Unfortunately, this location has had problems with the pharmacy for a few years. Seems like management shows no interest in making changes. Pharmacist and employees with bad attitudes. Not answering the phone for up to a hour. No filling perceptions for days. Not enough staff as always. Corporate needs to step in..
If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. The employees are incredibly rude and don’t seem to care about the customers at all. While waiting in line, I heard the pharmacist Carrie say she hated people while being disrespectful to a man at the front. I know times are tough due to COVID but what’s going on back there is ridiculous. Even if they’re backed up, they shouldn’t be nasty to the customers.
The idiot pharmacists are no help. 10 of them and they all stand around and do nothing
There is not one good thing g about this pharmacy. The staff is rude, the lines are always long, I was in hold for a half hour on the oven before I decided to hang up, and twice, my meds were call in in a Thursday and I had to call on MONDAY and they were still not ready. Their answer “ we are busy”. I’ve moved to Giant down the road.
This pharmacy is so bad, I’ve sent feedback to corporate ! I hate that this is the closest cvs to my house. I can’t get my prescriptions filled anywhere else. Dear god PLEASE send someone from a functioning cvs pharmacy to turn this one around. The drive thru was closed today...for whatever reason, filled my prescription yesterday morning and went in today only to find out that it still isn’t ready. But again, this is normal service for this location 😩
Understaffed and woefully slow, but those that are here try to be helpful, often with mixed (and occasionally hilarious) results. Word to the wise, don’t call, I had an hour wait and it was never picked up while I was there.
I transferred my prescription here. I have never had any issue with timeliness or filling an order, until I came here. They first said that it wasnt ready (they had it for 5 days), I was out of my medicine so I figured 5 days would be enough time. The lady at the window told me it wasnt ready but she would expedite it, which would take a other 24 hours. I waited about 40 hours and went back. They had no record of my prescription now and asked what it was. Once again I was told it would be expedited and to come back at a later time. I understand if its out of stock but none of that information was relayed to me. Probably going to try a different pharmacy. This one isnt worth the time and effort.
I know the CVS Odenton pharmacy is understaffed so I blame management more than anyone else for the poor quality, days to fill medications if they fill them at all, and my order is rarely ever correct at this particular location. I highly recommend filling your prescription at any other location. Ive filled my prescriptions here only out of convenience in proximity and keep forgetting to delete this CVS from my chart so doctors will stop filling my meds here. Good luck ever getting this location to answer their phone. After taking days to refill certain medications, sometimes I contact my doctor to go ahead and call a new prescription to a different location. Management, please hire more staff.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, ENERGY. Tried to call ahead to see if my prescription was available, to avoid any issues when I got there. Naturally for a 1.8 star CVS location no one picked up after being on hold for 30 minutes, which to me indicates employees who blatantly ignore incoming calls. So I then drive to the CVS to be greeted by a pharmacist with a bad attitude at the front desk named Marla and she presumed to tell me they had nothing for me, not even a voicemail which is incorrect because my provider left them a VM an hour prior. Moral of the story, don’t give your money and business to this multimillion dollar company when they don’t even require their staff to have any standard of good service, which I’m sure is a product of them not paying them well enough and also treating them unfairly. Gross.
I was a long time customer at this location. I have had great service years ago, but have watched as the service has steadily declined. Lately, I have observed others being told their scripts were not ready after returning multiple times. I have also experienced multiple trips after being promised a refill within a short time. I also heard the staff say they were running 2 weeks behind on filling subscriptions. I am concerned that the chances for errors will increase due to the pressure staff is under. I used to receive excellent service from the pharmacists on staff, but lately not so. I have observed empty bins of completed subscriptions; hence the running behind issues. I have taken my business elsewhere. I will say that the handling of Covid tests has been very good; smooth process and fast results.
They never fulfill my orders. I always have to come down ask the status and then come back hours later. I’m finding a new pharmacy.
