The Good Hop has way more than just good hops. Good people and good doggos are very much in surplus here. Their best offerings, business wise, is their wall of fridges filled with beers you may have a lot of difficulty finding. I moved from SoCal and am finding beers I wouldnt have thought Id find. If youre there and you wanna try an Horchata beer. Try the Or Xata by the Breury.

Hands down the best bottle shop in the East Bay. Amazing selection of craft beers at great prices and friendly staff. I only sat in the tap room a couple times before covid but it was a great neighborhood vibe.

This spot is fantastic. Great beer selection on their website, as theyve got a good variety from breweries all around the bay...and they can do really good mixed packs too. Employees are fantastic. Regulars are good people. Also during non-covid times theyre a very relaxing and comfortable bar. Kickass place overall.

A good selection of beer on tap but also a wide variety available to buy in bottle form. The only negative I have is the music was loud and not to my liking but that has no bearing on enjoying beer.

My favorite craft beer spot in the Bay Area, hands down. Awesome bottle selection in the back fridges and diverse tap list. Knowledgeable and attentive staff, and only a dollar corkage fee if you want to enjoy your bottle at the bar. The decor is a bit Applebees-esque, but the clientele are always well behaved beer nerds that are there for the brew. Friendly ambience.

Amazing beer selection at solid for a bar (pick any can for $5-6 with a $1 opening fee to drink there). Best deal is the bottles and cans, so go for that rather than whats on tap. You can mix n match, so make your own four or six pack and youll be happy you did but that ends up being a bit pricy for beer to go. Great spot that hasnt become too fancy like city beer store in SF.

Wow...we love the Good Hop!!!Melissa the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable on her tap list. Also they have the best beer cooler in the Oakland area for sure! And they will open anything in the cooler for like a buck! Dog friendly and people too!

Pretty much my favorite bottle shop in the area. They always have a phenomenal selection. The frequently changing tap list often gets me in trouble because I will want to have a pint while Im shopping. Great service, reasonable prices!

Great small little place to grab a beer to enjoy either there or at home. They have around 18 taps and hundreds of bottles to choose from. You can drink the bottles there or grab some to bring home. They have TVs with sports on if youre looking for a place to watch the game. Dog friendly as well. Great location right near Telegraph and Grand Ave.

Finding gems like this is the reason I love living and working in Oakland. The Good Hop has a huge selection of carefully curated beers from large scale and independent brewers alike. If youre ever trying to find that one limited beer, this is the place to come. The best part is they also have their own selection of beers on draught AND you can buy one of the beers in the case and have them pour it right away. Staff are incredibly friendly and enjoyable and this has become one of my staple stops when picking up beer for the weekend.

Great little spot for all things beer. What looks to me like a high-tech way to get drunk (theres a high-def screen near the register that gives all the needed detail: name, type, origin, % of alcohol, how much is left in the keg(!!)), there is also a GREAT selection of bottle beers you can either drink there for a small fee, or take with you. Neat spot in Oakland that a coworker took us to. They have a few fridges of craft canned beer. You can buy to take out or drink in the bar. They also gave several craft kegs with live keg volume remaining.

A good selection of beers on tap and in bottles. They have games on TV to watch. Seating can get tough on trivia night or weekends. They close at 10pm on weeknights so not the best place to hang out for a long evening.

There is a large selection, and good set of beers on tap. The bathroom is clean, but the whole space is way too crowded, especially with the huge bar stools. The servers are pretty friendly and attentive.

By far this is my favorite beer spot to visit whenever I am in Oakland. The bartenders are great, and their selection of bottled and draft beer is outstanding. They also sell bottles of Underberg which I like to occassionally have with my beer.
