I have slept on these mattresses for about 7 years now. I have a Cal King double nest coil mattress for my husband and I. I still love my mattress as much now as I did then. The mattress still looks virtually like new, no dips, sags or butt ruts. My husband, who is career military, is proud to say he can sleep anywhere, and although this is true, he often complains of shoulder and back discomfort in other mattresses. In fact, on a recent deployment, he purchased and took along a twin pillow topper from Berkeley Ergonomics to make his barrack bunk more comfortable. For myself, it’s hard to travel or go on vacation because I notice within an hour, the difference in breathability between my mattress and the synthetic mattresses at every hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Even paying upwards of $500 a night at a certain theme park hotel, I found myself waking overheated due to trapped humidity. I also have one of their wool filled comforters for the added breathability it provides. I will never go back to down!When we had children, we purchased twin mattresses as well as wool comforters for them (selfishly because I often end up in their beds at night). But the secondary benefit is I don’t have to worry that I am exposing them to potentially harmful chemicals while they are sleeping. I am definitely a Berkeley Ergonomics customer for life.

I love my Berkley Ergonomics mattress! As someone with chronic pain issues, my mattress has been very helpful. I get better and more restful sleep. It has a great combo of cushion and support. The mattress also helps keep my body temperature be at the best level when sleeping. Best mattress Ive ever owned!

Absolutely adore my bed. I have an eastern king and it has held up amazing over the years. I wanted a bed thats pretty firm with a bit of give and this one is the perfect solution for my husband (since he has back pain). Love the mattress cover too because of how soft it is. AND a big bonus is that when I move, Im able to take apart the mattress and fold it up like a taco. No more hassle with transporting a bulky mattress.In terms of quality, Ive owned many luxury European mattresses and by far, theirs is superior. Ive even been to the factory and the facility is phenomenal. I highly recommend their products to anyone looking for durability and top-quality materials.

After several years owning my Berkeley Ergonomics mattress, my quality of sleep has improved and continues to offer fantastic comfort. For someone who suffers from insomnia for years, this bed was exactly what I needed. Offering the ability to adjust the the foundation according to my individual pressure points, my difficulty sleeping has greatly diminished and I wake up not wanting to leave my bed in the morning! I have been able to sleep soundly without continuous need to toss and turn. The one issue is my mom likes it so much, she wants to sleep in my bed all the time 😅 I will definitely continue to be a customer at Berkeley Ergonomics!

It is almost our 4th Anniversary with our Berkeley Ergonomics bed. What a dreamy four years and it has slipped by so quickly! I can’t imagine a more perfect sleep, a bed that automatically adjusts to our bodies with its natural fibers gently cradling us. It is strong, but not hard, and doesn’t wiggle if one of us gets out of bed. A perfect fit for my husband and me. We should know. In our mid-seventies and over 50 years of marriage, we have had lots of experience with mattresses, our own and those we’ve used in travels. This is the best.

We own a Berkeley Ergonomics Mattress system with the automatic adjustable support which is very comfortable for 2 years now.You can see the difference in quality which allows my wife and myself a restful and quality sleep.Can only recommend Berkeley Ergonomics customer service and professional support.

I am an engineer and tend to overanalyze products and sales people often get frustrated or are unable to answer my questions. I was very impressed how well designed and functional Berkeley Ergonomics beds are. They explained all design features and did leave no question unanswered. The Euro flexible slat base is fantastic and the split firmness option for their mattresses a marriage saver! I am now sleeping on the firm side of the mattress while my wife has the softer side and we’re both happy campers!

My husband and I love our ergonomic system. He no longer has back pain! The only problem is that we are spoiled now and anytime we travel we are aware of the differences in the mattresses. Thank you for creating an awesome system.

I got a Posturflo top pad for my mattress and It feels wonderful. You buy those off brand mattresses that you are stuck with for years. Getting a well made top pad can add years back into you mattress. Its like putting new wheels on an old car. If a top pad feels this good, now I want a Berkeley Ergonomics Mattress set.

