Because moving is already hard enough and Penske made everything 100% easier. I cant share enough kind words about the staff and service received at that the North Bergen Penske Rental.My girlfriend and I were already stressed about moving during a pandemic and after receiving terrible service over the phone from other truck rental services when just trying to inquire the vehicle availability, North Bergen Penske made this as painless as possible.Over the phone they were helpful in identifying what vehicle option best suited our move from a one bedroom apartment. They set aside a High-Roof Cargo Van, which had plenty of room for the furniture pieces we were looking to move. The things we moved included a couch, dressers, desk, kitchen table, chairs, mattress, bed frame, and many moving boxes.When arriving to the location, social distancing measures had been set in place. We spoke with the service desk over the phone while our rental options and providing the needed information through their glass window. While it felt silly, it was appreciated that they where responsibly working to not only protect us as customers, but the employees as well.While this was taking place, a team worked to prepare the Van having it ready for our use. We were kept updated on each step of the preparations including preforming vehicle inspections, replacing an existing cracked mirror, and cleaning and disinfecting the van.Upon returning the vehicle, there were some hiccups a few days later when the charge we received. We spoke over the phone with Reilly who was very understanding of our issue quickly working to help identify the problem and having it resolved for us.I cant say that we require truck rental very often, but it goes without saying I will be a life time customer with Penske and specifically the North Bergen location. Highly recommend!

The box truck I rented drove nicely and was very clean when I picked it up. The staff were all excellent and friendly. I would rent from them again!

Not good at all, took a long time for them to ask if I need any help . And their computer was down because it wasnt even plugged up to any power outlet. Would not want to go there again in the future .

Completely disappointed in the service here. Came to pickup my leased Freightliner after PM service. First thing, truck wouldnt start and had to be jumped. I asked about the batteries and was told that they would have checked them during PM. Obviously not. Other items listed that needed repairs were apparently just ignored.Second, my sleeper cab truck was absolutely trashed inside. Grease all over everything. Two throw rugs in the sleeper were completely ruined and had to be thrown away. When brought to the attention of the manager on duty he could care less.Myself and my co-driver have had this truck for two years and over 460,000 miles and have had PMs and service done at locations all over the US. Never have I had such a lack of concern for how my truck was serviced

Friendly staff that comes with a great selection of inventory. Most trucks and vans have ramps or lift gates. Route 1 South at the base of Route 3 and Route 495 junction to the Lincoln Tunnel and on the way to the George Washington Bridge.

Penske is the BIG DOGS, of the truck rental Industry I have been with Penske now for about 4 months and within that time they have impressed me so much Im going to buy this same Coronado from them, its a 2016 that had 400 thousand on it and it is in top notch condition and the service I get from there telephone road providers and there shops is UNBEATABLE. I will state this for the record. If you try them once you would look NO further.

1st of all I would like to inform you guys guys I am a Long Island Penske customer but for some strange reason I always get top notch service whenever I come to North Bergen Penske including today when I showed up at 3:45 a.m. To fix DEF problem that I just had a week ago I my truck was at the Long Island Penske for over one week So what I am trying to say is that today was my 4th time coming to North Bergen Penske I came in with a problem my truck was fixed and I left with a solution as a customer I dont think thats too much to ask for but for some strange reason customers are more motivated to leave a negative review than they are to leave a positive review so im showing a special effort to acknowledge 2 people at North Bergen Penske one is the manager Brian the other is the service tech Adam who took care of me (5 stars top notch service) Adam fixed my truck and 3 hours even though LI Icouldnt fix it in 1 week

Rental classic. Book the van and face to not available. Why did I book the van one week before visiting one of your agent. More careful. Ask me to go other place and suggest me to use uber! Paid 30 usd more and more miles and waste of my time.!

I bought a truck from this location and it has been a nightmare. i traveled from maryland to this location twice and got the runaround. i have wasted thousands of dollars and time with broken promises and blatant lie after lie. if you take any thing here for service or if you buy anything from here please make sure the work was actually done!!!!!! very dishonest people because no company will fail time after time..... beware!!!!

Crooks!! Crooks! Fraudsters! Do not deserve even 1 star. Be careful and make sure 1000 times every detail of your rental order before sign anything! They going to add an extra day out of nowhere, extra fuel $8 per gallon even if you return it filled up, some incredible taxes and fees. Spent couple weeks over the phone to get a refund. Overall, better avoid this place. Find someone else to rent from.

Been waiting past an hour for a truck I made reservations the day prior. Every time I ask for an eta I am been given another excuse. While new customers are walking in and out. I reserved for a 26ft 5 have left the premise while I wait for mine. Wouldn’t recommend this location at all. Dishonest business, doesn’t deserve my hard earned money.

Good service and affordable rental fee

Rented a 26 truck, called multiple times when I made the reservation (to ensure pickup location and time) and requested to pick up at their supposed Hackensack location. Got their at 7am to pickup but Hackensack didnt open till 8, when they did open they let me know that Penske in North Bergen (where I made the reservation at) does this all the time. They book your reservation at Hackensack but then when you get their you realize you have to drive to North Bergen to actually pick it up. The guy at Penske North Bergen, seemed unfazed at my experience and took a so what approach to me expressing my dismay at having wasted a few hours. After driving to North Bergen and waiting at the counter I heard a customer near me complaining about a leaky truck. Little do I know I end up receiving the leaky truck on a rainy moving day. Not cool Penske, not cool. Wont be renting from you again

I ordered a flatbed truck on Sunday they guaranteed it would be ready at 7 AM Monday it was not ready it cost me three hours wait time for two workers and also a crew waiting to load up they are not very responsible and they did not keep their promise I would not use them again

I bought a used vehicle from Penske they brought the truck to this location to prep it and have it sold to me I payed a large amount of money for this truck all in full when I picked up the truck it had a engine light on I told them about it they scheduled me to bring it in for repairs a whole week later.for a whole week I had to wait just for an appointment now that they currently have the truck I have to wait another 7days just for them to order the part its been going on for 2 weeks now Im stuck renting out a truck wasting money while mines is in the shop due to Penske mistakes and incompetence they wont reimburse me on anything they dont even have the curtosy to give me a rental While they take theyre sweet time fixing my truckFor a small part Never have I experienced such disrespect from a large company to add insult toInjury they also gave me the truck on a empty tank of fuel I asked if they could at least supply a quarter tank so I can make it to a gas station when I bought it they denied me I used to always think Penske was one of the best when it comes down to truck rental and sales my views on them have changed drastically they violated the lemon law and when I call to speak with any higher ups of authority they deny me that also penske hands down has to be one of the worst places for truck rental andLeasing the mechanics at this shop seemed like they had no experience they wouldnt even let me do a walk around of the truck when I bought it probably because the engine light was on

One of the worst truck rental ever. The truck had came in late, they threw my things in as they were grabage after I had told them if they can please put the things in more carefully. I had moved out of state and my things were about a week delay and they said “1-3” days only. But not only that my things are still missing and half of it is broken and they were wet! I had called and they said to make an appointment and that I have to sign paperwork and as I go in to the office the lady I was speaking to has the nerve to the call the cops on me for walking into the office without making an appointment mind you I was on the phone trying to make an appointment but she was just so rude. She even had told the cops I was banging on the door and when the cops asked to see the camera she didn’t even know what to tell them because it was all a lie. My first and last time with this company it was literally a disappointment. Especially of that one employee she had no manners at all.
