Halifax flooring did a fantastic job! My clients needed new carpet fast and Zach made it happen. Some how he rounded up the installers and material and they got it done...and for a great price too! Everyone was great to work with and super nice. I highly recommend you check them out.

Really disappointed with Halifax. They made NUMEROUS mistakes in our bid causing a LOT of problems. The bidder didnt include our entire basement so when carpet install day came, Halifax called and said it would be and extra $1,000 for two small rooms and a small hall. We were very thorough with the bidder on what we needed and wanted priced out, but He created a lot of problems for us not doing what he was supposed to. We were assured everything was taken care of, but it wasnt.Halifax ended up changing the plan for our vinyl flooring to avoid the labor of ripping out tile. AGAIN, mistake in the quote so we had to pay more either for subfloor or more labor to rip out tile. Either way, we were paying more money. The contractor was very good at communicating, but Halifax was not.Halifax didnt communicate well with a plumber to coordinate lifting a sink to install vinyl under. During install day, I had to call and arrange things so that they wouldnt cut the vinyl floor around the sink. I had to basically babysit Halifax to do their job. I never knew if what they were telling me would change at some point, because it did frequently.The contractors they hired to actually do the work were awesome, hence two stars instead of one. Halifax tried to help things get better, but we had an awful experience.

I had really high hopes for these guys. My builder used Halifax when I built my home. I had a huge flood in my basement. I needed a lot of flooring replaced. I thought if my builder used them they must be great. Im regretting it. Everything from the estimators not showing up at my home, to me showing up for an appointment in the showroom and the salesperson is not there, to choosing carpet only to find out two weeks later its discontinued, to rescheduling my install 3 times, to installing my tile from 9 pm to 1 in the morning, putting holes in my walls, not having enough carpet for a reinstall that they measured and the list goes on. I voiced my concerns and gave them a chance to address some of my issues. Pretty much got crickets. They are super quick to ask you to pay the invoices however. Out of every contractor that I used on my rebuild this contractor was by far the most frustrating. Sad!! I wanted to give them a great review, but I would be lying if I told you it was a good experience.

These guys helped us find a product that fit our budget and worked with our space, they were super accommodating and so helpful! They had answers to all of our questions and we left with a product we were super happy with. We also went to their LVP installation class and its clear they know their stuff. Thanks guys!

They were very quick to get my estimate and get the carpet installed. The price was also great. However i feel a little annoyed with the install. They didn’t clean up when they were done. I tried to vacuum and there was so much small scrap that it broke my vacuum and yes i did pick up all the pieces i could see. There were carpet nails all over the floor. I understand that you have to pay to move furniture, but i moved everything i possibly could. There was no space left to move furniture. I had a ming size bed and dresser in one room and the frame of a crib in another room. I got charged 48 per room. I would understand if they charged one room, but for 2 I’m annoyed. We also asked if they could fix the squeaky floor underneath before laying new carpet and they said yes. I said i could have my father do it, but they said they would and then didn’t, now the new carpet is Dow and we can’t fix it. The install itself is what I’m not happy about.

After searching several stores for a carpet remnant, an associate texted me a photo of one that i loved. I came in to see it and it was on the second shelf up and wrapped in plastic. i turned down the corner and loved the color so i purchased it. I took it to a rug binding company to be turned into a rug. Upon picking it up....the rug company told me that it was 76 instead of the 8ft written on the packaging. Frustrating that it was shorter than i had planned for. She then informed me that it was used carpet . When they were binding it, not only did they see tack marks but rusty tack marks. I asked them if it was wrong of me to assume that if i was buying a remnant, most places are selling you brand new excess carpet from installs. She said, no, that is absolutely the case, and it was weird that Halifax sold me used carpet without telling me. I took my newly bound rug home, rolled it out and sure enough, there are some light stains already. Im appalled by such shady business practices. I will never ever recommend Halifax to anyone.

They spam sale messages to your cellphone even if youve never had a relationship or bought anything from them. They are the new extended warranty spammers.

Quoting process: The estimators knew their stuff, but never showed up on time and did not communicate if they would be late. The quote wasnt accurate and needed some revision, which is normal, except that the sales person was so incredibly unresponsive that I started shopping around for other companies. I asked to have my account moved to a different sales rep, but they also became unresponsive.Install: We scheduled for Monday at 9am. Nobody showed, they did not call or let us know, we had to call them at the end of the day and they rescheduled for Tuesday at noon. An installer shows up Tuesday at 5pm, but doesnt have materials. He just looks at the bathroom and we reschedule for 8am sharp Wednesday morning. Here we are, Wednesday at noon and its a brand new group of people who have never seen the bathroom before. We are starting from scratch going over the designs. They did not communicate any of their tardiness or the fact that a stranger who was not wearing a Halifax uniform would be showing up at my house.Their lack of communication and their inability to keep any of their commitments is extremely unprofessional. Youd think for the money it costs that they would try to make this a better customer experience, but its apparent that is not important to the people at Halifax.Update: Now Halifax is standing in my driveway with the new installer negotiating price. Apparently the installer doesnt want to do the job for the price Halifax is offering him. Super professional. Meanwhile my designer is standing around for the 3rd day waiting for them to actually start the install. This has been a huge time sink and there hasnt been any work done yet.Update 2: After a 15 minute negotiation in my driveway, the installer walked away. With no available installers to start the job, and 3 days wasted waiting for them to show up, I cancelled the job and am expecting a refund or will file a BBB complaint.