Super comfortable beds, Soft enough to lay on without sheets, if necessary. Quilted top is lightweight and breathes well. Pillows are a huge help with my sons allergies. I would highly recommend these products.

I have been a fan of Berkeley Ergonomics products for going on 8 years now. Both of my childrens cribs had Berkeley Ergonomics mattresses, now their beds do. You can really feel the quality difference compared to mass market products. My wife and I now sleep on a Berkeley Ergonomics bed that reclines on both the feet and head areas. I have sleep apnea and having this feature has been life changing for me. They took the time to demonstrate to me what happens to your body as its lying flat vs. at a slight incline and how that would benefit my health. Sleeping on this new bed allows me to breath so much easier, I have much more lung capacity and more a person that uses a CPAP machine it is life changing. I can feel a difference in my days because of my quality of sleep. They also have amazing pillows, I never knew there were options. I now have a wool pillow, I love it, it stays nice and cool on BOTH sides. Cant say enough about this organization, they are experts in the science of sleep.

I dont like traveling anymore because my BE bed and pillows are so comfortable I miss my bed. I will never buy a bed from anywhere else. Absolutely the best Ive ever owned.

I have found my mattress remarkably comfortable and worth every penny, the mattress has both a firm half and a soft half allowing options for optimum comfort. The foundation provides a incredible range of alternative adjustment settings insuring that I fall asleep with ease.

Best mattress I have owned. My husband has Multiple Myeloma and has suffered broken hips, ribs and arms. He was miserable on our old mattress. After investigating different mattresses we decided upon a Berkeley Ergonomic bed. . There have been times when he was bed ridden for a months at a time. Ive never put much effort or thought into mattresses, having slept on futons and couches when I was younger. More recently, Ive noticed back pains with the fairly good mattress I had, and so after getting some recommendations, got a Berkeley Ergonomics queen bed mattress.I was honestly surprised how much this improved my sleep. Not only do I sleep much better, I also feel refreshed and active in the morning, and I used to hate getting up. Ive not experienced back pain since getting the new mattress either.Considering how much it improved my quality of sleep, I can only recommend it.

My husband and I own a Berkeley Ergonomics mattress and it is unbelievable! We spent one year shopping for a new mattress, and during that time we actually purchased three mattresses by different manufacturers, which were all returned for reasons related to quality or comfort. We finally discovered Berkeley Ergonomics and decided to purchase the Alpine mattress. Its amazing! Some nice features include:1. You can choose between a softer or firmer latex layer as the top layer of your mattress. You do not have to have the same layer on the left and right side, making the mattress a little bit customizable.2. There are no flame retardants in this mattress. It is made of naturally flame resistant materials. This is the only mattress company Ive encountered that is transparent about what their mattresses are made of. So refreshing!3. There is no off-gassing.4. Price. We previously purchased a tempurpedic mattress, which was so disappointing and uncomfortable. It was also twice the price of our Alpine mattress.5. Berkeley Ergonomics mattresses, as far as I can tell, are not sold at mattress stores like Sleepys or Mattress Firm, which is fantastic, because those stores are an over-priced nightmare to shop in.6. Latex is nice and responsive. You dont sink into it or feel stuck in one place, as I felt while sleeping on memory foam. It has a bouncy and forgiving feel.7. Wool: I love that theres wool in this mattress. Wool is basically natures miracle material. Wool stays clean, is flame resistant, and is highly breathable.I realise that I probably sound like I work for the company, but I dont! I just really like this mattress!

