Tried to fix my front brakes and failed. Called, brought the bike in and had it fixed 30 minutes later. Amazing service.
This shop is wonderful. Owner is fair and has always tried to show me exactly what hes doing, especially if its something simple, so I can do it myself in the future. Tyler is everyones motorcycle dad.
Good Service.Good Prices.Easy and fast.Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏
I have been to this shop for different issues; ordered a set of new tires for my ninja 300, oil change and doing my own upgrades ran into a few things i needed an advice on and Tyler has been there. I was riding my bike and suddenly my clutch cable gave up on me so I decided to have Tyler look into it and found out the cable was broken for some odd reason. Unfortunately he didn’t have the replacement part in stock but recommended to check with a dealership to see if they may have it available, luckily it was in stock so I bought it came back to the shop and Tyler had it done and ready in no time.I would highly recommend
Hes the best motorcycle mechanic in the bay. And not only does he fix/repair your bike! He also show you and allow you to learn and repair you bike as well !
This guy has hella knowledge and knows what hes talking about when it comes to motorcycles. Highly recommend seeing him for your UJM needs!
Owner helped me change my 6 inch wheel tire machine doesnt go that low on wheel size but still gave it a try and boom did it no problem !! Highly recommend this shop will be coming here more often !
Tyler replaced my inner tube and balanced my wheel. Great job!
I didn’t catch the name but the older gentleman who owns this shop was extremely helpful and honest. He was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of tips on how to run my bike better. Not to mention that his rate was actually really afforable. I would come back for sure!
Ive never written a review before, but Tyler absolutely deserves 5 stars. He really encourages you to work on your own bike and is a great source of knowledge. When hes worked on my bike the service has been excellent.
Friendly and knowledgeable service as well as always tending to extra details. Good business.
Tire replacement top notch and fast. I was back on the road within an hour
Honest and experienced mechanic, with great prices and fast service. Specializes in late model japanese but does tires and maintenance for pretty much anything, although he doesnt work on certain types of bikes so youll have to check first. If you ask around youll find out that a lot of riders around here go to him, cannot recommend enough.
This place is great, work done is quality.
Honest down to earth garage... that is a rare find. Highly recommend
Don’t even think about bike repair anywhere else!!! Tyler and his crew are personable, professional, well-priced, and will take care of you. Finding them was a goldmine.
They changed my tires and adjusted my chain. Did a great job, only took a few hours and on top of everything they were very polite and cool guys.
Great service, quick and knowledgeable. Good prices.
My bike had an unfortunate event with the chain breaking out of nowhere and he really took care of me better than I expected. The only shop I would ever take my bike to.
The best.
Ill give the owner 5 stars for been very knowledgeable and honest about motorcycle issues. Seems like they are very selective on the type of bike and the kind of work they do. Call first is a must. He is fast on doing tires but im not sure if they accept tires delivery from your online purchases .
Always good reliable service. The only shop I trust to mount tubes and tires on my adventure bike
Im so glad I went here for help! Tyler encourages you to be responsible about maintaining your own bike, and even taught me how to tighten and oil the chain while I was there. Thank you, Tyler!
Tyler replaced a rear tire on my Ducati today.I felt he went above and beyond in service. He also provided me good insight as to you what had caused the rapid deterioration of my previous tire.In my experience it’s been very rare to find a qualified motorcycle mechanic who can have the service completed same day.I was impressed by the quality of their shop and level of expertise.Quite honestly I was ready to pay double what he charged me.The only thing that pains me about today’s experience with Hayasa is they don not work on “Eurotrash” bikes, as he stated.I didn’t even take it as insulting. He’s a likable guy.I highly recommend Hayasa if you own a bike they service.5 ⭐️‘S all the way.
Wasnt there for any motorcycle related items, my car got totaled right in front of shop and they assisted me, great bunch of guys
Anything I cant fix on my KLR I bring down to Hayasa, reasonable rates, no bulls#*t shop, dual-sport rider friendly for sure. If youre looking to get pampered by a maintenance experience similar to a dealership, this might not be the spot for you.
Absolutely great mechanic for my trouble. I called and same day got my Rapture fixed. Thank you.
They say they work on Japanese bikes. I just wanted a simple oil change. They DONT. Always call first so you dont waste your time.
Been my mechanic for some time and great work very honest and gets the job done the right way the first time highly recommend
Owner was friendly and took care of my needs. He was already caught up in other work but was able to squeeze me in for a tire replacement when I arrived. I really did appreciate that
You cant find a more decent, honest, knowledgeable, and informal person who will service your vintage or modern bike.
Got front tire put on about a week ago, cheap, fast, at the pressure I asked for... Then I found the rear brake mounting bracket loose, they fixed it for $0, I couldnt be happier, would recommend!
Ive brought my Suzuki here a couple of times, and Tyler is great. He seems extremely knowledgeable, takes care of what needs to be done without going overboard, and his prices are completely reasonable. Ill be back in the future!
Very professional guy. I got more than I asked for. He did a great job and informed me more on how to make my ride better. Love this place, do check them out.
