I couldnt be happier with the service of this location. My iPhone had stopped charging. I went to the so-called apple genius bar at chestnut hill where I was told the charging port was too corrupted to function. They tried to sell me a new phone. When I asked for other options they told me to find a gofixit place that may or may not break my iPhone. I said that during these difficult times I simply could not buy another phone right now. They shrugged their shoulders and told me they were sorry but there was nothing I could do. I was really frustrated and upset figuring I would have to learn to go without a phone for a while. I went to this Verizon location to see what kind of deals I could get if I were to buy a new phone. The service rep looked at the phone and said, why not just buy a wireless charger? I said that I didnt realize iPhone 8s could use that technology. He said, Youre in luck. 8 is the first generation that IS wireless charger compatible. We tried it out and of course it worked. So, I ended up with a roughly $50 rather than $800 bill. Wow! Why didnt Apple tell me that my phone worked with a wireless charging station? Well, Ill let readers be the judge of that. I am so so grateful for the Verizon stores rep willingness to listen to what I really needed and problem solve with me. I am very likely to go to that store when my budget allows for the purchase of a new phone. I rarely have good things to say about telecom or data services, but in this case, Verizon really delivered. Thank you!

I was quoted a rebate and monthly plan for upgrading an iPhone. I paid for the phone left the store and everything seemed good. I then got a call the next day saying I was misquoted and would either have to pay for a new 5G service each month or return the phone. I asked to speak with a manager. The employee, Josh Queiroz told me that they didnt have managers. I then received a call from someone named Davis Donigan claiming to be the manager. He offered no solutions either.Do not trust this store. It was clearly a bait and switch.

Salesperson was un-transparent and objectively dishonest. They presented a monthly subscription cost as a one time payment, which they only corrected after I pushed them on it several times. They also said that I had to buy a new charger because the iPhone 8 changed its port since the iPhone 6. It hadnt. I came back later that day saying my old charger seemed to work just fine, and they said the old charger would damage my phone if I used it and only the new one would work. I bought it thinking I had no choice, but then it turned out the charger wasnt even an apple product.

I bought my phone through this store and had a pretty good experience overall.However, I had a bad experience when I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. I pay for monthly insurance, so I called them and told them about this. They told me I needed to come in and that they could help me.When I went in, they told me that they couldnt repair the phone, and that the deductible via my insurance policy was $250. Then they tried to upsell me to a new phone, which I declined. Finally, they gave me the info for the insurance to file a claim.When I went online to the Asurion website to file my claim, it turns out that there is only a $29 deductible to fix a cracked screen, and they come to my house to do it for free!1) The Verizon store should have given me this information over the phone, rather than making me come in to see them2) After they saw that my phone was still working fine and the cracks were very minor, they should immediately have told me that I could get it fixed by Asurion for $29. The fact that they told me the deductible was $250 was misleading and unethical. Its clear their goal was to try to make money on me by getting me to upgrade to a new phone from them.Thankfully, I didnt fall for it, and it took the very professional Asurion guy 15 minutes to put the new screen on my phone for $29.

The staff were both friendly and helpful.While seeking information about adding a second line to my Verizon plan I stopped by the Verizon corporate store in Chestnut Hill and Best Buy in Watertown.Verizon in Chestnut Hill was, is and always will be a nightmare to visit. The pandemic didnt improve them but rather exacerbated their already festering shopping experience.At Best Buy in Watertown, the wireless specialist that I usually work with was not in. I met with his substitute. A clueless waste of time.Fortunately I remembered the Verizon Authorized store on Needham St. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and willing to explain the ins and outs of a wireless plan to my elderly mother. Now, all she has to do is pick a phone so I can call Mike D. and get the ball moving.Life is easier when dealing with a person who knows what theyre talking about.

I wouldn’t recommend this location at all they try to sell you stuff you don’t need in order to accommodate them rather than customers. In particular steer away from Ramon he sold my 85 year old dad a hotspot posing it as a charger! That’s 170 dollars! Luckily I noticed and was able to return before 14 days!

I highly recommend staying away from this store, and finding a Verizon corporate store instead. I purchased a new iphone here in December, and left to set it up at home. When I reviewed my receipt, I noticed that I was charged a $45 set-up fee, despite setting my new phone up myself at home. I also noticed Verizon Protect had been added to my line for $17/mo without my permission. Luckily, Verizon (not Cellular Sales) quickly reimbursed the charge for Verizon Protect and removed it from my account after I let them know what happened.When I reached out to Cellular Sales to have the set-up fee reimbursed I was met with a complete lack of accountability. I was told that my sales rep, Marlen, had to be the person to reimburse me, and that he would get in touch. He never did. Then after multiple more calls, and being left on hold for an extended period time, store manager, Eddy, assured me that the reimbursement would be processed. That was in December. I never received the reimbursement. Ive called multiple times again since, and Eddy let me know that my reimbursement was never processed the first time he told me it would be, and continued to promise me he would get in touch with Marlen to get my refund sorted. I was told I would see the reimbursement in my account this week, and again it wasnt there. And for a second time I was told he and Marlen never processed it. It has been a continuous loop of promising a refund and then not actually doing it.If you are looking to be charged undisclosed fees, have services you didnt ask for added to your line, and to be repeatedly told you will receive a reimbursement that they keep forgetting to put through, this is the place for you.

This store comes across as a Verizon store. They are an authorized dealer to set up accounts but does not honor Verizon agreements. I had a cracked screen protector that had a lifetime warranty with Verizon. They do not honor that because its with Verizon not them. I understand that. Its the way I was addressed that I didnt appreciate. Just as the service rep was about to change the protector, I wanted to confirm the cost and he said it was about $45. I told him, no, no, it has a lifetime warranty for a smaller cost for replacement. He arrogantly said yes yes yes (like I didnt understand English) and pointed at his name tag that didnt say Verizon. So, I get they dont honor Verizon agreements but was really upset with the way he addressed it. If this is the way they run their business and treat their customers, i will never go back.

