Sugar Fixe provided macarons, mini fruit tartlets, and mini cupcakes for my bridal shower a few weeks ago. Not only were they able to do this for me with only a couple week turnaround time, but they did a truly incredible job with everything! They were organized, communicative, and timely in delivering each item. Each baked good was delicious, but I think my favorites were the fruit tartlets! They were such a refreshing pop of color and flavor, and a unique addition to my dessert table.They were able to create a tower of macarons in pink ombre with gold splatter for me, which was just incredible! They had such great flavors too: vanilla, raspberry, and lychee rose.The mini cupcakes were red velvet and vanilla, and both were a total hit with my guests.In addition to everything tasting incredible, each staff member that I spoke to were so kind and treated me in such a special way. I cannot express how appreciated it was. I cannot wait to utilize Sugar Fixe again for gorgeous and delicious desserts for future events!

My family got me a birthday cake from here, and it was the best cake I’ve ever had. Their buttercream frosting is amazing, and the cake wasn’t overly sweet. Just perfect. My new go to place for cake, thank you Sugar Fixe!

My daughter is only 4 years old and she wanted to place her own order at the counter as she is a young woman in training and she said the woman is they had any frosted pastries and she literally screamed at my daughter We dont have pasties, this isnt that kind of establishment. Now I dont know what type of training she had or where she was raised but that isnt how you speak to someone who is not even old enough to sit in anything other than a high chair. I filed a complaint with the chamber of commerce and I recommended that they have their business license revoked.

Had the best experience at @sugarfixe. I was in no mood to bake a dessert to bring to Easter this year and saw they had more of these blackberry, lime cheesecakes left. I called immediately to put one on hold. When arriving, the line was so long and I did not want to wait in it to pay for the cheesecake. I called again and asked to pay over the phone. The amazing woman on the phone was so kind and took my payment over the phone and then offered to bring my cheesecake out to my car. It was quick and easy and such a great experience. I love supporting a small business with excellent customer service!

It was a pleasure working with Corrie! She was very responsive. She made a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding! She also worked vey well with our florist (Westgate). I would highly recommend her! She was kind, professional and patient! Our wedding cake was perfect!

Plain croissants, almond croissants, and cream puffs were all delicious!!Croissants lacked size considering how expensive they are (EDIT: I would like to note that I realize this is around standard pricing around the Chicagoland area, but the croissants were quite small; cream puffs were of good size). Chocolate croissants were pretty good, nothing spectacular. Customer service left something to be desired, but I try not to judge (maybe I misread body language and tone).

This place is amazing. You want a wedding cake that will make memories for your guests and probably will have its own hash tags because its tres chic and beautiful? Sugar Fixe has that. Want a light snack that will make your sophisticated self go oo-lala? They have that. Want good coffee? You guess it.

We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from Sugar Fixe and got so many compliments on how delicious everything was. Would definitely recommend!

I have ordered 3 cakes from them. For my daughters 1st 3rd and 4rth birthday and they never fail me. They have done a wonderful job with all three cakes and all three cakes have been beautiful and delicious. Also we stop by all the time for macaroons and cakepops because theyre amazing. I will keep buying my daughters cakes from here for all her future birthdays.

What more can you ask for? Decent coffee, great ham and gouda croissants, excellent quiches, and friendly staff. Im not much of a sweets person, but I pick up their macaroons for gifts all the time and they are always a hit.I would give them five stars, but their service is not deserving most days.

I am so disappointed right now. This place has so many good reviews. This was my first purchase and I was waiting to add a good review. I ordered a small cake, I thought. Theres more icing than cake. The actual cake has the texture and taste of dry cornbread. The filling is only in the middle of the cake and NOT spread across the layers. The jelly is the only tasty part of the cake. Adding ice cream wont even help. That cake was a fail. I should have known it wasnt good when I couldnt smell the cake when she opened it. Gave one star for customer service.***UPDATE: I wasnt expecting anything to happen but the company reached out to me!!! They apologized and actually refunded my purchase. THANKS FOR FIXING THIS! ***UPDATE***

We ordered a two layer wedding cake from the patisserie for our local wedding. I provided designs and Sugar Fixe definitely delivered! Our chocolate cake was perfectly moist and delicious. We also ordered carrots cake mini cupcakes and they were a hit. Highly recommend!