Was in a bind to change a tire, called Tyler and he helped me out within an hour. Super nice guy and you can see the pride in the way this workshop is maintained - a labor of love. Sadly my bike is not Japanese, so I can’t be a regular there, but would highly recommend this place for anyone that rides them Yamaha, Honda & Suzuki...Thanks again Tyler!
Excellent service! Tyler always gets it right.
Wonderful service, took just as much time as I was told, and the gentleman did a little extra service work on the bike as well. Would definitely return
Tyler was absolutely an expert diagnosing my Motorcycle headlight problem. I thought it was a simple switch of a burned out bulb which it partially was. Tyler made my day by getting back on the road with my headlight working for an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend you take your motorcycle to him.
I needed to borrow a tool to finish installing my exhaust. I called this place and spoke to Tyler. Tyler w as s friendly and professional. No fuzzy business straight forward guy. Definitely coming back to get my first service done here.
Good prices and a great attitude. Always willing to help out. Support your local small bike shop.
Ive been to 3 other mechanics in the bay and Tyler is the only mechanic I trust to do a good job on my Bonnie. My previous mechanic severely screwed up the inside of my bike and Tyler was able to fix it immediately. Time and time again hes gone above and beyond and proven that hes extremely knowledgable and cares deeply about his craft.
Great guy. Nice shop. Excellent all around.
Tyler is a literal genius and its a crime this place doesnt have a 5 star rating.Had a brake problem, brought it in and Tyler performed magic in front of my eyes. You should only hope to be lucky enough to bring your bike here. His knowledge of Japanese motorcycles scares me.6 stars.
Tyler has Superior knowledge about motorcycles, what makes them work and why they may not be working their best. I have brought several kinds of bikes to him throughout the years for repair and maintenance and he has never let me down. Its best to call before going in to make sure he has time and the parts he needs. I have dealt with several other mechanics over the past 25 years, he is the most fair when it comes to price.
Tyler was very helpful and knowledgeable in explaining the problem with my bike. Thank you Tyler.🤙✌
Tyler has earned himself a lifelong customer. Hes very honest, detail oriented, and reasonable when it comes to cost. When fixing my bike, he noticed that the USB phone charger I had installed was floppy and dangling around everywhere. So he neatly mounted it without me even asking! I have complete trust in him taking care of my bike without having to pay an arm and a leg.
Every other shop told me it would be at least a week or more to get my tires changed! But when I called hayasa Tyler told me he could get it done same day and was 50-100 dollars cheaper than any other shop! Glad I called and will continue to bring my business here from now on
Tyler is down to earth, knowledgeable and fair. What more can you ask for from a mechanic?
Tyler is an excellent mechanic. I would have no problem returning for any future maintenance.
This place is the best hands down!
Tyler has really taken care of me and my bikes. He has helped me keep my Honda 750 K6 running since I got it brand new in 1976.! He also has a great assistant, Antone, who really helped me figure out a problem I had with a much newer bike. I know of no other Japanese bike shop around like this one. Chris
I was in need of a rear tire and they had the absolute best price they ordered it and was in the next day and install was quick as possible. The mechanic was friendly and gave agood pointers on upkeepp of my motorcycle. I would definitely recommend this place for all your motorcycle needs.
My experience here was nothing short of delightful. I found Tyler through Google Maps and from beginning to end he was unbelievably helpful. All I really needed was an oil change but Tyler went the extra mile and tightened my chain as well as helped me change out my rusted lever. He discussed other issues that I might address on my Triumph. He did all of this with a smile on his face And lightning speed turn over. You know, Tyler asked me if I was a good motorcycle owner (meaning, do I take care of my bike). Good to know that even if I’m not, I can bring my bike to him and he’ll get it back in shape if need be. I’ve also been royally over charged by a German Moto shop in San Francisco which left a bad taste in my mouth. Tyler’s price was very reasonable. I left feeling like I could trust this guy and I’m not sure I felt that way with a Moto shop yet in over 14 years! The cherry on top was adorable, furry, friendly Fiona greeting me when I walked in too. Beyond adorable.Highly recommend Hayasa Motorbikes.
Great service, professional staff and a legitimate motorcycle shop. Be weary of other shops in the area, make sure theyre a legitimate business! This guys shop has been open for 20 plus years, and still going strong. Wont take my bike anywhere else as long as I live nearby.
Tyler is great. Sometimes you have to shoehorn a product opinion out of him. Great, honest service. Just do your best not to end up on the Pegboard of Shame.
Everything good in these reviews is absolutely true. Tyler is the best. Straight forward, no BS, honest to a fault. I trust him fully.
I think Tyler is quite simply the best bike mechanic in the Bay Area. Im always shocked by how little he charges (compared to other mechanics Ive taken by bikes to), and how much he genuinely seems to care making sure the bike is in good shape. Most importantly, he will be frank with you when youre ruining your bike. Im glad hes a part of the Oakland community.