I typically do not leave reviews, especially if I’m not patronizing the store/ location.My father in-law purchased a smartphone from someone named Ramon, I believe the phone was an iPhone SE.For whatever reason, Ramon felt it was Okay to purchase a case (unless Verizon carries the same stock as Amazon, doubt it.) from Amazon and sell it to My father in-law upmarked to 40$I don’t see my father in-law often and I’m just now seeing this receipt. The case wasn’t on the receipt, but a 40$ setup charge additionally from the 45$ dollar setup fee they charge everyone just to get your phone up and running. After asking some questions, he told me how much he thought he paid for it, he luckily still had the box it came In with the SKU on there and were able to find the case for 5$ On Amazon.Unreal. I didn’t know it was Business practice to leverage Amazon in a Verizon sales environment.

Ozzy at Verizon in Newton on Needham Street was a superstar. My husband and I were having issues with our iPad and Ozzy resolved all issues. He spent endless hours making sure our devices were working correctly, syncing correctly, and downloading all our data from our phones onto our iPads. His patience, kindness, and understanding were above and beyond the call of duty! His intelligence in his field was beyond belief.Thank you for hiring such an patient salesman. Herocks. The day after we bought our devices we received a follow-up call from Ozzy. We were delighted to hear from him and he asked us how things were going and if we had any questions. And especially avoid Ramone, he said I couldnt return any of my accessories with the phone I wanted to return.. even though online it says 30 day return policy for any accessory returns!!

Our family was transferring four phones over from AT&T to Verizon. We had much difficulty as AT&T would not unlock 2 of our devices. Our sales associate, Cassius S. went well above and beyond the call of duty remaining at the store until 1 am to ensure that that we had phones in working order. So... I was so angry because I cracked my phone at work and I left work angry because I knew I would have to go to the store in the morning before work. I am currently sitting in the store and in front of my is three great guys who stayed open just go take care of my broken phone and upgrade me... Without hesitation and without an issue. I work retail and I know how it feels when someone comes in when we are closed but these guys were great! They worked all together to get me a new phone, case, screen protector, charger and more! I am so appreciative and so happy and this is why I will always choose Verizon. Mike was the greatest. Jake (from State Farm) and Joe were super helpful too! My experience here has been fabulous! I came in with my old phone that had gotten very hot. I was very concerned because I have a medically complicated, special needs child and must have phone service at all time. The diagnosis was made and I was informed by Mike that I had an upgrade available! He also explained a couple of device payment plan options that were helpful and made the process very easy! This is THE WORST AUTHORIZED VERIZON RETAILER YOU CAN DO BUSINESS WITH. This store is FULL OF FRAUDULENT SALES REPS. My credit card was charged WITHOUT PERMISSION, MONTHS AFTER MY ORIGINAL VISIT. The reps here work in multiple locations so once you buy something it can not be returned unless by the original rep (So they say). Added multiple lines to my account without permission. And then they give you the same answer Where all managers I was blatantly disrespected when I went back to the store and asked for a receipt that my card was just ILLEGALLY charged on and every single person refused because it wasnt their sale verizon should be ashamed to license you people their name, NEVER EVER AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THIS !!!

Terrible experience. Sales reps are not well trained. No manager available to provide better support. The store doesnt have the level of permission doing certain things that they have to call the call center. It is extremely unorganized... I was there 1 hour. Couldnt solve my problem that I have to leave.

When I got fed up with Sprint I went to this Newton Verizon location a couple months ago to switch over. Service was really great and staff was extremely knowledgeable and had great communication. In and out on a Saturday with a new phone for my daughter in about a 45 minutes! I received terrific service from Taylour who quickly showed us three phones in our budget and explained the pros and cons of each to us simply and clearly. Compared to the Verizon store in Chestnut Hill where waits can run 30-40 minutes on a busy weekend day, this shopping experience was a breeze! My daughter loved the open, spacious layout and getting the phone of her dreams. I loved the service and lack of any wait time. Speaking of service, I was even offered a cup of fresh coffee! And did I mention that a second salesperson, Aaron, jumped in to help transfer information from my daughters old to new phone, speeding up our shopping time. My one suggestion to improve the shopping experience would be to postprice information next to the phones on display. It was initially disconcerting to me to have to ask price information for any phone that interested me. In the end, this problem was overcome by the fact that Taylour approached to help us as soon as we entered the store, quickly pointed us towards several appropriate products, and the entire experience was the best and quickest Ive had in any cellular store.

I went to chesthill Verizon and the refused to help me with my phone issue but instead tried to force me to buy a new phone. My phone is only 8 months old.I came to this amazing Verizon store on Needham st and Manny was amazing. I walked in and he took the time to listen to my phone problems. I get confused as to what an official Verizon store is and what these other Verizon stores are.I dont think this is the official one. All I wanted was an inexpensive screen protector for my Moto Z. The options that they provided were a $45 protector and a liquid protector that could never be removed.It was a kind of a hard sell place.

I came into Verizon wanting to upgrade my phone. I didnt know how or what were the steps to do so, I was clueless. As I walked I was greeted very kindly by an employee. I believe his name was danny. I told him about my situation and that I had no idea on how to start. Danny was very patient and walked me through every little thing I needed to know. With his help, I got what I needed and am very satisfied with the outcome. I will of course recommend danny to my family and friends if they ever want to switch to Verizon.
