I am an estate liquidator and have rented multiple units over the years from all different companies. The rental manager, Corrie, was very professional, helpful and informative. Availability of a unit in the size I need to conduct my business was what brought me here but good customer service is what will keep me here. I was in and out with a new unit secured in under 15 minutes including viewing the unit. Excellent!

I would give zero stars if it were possible. This could quite possibly be the worst experience I’ve ever had in renting a storage unit. Not only did they increase my rate without informing me, when I questioned this, I was told that it is company policy to increase rental rates every six months. This increase was for $10 extra a month. The manager at the time, Mark, ensured me that if my rate increased any higher, he would be able to work with me and negotiate the price down.Fast forward a short five months later, I am notified that my monthly rate will now increase by an extra $30 a month. When I mentioned the manager’s above statement, I was told that there was nothing they could do because Mark no longer worked there. Aside from the fraudulent and borderline criminal price gouging, the facility in Olive Branch, Mississippi on Commerce Drive is not providing the services that were agreed-upon in the lease. For example, Citizen Storage should be providing adequate security for all storage units at this facility, however the front gate is not closed due to being broken and awaiting repairs. In addition to this, the rear gate remains completely open for anyone to enter the property, also due to being broken.I will say that the front desk staff member that I spoke with was very professional and very understanding of my frustration. However, the owner, Peter, has been less than helpful in the situation. I have also gone through the effort of finding out who the district manager is for this particular location, Michelle, who has also been of no help in this matter.To anyone looking to rent a storage unit from this company, I strongly recommend that you go elsewhere. In my experience, Citizen Storage does not value their customer relations nor do they care about the security of their customer’s belongings. Any promotional offer that is given to new renters will be quickly offset by this company’s greed, lack of communication, and complete disregard for professionalism. I will be sharing this review in every available forum to ensure that my voice is heard and that similar experiences can be avoided by the lucky ones who have not interacted with this company yet. Please do not be the next person writing a negative review for this company and take your business elsewhere. If management would like to reach out to me to rectify this, speak with Corrie at the front desk.

I like the fact I could do everything online without even going into the office. But when I did go into the office, Corrie was very helpful. She even helped with boxes, I wasn’t expecting that

I was looking for a storage unit to rent and called multiple companies with no success. I finally called Citizen Storage and spoke with Ashley and she sold me!! Her service was top notch! She’s very friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. She offered to let me to see the unit before purchasing it to make sure the space was what I had in mind. It was an easy decision to purchase from her. The location is in a great place, and there’s security cameras all around. I definitely recommend them!

Desiree was absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end! Her professional tone and friendly manor over the phone assured me that she was knowledgeable and willing to help. When I arrived at the facility, I was met with the same welcoming assurance. She explained the rates, insurance, benefits of a climate controlled unit, the processes (move-in/move-out) and even walked with me to the unit I was leasing. With so many moving parts during this relocation, I NEEDED this to be a seamless process...and it was. In my experience, this kind of service is a rare find.

I leased a space a few weeks ago and visited again today. On both occasions Sharona was on-duty. She recognized me from my first visit and welcomed me back with a smile. I had two requests which she promptly helped me with and I was on my way. She brings a warm personal touch to the business and is a delight to work with. Keep up the good work, Sharona!
