So impressed with Gerber Collision! They communicated well, went above and beyond in fixing our van, and everything was done in the time they said it would be. I appreciated being filled in with knowing what was going on, and that they noticed a couple little things and fixed those as well. And then they washed the car! What a treat! I hope I won’t be needing to use them again anytime soon, but if so we will be coming here for sure.
Gerber took my car in after geico sent me. Was supposed to be two weeks but it kept getting pushed back due to parts being delayed. Then they said it would be an extra 2-3 weeks due to labor shortage but I explained my insurance wouldn’t cover the rental that long so they gave me priority and really helped out.I would give a higher rating but my car sat there for a month and they had to jump it to start when I went to pick up. Even after running the car for an hour the first day and twice the second day, my battery was t reading any charge according to AAA. I still had to jump it 4 times. Gerber called geico but since the battery was three years old (with no issues before I took it in) and it wasn’t in an area affected by where the accident took place, I had to foot the bill for a new battery. After 3-4 delays (a month) waiting for my car it seems sitting there for so long due to labor and shipping shortages, which we’re out of my control, took a serious impact on the battery and I didn’t get a working car back.Think about this. They had to jump start it before returning it to me. They didn’t run it at any time during the MONTH they had it when parts for repair were only $800. This is a penalty for the labor shortage. My battery worked fine before. Gerber helped me out with fixing it in time but it still came with an extra part to replace on my own after being released to me.
I am very happy with the work that was done on my car. The only problem I had was that the interior of my vehicle was so dusty and dirty from the work they performed. I thought the shop would have a detailer to vacuum and wipe down the mess that was made during repairs.
Had a repair done from an accident a few months back, found out today when trading my truck in that JH screwed me. There was a bunch of unsanded/unpainted bondo behind the front quarterpanel, and both door panels that had been replaced had ripples in the metal underneath the door handles that went down the length of the doors. Neither of these things I caught when inspecting my truck after the repair. Cost me several thousand dollars. Lesson learned, I now know what to look for to make sure its done right. Shoddy work. Untrustworthy. If you want a repair done right, take your vehicle somewhere else.
I had a excellent experience with John Harris. They were very responsive, polite, efficient, the work was done fast, and my car looks brand new! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have car repairs done.
Just know that unless you want your car half fixed then don’t take it here, they will tell you dead in your face that your cars ok, with the check engine light on.. when they just fixed it. And that’s about all your gonna get. It isn’t professional at all, don’t recommend taking your bicycle here
From the initial contact through pick-up I had a great experience. The office staff was professional and knowledgeable. The folks who were involved in fixing the car did a great job. I am very grateful to them for making my car look as good as new!

Customer service was amazing! Mysti and Jerry were great to work with...but the front bumper job was not completed at 100% the first time. So I had to take it back for 2 more days of service until they got it right. They did a great job, the second time. The were able to drive my car to my house when it was finished, which I greatly appreciated.

Got my car repaired here after someone rear ended me. From the moment I walked in everyone was super friendly and helpful. It did take 2 weeks for the repair, but they are working with limited staff due to covid, so I want bothered by it. Will definitely recommend to anyone that needs damage repairs and body work done on their vehicle.

2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited - John Harris Body Shop in North Charleston was outstanding from beginning to end!Over the years Ive had a lot of bodywork done by many different shops...some great, some OK, some terrible. Im a perfectionist and VERY hard to please. John Harris has truly built a better, more modern system that results in quality that is virtually indistinguishable from new. Their paint booths are state of the art for a factory finish. The text communications and updates are awesome so you know the progress of your repair. They worked directly with Progressive and handled EVERYTHING. I wont go any where else in Charleston.

I had body work done there a little over a year ago because it was one of Geicos shops to use. It took quite a bit longer that originally expected, and when I first went to get it I noticed that the panel they worked on wasnt quite aligned correctly. They apologized and took it back and made it right.What I liked the most was the fact that they kept me informed of the delays. I didnt have to hunt them down for answers. I was paying for the rental because the insurance company of the other driver (who was declared at fault) made it go to arbitration. John Harris Body Shop was cognizant of this and was respectful about how they handled the time-frame and covered the delays properly.I would go here again, but hope I dont have to. It would be nice if they had a place in Mount Pleasant but since the car rental place is right there onsite that wasnt too much of a factor.

Shop looks GREAT in the photographs! Clean, neat and tidy but front desk staff and workmanship left A LOT to be desired. Suffice it to say, said vehicle would be ready for pick up on a Wednesday, so I took the day off of work to be sure to be available. Near closing I had not heard from them so called, they never answered so day off of work was a waste. The job lingered and lingered from missing trim parts to lack of attention to detail when it came to cleaning up residue from peeling protective wrap off new parts. After 2 weeks of in shop, I picked it up with missing trim parts as I needed the vehicle back. The low rating on this place is 100% accurate, if you go there after reading them, it is your own fault. Funny thing is that I was going to let this bad experience go until a moment ago I received an unsolicited email within it stating You dont have to be in an accident to seek our expert auto advice Put it on the spam list and blocked them.

Geico repair process was smooth, but quality of work and finish was disappointing. The shop left glue all over; left some scuffs and scratches from accident, and paint/body work was sloppy. Only option was spend another day at shop.
Took over 3 months to make repair my vehicle and was told it was because they kept putting smaller fixes in front of mine so they could make a quick $500, rather than have my vehicle on their lift taking up space. Picked up my car for the first time and it was left dirty and repairs still not done correctly. Headlights were pointed in different directions and dim for some reason. Had to take it back and they fixed it over a few days. Took my vehicle on a road trip and upon getting back to Charleston, I found no radiator fluid in my vehicle and that it spewed all over under my hood because they didnt properly connect a hose. To this day, I am still finding issues with their repairs. Glue from the tape they put on my car that I had to remove myself. Spray from them painting the front of my vehicle is on my front wheels.Im not sure if there are better body shops in the area, but I would definitely give them a shot over John Harris on Azalea Rd. Getting in a wreck is a tough thing to go through and adding a terrible body shop to the mix is like putting salt on the wound.

Poor quality job. I could see white polish through a black paint on my car. Also, I had new scratches while my car was at John Harris for repairs. They repainted and removed most of scratches that were made at John Harris, but some of them are still on my car.
