Coffee was great, the food was filling and very affordable. Our waitress was very polite and made sure we were always satisfied.The available outdoor seating area is very nice.The main attraction of course is the aesthetic. The old fashion coffee joint look was stunning. Perfect for a good breakfast.

It was a nice old time diner that serves breakfast and lunch only Both of us had a grilled reuben. It was jam packed with lean and tasty corned beef. I think it was the best Reuben I ever had. Prices are reasonable. It is a block from OCs main shopping district & in walking distance of the boardwalk.

Asked sit outside and were told okay. 20 minutes later still no service so we left. Inside was very crowded and seats close together. There are way better breakfast places in town.

I just love this place! An affordable little mom & pop place w/simple great tasting breakfast & lunch choices. Had tremendous fluffy blueberry pancakes (the BEST!!) w/the berries IN the pancakes! Have always loved their burgers, & their shakes are hand-spun & served w/the metal mixer container alongside the glass. Its cash only, but it wont break you.

The food was excellent and their service was pretty good. Menu is kinda small but what they offer they know how to do it well. Food service was pretty quick. Only complaint is the place is pretty small and it’s pretty cramped with little room between tables. Overall a good breakfast place. I will definitely return.

Stopped at Readys on a cold, cloudy day in March, after being chased off the boardwalk by windy, wet weather. My cousin and I were looking for somewhere to continue our conversation, and we found it here. The service was very good, the soup we ordered was okay, the coffee was okay, the iced tea was okay, the fruit salad was okay. The atmosphere was pleasant, and prices were very reasonable. Readys is open all year, and Im glad we gave it a try.

Readys is a charming little place straight out of the 40s. The place has great food, awesome service and a timeless style. Kind of tight quarters but the old fashioned counter and the open kitchen are worth it. For me, its a nostalgic trip back to my childhood when my father had a similar place. For a good breakfast, this place is probably the best in Ocean city. Give it a try!

Always open all year round, went mid March for lunch. Great local place in business district, wonderful small business charm, nice food selection, our two choices were delicious. A good way to experience the local flavor of OCNJ!

What a great little breakfast shop. Immediately after walking in, I felt like I walking into my own kitchen. It was welcoming. I sat down at a stool and had a chat with the waitress. The waitstaff and cooks enjoyed playful and funny banter back and forth which made the place seem lively. The food came quick and was quite delicious. The place could use a touch-up. Not a full renovation, but something to clean up the look a bit would really be the icing on the cake. I would most definitely come back here.

This is an excellent, authentic 1950s coffee shop and luncheonette. Breakfasts are cooked as you ordered, plentiful and reasonably priced. Lunches are great; the soups are good, sandwiches and sides delicious and the servers, most of whom have been there for years, are the best! The place is known for its roast turkey, but go for the ambience and the rest of the menu as well.

Not good. Waitress was rude to start with. Plunked our plates down and walked off. I thought she was gone for good I got up to get my own ketchup. She did come back with a very tiny cup of bad cole slaw. Hamburger was thin and mostly pink. There were flies in there but something else occupied them. My wife got grilled cheese with bacon. Skimpy on the cheese. At least it was cheap. I wont go back.

The food was really good and our serve was really awesome with taking care of our family. With a three year old and one year old we often arent the easiest customer. She brought crayons, crackers, and pickles to keep them calm while they hungrily waited for lunch.

I have been visiting Ocean City NJ for more then 25 years and Readys Coffee Shop is the BEST Breakfast on the Island. The food is always very hot, very prompt and taste GREAT. Its nice to see a place like Readys stay in business year over year with the same staff every year. Lastly you wont break your wallet for breakfast as the prices are very reasonable unlike establishments such as Uncle Bills where pancakes and coffee can cost over $10 I have sent many many friends and family to Readys over the years and every one of them rant and rave over how its there new favorite breakfast restaurant. KEEP IT UP READYS YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

07/30/16 went to the shop because it said it had one of the best milkshakes. The lady that waited on us had us wait outside until she was done making the shakes and she would knock on the window to have us come in. I could of understood that if it was crowded but there were like 4 customers inside but I agreed. When she finally did make the milkshakes they were like milk. I told her I didnt want them if they were that thin. She was so angry she wouldnt even talk to me and kept throwing things around. She did remake 1 of the Shakes but it was still thin. Not impressed and I would never return or recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent Breakfest Lunch And Dinner

If Im going to sit down and eat breakfast this is a good option. Their food is good and the prices are fair in comparison to other breakfast locations in town. I tried take out here on a number of occasions but always had a bad experience with the waitress who works the counter and the take out customers. She pays little or no attention to take out customers and while Im in a hurry and waiting for a coffee and toasted bagel, the server is having extensive conversations with her regular customers and disrespects me as a take out customer who is in a hurry. I have tried this several times with the same experience each time to the point where she knew I was in a hurry and purposefully kept me waiting while the bagel was ready for pickup but she was busy with her conversations with other more interesting customers. Im no longer a customer of this business. Another Ocean City business that will only accept cash as payment. I wonder why, in this day and age this owner refuses to move with the times and forego all that unreportable/traceable cash?
