Pretty good sandwiches. Served warm on a hoagie roll. We normally get the 2 sandwich deal for $16. Whats great is you can add any ingredient you like. Oddly I didn’t get any ice cream but it looks good.

So so so so so so many different kinds of ice cream!! Personally, I got the fudge brownie ice cream sundae and it was amazing. Lots of other places brownies are usually too rich or too sweet but this place nailed it. Although for 2 people we were charged 28 dollars for what shouldve been 12 bucks according to the menu prices. So I dont know where our bill went wrong but it was good enough we might try it again and pray for proper pricing

The staff are the best; super friendly, super helpful, and glad to give out samples. On a number of occasions have gone above and beyond to ensure that we get what we want and reasons to come back. Thanks for moving in and providing delicious treats in west Olathe. This family-owned business makes their ice cream fresh. They also have a small selection of sandwiches to choose from, along with other treats. The owner is kind, friendly, and willing to have a good conversation. The kids enjoyed the ice cream!Pandemic safety is followed. There are seats, but not many.I highly recommend stopping by. Your tastebuds will thank you.

Came in for a family celebration and ordered ice cream only.The portion sizes as it pertains to ice cream are quite generous. I cannot speak to the Cafe portion, however I would assume that the portions are similarly generous.Everything was great and the building has a very nice, welcoming aesthetic.Best of all, its locally owned and operated!

Delicious ice cream! Our family enjoyed the C is for Cookie, Birthday Cake, Reeses Cup, Captains Chocolate, and Garbage Can. Truly premium ice cream! The waffle cones were only okay - Ill probably try something different next time. Excited to go back to check out the sandwiches and other menu items as well! The staff of young ladies were friendly and very helpful. Great experience overall - looking forward to our next trip!

This place is amazing!! I haven’t tried the food (I plan on it), but the Ice Cream Coffee Float is incredible and their Brownie Sundae is second to none. And the staff delivers amazing service!!I’m disappointed that I didn’t know about this place sooner. I was living less than four minutes from this location when I stumbled upon it on accident. I recently moved about 25 minutes away...and I still make the drive there. It’s worth it!

Stopped in about 9:05. There was a long line which was expected. 2 employees working, 1 was a younger girl who was in the back on the phone for the 15 minutes we waited. The young boy was frantically serving people. Left without ordering as there were 20 people ahead of us still waiting to order.

My children and I went and had lunch with a treat afterward. I ordered the Papa sandwich. The sandwich was exceptionally outstanding. Each bite that I took had me wanting more. Before I knew it, the sandwich was gone, and I was in great despair. I turned to my children, and theirs was gone too. I asked what did they think. They both replied that it was the best sandwich theyve ever had. We then went in for some ice cream. I would say that the initial feeling I had after my first taste. Was similar to a babys reaction to eating something sweet the first time—pure bliss. The only recommendation Id make to them is to drizzle a little bit of chocolate inside the bottom of their waffle cone. It would help prevent the ice cream from leaking, and its a pleasant surprise at the end. The customer service they provided was just as excellent as everything else was. Id highly recommend you visit them for lunch and of course a treat too. Thank you, Sweet Thang. Ill be coming back for more.

Cute little store. We glanced at their flavors and got some pretty good ice cream. Strawberry is very good. Staff is nice, polite and helpful. Store is clean and has interesting design choices. Not too crowded. Probably will come here again. :D

What a great little sandwich and ice cream shop! 60, yes, 60 flavors of ice cream! Some ice creams are dairy-free, so if you struggle with dairy, come and enjoy frozen treats here! The sandwiches are absolutely delicious! They have wraps, too! Warm, inviting, friendly, and fun, this is a great place to gather and enjoy a treat. I have a three-year-old grandson who NEVER eats an entire scoop of ice cream because he just doesnt care that much for it, but today he ate an entire scoop of Superman ice cream! (Yep! Thats the flavor!) You can have a bowl, a cake cone, a waffle cone, or a waffle bowl, and theres every type of topping you can imagine. Theres even a float named for one of our local coaches! So fun!!! Theres plenty of parking, so come one, come all! This place has only been open for three months as of this review, but theyve already won our loyalty because of the great food and so many flavors of ice cream! Make it a definite stop for you!