This bakery/coffee shop had amazing staff who were friendly and helpful. They also have delicious pastries (mostly along the lines of French pastries) and La Colombe coffee. I highly recommend their tastiness!

We ordered a two layer cake for our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary. The cake was very very hard, dry and dense. The taste was horrible, by the end of the night we tossed the entire cake in the garbage. Our guest complained about the cake, no one enjoyed it. I really had high hopes that I ordered from the right place this was so disappointing. The price seen to be expensive $300 bucks, but I normally dont care about pricing if Im satisfied with the service/product. I reached out to the bakery to let them know my cake was horrible and the only thing they said was going forward we will add instruction on how to manage our cakes. Apparently there was special instruction prior to serving. I was not aware of these instruction at all. Not to mention I paid for this order almost a month in advance and we emailed frequently back and forth prior to my event. Thanks for letting me down and ruining our big celebration.

Sugar Fixe has reinvented itself several times over during the coronavirus era, and each time Ive been so impressed by their thoughtfulness in creating a good customer experience. Their macarons are just delightful, and their specialty holiday menus have some items that make for special breakfasts or desserts.

Has to be the cutest shop in Oak Park! Tastiest too!

Great place for the pastries and baked goods, and the coffee was SPOT on also!!! There will be another cup! The staff were the some of THE friendliest and interested of all staff Ive found in the US. Right beside Oak train station is handy too and it seems to be close to other mains eateries....... yay!!

Ordered cake pops, macaroons and a cinnamon roll.I feel it was but over priced and they forgot to put 1 of the macaroons I purchased in my bag but I didnt notice until I got home. My kids ate the cakepops without complaint although i feel they couldve been decorated nicer. The macaroons were okay but the cinnamon roll was dry and a little hard .

The citrus dome and Swiss rolls were both delicious!

My favorite go-to quick bite here is their croissant. Cold brews are a must-try! Staffs are welcoming and have smile on their faces despite busyness.

The coffee is really good. The pastries and cakes are tasty, but there are some hits and misses, like the fruit tarts which are hard to eat because the shells ar too hard. In my opinion, the pastries and cakes and not really worth the money but since they are not ridiculously expensive, feel free to try them for yourselves. Nice spot to have a coffee in downtown Oak Park, that’s for sure.

We came across Sugar Fixe by chance. I knew exactly what I wanted for our wedding cake. A bite of summer. After a few email exchanges with Bria, we set up a tasting. After already having 2 previous tastings at other bakeries, I found the perfect bite at Sugar Fixe. Bria was absolutely wonderful to work with taking in all our ideas and input to create the perfect cake. The day of wedding, our cake was everything we wanted. Presentation, taste was on point.Thank you Bria and the Sugar Fixe team!

Love love love this place. I lived in Chicago, but I frequented this place often usually before my nail appointment or while I’m in the area grabbing books. My favorite things to get are the macaroons (duh 🤪) & the turkey Gouda croissant. I’m not a big fan of coffee do I can’t comment on their drinks, however if they ever get natural fruit juice or smoothies I’ll be happy to try. It’s a decent sized shop with a bit of sitting room, it’d be nice to browse on your laptop here.

I ordered a cake for my birthday and they didn’t process the order. When I went to pick it up they did not have it ready. They offered a refund and decided to make me the cake anyways. Within a few hours I came back and when I got home it was not cake but a cookie texture cake ? I was disappointed to say the least.

