, and Brian is the man to see.

We bought a new car from Lauterbach a couple years ago and we returned to buy another one mostly due to the service we received. Our car had a small but unusual problem with the gas gauge. The service manager, Jeff, was determined to solve the problem unlike other dealers we dealt with in the past. We felt like he really believed us about what was wrong rather than dismissing the problem,The salesmen, Ken, was very knowledgeable about the new car we bought. Without him showing us how everything worked we would have had to scour the owners manual for days..Lauterbach didnt have the car we were looking for in stock but they found one exactly like we wanted. Overall it was a fun and pleasant experience.

Don’t back their work. Now I get to replace it again. This time my mechanic (from a different shop) will actually back his work and parts. Jeff in service could care less about customers.

Always had great service with them. Usually take our van or truck in to be service and they always deliver in a great amount of time and are always honest with costs of repairs.Would highly recommend!

We drove from the west side of Des Moines to look at a vehicle. After test driving the vehicle two of the doors were malfunctioning. We agreed on a price and they said they would fix the issue before we took possession. The fix turned out to be considerably more expensive than expected but they honored the price and fixed the issue. Everyone was low pressure and very easy to work with.

Always super helpful with car issues. I trust them with my vehicle and know they will get the problem fixed! Jeff is also super great to work with.

I have so much to say - but 1st I noticed their music choice - inside the office was playing K Love, A Christian music station. I was very pleased with the service provided from all team members I encountered at this location. Not only was everyone personable, but very helpful in assisting all the needs / questions I had. I was nervous walking into the car lot, but I was immediately greeted with genuine smiles & willingness to help! I was able to personally relate with the salesman, Doug. When I walked off the lot I felt no pressure or regrets with my decision. LOVE Lauterbach service! It was that time of year again, deer hitting season in Iowa! Like many two vehicle families, we were scrambling to get our vehicle fixed ASAP! We reached out to several auto body repair shops in our area - ALL were booked out 3-6 weeks. A friend suggested Lauterbach Buick GMC in Newton. They were HANDS DOWN the best full service dealership we have EVER worked with! They were as busy as the rest, however they understood our predicament and walked us through the best and worst possible time frame scenarios and worked magically to make the best happen! From A to Z, they nailed every aspect of collision repair from the initial estimate, connecting with our auto insurance, lining up/coordinating a loaner vehicle to be dropped off and picked up at Lauterbach, part ordering process to finalizing and contacting us when our truck was ready for pick up. I was AMAZED when I was contacted that our truck was ready for pick up - in less time than I expected! They were absolutely on point, professional and relatable! My husband and I commented that the truck looked better than it had even prior to the run in with the deer. We are grateful for that kind of service - it is truly rare to see that kind of excellence that crosses so many employees within a company. All I wanted to do was look on their lot to research my next car. A salesman came out and asked what I was looking for but he wasnt pushing or arrogant. I ended up test driving a Traverse the same day. He made some follow calls but again wasnt pushy like the stereotypical car-salesperson. I did purchase the Traverse and will continue buying from Lauterbach. The sales staff was awesome in honesty and their service.

Great experience, Doug Cupples, the dealer that helped us took his time and didnt rush even though we said we were looking. He showed us the features of the vechile we were looking at and even took time to explain some differences to our current one. We purchased a car a couple of days later with them. It was a great experience though every part of the process. I would highly recommend checking out what they have and purchasing through them.

Seem to be nice but unwilling to try to sell a vehicle to me. And they try to get you to buy something you are not interested in. Will not go back again. Have had this as well the last time I was needing a vehicle.

Service Center guy was very very rude..maybe racist. Acted like I was a pos and had no value for customer service. Did not throughly explain any thing even after I asked more then once. I also heard him and another working laughing as I was going to the counter about there was something wrong with someone car and they werent going to tell them, crazy what you hear from around the corner. Idc if it was the last dealer on earth to buy a car from...ima walk

This would be the last place Id ever take my vehicle. Condescending service advisement. Without even seeing my vehicle suggested that it would not be warranty repair (it is in fact, warranty). Absolutely unwilling to provide accommodation for a courtesy loaner. Too bad that we are in the market for a new Buick... definitely wont be looking here.
