Really good selection to choose from but the prices are outrageous. I realize prices have increased everywhere but these are chinese off brands, mostly for kids. Staff is not the friendliest either, it seems like your bothering them

I hope this place shuts down. Do not buy anything here. They will scam you. Gainesville is full of scooter place. Do yourself a favor and choose a different one to buy your scooter. I wasted 1000 dollars here for a scooter that lasted a day. They wouldnt even look at it regardless of the warranty.

I bought a brand “new” scooter from him and I rode it one time to work and back and it completely stopped working they came out and worked on it but it still wouldn’t work so they took it back to the shop and then brought it back to me. I road it Down the road and it it would not start again. I asked for a refund when they took it the shop because for a “new” scooter too much was going wrong within a couple days. The owner was fast talking me and refused to do a refund because I used it. I wanted a new scooter so i wouldn’t have any problems. Very disappointed do not go here.

I picked up my brand new scooter today and Veronica was wonderful. I felt so at home with her service and the guys in the back were more than willing to help. The bikes are awesome and they have them ready to roll for you. They also give you lessons before you drive out of the parking lot which was a huge help :)! If you are buying a scooter I wouldnt go anywhere but southern scooters ! Its the small town family feel.

This was my 3rd time dropping my bike off to this hole in the wall ATV repair shop for the same exact problem in less then 9 months!!! The appointed manager is a uneducated strung out person who have terrible customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone.... go pay a little more and get your property taken care of the first time and I’m sure better customer service.

Cheep pricing that definitely reflect on their poor service.Had my bike picked up on a Tuesday morning for a fix on my rear tire air valve, was advised it would be done by the end of the week. Come Saturday afternoon I still hadn’t received a call or anything to provide any info/status on my bike. So I called and was advised that it should be done that afternoon latest Monday.... Come Monday AFTERNOON I yet to receive a call, so again I call and was then advised that they didn’t realize it waas a “tube” tire so they had to order the piece then given another ETA for Tuesday afternoon LATEST Wednesday. Come THURSDAY afternoon after I called, they advised I can go and pick it up.I show up to the shop pay my bill and take my bike, to not even drive down the road to only realize they removed my rear break pads and never put them back .... I had to return the bike to the shop and leave it AGAIN overnight so that their incompetent techs can mount them back, while their what seemed to be owner/manager told me he would take care of the situation & they had the audacity to call me the next morning with an estimate of how much the REPAIR would cost for something THEY MESSED UP and even tried blaming me for the mistake.EXTREMELY poor service, do not recommend AT ALL. PLEASE do yourself a favor and find another shop.

Bought a used scooter there. I was assured that it ran great. I was assured that the mechanics went over the whole engine. Drove it home and by the time I got it home it would no longer start. When I called them their first response was to blame us then to tell us that we have to pay them to come get it and fix it. I told them that since I had bought it less than an hour ago from them they should pick it up and fix it for free. I was told no, that I bought it as is, which apparently was broken.

Ive done a lot of work on our two Chinese dune buggies and also dealt with several repair shops and these guys provided us outstanding service recently. Our kids were racing cousins with our Kinroad 150 when the frame tube broke supporing the package tray and gas tank. I thought the buggy was toast, but took it to them and they were all about can do! The workmanship on the weld/repair was awesome, as they took extra time to repaint so its difficult to find the repair, which was substantial. Also bought new tires they installed, and had them deliver the buggy to family members house there while we were absent. Great experience all around-good communication, fair price, awesome workmanship!

I thought this place was good,but starting to think otherwise. I bought an ATV a few years back and it has been amazing. So I went back when I saw a harley for sale that I really liked. I was told that this had been the owners bike and that he was just trying to sell it to get something bigger. About 3 weeks of riding it, The lights started flickering and it would not start sometimes. I took the seat off and found that the battery had been rigged with a screw because the terminal was broken off. I called Southern scooters and the owner admitted that he had rigged it up but that it had given him no problems. He ordered me a new battery and when I went to pick it up I was charged $150 for it. I didnt like it but I purchased it. After noticing he rigged the battery I started worrying about what else was rigged so I looked around and sure enough the back seat rest had been screwed on instead of having the correct adapter. Both of the foot pegs fell off while I was riding and the gas guadge doesnt work. Now the $150 battery has a dead cell and doesnt work. When I called I was told that the battery should have only cost me $80 that they only warranty them for one month even though when I pick the battery up I was assured it had a 2 year warranty and a 1 year full replacement. Also I was informed that the owner only had the bike a couple of months before he sold it to me after he told me it had been his bike for a long time . As of now they have done absolutely nothing to make any of this right but why would they? He got his $8500

About a week ago, I thought my scooters battery died. I called Southern Scooters and they came to pick up my scooter all the way at UFs campus the same day I called. When they got there, it turned out the battery was fine and the scooter ran perfectly. The man who came and helped also taught me a little more about my scooter and graciously dropped the pickup charges. This is the second highly pleasant experience Ive had with them! Very hospitable, professional, and friendly. They offer the cheapest rates AND the quickest service in the Gainesville area. I cant recommend them enough.