I have never had such terrible service at a pharmacy. They never had my prescription ready before day 3 or 4, even when they say it will be ready the next day or within 2. I have gone many times to be told it has not been filled and will take 1.5 to 2 hours to expedite one prescription. I tried to give them one too many chances but will no longer be using the pharmacy.
Very rude employees in the pharmacy. I always have to call to see if my prescriptions are ready.
My prescription was never ready on time. Them I am told to wait a random amount of time that is always wrong. Then I have to come back again still with no results. Im sure the people work hard and are great, but something is seriously wrong and they need help from corporate.
I go here when I am desperate. Worse pharmacy in the Odenton, Gambrills, Crofton area. They are too slow and do not acknowledge the drive thru cars when they see a car.I put the scripts in at 4 20 PM and told it would be ready by 8 30 PM!!! Arrived at 8 40 PM and had to wait for the meds-- uncomplicated mess at that! I waited for 15 minutes at the drive thru. I even hit the call button twice, waited, then hit the horn. Oh, there were 3 folks working in the pharmacy with one customer being served inside.CVS, fire the slow motion turtle mob!! I wish I could give zero stars!!
Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. When your doctor calls in a prescription they don’t bother to make it until you go into the store - I’ve waited a week with my prescription showing “in progress” on the app and it never being filled until I went in. Then they say it will take a few hours and to come back. You call and they hang up on you. Horrible!
7.22.2021 Gave them another chance 3 weeks after I left my original review. My daughter got her wisdom teeth removed and its in a lot of pain. As soon as we left the doctors office, I called and asked how long would the prescription take and was told 30 minutes. It took me 34 minutes to get to the pharmacy to be told that 2/3 were ready and that the pain killer would take another 30 minutes. Went back a couple of HOURS later to be told the same thing its going to take about 30 minutes. So when I go later to pick it up, this would be the 3rd time I go in one day. Totally unacceptable. Switching to another pharmacy.Every time I come here to pick medicine I ordered the day before and Im told things like Itll be ready by 5pm today or Itll be ready by 8pm today, the prescription is never ready.
This CVS pharmacy is the worst!! I keep giving them chances but my prescriptions are never finished in the quoted amount of time. I have to call several times throughout the day to get prescriptions and it’s unacceptable. I’m not sure who is at fault but corporate needs to step in and help these employees out. They are clearly overwhelmed and need more resources or staff.
Ok after reading the reviews I was very hesitant to transfer my prescriptions to here. I spoke to Bryant and he was very helpful. They answered the phone on the second ring. How about that!! I live in Crofton and the CVS on Davidsonville Rd has gone down the tube. They do not even bother to answer the phone. The lines in the drive thru and inside are ridiculous and the meds are never ready. Maybe the ones that are automatically filled but if you have a new prescription it will takes days to fill.. if you are lucky. With the Kmart and the Shoppers pharmacy closing they acquired all of their prescriptions. They are sooo overwhelmed. From now on it’ll be worth the drive to this CVS in Odenton!
I would give zero stars if I could. The pharmacy is always at least a week behind. The employees are extremely rude and should be fired because they can’t do their job
Worst pharmacy ever. Prescriptions never ready on time. Got out the hospital in immense pain and was unable to fill perspiration till next day. Even sent me to another CVS just to tell me they cant fill because perspiration cant be transferred because they already started filling. Worst ever. And other perspirations never on time anymore.
They DON’T ANSWER THE PHONE. You will be straight up ignored.
The worst drugstore in Maryland. At least a week behind on prescriptions is a regular occurrence.
They charge me for a product that they dont have. I order 4x6 photos and 5x7 cards; they dont have ink(the guy in the store said) but, they charge me anyways for the cards, and because of the online offer the guy said: the amount is cheap anyways -_-!
Prescriptions are never ready on time. Ever. They are unorganized
The worst pharmacy. They are so slow and their system goes down a lot. They have you waiting for a long time just to tell you the system dont work
Pharmacy is dropping calls now after 10 minute holds. Pharmacy not filling prescriptions.
