One person working at the pharmacy. Have had two prescriptions sent here in 2 weeks and both times I’ve had to come back because they weren’t ready. Been waiting for 40 minutes now and still have not been seen. Do yourself a favor and do not come here for prescription drugs. You’ll save time going to a pharmacy at a further location.

Nice store. Clean, friendly staff, good selection of items. Best pharmacy Ive been to in California; no/short wait times, excellent staff, and good communication regarding when Rx will be ready and how much it will cost.

Friendly but incompetent pharmacy staff couldnt process my paperwork for a flu shot and concluded my insurance has my DOB wrong in their system. I wasted about 40 minutes here while they called my insurance, asked me again for my DOB, and called insurance again. I finally just paid $40 for it and said Id deal with insurance later.I called insurance when I got home. They verified they have my correct DOB and after 20 minutes on the phone with them, with a hold for them to call the pharmacy, they conclude the pharmacy had my DOB wrong.Other aspects of paperwork from Rite Aid, like my address, are wrong. They also had initially put my last name as my middle name, which I didnt even write on the form but was on my insurance card.If they cant get basic info correct, do you trust them with your prescriptions?

I love this Rite Aid. Super friendly checkers, Pharmacists are friendly and fast as well. Ive never had any of the problems the other reviewers describe. Security is always up front at the door. Ive been going here for 20 years and love it. Heck I was there once when it was held up at gun point, and Im still coming back. Thats when they got the security.

This pharmacy appears to charge hundreds of dollars more than other pharmacies per prescription. I called my insurance to find out why and they had no answer. Additionally, if you have your prescription sent here, they won’t transfer it out elsewhere. It seems like some kind of scam they have running. They need to be investigated. But I don’t have time for causes like this. Just stay away. There’s a reason there’s never a line in their pharmacy.

Waited on hold indefinitely. Would give 0 if I could. How am I supposed to get my prescriptions transferred? And how is this place still in busines..

Pharmacy staff does not answer the phone. They pickup and put you on hold indefinitely. Same experience as all of the reviews listed here.

Both the checkout and pharmacy staff are consistently understaffed—long lines with a single person to take customers. Extremely annoying. The worst part is, its been this way since I was a kid more than a decade ago, despite a major remodel to the physical facility a few years ago. Makes you seriously question the competence of the higher-ups at rite-aid if they cant even hire adequate staff to take customers in a timely manner at this frequently busy store.

I agree with other review comment about the the make-up section..ALOT of space dedicated to it! Is make-up REALLY your top seller. Is it REALLY in that much demand? Its ALWAYS so hot inside, no air & stuffy. Any season! I speed through my shopping because of it which makes me forget items I need! Grrrr. I am slightly disabled & getting around can be challenging. It seems ALL the housewares, cold or frozen foods, cleaning, supplies, snacks, beer& wine & seasonal are WAAAAAY in the back. Who does your marketing??? Front clerks always friendly. However, Ive had some problems with one, I frequently load $ on my ADP PAYROLL cvs, green dot, it wouldnt work 1st swipe, he handed me receipt, no explanation etc I said Ive loaded here before, he said we dont take that card, I insisted he try again & grudgingly he did!! Surprise, it worked. Staff, if u dont know the answer, ASK a supervisor dont just NO or MAYBE or I DONT KNOW. I MISS LONGS DRUG STORES!

The shelves in this Rite Aid are no longer covered in glue, so there is no reason to avoid touching them anymore. Twelve people have not passed away in the aisles of this rite aid. Harold no longer lives in the basement!!!

I came in to Rite Aid today and was shocked to see the store had been completely redone. New floor, shelves, and even a thriftys ice cream stand. Its the only place in Montclair that serves ice cream. Definitely going to take advantage of that.

The new ice cream counter is cute and the pharmacy line isnt bad. Too much space wasted on the makeup section.

Love this Rite Aid. Professionsl, friendly & helpful staff. Nicely laid out floor plan; well labeled. The have everything: Thrifty ice cream, yougurt, Passport photo taking, Western Union, GNC health products, $1 shelf with various offerings, garden section, auto section, cell tele section, liquor section and more.

Security was hella wierd and creepy

Get all my rx done there. Rarely an issue. Occasionally they will forget to call me if there is a problem with a prescription but, on the whole, they are nice and efficient.

Worst place ever. Incompetent pharmacy staff. A complete mess. Avoid at all costs. I cannot express enough how badly it needs shut down and the pharmacy staff all needs retraining. Avoid avoid avoid.

Big store, large selection but not many variants on each product.

This pharmacy has terrible customer service. There are always long lines to pick up medications and usually just one clerk to ring them up, Frustrating!

Gave my friend a crusty coin also thought me a my friends were gonna steal even tho we were just walking around like normal ppl