It is a small and nice pâtisserie. We ordered three different desserts with coffee. I thought it was a little bit pricey ($30 for 3 coffees and 3 cafes) but it was good.One of the things that I might recommend to the owner is having background music at the place, It will add to the overall atmosphere.

So happy Sugar Fixé is open again. It was fantastic today and the service is always spot on.

If you are in a diet - beware! This isn’t for you, go eat a carrot.Now for the rest of the world, this is a tiny peace of heaven in oak park. Their cakes are loaded with flavor and substance. If I had enough cash and calories, I would be here every day. I love the quality, richness and variety they offer. This is a good break from the usual ‘sugar with color’ desserts you get in most places.

I go here from time to time for a treat, and like the broad variety of delicious options. The staff is friendly and the baked goods are fresh (at least in my experience). I wish there were more savory or not-so-sweet options (despite the name of the shop), and that they were offered through the day and not just as morning items.One other thing: the chairs are *cold* metal. It would sure be nice if they had a thin cushion (easily available from household furnishings stores). Something like that would add a little coziness to the space, which I think would be a big improvement.Also, using a microwave to warm up pastries, croissants, and small breads makes them chewy. Starbucks has an oven behind the counter which warms foods quickly without significantly changing the texture. Worth looking into.

Does any one know the prices?

The baked goods are always dry. The crusts used on their tarts feel like the texture of ground up saltine crackers and taste like it as well. The beverages are just packet mixes being sold as in store made beverages with a hefty profit margin added to it, so its not even worth the cost, and on top of that the workers at this bakery seem miserable to be there. If you want to impress your friends and family with good baked items then I will advise to please visit other bakeries instead of this one.

Im always happy with my drinks and sweets purchased here. If they offer to warm up your pastry, you should listen to them! I got my daughters second birthday cake here and it was delicious! There was a little bit of confusion regarding the cost and I was given different numbers from different people, but it was eventually sorted out and the party was a huge success! Employees are very nice, as well!

Delicious! This place was definitely a highlight of mine when I lived in the neighborhood. Ive tried quite a few items from their bakery and am rarely disappointed. The cream puffs made with real cream inside and their macarons are some of my personal favorites.

I love Sugar Fixe and think its a great addition to the Oak Park community. Today I thought Id treat myself so I went there early and ordered a croissant and latte. I havent been there in awhile. The latte was great but the croissant was doughy and salty and cost $3.75. They used to be much better.I dont know whats out there but you should find a better provider as far as your dough. I used to work in a bakery in NYC for Sarabeths Kitchen. When she stopped making her own from scratch she found a fabulous provider, baked them in the store and the quality was great. This was years ago and things have changed but you need to know whats going on. As I was leaving a man stopped me and said,the croissants arent as good as they used to be, are they? Dont let this happen to you, we need fabulous places to eat.

I have visited the cafe while I am studying in US. It was delicious, clean, and not expensive. Also, there is a one problem, the bakery is too small.

We had Sugar Fixe make the cupcakes and wedding cake for our wedding. They had a flourless ganache cake that was perfect for my small wedding cake and we received nothing but wonderful feedback on the cupcakes. The staff at Sugar Fixe are wonderful to work with and we appreciated their delicious contribution to our big day.

Fantastic coffee and pastries. The Brioche cinnamon buns and croissants are out of the world. The latter in particular is perfect.The macaroons are good but a little over priced.

Ive ordered maccaroon towers for parties and cakes for weddings with Sugar Fixe. The shop offers decorated cookies for holidays and occasions, too. I highly recommend the Miel. My girlfriend and I were in Oak Park to see the Frank Lloyd Wright homes and we stumbled upon this place while killing time thanks to Urbanspoon. What a place, everything I had from the pastry cabinet was excellent and the coffee was amazing

The macarons are delicious, perfect texture and sweetness, especially the lemon. I am a bit disappointed that the recipe for the Dulce de Leche Salted Chocolate Bars was recently changed but I am of fan of this little patisserie for sure.
