My daughter went there (14) to get some braiding hair, to get her hair done at a nearby shop . I’m trying to foster independence for her to do things by herself, she was unsure of what kind of hair to get so she was looking around a lot.A man approached her very rudely and scared her and was basically accused her of stealing!!!! She was so shaken she called me crying ! I hate this place !! If you are going to sell to our community you need to have a better sense of customer service!! If you hate us that much get out of this particular business!! NEVER GO HERE !!!

Overpriced! Wigs do not have the name on them, because they don’t want you to know the name, afraid you will go online and find it cheaper. The woman is fake, and so is the man. I walked around for awhile, and left the store. I don’t mind spending my money on nice hair, but you better come with the good customer service. Go to Glamour Beauty Supply on 40th and Telegraph, and ask for Sandra. Better prices, and better service. Put these folks on Grand Avenue Out of Business!!!!!!!

The owner said hello when I walked in and came to help me with finding the wig I wanted. I didnt feel followed . The wig is nice and affordable.

Thanks for the warning guys. It hurt my feelings to read some of these reviews hearing about how people have been treated. A while back I was also treated this way. I was gonna give it another chance but these reviews saved me from that mistake!Also, I think this business is a COVERUP for something else. Something maybe too wrong to talk about. I spoke with a girl whose family did business with the beauty supply owner and she said he was shady a bit. She didnt go into details, but from the look in her face, I could tell she maybe knew something that I didnt.

I love this place! Hands down great service everytime. Knowledgeable staff and a wide array of awesome products for all hair types. Ill be honest and let you know some average products are $1-$3 higher than other stores in Oakland. However, if you consider the neighborhood and the fact you can safely pull out your wallet to make your purchase its definitely worth it. The store is well lit and easy to spot from the street too:)

I was so glad to find a beauty supply open after 8 pm on a Friday. I only wish the had a bigger selection. Parking wasnt great either

Very well stocked including off items for beuty carw that i cannot find. The gentleman was very helpful,easy going and knowledgeable. A year ago i went for something to clear redness and the young lady gave me some thing that cleared the problem immediately. I have referred several people. Good shop.

Nice place to buy wigs owners are very helpful

They dont allow you to try on wigs. Most stores allow you to buy a cap and try on the samples but these people wont even let you touch the samples. Ridiculous. Dont sell wigs then.

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. Horrible customer service. The lady sold me the wrong jewelry, its suppose to be earring jewelry and it was a lip peiricing. I called back an hour later to let them know and the man that works here picked up the phone and told me to call back in an hour because shes on her lunch break, he also hung up in my face multiple times when I tried to ask him a question. Dont waste your money here!

Please dont go there the Asian gentelman is rude and racist. I walked into store he blocked me and said we dont have cheap stuff. I was on my work dress and I am a senior project manager for medical device company so .... my skin color was not pleasant to him.I dont want follow up with his violation with city of Oakland business ethics however I cant stop to not express myself here .

Customer service was very tense and unfriendly. I was aslo followed around the store but didnt ask if I needed assistance.

The prices are too high. I went to buy a pack of braiding hair and it almost cost me $5 for one pack and I usually pay 2 for $5 the most is $6 for two.

The customer service isnt the friendliest but prices are decent and many selections.

I was very disappointed that this place did not carry a couple of items popular brand names. I made the trip because of the area and I will never go back. It was wasted trip.