Such great service and communication with Halifax and all of the people who work there. Annette was the best to work with and we really appreciated all of her efforts to go above and beyond to help us get our job done as well as a few of the other projects that came afterwards.

Ive dealt with Halifax twice now and both times the experience has been horrific. We first purchased carpet from them 2 years ago when we moved into our home. It started out pretty normal, but everything was extremely slow. Then when it was time to install the carpet, the installer delayed almost a week, after confirming a time and then no-showing, then confirming then no-showing. We had to delay moving into our new home several days due to the issue. We then needed carpet in the basement and the only reason I continued with the same company is because they had the matching carpet. We emailed them and didnt get a response for 2 weeks. I finally called and got some preliminary numbers and we payed a downpayment. It then took 2 weeks, and we hadnt heard anything from them. I called again, and they said, oh the carpet came in a few days ago, no one called you... Of course they didnt call me. I then asked to be scheduled and gave them 5 or 6 days of options for the installation. A few days went by and I hadnt heard anything. I called and they said, oh you are scheduled for Tuesday, did you not get an email. Of course I didnt. Then Tuesday came and the installer was supposed to be here between 8-10 AM. I get a text from him at 1 PM saying, Im finishing a job and will be there in 2 hours. 4:45 rolls around and I get a text saying, he was at the wrong address, which was a mistake they had already made once, and I had called twice to confirm they had the right address. All in all, even in construction, the communication and logistics has been terrible and I will not be doing business with Halifax any time soon.

Halifax Flooring helped me match some old vinyl flooring to make a repair. I came in with a part number, and 10 days later I walked out with exactly what I needed. I was really lucky that the supplier still made the flooring, but Rhonda worked with the vendor to get what I needed. She updated me by telephone throughout the process, and provided great customer service. I couldnt be happier. Thanks!!

Took a friend to Halifax at the end of the day. Annette was amazing! She took a huge amount of time going over options. Selection was a little overwhelming due to the amount of product. It was nice to have someone guide us to what would be best for us.

Halifax installed a travertine style porcelain tile in October 2017 on the entire first floor, about 2200 sq ft. Existing tile was removed from an entryway and two bathrooms. Took about 10 days to completely finish.We love the finished look. All went great. I would recommend.

The products we received from Halifax were great and their customer service in the beginning was wonderful...then something changed, they took four weeks longer than expected and their guys were late a lot, none of them called to let us know when they were coming. They didnt clean up their messes and we had to have a few tiles redone because of their carelessness. When I asked about the quality of their work, they said they save their best guys for bigger jobs. :( In the end we got what we wanted, but it took a lot of work on our side by bugging them and I am still cleaning up after them.

What an awful business model. Was referred to them by a coworker that knew Ben personally. Nothing has gone smoothly and at this point we still havent gotten carpet because of their lack of service. We have been in communications with them for nearly 4 months.First of all they never called us to set up and appointment to get the square footage. I had to call and ask when they would come out. Then they did not come during their scheduled time.Second, they then never emailed the estimate and upon giving them the emails a second time, they still only sent it to me and not the landlord. They then told us they had lost our estimate and they would need to measure again. Which they never did but when I called to make an appointment for another visit they said they has found it.About midway through asked for an additional room to be estimated and they never got back to me to schedule a time to come measure. They still have not asked to come measure it. At this point Im not going to have them measure.When they finally did give us the estimate they gave us the wrong carpet type that the landlord had authorized. When asking for a new estimate with the correct carpet type they then gave us an increased amount per foot. When they already quoted us cheaper. SO FRUSTRATING.We provided the original cost of carpet price and asked again for the total estimate (carpet & install) and they again gave us a 3rd different quotation.They NEVER return calls and they have just been flat out HORRIBLE to work with.When

Worst customer service ever. Could not get anyone to call me back. Even went into the store and no one could help me. If you like bad service then shop here. If you want good service then avoid this place.

Flooring is a tough business and its hard to find people that will work with you and help you understand all the stuff that goes into it. It was very overwhelming to get carpet and tile but Ben was super helpful and helped me walk away like i wasnt missing something.

My experiences with Halifax Flooring were very hit-and-miss. During our home remodel, we visited the store several times. Sometimes they were really friendly and helpful. Other times, not so much. We purchased some tiles from them and had to return them (unopened boxes), which they put up a fuss about but ultimately accepted. They also seem pretty disorganized. I didnt have any nightmarish experiences with them, but there are enough flooring companies out there that I dont plan to go back to Halifax.

Best selection for tile and hardwood flooring ive seen

Youll want to plan extra time and be aware that not all installers are created equal. Both my sisters and I had carpet and vinyl going into each of our house before we moved things in. All of us received a call the day before asking if we could push the install back. We had installers at our house until 8 the night before we moved in. And they were finishing up the next day as we moved in. Sadly the stair nose on the lvt in our kitchen as not installed correctly and it took FOUR months to get them back out (and lots of calling on my part). And sad news is that the problem is still not fixed. And about an hour after the installer left, i found peices left on my front lawn and had to try finishing reinstalling part of the railing myself. Very frustrated! While they were good to work with at first, its been a nightmare getting it right. Hope it doesnt take another four months too fix. No longer recomending family or friends. :(

Terrible company to work with has no quality control what so ever. Had there laminate flooring put in a brand new home and didn’t last more then a month. Wouldn’t recommend buying or even dealing with these people such a joke.
