Made an appointment for the alignment about 10 days ago....Ms. Criselda was there, very polite and professional, she checked the tires and told me to wait and it could take a while because short of staff.. totally understood...She called about 2 hours later and the car was ready. Made an appt at this place for 7:30AM!! When I get to the shop they change the whole story up and half an hour later they decide to tell me “oh we actually can’t change these tires into the ones you wanted, it’s against our policy” what a joke this place is and the employees as well. Trash company and staff
Trying to get an appointment at this place is an absolute nightmare. Whoever designed their scheduling system is a maniac. They will be booked full up and still say they have open spots on their website and make you wait a whole day to send you an email that they could not confirm your appointment, and then claim that you already have an appointment booked when you try to reschedule it. Get your business straight for god sake this is not hard it is 2021.

I don’t normally write reviews but I took my car in to get two tires replaced (seems like they did a good enough job, and quickly). I’m woman and was told that all kinds of things were wrong with my car and needed to be fixed/replaced—some of them, I had just replaced a few months ago! The “extra stuff” was downplayed as a good deal. It’s disappointing and frustrating to be treated this way and I won’t be coming back
Poor management, new girl didnt have the experience or know what was going on, and they were short on mechanics. They told me to get new shocks and struts plus new tires all because I had a bump in my tire. My shocks and struts are fine I just needed new tires. I came in for an oil change that took the whole day. If you want long wait times, a crooked manager who will try and overprice you, and mechanics who dont even know what theyre doing then this place is great for you.
The website says it’s open but it’s not. We just went there and it’s all closed up. I’ll change my review if I get service here, but just and FYI that the website is incorrect.

I had my suv towed to this Firestone after getting two flat tiers. Alex was extremely helpful and had my car back to me in great condition just a few hours later, I am visiting from out of town so that was very helpful. Excellent customer service!!
I scheduled an appointment for brakes and right off the bat they wanted to charge me for a vehicle inspection. We all know brake jobs can be hundreds of dollars, so the inspection is typically included. But they hit me with the upsell real quick. On top of that, a Karen was at the counter complaining about something and she was being helped first, even though my appointment was an hour earlier (I know that’s kind of a Karen thing to complain about, but still).Also, they left me hanging in the busy street and made no effort to make space for my vehicle and another that was blocking the road. Save your money, go elsewhere.
This place is terrific. They are super busy and still manage to be curious and helpful. The manager was patient with my questions and they went out of their way to get the work done.
This shop is a no-frills experience and, while you can tell they are running on a skeleton crew, you get what you want at a good price.

I need an oil change and also was informed I needed new brakes. I went to eat while they did all the work and the car was ready after I got back 2 hours later. Everything runs great. The person that helped me did a great job and called me to give me an update and also called again once it was all done.
These guys are the best. Been coming here for years. Theyre honest, good at what they do and work quick. They under-promise and over-deliver, which is the best way to conduct business. They are busy, so dont come in looking to get your car serviced quickly. Make an appointment and plan to leave your car for the day. You can expect good service for a fair price.

Worst experience ever. The woman who claims to be the manager is incompetent and mean. First she told me the wrong day for my appointment. Then when I get a new appointment and get there she tries to double charge me for installation and then refuses to mount my tires and tells me to take my tires and get out.

Service was delivered as promised and within the promised time. I would avoid trusting the Firestone website which is something the mechanics and clerk have no control over. It’s not well-synced with their computers (Firestone corporate’s fault) so if you book online it may or may not work and you should call in person to verify everything. That said there’s only guy working the front so you might have to call a few times. The mechanic (a female, awesome!) did a great job replacing and aligning my tires. Everyone was kind and courteous.
Some of the people who work here are great, but a couple of the workers are apathetic/overworked. It took 1.5 hrs for a simple tire change even with an appointment.
Id Like to give Firestone an A+. This is the second time Ive gone to this Firestone and I have to say, this team of professionals are just outstanding. They are fast, efficient and SUPER professional. They take the time to explain everything to you and they well accommodate your schedule in any way they need too. Stanley, John and Alex are awesome. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone.

