I’ve never had to rent a storage and was in a bit of a rush as I was having work done in my apartment. Everything went fast and smooth....I was in and out before my lunch break was done. Eileen was amazing, informative and super sweet. Definitely would recommend this facility.

Any personal interactions I had with on-site staff were fine and professional. Expect your rent to go up shortly after you move in, this is very common for storage places, no exception here. They do just about as little as they can do to maintain the facility, but my main problem is the entrance GATE IS BROKEN often, very often. I have never gone during off hours but I strongly doubt they post a guard when the gate is broken and open to whoever wonders by. This is really the only security between the general public and your locker, so it is a problem to not make it a priority. The gate code is *xxxx# so there is a high probability you can guess a working code easily (like a birthday), and get it, not that you need to since the gate is broken so often. Cameras and carts seem few and far between. They have a low wattage light-bulb in the dark elevator in building 2, just another sign to do as little as possible. Before I left to go shopping I was quoted $233 for a 10x10, I got the same size space for $160 a couple of miles south, I think it will go up to $180 in 6 months but I am still saving over $600 a year. You can do better, go shopping.

Weve been storing things here for the past 5 years. Pleasant experience with staff and storage unit. Only a handful of times have we had a problem with the gate (less than 3) and overall a great experience renting here. Would definitely recommend.

I rented one of the storage and they gave a price. After the 1st month they start charging me more that that, everytime that I call they say I have to eait for the manager and he was never there according to them! Also the elevator get damaged and they did not care of that at last for two or more weeks so everytime that you went there you need to use the stairs to alocate your item in your storage so you need to carry them!!! There are better storages around and cheapest that this one!!! The costumer service here stinks!!!

The Customer service from the North Bergen Location (Nicholas and Valerie) were amazing! They both stayed with me past closing hours to make sure my unit was set up and if I might need another before they left.

The rent for the unit changes every year. Started paying $90 a month went up to $130 in just less than two years. They claim to be climate controlled but it is not in the summer it’s extremely hot and in the winter it’s cold as ever. Place is never clean and you’ll find people’s belonging in the hallways and even in elevators. You always have to call in order to obtain a cart for transport of things from and to your storage unit. Got a THREE week notice of Termination of lease without prior notice or warning without explanation although the payments were made in advanced. Garbage customer service as they claim they didn’t know why the notice was sent. Termination of lease literally for no reason. Never late on a payment and just terminated the lease without reason. No explanation. No reason.

Renting a unit for more than a year now. I live in Hoboken and this storage conveniently located just outside of the city and has reasonable pricing.No rats.Dust is very minimal, I have a few items that I havent touched for over a year and there are barely any dust on them.Elevator always worked.They have multiple carts per building. Sometimes all of them are in use. But I had this problem only once over the last year.

They go up on price every year start at $480 when I left I was paying 570$ people budget an to keep raising the price they do it coz they no we really need the space an most times it to much hassle to move to another storage spot. Won’t recommend if u need long term storage the people are great the price jump is not so great

I remember storing my belongings with NJ Self Storage years ago, when it was still under the moniker Mini U Storage and I must say the new staff is much more professional and the facility has improved alot over the years. Jorge, along with the rest of the staff are extremely courteous, polite, and most important of all helpful. There were a couple of times Ive experienced issues upon entering my access code to either enter or exit, but overall the facility is always kept safe and clean. This storage facility is by far the best in the NY/NJ area. Even though I have rented here before, I was given the royal treatment when inquiring about a second unit. I was greeted politely by the manager Angela and her associate Jorge, I was shown multiple units by the Manager herself. She was patient, polite and friendly which you dont see much now a days. The buildings and units were clean, well lit, with security cameras and the indoor units are noticeably climate controlled. I reminded myself this is why I continue to do business here. Great job!

This is the most friendliest and helpful storage unit I experienced for my first time. I want to thank Jorge, one of the workers there who greeted me and helped me chose the best unit I needed for all my belongings. I explained to him my situation being that it was my first time bringing my personal things to a storage unit and he showed me all the different units I can chose from so thanks to him I was able to pick the best one that could hold all my belongings perfectly. Bad Experience at this place back in 2015. I am writing this review because I am currently looking for a storage place and I saw this place again. I would give them 0 stars but the computer wont let me.I had multiple items damage while in storage. They didnt do anything but to send me a letter saying they will not cover the damage. may be they have a different staff working but back in 2015 Horrible!

I was working on a renovation and needed to store some office equipment and decided to rent a 5x5 unit here. The process was easy, a young guy Philipe assisted in exactly what I was looking for, he was courteous and friendly. The place is secure and well maintained. So far, I am very happy with this business.

Constant smell of cigarettes in the facility. There also is a curb at the entrance, so you cant use a flatbed to load or unload from your car. We are planning to move to a better storage as soon as we can.

My experience with this facility was a very warm and easy experience. I rented a space from Jorge Cano. I remember coming in to inquire about the space and the level of experience I reviewed was very very impressive. I expressed how I was shopping for a storage in the area and every place I went was so very expensive and I only had a few things to store.He asked what I was storing and showed me to option with the promotion of 1 free month. Very detailed and thorough I immediately selected unit 1632. Even when moving out he was so very personal and professional with the move out...... Thank you very much for making a painful situation very easy Jorge.

My Original Review: They accidentally put a lock on my unit and locked me out... 1 out of every 3 times I go, there are NO carts. And sometimes I cant even see anyone else using them, they must be in other buildings, or someone left them somewhere. And they keep raising their rates... not worth the $.After I wrote this first review, they reached out to me and the Regional Mgr addressed all of my concerns. Im changing my rating to 3 stars now, in hopes that they will resolve the cart situation and also put in place a system to double check that units with up to date payments dont accidentally get locked out. Depending on whether or not I see a change, I will update my rating.
