Felt rushed and overcharged. Eye exam was great, service afterwards not so great.

The service here is bad. Mark told me my insurance didnt cover as much as as really did. When the glasses came in they werent made right an my wife couldnt see close up with them, which is what she needed them for. We wanted them remade and gave back the expensive frames, and used a pair we already had. They sent them out and two weeks later and they still have not received them. Then after having them check they told me they broke the lens and had to re-do them again. Two more weeks go by and still no glasses. Then they called and said they were shipped and they should have them today or the next day, and they would call me as soon as they came in. That was 3 days ago and still no call. Just called them again, and they said they had them. What happen to I will call you as soon as they come in? in total I waited about 7 weeks to get these glasses, and until I pick them up tomorrow, I dont if they made them right or not. The Eye Doctor is great, but get your glasses somewhere else. 1 star is the lowest I can go, otherwise I would put - 1.

I had an issue with my glasses and mark and IRA took very good care of me.They got in touch with my eye doctor and because my RX was very recent were able to make me a great pair of eye glasses quickly and they really are perfect eye glasses in every way.The fit is also perfect and the style is very much in fashion!IRA also adjusted my old eye glasses and I was able to use them until my new glasses arrived.I did not have to ask IRA to adjust my older glasses with my prior prescription because he has many years of experience and could see that they badly needed to be adjusted.Mark and IRA were very professional and Mark did the PD and fit of my replacement eye glasses.Over all this was a very good experience and I am extremely grateful to the staff members of JP Penney optical for taking such good care of my needs as a loyal JC Penney customer.I hate mediocrity but this experience was Excellence at its best.!!!

Called and spoke with someone regarding my sons prescription and was told they were going to pull up his records, so that we could purchase a new pair of glasses from him. When my wife arrived the next day, the staff acted as if she was disturbing them by asking for service. They said that my son would need to have a new examination due to the fact that the records did not transfer over from when they moved from Sears to JCPenney. Which completely opposite of what I was told on the phone. My wife and I are very upset by the service we received, it was a giant waste of time. Needless to say we will not be going back to JCPenney Optical again....

My entire family has gone here for years Excellent doctor who has been there a very long time, staff as well. They know us even when we are just passing by. Cost for children glasses are better than Walmart and they quickly replace/repair when needed. Highly recommend.

Recently visited for an eye appointment and as soon as i arrived I immediately felt like i was on a used car lot. It was the set up, the representatives, the dress code, the way they were going about and handling things. The representatives appeared to be trying to get me in and out and not really answering my questions or not interested enough in understanding what i was hoping for.The staff appeared to be unprofessional and more concerned with whispering amongst themselves which I found to be rude and disrespectful. They werent as sincere as they should have or could have been. It appeared they just wanted to sell me something and not genuinely concerned with providing great customer service or meeting my needs.Im not going to say they dont know what theyre doing as far as the work itself, but if you dont mind the used car feeling then youre good to go.

Very bad experience. Helped by the manager who was very rude n unfriendly. They charge more than they advertised. Other staff was better than the manager.

Long term staff. Excellent Doctor. They really care. Great prices also.

I purchased the most expensive pair of eye glasses in my entire life, and they are the Worst I have ever had. Dont waste your money, dont buy here. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Every excuse under the sun, from you have to give your brain 2-3 weeks to get use to them, to let me train you how to use your glass, it is you, you are using them all wrong ! B>S>I am 62 and wearing glasses since 18. I think I can train you !.

Things have changed drastically now that Nationwide has taken over the JCP Optical. They have discontinued my favorite frames and prices are up significantly.

The doctor was very friendly, thats the only reason Im posting to stars instead of one.When I was given my prescription after my eye exam I asked for my PD. They didnt give me that because they wanted me to buy frames are their store. Now, I get that in this day and age you have a lot to complete with, but being stingy with my information is not going to persuade me to buy frames from them-- having good prices and selection will! I dont think that was a very professional move on their part, so that is why Im leaving this review.

Glasses are falling apart they fixed them about a week after I got them then two months later the same thing happened and the guy that runs the place told me too sad to bad he wasnt going to fix them again the lens keeps popping out he fixed it last time took him five minutes this time I guess it wasnt worth his time going somewhere else next time my glasses werent cheap cost me around $300.

A scam. Run in the other direction, any direction. My 2 pair for 99.00 became barely 1 pair for 300! Thats with 50.00 frames. Yeah.....