I highly recommend ordering from this Drug Store. They are so helpful, and polite. I am definitely a satisfied customer!
Rude. Deliver prescriptions days after promised, if at all. No communication on whether prescriptions are going to be late.
Late with orders and have poor quality customer service
At first I was hesitant about going to this pharmacy with the negitive reviews, but Im glad I did.. Everyone helped me with everything I needed, and were very polite. The only issue was that I had to wait for one of my scripts to be filled. Just make sure that you call ahead; if youre in a hurry and cant wait. I also dont have the app which would probably help with that.
Telephone wait times are ridiculous, I was on hold for 35 minutes, and no one ever even answered. 😡😡
Never had a worse pharmacy experience in our lives. Inconsistent communication, insurance foulups, and different representatives telling us different things! Once, they can look up if a medication is carried by somebody else, and the next time we ask... they cant look up at all! Awful.
Took them 3 and a half hours to fill a couple prescriptions that’s just crazy. Put the pills in a bottle it’s not that hard. Completely inexcusable
Absolutely do not go to a CVS for a COVID-19 test. I have been waiting 10+ days for my results. I thought CVS was helping out with meeting the demand for people who needed results quickly, but if you want quick you definitely do not want to get tested at a CVS...
I am so disgusted with this pharmacy. I have had prescriptions submitted by various doctors electronically only to be told by the pharmacist that they were not submitted or received. Each time I call the provider only to find out that the prescription was indeed submitted. It is only after challenging the pharmacy with the new information is it revealed that they indeed have it! I had lumbar fusion surgery one week ago and was told that the script was not received. Needless to say, it was!!!!!!!!! I’m in excruciating pain and now I have to wait until they can get to it to fill, which is a few hours from now. DON’T HAVE YOUR PRESCRIPTION SENT HERE!!!!!!
Bottom Line the Staff at the pharmacy hate their job, do yourself a favor and find another job you like. they have an altitude and they seem like they are doing something else and not focusing on your issue and you have to pull the words out of their mouth. worst experience ever.
This is the worst pharmacy. Drop 1 simple tylenol prescription at 3pm. Told it would be ready later I asked does late mean a couple hours? Yeah was the reply. 4 hours later not ready for pickup. Told well expedite come back in a hour. Hour later still not ready. Standing patiently waiting hope to get the pain meds for my wife fresh out of oral surgery 6hrs ago. Only 20min to closing,......
This place is called CVS “PHARMACY” right? How the heck do they only have three people working in the pharmacy?! The lines are worse than Disney World! I feel bad for the pharmacy employees. Typical business model. This place is not about health.
Worst Pharmacy in the Area.
The people who work in the Pharmacy here are rude!!!!( including the pharmacist) Just dropped my sons adhd prescription off . She asked when I wanna pick it up? I replied im gonna do some shopping so I can wait if thats okay? She responded Well its going to be a couple hours, Im not working on those kind of prescriptions right nowI reply back.... okay, thats fine. When should I come back Well, honestly, close to 4 or 5 hours!!!Smh after the person in front of me is told come back in 30 minutes!!!!Unbelievable....... She made me feel like she was mad or judging me because it was adhd medicine???Last time I come to this Pharmacy!! They need to better train their staff in customer service!! They are just rude!!
Horrible wait time. They are very under staffed. Lack of customer service.
Do not go to CVS for Covid tests.. Ive been waiting 6+ days. With AAHealthDept. results in 2days.
Bad experience. The pharmacy staff was not helpful at all and their behaviour was rude. I felt like they didnt want to do their job. Please go to some other CVS nearby.