Ive been getting my car serviced here for a few years (after the closure of Oaklands two Wheel Works locations). Here lately service has been poor! Multiple visits to remedy an issue that has yet to be resolved. Theyre ALWAYS under staffed, having to keep your vehicle all day for something as simple as an oil change, even with an appointment!!John could definitely benefit from a customer service refresher course; hes always so sour and wants nothing to do with anything that will result in him having to move from behind his desk!!
They are hard to deal with but they do a decent job on tires, brakes, oil changes and other routine maintenance. They diagnosed and fixed my brakes issue (air in the line) that another mechanic could not fix after 2 visits. CONS: cant do anything at all without an appointment, not even flat tire; need to find street parking when you drop off the car and 1 time I got a ticket which they paid afterwards; expect 15 minutes wait to drop off or pick up the car; service advisors are argumentative and not customer friendly. I only keep coming back because I have lifetime alignment warranty and Firestone brand tires and oil change is cheap here.

Management has very poor communication skills. Left my car for what was suppose to be 1 day turn around. Mechanic takes apart exhaust to replace driveshaft, but cant complete the job until manager returns after 5 days. Manager did not contact me or leave any notation or update for mechanic or myself and was not responsive to phone calls, so we just had to wait for his return. And they were expecting me to pay $1,200 for the service. Mechanics agreed it was unprofessional and apologized. No thanks, lets not continue! Waist of my time!
I used the website yesterday at noon to set up a same day appointment for 4pm to get some new tires. I got my confirmation for yesterday’s appointment this morning at 6am! I figured this was just an automated glitch until I spoke to the rep. I called them this morning to figure out what was going on. First call I was disconnected after it ringing a couple times. Second time they actually picked up but told me they were busy atm and I could either call back or leave my phone number. I got a call in the next ten minutes which was nice but after telling them what happened they said that the appointment requests aren’t fully automated and have to be approved by an employee. So someone actually approved an appointment 12+ hours in the past instead of calling me to reschedule. I was then told that they are booked solid and are the busiest locations in the bay. I attempted to schedule something for after work but was told that it would take a min 3hrs to get the tires changed due to them being so busy. I’ve had tires changed plenty of times and it takes about an hour or two at most.I gave up on this location and called the next one in Albany. They picked up right away and booked me for the same day. They were even able to get 2 out of stock tires delivered same day before my appointment and when I asked how long it would take they said an hour and a half. Night and day difference.

I had my car serviced at this Oakland location in late December 2017. I had brake work performed, transmission service and an oil change. (They told me they could not complete the transmission service when I picked it up). The following day I noticed my vehicle was smoking and leaking large amounts of oil. I brought my vehicle back to this location and was told the oil filter gasket was not properly installed. They performed another oil change and apologized and said my next oil change was at no cost. The next. day I drove the vehicle to work. when I arrived, I noticed another large pool of oil under my car. I took the vehicle to another Firestone location. They inspected my vehicle and said it was the residual oil from the original leak dripping down. They showed me the mess. The oil covered the entire under carriage and my rims. I contacted the corporate office to report this problem. I was told a manager would contact me. I was not contacted.
I have an appointment at 8:00 am for an alignment and they said I have to reschedule due to a priority over me. I will leave my car and pick it up before they close and they cant do it? What is a confirmed appointment for? Terrible service and a waste of time. It does not deserve to have a star. Dont go to this place!
Got two new tires and had a headlight out so asked them to do that too. Big mistake. Tires were pretty good value and service was OK (took longer than estimated but whatever). However, headlight cost was $13.99 plus tax and service to change the headlight was $48.00 plus tax, so the total for ONE HEADLIGHT replacement was about $70!!! I guess I learned my lesson to do it myself or get a friend to do it for about $3 instead of $70.

Scheduled an appointment three days in advance (at their discretion) for early morning (9:00am). Was assured the tire/alignment check would be done by 2:00pm. Called at 2:00pm to verify that the car would be ready, was told to come at 3:45pm and the car would be ready. Came down at 4:30pm to pick up the car and it had not been moved or serviced.I would advise that a company not accept appointments they cannot service, give unrealistic estimates, and/or require my car to be out of service through a complete workday (delivery vehicle) with no work done.Previous work from them was good, surprised they dropped the ball, again and again, throughout the day.

I have a credit card through Firestone and I have purchased my tires here in all my services when I drop my vehicle off at this location they lifted it incorrectly and damaged my car consequently totaling it this also happen to an employee that was working there and then they didnt admit any faults or were respectful they are always overcrowded and they dont care about people please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where your car will be taken care of and not wrecked and totaled
Who knew that the lil old company from Akron, Ohio would become what they are now. Ive been using Firestone since 2008; tires/tune ups/ manufacturers maintenance to keep my jalopy running. From Brooklyn, NY to Fort Bragg, NC to Hollywood, CA and now to the Bay. Whats cool is that my vehicles history from coast to coast is all in their shared system. Customer service at this spot has been great. No complaints about wait time. I wish they could of gotten some better real estate and took over some old auto dealership on Broadway. Why CVS got to have all that space up the street???

