I was at the store on Sat night June 12 at around 730pm there werent very many people in line to pay around 4. We had to wait in line for quite a while cause there was anIssue with the cash register not opening. Should have called for another worker right away.Im only giving 3 stars cause the prices are good workers need some coaching on being polite.

Giant Tiger in Grande Prairie Alberta is a great store. It keeps carts wiped down and provides hand sanitizer and masks at the door. It had a great clothing selection as well as groceries. During this pandemic this is the only store I frequent. I am very pleased with Giant Tiger in Grande Prairie Alberta and highly recommended it.

Great price and staff

We go in constantly for cigarettes and various groceries. There is one teller that is approximately 5 feet tall, with shoulder length, blonde/white hair that is constantly rude and unprofessional.

The building is old but dont hold that against them. They are basically a nic nac store. You wont find much for brand names but they do have a bit of everthing, food to clothes to electronics. Its not a big inventory but what they do have will suprise you and its at a good price, so keep that in mind.If you have never bean in here before I suggest you stop by and check it out. The girls at the check out wiil always make you feel happy you stopped in

Cheap smokes, spuds and fresh veggies.

Clean, well stocked. Of the 5 staffers I saw, two had no masks on despite the sign in the entryway stating that all staff would. One had a face mask (happy to see that catching on, the data supports those as a mask alternative) and two others had masks. However, one of the masks was being worn with the nose exposed, reducing its effectiveness greatly.All in all, this is actually a HIGHER rate of compliance with COVID precautions by the staff than most of Grande Prairie seems to have. There were no signs that mentioned pin pad disinfecting, no signs on the floor to indicate six foot seperations etc.

Purchased 2 different make of Quuen sized bed sheets at $20 each. For one of them, the 4 piece embroidered sheet set, I doubt if it will last after a couple of washes. Other than that, it is a great place to do a quick stop shopping visit. Prices of items are very reasonable; staff are helpful and friendly. The front sliding doors are wheel chair accessible.

Their pricing practices are unethical. First they leave the lower price displayed on the product, but its priced higher at the till. How many people dont catch the discrepancy? Then they remove the price on the floor, while continuing to raise the price. Butter was priced at $3.89. At the till they were charging $3.98. The price today was way over $4.00 and there still was no price on the floor. This was done over a couple of months. How much more profit did they make from their unsuspecting innocent customers? You expect American companies to screw Canadian consumers, you dont expect Canadian companies to practice such unethical pricing scams. Never shopping there again.

Walked by two staff members chatting it up...swearing away while I stood there looking at them....they didnt care one bit that myself and others were shopping around them. Terrible service.

I would give 5 stars to the general floor staff/till workers and shopping at a discount price.I would give 0 stars to the morning manager that likes to make new hires feel like complete numbskulls. (AUG 7-2018)First day on the job, my son was told to buzz in at the front door,when he did so, he was asked, why didnt you follow that other person in, I guess common sense isnt so common. (doing what he was told, reminder!!! FIRST DAY!)Secondly! filled out new hire paper work, the comment was oh youre finally done. Thought Id have to read that to you.Under no circumstance or job is this an acceptable way to speak to anyone! What were you implying? illiteracy?There is probably a reason it is so hard to fill these positions within your company if this is how people are talked to at 6 am on their first day.It IS hard to find good employees, yes, but here is a prime example of why! a weee little bit of power and $0.15 over minimum wage and they think they own the company.GT, its time to take a long look at who you have training new hires and representing your company as a whole.I personally will not darken your door again.

The groceries aren’t priced, the lines are freakishly long at times, the customer service is awful and the expiration dates on the deli have expired months ago! Not to mention the fruit! Fruit flies everywhere! Oh and check the dates on the bread if you ever buy it. The dates are way off

Astonishingly Retarded & Foreign till staff, went to Execute a Simple straightforward Refund when on the Reverse side of my Receipt it SHOUTS As follows: CHEERFULLY guaranteed, Satisfaction guaranteed or your money cheerfully refunded with presentation of sales receipt - No Time Limit. Plus Absolutely none of my items were NON final Sale like tobacco, lottery, undergarments gift/prepaid cards. But was Still Denied a Refund by a African immigrant manning a Till. Said immigrant Spouted look at the date and claimed my items were parishables which they Weren’t. Going back and Getting my Refund Directly. And Telling management to better train these retards to get the policy on refunds straight. Worse store than Walmart where I hear you don’t even need a receipt for a Refund.Should be called Giant China cause absolutely everything is Super low Grade Chinese goods.

I would like to give Tiger all five star rating,dont d get me wrong, the store is tight, ( like a tiger )... And best prices in city for cigs as well. Im sorry to be the guy to have to call it as I see it, employ some cashiers, you cheap corporate mutha fers, Im going stop going there if you only have one till open every time and long line. Then the cashier has to walk 1/2 mile and back to grab smoked, meanwhile the other only register running is tied up with some elder with 100 ef_ing super 7 tickets,,( god bless the elders) its not their fualt there should be at least 4 cashiers on the go at all times or in store and can come quick.great store otherwise.