My only mode of transportation is a motorcycle and mine broke down.so I am desperate.so i decided to get a 2nd bike as a back up.I hate cars.So i see a craigslist ad for a nice bike.There about to close.But he says come on in.Now i was a little hesitant because he says were selling this for someone and then taking a sellers fee.But i ask him the usual questions like the odometer says 1708 miles like the ad says not 17,000 right.And he says yes 1708 miles.They will even deliver the bike.So i pay get the title go to the dmv get plates insurance etc.They deliver the bike Im Thrilled.So i drive to gainesville to see my girl.So Im driving and i start to realize that it is 17,000 miles.I drive to the bank maybe 6 miles from them and the bike wont start at all.So i call say hey the bike i literally bought from u yesterday just quit on me.They say it will be tomorrow before we can get it,There will be a 25$ pick up fee 45$ exam and then whatever we find wrong will cost 2.and then i say the bike has 17,000 miles not 1700 and they say well we were just selling it for someone not our fault.So all that to say these people jerry rigged this bike and lied to my face or there complete idiots.either way dont shop here

We have been dealing with this company for a while. No problems until now, they had my sons 4 wheeler for 2 weeks and did not fix it. When we came to pick it up the repairman was so rude, was cursing at my husband. Said that they run their shop and the customers dont run anything in all of his foul language. . This was worse experience I ever had there with this mechanic. And because of him we will not go back and do business there ever.

I have been driving my scooter in the Gainesville area for two years now and this is the only scooter store i will go to now. This store charges fair prices and is super efficient at getting the job done in a reasonable time. All the scoot stores near campus are ripping the scooter population off by charging unfair prices for simple things such as a oil change, gear oil change, and getting brakes replaced. Southern scooters is the only scooter store i have found in Gainesville that is not ripping people off and gives great speedy service.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY NEVER EVER.We just repaired the gas tank, my son drove this piece of junk for 15 minutes and the top shifter cable broke. $2,500.00 for a piece of junk. From the beginning, 1st time driving it there were problems. We have had to work on or replace just about everything but the seat and the tires. The go cart has been driven about 2 to 3 hours total. And the customer service is horrible.

Scam artists, crooks, incompetent, lairs, all these words describe southern scooters. They are going down the same path as swamp cycles. They refuse to address complaints and wont even respond to there bad reviews. The only resent good review is by the owner. There warrens dont cover anything. If i where you i would just by from another dealer in town, theres plenty of them. I bought a brand new 150cc VIP scooter and it broke down within a month of having it. I went back to get this fixed and they said,this isnt covered by your warranty. They told me the could fix it, but i would have to pay them. I already payed them to pick it up, so i let them fix it. It costed 246$. A few days later it broke down again and again they said it wasnt covered by my warranty. Infuriated I left and took my scooter elsewhere to be repaired. The mechanic said the reason i have bin having so many problems i because it have bin striped of expensive parts and replaced with old parts that did not work well with this scooter. i dont know how this happend but all i know is i will never let southern scooters and Atvs inc ever touch my scooter again. I hope if your the owner reading this complaint you will address it in a professional matter and try to fix it. unlike when i talked to you on the phone about it.

And the scooter to say the least is old and beat up, but is still my Scoot-Scoot none the less. it gets me from point A to point B. Lately my little Scoot-Scoot has not been a healthy girl. One day she broke down on the side of the road and wouldnt start! Luckly Southern Scooters came and picked her up at a very low price (Thank goodness), located the problem, ordered the parts, and got her running in no time! They also explained and taught me things about a scooter that where educational. Jerod and his team definitely know what they are doing. Horrible Exp!!!!! I had a clogged carburetor according to this company, that needed a new fuel line, trash taken out of gas tank that was causing the problem... I paid 100$ for this job to ultimately need a new carburetor. This costed me an additional 85$... The problem had gotten worse.. I had to take the scooter back to this compamy 3 additional times for them to fix the same problem.... Long story short i am pending a civil suit that may cost me an additional $200.... Save u some time and 💰 by either fixing your own problems or take it to some real certified mechanic that knows about scooters.

I have an idea you sould learn how to run a respectable dealership and stop scamming people. This scamming will catch up to you.

That is a little fishy, they obviously dont want to be held responsible for their work or their products. Dwayne, Jeremy and the other 2 (I dont remember their names), DO NOT TRUST THEM. We need good local business, not bad!A very specific instance:Day 1: Can buy both of these ATVs $2000 cashDay 2: No you cant buy both for $2000 cash. Can sell 1st ATV for $900-$1000 without bushings fixed & with bushings fixed $1200, Dwayne said part costs $50/each + $50 labor, 2nd ATV for $1400Day 3: Now Dwayne says $2000 cash was unrepaired, and not put together, in as-is condition, which was never stated on day 1. 1st ATV is now $1200 without bushings fixed, $2000 with bushings fixed (even though part is only $50 x 2 +$50 labor), 2nd ATV is now $1600You can do the math. Dont be ignorant.