I stopped in on 03/16/20 for a sandwich and it could not have been better. Excellent choice of sandwiches, extensive list of fresh toppings, and soft hoagie buns. It was made to order at a very reasonable price. Also included chips and a pickle. Staff was very friendly and I had a nice chat with the owner, Leroy. I will definitely be coming back soon. Thanks.

Great family owned ice cream shop. They have 44 flavors on hand and rotate regularly. Staff was friendly, moved the line fast and were very attentive. Owners were even on site scoping ice cream. Place was super clean. A happy addition to the neighborhood.

Started going to this fine establishment about a year ago. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The owners remember all of the regulars. Before they opened we had to drive to east Olathe to get icecream of this calibur. I can honestly say that the price is in line with similar establishments. However, the service puts Sweet Thang head and shoulders above the rest. We will be returning as long as they are open...No need to look elsewhere.

My wife, daughters and grandchildren have recently been recommending Sweet Thang & Cafe to me with rave reviews. I was out of town when they discovered this recently opened restaurant in Olathe. Yesterday evening, my wife, a daughter and a granddaughter talked me into giving it a try. I am glad I took their recommendation.I ordered the Mama’s Big Italian sandwich, my wife and daughter had the Turkey and Cheese. My granddaughter had the Ham and Cheese. All of the sandwiches were excellent and my 3 year old granddaughter ate all of her sandwich which is a rarity. The sandwiches were accompanied by chips and a pickle.We had ice cream for dessert which was also delicious and of high quality. I was very surprised at the generous serving. I ordered a single Chocolate and Peanut Butter and the serving was the size of a large double dip! Sweet Thang has a huge selection of ice cream and were very generous in offering tastes of the different varieties.The entire staff is very friendly and courteous and very helpful. In addition, both the Cafe and the restrooms were clean.We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners. They are not only very friendly with pleasant personalities but they clearly have strong work ethics and make providing excellent service and quality meals their highest priority. We will be including this tasty and reasonably priced restaurant in our regular rotation.

Delicious ice cream in a sweet atmosphere. The ladies working behind the counter were pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable. The ice cream is delicious, far more delicious than I could accurately describe to you. Youll just have to try this scoop of heaven in a cup (or cone) for yourself.

This cafe was adorable. There were many seating options but it was not cluttered. I felt the prices were a little high but the customer service was wonderful. The staff greeted us upon entry and informed us of how things worked but we missed the info about toppings and had none. Note: The Blueberry Cheesecake flavor tasted more like blueberry icing and I was honestly dissapointed. I think this is a cute concept and could be effective with a little tweaking.

We have been to Sweet Thang For ice cream several times since it has opened and each time no matter how busy you are greeted coming in the door and thanked on your way out. No matter how busy they are, and it’s so good it is always busy, you are treated with genuine individual appreciation. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is top notch!! West Olathe needed this!! Thank you!!!

They greeted us upon entering and explained how it worked, as it was our first time there. They had a ton of flavors, staff was very friendly and patient while we made our selection. I loved that they had flavors that you don’t see everywhere. I thought it was reasonably priced. Definitely one of our new favorites!

Went in for a quick sunday afternoon lunch. Ordered a chocolate milkshake, ham & cheese sandwich with Mayo ONLY and chips. Somehow this got lost in translation in the 2 feet of air as I recieved stale chips and a sandwich with mustard only. And to top it all off the sandwich cost about $7 for very small portions. Def not worth another visit or another dime. The shake was alright but nothing to really write about. Save your money and just go to custards or dairy queen.....

Loved this place. I feel its hard to come by really good ice cream places, but this is definitely one Im adding on my favorites list. I got a scopp of ice cream in a cup, it was so delicious. Price was a little high in my opinion, but that didnt make it any less good. Staff was super nice as well. I will say, I saw they offered coffee on their menu, and I thought I would try it, but the staff didnt seem to know anything about serving coffee haha. But over all this is a great little ice cream shop. Highly recommend.
