Read the fine print. Otherwise you will end up with a 3 year and expensive contract for monitoring like I did even though I specifically told them I dont need monitoring. Very sly salesmen.

Not a great service for me, overrated is a fact, might be a good service for those with home but for me living in a private apartment areas, just a waste of my income, glad I done with them, peace

Spoke to James and he was Amazing. Due to my mom needing a quote, James answered all questions perfectly. We were looking to get service rather quickly, and our relative owns the home. I expressed this to James, that our relative would be available in person in 2 weeks, but I was calling for my mom who lives solely in the home. Due to him not being sure, he asked if his Manager could assist. Up until this point I would have given this company 4-5 stars. The Manager John came on the phone and I shared the same information. John then goes over a barrage of sales techniques in saying he is saving me this in fees etc. I wasn’t really impressed, because James had done his job well and already landed our business. My role in all of this was to get the information, write it down for my senior mother in her 70’s. So when it came to scheduling the Appt. I explained that I was passing the phone to the tenant/my mother. Immediately he gets my mom on the phone and ask if he could run her credit, began being rude, questioned her 3 times and my mom nicely passed me the phone. John all of a sudden had ”salesman amnesia” and when I asked him for clarity what was misunderstood on his part after speaking with his company for 32 minutes, he states his true intentions of trying to get my mother to be the account holder, which we made it clear that this wouldn’t occur, because this is not her property and she has her own properties to govern. You guys have great reviews and I can see why, until John came into the picture with his less than stellar manipulative tactics.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I recently moved into my apartment but its a house turned apartment on the main level so I really wanted to get a great security system to help protect me and my two little ones so I decided to get “ADT” I know someon who has ADT and I used to have it myself when I was little so I figured they wouldn’t be a bad pick. However, what I didn’t know is that I wasn’t getting ADT but Blue by ADT which was not explained to me at all. Then, when I was speaking to the ADT rep I asked for a Ring doorbell because I don’t have a doorbell. We bothe specifically said ring several times but wheb my package arrived it was a Blue by ADT doorbell which is not only NOT waht I asked for, but he failed to mention that it is not battery operated but had to be hardwired to my existing doorbell which I said I DIDN’T have ! (PS I didn’t find any of this out until I got my package and opened it. I was so excited to be starting up my home “security”) So after this I called ADT then was told I don’t have ADT but Blue by ADT and the information about the Blue doorbell. Not only did the rep. not try to do anything for my inconvenience, but she told be I would have to pay for a technician for my doorbell like $200 I was upset but my grandpa had already started setting up my “security” system so She decided to have me send the camera back and keep the system (I had to buy my ring doorbell from best buy they didn’t even offer it) Nothing was done or said about the misinformation i got nor about my terrible experience even after I asked what were they gonna do because it was such a horrible experience so far I was only apologized to. So ok fine i go to leave my home the next day and I set the alarm to away. As I am on my way to work the burglery alarm goes off so I had to turn around and go all the way back home to discover nothing was worng at all I dont have oets or anything my sensor is high up like it’s supposed to be so i leave again and do the same thing and the same thing happens. At this point, I’m super frustrated and I just wanna cry because what I was so excited about turned out to be my biggest frustration. I called to cancel the service and send all the stuff back I explained to the ADT rep everything I had been through with the service and how I just wanted to cry because nothing good came from it but the lady wouldn’t let me cancle she just said she would send me a new sensor and apologized. I clearly wasn’t satisfied but she still ended the call. Also, my little keychain remote doesn’t work! surprise surprise. When I told the rep this she explained to me how to connect it which I already knew because it was in the instructions but I redid everything with her over the phone and it still didn’t work all she said was I have to call the tech department she was gonna transfer me but at this point I was so livid with everything and how my frustration was over looked I couldn’t talk to anyone else. Now I feel like im stuck with this system and I don’t feel safe, I don’t feel secure/protected at all, and I definitely don’t feel like a valued “ADT” customer. I would never recommend this company nor this experience for anyone!!! I was truly dissapointed.

The installing technician was very courteous and professional throughout the installation of the ADT security system. He was also explanatory of all of the options available on the service. After completion, he spent time making sure my wife and I understood how everything operates.

Tony (our technician who removed the equipment from our old home, and installed it into our new home) was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing, and was thorough in ensuring that all of our needs were being met. Tony also introduced us to the ADT Pulse app, which weve found to be very useful. We are very happy that weve continued our service with ADT. The only issue that came up was that our setup was supposed to include both a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector (based on our initial call with customer service). We had to call back afterwards to have a second technician come out to install these, and it took a bit of time during the call to get everything clarified.

It was a great experience. Our technician was friendly, informative and just overall caring. Made sure we were not only protected but that we were happy and familiar with everything and how it worked.. An awesome experience!

The security system was installed on 9/14/19. The system failed on 9/15/19. The back door sensor is not working. I called on 9/15/19 and spoke to an agent who told me someone would come out today, 9/16/19. She advised me to call this morning to schedule an appointment because the schedule wasn’t open on Sunday. When I called today, I got the run around. I was transferred several times to different departments. After being on the phone for hours of going back and forth, I became frustrated and decided to cancel. This process proved to be even worse than trying to schedule service. The agent named Kesha was very unprofessional and actually refused to transfer me to a manager and eventually hung up on me. I finally reached someone who said in order to cancel, we have to fax over paperwork. This experience has been awful. If I could give zero stars I would.UPDATE: they fixed the problem with the back door and gave us a credit for our inconvenience. The system is working great now.

Servicemen were early which was great!! I didnt have to wait on anyone. The installation went without any problems. They explained the features, made recommendations, and if I didnt particularly want a certain item there was no sales pressure.

Customer service was beyond horrible. The nasty attitudes were horrific, and I was transferred back and forth over 2 hours ultimately not getting a resolve. There were numerous hidden fees and after only a week of service, they charge a 75% cancellation fee! I would not recommend anyone to go through “DEFENDERS” (Protect your home) or ADT for service.
