I own a 1999 rusty old Plymouth and drove it over 1,400 miles in July when I moved here to Orlando from Omaha! My beater made it but has had two strange issues arise. I googled local mechanics near me and found C&H. It was one of the very best decisions I have ever made for car repair! Scott and his brother and their nephew agreed to fix my car both times with great care and expertise! Understanding that times are tough with Covid and my being unemployed, Scott agreed to fix my car for a negotiated reasonable price and he certainly did it with compassion in his heart! I tried the auto stores until a friend suggested I stop just changing parts and get someone to actually fix my car. They suggested I go to C&H Garage even though I live on the other side of town.Jeff, the owner and master technician, confirmed that my alternator was out and that the reason it failed and would fail again was that the valve gaskets were leaking onto it and shorting it out. They fixed it all and, according to Google at about 70% of what it should have cost.This family run business is run with pride and honor. I will return whenever my cars need service. Thank you.

Benn here many times and Ive always been very happy with not only the quality of the work but the timeliness of it as well. Its the only shop I use for any repairs above an oil change.

Job done right however communication needs to be much better. I had to call them twice to get an update and find out what’s going on. They ordered the parts and were working on it before even calling me to see if I wanted them to go ahead and do it. Good thing I wanted them to! LOL

I was very concerned with my Lexus, I went to multiple mechanics and no one could solve the problem. Theses guys found the problem in no time. Their service was amazing and I appreciated the honesty when I spoke with the master mechanic.

Ive been coming here since 1985 and have never failed to receive respectful, friendly, courteous service. The owners are present and involved in every job, with constant oversight and suggestions. This is simply the best garage in America. They do the job correctly they do it for a very reasonable price and it will accommodate and help anyone. If every small business in America stuck to the hard work and Fair trade practices seen here the whole country would be a lot better off.

Can you imagine, a family owned and operated garage that has been around, and in the same location, longer than I have been alive. Need it done fast? I hardly had time to walk over to Target and back before they were done with my oil change and rotated/balanced tires. Need a ball-park over the phone, theyll give it to you. And, they got it done fast and for less than they said it was going to cost. Honest, affordable, friendly and reliable. Every time! I recommend them to everyone!

These guys nailed it every time... Its very hard to find honest mechanics and Im glad to say Ive been using them for years. Many times Ive brought my vehicle in to them thinking the problem was a much more expensive issue than it was. Any other mechanic would have taken advantage of that preconceived notion and left you in the dark then over charged for it. Scott, Jeff, and Logan are very straightforward and will set you straight - glad to do business with them and Im sure you will be happy with them too.

When I first started going to them because they were recommended by acoworker of mine, his dad was a certified mechanic. I took my car to C&H to get my steering column repaired, there was a disagreement about what they should deduct and my payment, first they said my deductible was $100.00 which it was, and $32.00 was taxes that I would have to pay, I said let me call TOCO by the time I had walked around the corner from the shop literally 1 1/2 blocks my OOP payment had dropped by 1/2. but had been told that it would take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours for repair, I informed them that I was in the area so they were going to try to get it done quicker, my inner gut told me to go there then, when I showed up it was as though they had seen a ghost. Today I figured out why, am waiting for the glass company to come out and tell me about how my windshield molding had gotten loose when it was professionally put in after Thanksgiving !!!!! This should be really interesting. Whether I will continue to get my car serviced there I DO NO KNOW. Listen you rather charge me $7.99 for a part that the insurance was going to send you that only cost $1.00, informing me that while rubbing elbows with Insurance company you care Nothing about your customer of a different ethnic persuasion. But it is all good.

Finally found what the problem was with the front end on my 97 Honda. Logan great job and so thankful.

I took my jeep here after it began misfiring. Everyone in the garage was incredibly nice, helpful, and welcoming. After evaluating my car they determined it was most likely the spark plugs causing the problem. They charged a fair price and worked quickly and efficiently. After picking up my car my engine light turned on (most likely from the older problem), so I called an left a voicemail at the shop, due to the shop being closed for the weekend, letting them know I would be in again Monday. With in the hour Jeff reached out to me over text and call from his personal phone to make sure me and the car were ok. This was my first experience with this shop and the pricing and work done, along with the care and compassion for the customer goes above and beyond any other garage I have ever gone to!

Best Mechanic Shop Ever!

******TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS******Came to them to inspect my air conditioning on a referral from my primary mechanic. They told my mechanic to send me over and they would inspect it right away. When I arrived things went downhill immediately. Instead of inspecting the vehicle as promised, they said they needed at least 2 to 3 hours just to look at it. Since i already took the time to take it to them, i reluctantly agreed and took a lyft home. Over 4 hours later, at 4:45 p.m. I had still not received a call, so i called them since theyd be closing soon. When they answered they had no explanation other than were really busy, we didnt get to it. Furthermore, they had no intention of inspecting it at all at this point even though this was their error. I had to press them to inspect it before they closed so that my day wouldnt be an entire waste. I took a lyft back to the shop and asked for their estimate. Can you guess what happened next? Thats right, they were unwilling to dedicate 5 minutes to write up an estimate and said they could just email it the following morning.Now it gets even better. They tried to hand me a bill for $106.00! I repeat, A BILL! They said that was the cost of their inspection. Specifically, $4.49 for parts, and $95.00 for labor. There wasnt even an hour remaining till they closed when i called. Let me be clear, at no time was i presented with a verbal explanation or any kind of written documentation upon my original arrival, nothing. When i questioned them about this fact they said this was standard practice and that i owed them. This was said in front of Melanie Connaster, (answers the phone), and her husband Jeff Connaster, (company president). Melanie played good cop in this scenario when she timidly handed me the invoice. I explained that none of this was explained verbally or in writing when i first arrived, and that this bill was bogus. Jeff said he would do me a favor and waive the fee this time.... Keep in mind, i still dont have an estimate, just a bill. They were unwilling after all of this to provide me a written estimate and suggested i leave my email so they could send it to me in the morning.The following morning i check my email, no estimate. I wait for a few hours after they opened, still no estimate, so i call just before lunch. Melanie answers the phone and says she still hasnt prepared it and passes the phone off to Jeff. He quickly rambles off different parts and prices and ballparks it around $1300.00 to $1400.00. I said i would consider it and ended the call, still with no actual written estimate. They insisted that the major issue at hand was that the a.c. compressor needed to be replaced, among other parts as well. So i decided to take it to be inspected at Honda Pro Parts and Service off of Goldenrod. I arrived, explained my experience with C&H, and asked if they could inspect and provide a written estimate. They said no problem, and immediately inspected my a.c. system.I waited for approximately 25 minutes and they returned with a written estimate and thorough explanation. They began by saying that my compressor did NOT need to be replaced, and all i needed was a new.....Condenser $90.00Expansion Valve $30.00A.C. Charge $65.00Labor $297.50Total with tax........ $513.86Will C & H try to spin this, who knows; but this was my experience with them, and in my opinion, there is no way to legitimize this kind of treatment.P.T. Barnum said that theres a sucker born every minute.Will you be one?