Came here for convenience (got a flat tire and happened to be nearby). I dont know if its like this everyday, but theyre either very understaffed or have trouble with overbooking. I saw a lot of scheduled customers coming in wondering why it was taking so long to do minor fixes. They still got the job done (eventually), but I guess if you go here you can plan on waiting for a long time.

Told me I had the wrong size tires and they all needed to be replaced. I took my car back to where I bought the tires (America’s Tires) and they showed me exactly what I had, the charts and recommendations for my car and confirmed fire stone was lying. Then Firestone told me I needed an $80 synthetic oil change because the basic oil change was unsafe for my car. My car is worth $5,000, I’ve never had a synthetic oil change in my life. Sad to see a brand name like this stoop to yet another dishonest auto shop. Will never go back.

This location is busy and staffs are busy, but they take their time to explain what is going on with your vehicle. So, try to understand and it is better to know more about your vehicle and wait a little more than rush out and not know what is coming next! If you rush then you will be back with not knowing why!

I made my appointment 2 days in advance for 10am I brought the car early cause I had to go to work it was checked in by 9 30 the guy told me it should be done by 3 30 I called to check of it was done they said not yet give them 45 more minutes then I get a call at 4 30 that they couldnt service my car at all and I could come pick it up. I wouldnt recommend them to anybody they are very unprofessional and inconsiderate of customers time.

I made a appointment several days in advance to change brake pads, my appointment was for 8:30am, I arrive at firestone and am told I can leave the car that they will get to it when they get to it. I ask when they think it will be completed, I was told maybe between 1-2pm, with a appointment it still takes all day to complete maybe a hour long job.Awful customer service, Firestone management didn’t respect the appointment time and then acted like it was my fault that they couldn’t get to my car at the time they made the appointment for.I wouldn’t recommend anyone using this location.

They were polite, but they didnt honor my appointment. I waited, in person, for five and a half hours for them to give my truck a test drive and put it up on the rack for a simple inspection.Although we found the problem, they were unable to give me an estimate or even advise me as to how it should get fixed. I cant think of a greater waste of my day.I would possibly recommend them for tires, but for complete autocare? No way.The problem? They accepted too many customers and promised them service they had no time to perform. All day long, while waiting in a chair, I overheard them apologizing over and over to everyone that brought their car in. Its hard to imagine receiving thorough, thoughtful service from someone who is under pressure to hustle people out the door.

Arrived early, waited in line behind just one person for over 45 minutes just to check in. Even though I had an appointment, they didnt have my tires in stock. Then, they had trouble billing my account, even though I have used it just fine at other locations. All told I was here for almost 5 hours, and I didnt even get what I came for.
Set up appointment, and they didnt have the tiers ready... told me they dont have an appointment for me and Im not in the system, but he had all my info when it was my first time coming in... so no, you guys sound like scams.

Got oil changed along with other service done. Wouldnt recommend going here.The subsequent oil change (different shop) lmk the last place (aka Firestone in Oakland), stripped the bottom plug and put sealant in to hold. They ended having to rethread it costing a lot more money.These guys are not forthcoming and felt like they were only looking to charge money on whatever they could.

Today was unbelievably sh*tty at this location. I have had bad experiences at Firestone locations and Wheel Works locations (owned by Firestone), but decided to give them another try...I had an 11am appointment and it took over three hours to complete an alignment. Then it took over three hours to swap one tire that needed replacing. The tire was in stock... I dont understand.I drive for Uber, so unfortunately I am to some degree at the mercy of the these big corporate tires shops because I wanted a lifetime alignment and need the flexibility offered by an organization with several locations. Bummed. Super bummed.I guess thats how these big companies get away with consistently sh*tty service.

I needed a new tire unfortunately I needed to get a new rim as well (not the shops fault) but after another day of searching for one I had it and brought the car back then when i was supposed to finally pick up my car after being unable to drive for any distance greater than to the shop and back, I got a call saying that the tire they set aside for me was defective and that they had no more.
The team were friendly and professional if somewhat too busy. The only detractor was that communication wasnt great so when we showed up at 4:50 to pick up our car (they close at 5) it wasnt ready until ~5:30. Bummer!
