Every once in a while Ive found that rare merchant/craftsman who so far exceeds my expectations that I rave about him to anyone who will listen.I went into Rex Custom Cabinets with a small job--remaking a single kitchen cabinet drawer. Knowing that no one else wants to take on these no-profit tasks, Rex agreed to do the work for me, at a more than reasonable price, and in record time. Rex Custom Cabinets is a great find for anyone needing cabinets of any size--take a tour of the work room and youll see cabinets and drawers 18 feet high--not just due to their outstanding work, but for who they are and how they treat their customers: like neighbors, like friends, like real human beings.

We initially thought we would go with some ikea cabinets however, after mulling over differ configurations, we decided that the best option was to go with a custom build and Im really glad that we did. Rick came to the house and measured out our kitchen. We spoke about different options and what we ultimately wanted to do. We had a pretty complex remodel as we planned to move the stove/oven and needed something that would allow us to maximize the storage in the space given that we live on bayfarm in alameda space is always so limited. We were really happy about the suggestions that Rick gave and the quality of the material that was used. Everything was really wood and the finish was very durable. Rex custom cabinets made the cabinets for our home in 2001. The cabinets are beautiful and have stood up well in a house with kids and chaos. One of the hinges on one of the cabinets broke so I took the door in to purchase a new hinge. Rick had to search for parts seeing as how the hinge was 20 years old. He found the needed parts and repaired the door and then refused to allow me to pay for his time or the part. This is the kind of care and service that you almost never see any more. I will recommend Rick at Rex cabinets at the highest level of satisfaction possible.

I needed some help on a small project. Rick took time out to help me, did a wonderful job and was most gracious about it. I was extremely impressed by his customer service.
