Conveniently located with a know knowledge able staff of mechanics. Reasonable rates for repair service on German vehicles (BMW-MB). NO True parking lot. So park on side streets.

James has been servicing my 2000 BMW Z3 since I purchased this car from the dealer in 2001. I trust him working on my German car because he was a trained mechanic for Mercedes Benz dealership prior having his own business. Besides being a good mechanic, he always provide a thorough inspection. He is honest and always provide me with a fair estimate. He is always willing to go extra miles for his customers. I have been taking my benz (e350 4matic) to James since purchased in 2015. Like other reviews, I too, trust him. He is fair, honest, very through and does great work! Its time for the maintenance B service, have appt scheduled in couple weeks.Will update results afterwards.Im sure will be the usual 5+star service.

My brother first discovered James Auto Repair many years ago and referred this shop to me because he was always pleased with the quality of the repairs, the reasonable prices and the owners honesty. I am so glad Ive been taking my older model SL to James for the past 12 years. I have had no problems with any repairs or maintenance, and would heartily recommend James Auto Repair. James is fair, honest and thorough in his work. Unfortunately, the massive fire in Emeryville this morning (7/7/16) that burned down a housing and commercial project also burned down his shop. Im not sure how long he will be out of service, but please consider patronizing this fine repair shop when they reopen.

James was a “ Master Auto Repair Technician” at a local Mercedes Benz dealership. He worked on my car at the dealership. When I discovered he had a shop of his own and he could perform service on my car without invalidating the factory warranty I rushed to his shop. He has been nothing short of outstanding! He has saved me thousands dollars over the dealership and delivered everything promised. I have to admit the location and first appearance of the shop gave me second thoughts but the service spoke for it self. He washed my car upon return and my E350 has never been better!Thank you James
