Be careful purchasing eggs here. I had tiny black worms in a few of the eggs I cracked(which I thoroughly investigated to be sure I wasn’t crazy) and when I reached out to the company to kindly inform them of such issue they asked If use dirty dishes. Not sure if they’re in the business of using dirty dishes but I’m surely not & it was kind of insulting. Instead of looking into it it’s a pointing the finger game, but I should’ve known by the low refrigerator temperatures at the store

It’s generally a pretty decent experience the few times I’ve been. I treat this as one of my specialty catering stores for their various bulk and low cost items.

This store very fast n convenient. I found what I needed to make food in big batch. Most of time the parking is always pack. But the store has big open spaces.

They had hand cleaner at the door, distance separation was good, checked not long at all. They should have hand cleaner at the exit door

Due to covid-19 I believe they form a line after it hits 8pm. I believe they still close at 11pm, at least thats what one worker told me.Moreover, the store needs a bit of restocking in small areas, such as rice and cup of noodles. As well as, the nesquik and other such small items. Other than that, I like shopping here.

Well I always did like Smart & Final & Glad their Open early & Open late @ night, I wont complain about the Service Im just Glad the Neighborhood has a grocery store so the Residents can what they need.

IT looks kind of not too clean, plus there is not enough space to navigate with scooter for the desable PEOPLE.

Small but it has a good lot of stuff - the bigger Smart & Final Extras are better but far away. Big parking lot, reasonably easy to get to. Smart & Final carries useful stuff at good prices; this one is a good example of the chain. Competent, friendly clerks, clean. Has a bathroom.

Smart & Final, Hayward, CAWonderful experience. Theyre store is clean and extremely well stocked with supplies and carts. Pleasant, courteous & professional cashiers, clerks & workers. Even though I live in Oakland, I come to the Hayward store. Mainly because the Oakland store is dirty, few carts, and very poorly stocked. The clerks/cashiers are sometimes unprofessional and not very courteous. I even experienced a cashier arguing with what appeared to be the manager-very unprofessional. Overall I Love Smart & Final, Just not the Oakland, CA store. Have a great day.

Surprisingly decent groceries in the middle of East Oakland. Fresh and organic produce, good selection of grocery items, beer and wine. This is not Whole Foods, but way better than the corner liquor store. Clean and organized with good prices and selection.

This is probably the cheapest place for shelf-stable groceries, as well as mid-sized bulk packaged items for larger families. Lots of last minute necessities for small restaurants in a pinch. Produce isnt the best, but weekly meat specials are fantastic, and theyre always adding new items in the frozen prepared foods sections. Look out for that dangerous candy isle though, your sweet tooth might get you into trouble! Soft drinks, juices and dairy selections are prevalent for common household needs and priced right. Lines can get a little ridiculous, so feel free to ask an employee to open another register. Staff is super polite, efficient and accommodating, even being a training location. Management is on their game and aim to please. Liquor selection has all the basics. Beer and wine offerings are mostly your run of the mill domestics in 12-pks and cases, along with boxed wine and cheap single bottles of other wines and champagnes. Great for weekly shopping on a budget or a last minute brunch or BBQ supply run, but dont expect to be wowed by their variety. Clearance area in the back can surprise you with some really great deals! You can spend half the money here and get the same items you need compared to other larger grocers. Would be 5 stars if their produce wasnt so dismal, hand shopping baskets are very rarely stocked up front, long lines, and aisles can sometimes be really frustrating to navigate with palettes of product not being stocked in a timely manner.

I am a doordash driver, it takes 30/40 minutes for the order to be ready, and they are rude to the couriers, very bad place, to pick up deliveries.

If you need a lot of cheap, bulk, generic food, this is your store. Nothing fancy, but if you are buying for a large household it might save you a lot of money. Dont look for name brands here. But you could cater an entire party here for a bargain price. Quality isnt bad, but this is not the place to go Id youre looking for grass fed beef or organics.

The rain had the parking lot flooded! Thank goodness theres a fella that helps you to your car for tips had put down wood for us to walk to and from the store. He doesnt get paid by the store for this and the store didnt come up with the idea either. The store should give him a nice tip because I would have not gone into the store. He saved them some business today! Plus employees called in and they were short staffed. Otherwise I usually have a good experience.

Staff was friendly. Establishment was very dumpy and didnt feel well organized. I had no idea there was a back portion to the store until I walked around the whole thing looking for hot sauce, which I finally found! The parking lot was also awkwardly positioned. And, of course, there area homeless all over. The clientele was mixed otherwise and the place overall seemed harmless

Wow. Thats totally amazing! I pulled into the parking lot in the most Bodacious Shopper with no special plates or tags pulled into the handicapped parking spot. Once inside as I was checking out the Shopper in front of me had a cart full of about 50 items in the 10 or less item Isle. When I pointed it out to her she looked at me blankly and kept on unloading or card onto the register belt

I went to get some white peaches and they were soft old looking and a lot of nats were flying around the fruit not at all Appetizing.

Shopped here today and I found everything I needed plus more. There was available parking and shopping carts. I really appreciate the friendliness of the cashier and I’ll shop here from now on.

Parking is close-in and almost always available. My principal reason for high rating is friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. I have shopped here for 20 years and cannot remember any visit when staff were not helpful. Neighborhood is predominantly Latino, some staff non-English ghspeaking. but always helpful.

Larger produce selection than other S&Fs. Adequate parking but the lot can feel a bit sketchy. Shop here regularly bcz the prices are great esp. if you waych the ads.

I visited the store at on international and had a poor experience with the workers.While getting a wash product I witnessed a senior lady almost trip on some boxes a worker left in the aisle.I called it to a worker attention and he said talk to the manager which I had previously done but she had brought out the change drawer so I assumed she could address the problem.Both workers seem to ignore me but I persisted I spite of the complacency.i became very upset with the general don’t care attitude especially since there wasn’t many customers in the store.A worker stated this was not Eastmont Mall and implied that the behavior I exhibited was = to that environment and that was offensive to me because I am a tax paying property owner who is a landlord.A retired nurse who provided good customer service most of the time even with irate patrons.The other black girl stated I was disrespectful and only defended her co-worker behavior but seem to ignore how derogatory and racist it was on the young black girl part.Seem like self hatred to me.The real manager helped by simply stating I will take care of it.i apologize for my irate behavior because 2 wrongs don’t make a right but it remains poor customer service.The cashier commented on something about the company that didn’t fit the situations but he was being smart mouth.i worry about an atmosphere that allows this type of service.

Today i was shopping caned food at around 7:45 in the evening when a black security guard approach me and tell me that the manager say that for new policy y have to leave mi backpack on the entrance.There was no other bag where the guard place my backpak.Then i went back to shoping and i noticed that there was plenty of people with backpacks.This is profiling and i will never go back to this store.I tell to the guard that i understand he only follow orders, but that was profiling.But since i am a lite skin hispanic, they will not consider this discrimination.Or may be yes.I have it in video.

Good prices, but sometimes the line gets pretty long before they open a third register. Its usually really busy from 3-4pm be prepared to spend a good 7-15 minutes in line.