I am on a prescribed injection medication, which I get at Walgreens because they take my insurance. My insurance doesn’t cover needles, and Walgreens does not carry the needles I need, so I’ve been getting needles at CVS. Today, I showed up to get them. The pharmacist asked if I have a prescription. I said yes, at Walgreens, and asked her if she’d like to call and verify. She refused to call Walgreens. She began asking me invasive questions about how often I inject my medication, which made me VERY uncomfortable because the store was relatively busy. She said she would ONLY give me a one month supply of needles and would NEVER sell me needles again because I didn’t have a prescription with CVS.It is the MD Board of Pharmacy policy to sell needles without a prescription and not target patients on pharmacist discretion as that can lead to discrimination. I feel I was unfairly targeted because I am transgender, and visibly in the middle of transitioning. As soon as I got home, I called CVS customer support. The agent I spoke to spoke to the pharmacist, and said she said she was “uncomfortable” giving me needles without a prescription. I reiterated that I offered to call Walgreens and verify I have a prescription on file, which she refused. The treatment I received at this CVS was beyond unprofessional, goes against the MD Board of Pharmacy’s statements on harm reduction, and I will not be returning.
I called to check the status of a prescription refill and the pharmacy personnel did not fully answer my question, so I asked a follow-up question. He raised his voice and said that he had other things to do and he hurried me off the phone. This is not the first rude and unprofessional interaction with the pharmacy personnel at this location. I will not be filling any of my prescriptions here anymore. I will drive out of the way to not come to this pharmacy again.
Most at the pharmacy are rude including some of the pharmacist. I called this evening to ask for a refill on my medication. First they couldnt locate it then I was told to wait to see if they had it stock. I know they have it because the other CVS said they did. I tried to tell him that but was dismissed by the manager saying hes the only one doing everything. I asked if I could call back in an hour to check he told me two hours and hung up the phone on me!!! So unprofessional !!! Also Ive seen them eating and drinking g ba k there which is forbidden while preparing peoples medication. Ive had it Im switching my pharmacy asap.
Everytime I take my prescription there they have to order telling it will be in tomorrow well tomorrow comes and still no prescription. Its been three days and still no prescription they are playing with peoples lives. They need a new crew in there.. so done with them
WHY SHOULD I TRUST THEM TO FILL MY PRESCRIPTIONS??I DONT! I will never go into this store again. Nor will I ever go into any CVS store. And I certainly will not use the pharmacy again. They advertise this $50 reward for prescriptions and they say that the pharmacy staff will help you enroll. Fat chance of that. I got jerked around in this store for over a half hour. No one knew how to do it and then there were those that said it was your normal care card - its not. Not a single person said, I will find out for sure and let you know. I have been in some poorly run stores but this is the worst for customer service. This girl who said she was the manager, Sienna, said she did not know the regional managers contact info. If they are this sloppy and unprofessional, I am sincerely afraid to let them fill my prescriptions. There are much better drug store chains.
When asked if Id like to wait for my meds and I ask how long it will be, I get one of two responses- about 4 hours (why would anyone wait that long...) or the other - youll know when they call you. What?! This pharmacy is slow and very unprofessional. Most have no patience. I was late picking up a prescription once, not overdue, just late, and the staff person couldnt find my meds. He asked another person for assistance. After she found my order, she said to HIM but facing me so I heard her....well if she wasnt late, we wouldnt have this backup.... Wow. I dont want my family being treated like this so I have them use another store.
Just not sure what to think about this pharmacy. I had a reasonably okay experience while obtaining a previous script (inexperienced but nice staff member) and then a negative one this past time. When I was charged a nominal amount for the prescription, I asked the clerk to make sure it was the brand name for that drug. She assured me that yes, thats what the doctor ordered; I later discovered that its the generic version, exactly what I didnt want and what wasnt prescribed. Moreover, when I called a moment ago, the pharmacist heard my concern, told me to come back in, didnt sound surprised, leading me to conclude that this happens a lot -- and didnt apologize for their error. Will go somewhere else after this.
Wish I could give 0 stars. The last 4 times (4 TIMES!) Ive been there to get my prescriptions (out of the 5 times Ive used this location) theyve messed up my prescriptions. Twice theyve forgotten to fill one or more drugs and twice they gave me 30 days when my prescription was for 90 days (but they charged me for 90 days and it was only when I checked after getting the bottles that I found I was massively short-changed). I have no option other than to use CVS for my maintenance drugs, but I will now be going out of my way to pick them up at another location. Its worth it to hopefully get it right. What an absolute joke of an operation.