Tyler and Anton are honest guys who know their bikes. I see some negative reviews on here, so Id like to put in my two cents. This is a small, independent bike shop. They arent fast talkin swindler mechanics who only care about your money. They were friendly, insightful and helpful. I dont even need a mechanic to be friendly, but they were. Not bad prices, either.I will continue to visit Hayasa, no doubt about it.
Amazing! My 1980 Honda CB750K needed some TLC and thats precisely what Hayasa Motorbikes delivered. Hopefully I wont need to, but in case I do, I wont hesitate to come back. Thanks so much Tyler!
Tyler has worked on my Suzuki SV650 for years and he does an incredible job. What I love about him the most is that he is honest. He is fair and I never feel like he is trying to sell something I dont need. Also, I love that he takes the time to talk about your bike and tell you whats going on my bike doc lol I highly recommend this place regardless what kind of bike you have. Thanks Tyler!
Tyler is the best! He knows his stuff and charges very reasonable prices. Hes been my mechanic for nearly 20 years now. I hope hes around for another 20.
Tyler is super knowledgeable and charges fair prices for really good work. Hes also willing to tell me in no uncertain terms when Im wrong, which is the most valuable part of going to his shop for help!
Excellent. Honest. Sometimes brutally so. Especially good for vintage Hondas. Not really for super bikes -- unless you just need tires or such.
Tyler is as honest as the day is long. Any haters are just projecting their own issues. He worked on my 82 Honda CB900F SS several times and was always on time and on budget, explaining the work he did, what might be coming up, and what I could do on my own to save money. Highest recommendation here!
Great knowledgeable owner
Great service. Great prices.
Great person that gives fare prices. If your ever in town and need moto advice I highly recommend dropping by.
TYLER IS NUMBER ONE! Honest, reliable, and super helpful. Gives it to you straight and saves you a lot of trouble whenever he can. He legitimately just loves bikes and wants to help you. The one time there was an emergency and he was out of town and I had to take it to a recommended shop in Berkeley, of course they ripped me off. Im never taking my bike to anyone else ever again. The silly human that gave 1 star because they couldnt figure out the hours is trippin. The hours are listed and if hes away for some reason, he always lets you know on his answering machine. Try calling!
Awesome experience as always.
I dropped by here on my way through town and the patient and knowledgeable owner Taylor was honest and incredibly helpful. I learned a few things. I wish I had a mechanic like him at home!
Ive had work done here. I had a tire changed and a new chain put on. He did the work on VF750C in 2009 and now in 2012 I still remember the quality of his wokr and the courtesy and respect. I now ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 and will be going to him again if he has the time.
Tylers amazing. He took one long look at my 85 Honda Rebel and said, You could spin three times and point anywhere on this bike and it would have a problem...but Ill help you out. Three days later, it was working. Mind you I drove the bike into the group from riding it from Indiana. The point is for fair, cheap and experienced service, Id only take my bike to Hayasa. He even gave me advice about salvaging the same bike, and offered to look at any new bike I would purchase in the future.Hayasa is dope. Give Tyler a call.
Hayasa is the only place Ive taken my last 2 motorcycles to get work done on. Tyler is more than fair and just for the record ive yet to find a mechanic exculding present company that wasnt related to me or someone I know That I could use the term fair...#HayasaTylerMoreThanFair
Friendly staff and quick service. Had my tube replaced. Thank you
Tyleris awesome. Honest mechanic with your safety in mind.
Had a brief and positive experience fixing a small issue with my Honda CBR300 here. Couldnt have asked for it to go better. Im happy theres a local indie moto shop I can support.
I was over serviced and under charged.(When was the last time you could say that?)
Hayasa Motorbikes is a small independent motorcycle repair shop which specializes in Japanese and older models. Tyler is an interesting person, very knowledgeable.
Went in today didnt call or nothing just showed up guy with glasses the bomb gave me pointers fixed my dirtbike flat in 30min or less i will come back i will buy tires tubes ect loved it
Tyler is a great mechanic! 5 stars
Called earlier in the day if my bike can get it’s brakes checked out, then came in about an hour later. Tyler still let me in despite having his hands full. He pulled the wheel right off and knew exactly what was wrong. More people came in and was an all around friendly environment, will come again soon for a tire swap.
Very good work for a reasonable price.
Tyler always has the solutions!
Super helpful.
I took my Yamaha XT250 to adjust my carburator. He had time and adjusted it for FREE! He did not want to be paid for it because it took less than 10 minutes. I have since taken my 2011 VStrom 650 to him. Great work! Good Guy!!
Great local, affordable service for Japanese bikes.
Guys awsome grate service even better advices.
Great service, reasonably priced, great advice.
Tyler seriously rocks. Cant beat a place that gets your baby back on the road but these guys are quick, nice, and helpful.
Lifesaver
Quality work with an attention to details.
Cant figure out when theyre open. Gone there a few times during open hours, but seem to be closed.
If i had a hipster bike ...I would have it looked at by the technician there
Very fair, dedicated and thorough.
A real motorcycle shop.
Tyler is an Oakland legend.
Tyler is my tire man!
