If you want to buy eye glasses online, they charge $25 to measure pupillary distance. They’re only giving you part of the eye prescription. Glasses are pretty expensive there. Also ordered the wrong contacts for me.

Really nice experience. Felt taken care of and safe during COVID. The staff was lovely and attentive and the optometrist really explained what was going on with my eyes and I’m not sure I’ve had that experience before. They helped me find frames in my price range graciously and knocked a bunch off my eye exam from their listed prices.

This is the second pair of lenses I have purchased from Iris Eye Center. I am very pleased with the lenses they provided. ( I only got lenses from them and used an eyeglass frame that I already had.) Their lenses are very high quality, reasonable price, and excellent customer service. Dealing with the owner, Surinder, and with Kevin and the others there has been a pleasure. I was not happy with the eye glass prescriptions I had been getting from my health provider so I decided to meet with the eye doctor at Iris Eye Center. The lady I worked with, Dr. Schultz, gave me a much more thorough and better exam than I was getting from the other place. She was able to identify a mis-alignment problem and correct it with this new prescription. No one had ever identified that before. I highly recommend Iris Eye Center. Although I did not get my eye glass frames there, they have a very wide selection to choose from.

I was running late and was do glad they could still see me. I always love coming here even to just visit, everyone is so nice, friendly, and professional as well as honest and knowledgeable! I cant wait to pick up my new glasses. I also got a pair of really fun and funky prescription sun glasses.

Great service from everyone! They helped me find the best frames for my budget and gave me a fantastic deal so that I could get the best pair of glasses possible with my vision plan. Im not always very good at picking the best fitting frames, so I really appreciated the guidance I received from the friendly staff.

The staff at Iris Eye Center is so kind and made my whole visit feel personalized! They never made me feel rushed, gave me opinions on glasses and helped me pick them out, and spent adequate time with me talking through everything and doing a thorough exam. Highly recommend going here for your care. Prices were a bit expensive but honestly worth it for the quality of service.

Personalized and professional. I have not purchased glasses in many years. The last pair I had were ok. After speaking to Surinder and his team, I learned why I had a hard time while wearing them.I now have some very cool glasses that I feel good wearing and can see well with. I highly recommend them and their staff!Please note - it is Oakland, and parking can be tough. Good news is there are so many cute shops and places to see, so when you do go, spend some time walking around!

I had to contact my insurance company (VSP) on several occasions to make sure things were done properly. Apparently, they did not understand the process for people who need Medically Necessary contact lenses. Also, if you require a more comprehensive eye exam I wouldnt suggest going here because they do not have advanced exam equipment like other offices I have visited. However, I may return just for glasses because they do have a unique selection of frames.

Very commercial place. They assumed that I was going order lenses and glasses and were making a hard sell. Also I felt even lenscrafters does a better job at testing. These folks seemed like only in the business of writing prescriptions!

Iris Optometric Center is great! The entire staff welcomed me like a member of their family. Everyone worked well together and efficiently. I found some great glasses answer will be returning later this month for contacts. Parking on Piedmont is annoying, but of course, thats to be expected. I would highly recommend them.

The staff and doctors are a friendly and professional team. After a thorough exam I chose my frames and a week later had a new pair of glasses. My first pair of bifocals, I had trouble adjusting to wearing them, and returned to the store. The doctor made a couple of simple changes to the frame and they fit better. Improved my vision and no extra charge! I gladly recommend Iris Optometric.

Highly Recommend!My first time getting spectacles.... EEEEEK!But Kevin was so cool and so was the optometrist, I wish I remembered her name (short hair, asian gal, with glasses, she went to Cal). Anyways, I let the know I was in Law School and the doc gave great advice, 20/20/20, ask her about it when you go. Also Kevin was super helpful with not only picking out my glasses but knowing exactly how my insurance works, but the best part was, they gave me an awesome deal!Starving law student and Kevin called his manager and was able to give me an amazing deal!How I lived without glasses, that is beyond me, but I will say, Iris Eye Center, thaaaaaank Youuuu!

Inconsistent office support, info is withheld unless you ask for it, pricing is riddled with mistakes and worst of all they have a by-default 1 year expiry on prescriptions. By law this must be no less than 2 unless theres a clear medical reason. Theres no reason since 1 year is printed on their Rx. Stay clear from this office.