Nobody deserves to be treated this way. Ruben asked me if my medication was for pain or addiction. Now why is that his business? Will be filing a formal complaint but, go anywhere expect here.
Brandon in the drive thru is always nice
Today I received a call that my prescription is ready for pickup when, once again, I did not submit a prescription nor did my doctor submit a prescription. Apparently they keep putting my prescriptions on automatic re-order even though I have specifically requested my prescriptions not be on automatic reorder. So now SEVEN TIMES over the last 9-10 months I have gone in to the store and informed them I did not submit a prescription and they need to turn off automatic re-order for ALL my prescriptions, yet here we go again.
This place is fantastic, they will have your order ready in just a few minutes. Very good advice from the staff, thank you!
Just read other reviews regarding Covid testing—waiting times are ridiculous.
Never again! I had a prescription sent electronically on Monday. I dropped off another one the same day and was told that I would have to wait a hour. Before leaving out to pick up my prescriptions, I called to ask the price, and was told by whomever picked up the phone my prescription prices and that only one was ready due to the other having to be ordered. Informed once again at the drive thru window that my other prescription had to be ordered and would arrive the next day. Its now Wednesday and I go to pick up my medication and no one has no idea what Im talking about. The pharmacists on duty is not helpful or friendly either, and claims I have no prescription. I seriously need this medication and neither person has no idea what happened. Ive been going here for years and I cant believe they cant locate a prescription, I was told to wait for. Go to Walgreens, Im sure they wont lose your prescription.
Staff is friendly and very helpful.
Horrendous service at CVS in Odenton. The pharmacist Tina was arrogant and dismissive. The cashier has my sympathy. A year later I am editing my review because I have found that the CVS pharmacy in Clarksville is helpful, efficient, and delivery has been prompt. Odenton CVS pharmacist Tina needs training in treating sick people with empathy and respect.
This is the second pharmacy (Edgewater being the first) where the service and level of care the customer receives is so sub par. Does CVS even care -- I think no as I have already called their regional manager and he had an I really dont care response. So there you have it!
They do great work under very overwhelming conditions at times. They have always been great.
Picking up my prescriptions tomorrow and then transferring all to the CVS across from my office. Pharmacist is rude with no customer service at all. Sad because the CVS is close to my home. I strongly recommend everyone go elsewhere!
I am so sick of CVS and this pharmacy specifically. The complete disconnect after taking over the pharmacy in Target. They are constantly messing up the prescriptions and now I’m standing in line after being rejected from the drivethru to update my daughter’s RX info that is still the same from the target pharmacy. Why is there no communication?!
Wish I could leave 0 stars. The pharmacy staff are the absolute worst. For starters, no matter how many times I drop off my insurance card, they can never seem to find it in the system. There have been multiple times of me dropping off a script early in the day, and when I come to pick it up in the evening the script wasn’t filled because again they “can’t seem to find it.” I use this location for convenience but never again. I don’t understand people who are in the customer service line of work and treat people so poorly. Today, 12/5/2018 I tried to drop off a script. AGAIN I was asked if I had insurance because it wasn’t in the system, and then I was told my coverage was only effective from 11/1/2018 to 12/2/2018. I just used my insurance card an hour before at urgent care, and then on 12/4/2018 to pick up medicine for my child. The pharmacy staff need to get it together, and learn how to do their job
Horrid service. When picking up photos, the CVS app messed up and didnt take off the coupon. The employees refused to honor the coupon and blamed me for messing up. Wasted over an hour trying to get this resolved. All over less that $10.