I totally regret buying my Berkeley Ergonomic coil mattresses.Turns out it contains a lot of synthetic Polypropylene which was a shock because the sales man told me the mattress was all organic, and made with all natural materials which I now realize is untrue.I feel badly for people who think they are getting a mattress that is an organic mattress, chemical free, free of synthetics or all natural, because Berkeley coil mattresses are none of these things.Berkeley Ergo claims Im a competitor (or paid by a competitor), but this is untrue as well. Berkeley Ergo calls me a troll, fool, mocks me and insults me. Isnt that lovely? I very much wish I had NOT bought my Berkeley Ergo mattress for MANY reasons. My review is based on my consumer experience with my Berkeley mattress, the staff at Berkeley Ergonomics in Ontario, and their dealers.In regards to the comfort & durability of my Berkeley mattress;1. My bed is HOT! I assume do to the LARGE amount of VERY thick wool quilting SO close to my body. I will never buy a bed with THICK QUILTING again, especially when its packed with wool!2. It is NOT durable. For example, I could never let a child jump up and down on it, like we used to do when we were kids. The bed seems FAR to fragile. I feel like I have to baby it.3. When I sit on the edge, I sink WAY down I assume because of the lack of support on the sides.4. Because there is no tension in the mattress layers like most beds, this bed seems loosy-goosy and mushy.5. I dont think 2 of latex is enough to just lay loosely over springs. It reminds me of something you would get at Ikea. Very simple and minimal with no frills.6. It seems mushy, worn out, and sad after having it only a short time.7. The mattress is very saggy and loose on the top and even on the sides.I think its misleading for Berkeley & their dealers to call the mattress an All natural mattress, Organic mattress, Natural and Organic mattress and alike when the product contains so much non-natural synthetic Polypropylene, and there are chemicals in the latex (23 Chemicals in the latex in my Berkeley mattress) as per the Radium foam Material Health Certificate. I have a copy if anyone would like to see it.I think Berkeley Ergo needs to better manage & direct their dealers because I was mislead and I am confident I am not the only one. I see many reviews where other consumers refer to their Berkeley mattress as their organic mattress, or their all natural mattress which they are neither.I also think the synthetic Polypropylene material should be listed when the other components are being listed so consumers can have ALL the information. I am unclear why there is SO much resistance to list the synthetic Polypropylene when the other materials are listed.Berkeley Ergo employees also leave biased reviews on line so watch out for them as clearly they are not your average, neutral consumer. For example, the review here by Cynthia Jolivet, she is a Berkeley Ergonomics employee as per the Berkeley web site. I also see another potentially biased review here from Joseph Nosrat. I wonder if he is a relative of Katherine Nosrat another Berkeley employee also as per the Berkeley Ergo web site?On Facebook there are 3 employee reviews (Phillip P., Annika H., and Cynthia J.), and a dealers wife, Margery K. They all left 5 star reviews, of course.Berkeley Ergo has been successful in having my reviews and photos of MY Berkeley mattress removed from several places on the internet yet they claim they strive to operate a business successfully with no compromises on truth, ethics, integrity, & fairness. LOL. What a joke!The next bed I buy will be all latex with the thinnest, most stretchy top fabric I can find with NO THICK QUILTING and no wool, no way.

Note - I am not rating the manufacturer or the retail but the bed itself.We spent over $3K in total assuming wed step up from our usual cheaper mattresses. The units appear to be well built - but it was not comfortable from day one. We went through all the ins and outs such as trying a softer pad (from the manufacturer) adjusting the slats, removing the slats, etc.We went to our retailers (Fly by Night, Northampton) where they attempt to show you how to adjust the slats for comfort. This was a big joke! The employee told us stuff like well, you are a inch too low toward the footboard - move up - as if a bed is designed to only be comfortable when you are within a inch!There are no money-back guarantees on these as with other mattresses...and, of course, they keep telling you that you have to break it in so even when we complained we were told it would get better.It never did. We not only wasted the 3K - but a lot of aching nights.We have another house and a 2nd bedroom where we have beds to compare it to. Both our IKEA and our generic firm are far superior and we wake up refreshed instead of sore.If IKEA, Casper and every other mattress these days can guarantee satisfaction...youd surely think a $3K model could.Oh, well, our mistake. Dont let it be yours. Be very sure you want to live with it before forking over your hard earned money. We are sorry that we believed the hype.