I just left CVS drive thru and again had a bad experience. I spend a lot of time and money at my neighborhood store and I feel like I should be treated respectfully and courteously every time I am there. My most recent experience was with an employee in the drive- thru that was so rude. I pull up, push the button, and wait. There was a silence after the recorded info was interrupted by the employee who was speaking away from the microphone . I asked was,he saying something and he quickly and sharply opened the window and asked my last name first name? Then DOB. No hello, no smiling, he then went and retrieved a script and just handed me a small clipboard with a paper for me to sign w/o even speaking on why, what it is? Do I have any questions. Etc. And the whole time with a crap attitude! This pharmacy has been going downhill for a while now ...the whole are is actually...I have been going here for 20+ years and I am appalled at the behavior of these employees that I have encountered. Im just not going back. I!m sick of it!
This is the worst pharmacist I have ever been to. I had a defective inhaler that I rely on to breath properly. This was the second inhaler that I had purchased from this Pharmacy that was defective.I called the Pharmacy to see if they would replace the defective inhaler that they supplied to me. Christen Hou,the pharmacist, told me they could not replace it and to call the Manufacturer. No customer service, your on your own if they give you a defective prescription. I had been a customer of that CVS for 12+ years. I am changing from CVS to Walgreens because of that incident . FYI, the CVS employees are great, the Pharmacist are not.
Pharmacy was always nice to me at this location.
RUDE!Went in for a passport photo. The kiosk didn’t prompt us to ask/wait for an employees assistant and no employee offered to help. When it was time to check out and receive the photos employee female with red hair was very rude as well her peer.
I went online to CVS’s immunization scheduler and reserved an 8 AM appointment for a flu shot at the pharmacy. When I got there, the pharmacist was working in the back but the pharmacy gate was down. I told the other store personnel that I had an appointment and they told me the pharmacy did not open until 9 AM. One of the employees called back to the pharmacy and explained the situation, but the pharmacist refused to open until 9 AM. That’s not the pharmacist’s fault that the online system allowed me to reserve an out-of-hours time, but I was annoyed that the pharmacist’s customer service response was for me to come back later. Since I was already there, I waited until 9 AM and was the first person in line when the pharmacy gate opened. The pharmacist then told me he had a lot of prescriptions to fill and that I would have to wait some more. Finally, around 9:20, he gave me my flu shot. Never once did he apologize for my having to wait. Instead, he acted like I was a bother. The other store personnel were very nice and professional, but I certainly will never patronize this pharmacy ever again.
Went there to pick up my prescription. Stood in a long line and when it was my turn, they didnt have my insurance info. Had to get into 3 different long lines before transaction was complete. Ridiculous! Not first time I had issues with this pharmacy. My wife feels the same. Will go somewhere else from now on.
I have been a customer for 20 years an always say how happy i am with the service you provide! Staff has been consistently friendly n heloful. I believe it is more expensive but have paid to have good records n dependable service.Lately i do need to say I have had nothing but problems with the auto refill system -recently not removing meds no longer taking and they still get filled. I cancelled one w 3 different people. In some cases picking up meds i no longer take. I should have noticed but paid for sonething i cant use. It is not productive for you or me. Please work on this process
Stupid expensive, go to the Giant or on post. Store is well kept but outside area is almost always dirty. Only go here for USAA ATM.
Pharmacy sucks. Totally unorganized and staff, including the full time pharmacist, are incredibly unprofessional.
Service is always poor, make you wait every time. They are not focused on the customer
Not helpful staff
The pharmacy is fine, its just really expensive.
Attitudes of pharmacy employee
The most unqualified stuff!! Run !!!
Good service
Great store!
Great!
Prescriptions always take 3-4 days and when you go get them, they’re not ready. Pharmacy techs are either great or don’t know how to tell you if your prescription has been ordered or not, then proceed to give you the incorrect pick up time so that you’ll come back and your prescription still won’t be ready. Switching to a different CVS.
Spent over 30 minutes in the drive through. Its like they are filling the scripts and checking insurance as people come to pickup. My dictor called in the medication nearly 7 hours ago, and I had to sit and wait at the window 10 more minutes for it to be counted and packaged.
