Just way too much fun! Ive had my CraigCat for a little over one month now, and its the best ever. I love kayaking, and this boat gives you the sensation of being in a kayak but with the ability to go great distances. It doesnt draft much water, so you can get to places bigger boats cant. Weve found so many remote islands that are great for fishing and diving. Its like a Jeep for the water!Its super solid on the waves, with no flexing at all. Its easy to clean, and handles effortlessly. The joy stick steering is exceptional. Almost all boats will pull hard to one side if you let go with your steering hand -- not this one. You can let go of the joy stick, even while turning, and it holds its course, so you wont fight the motor torque all day -- great design!The gas mileage is exceptional. I have the 30hp Evinrude, and you can definitely run all day on six gallons. The map below was my most recent round trip from Key Biscayne to North Key Largo with two people on board -- plus Captain Rosco! We left at 8am and returned at 6pm -- all on five gallons. Ive also done two long trips on the ICW on less than two gallons. Youll definitely run out of light before you run out of gas.The bimini top is a great plus. Ive never used them on previous boats, as theyre a pain to snap to the windows, and then its difficult to see when you must look through a windshield full of salt spray. Just pull this one forward and clip, and it greatly cuts down on the hot Florida sun.Its also great for fishing. You can stand on one of the pontoons, and the boat wont tip to the side.The boat and trailer weigh less than 800 pounds total, so it tows beautifully. Youll forget its back there. Its so light that I can manually wheel it in and out of the garage.Its the coolest ride on the water -- but its not just my opinion. Youll get stopped at every dock, red light, gas station, and waterfront restaurant with people asking about the boat and asking to take photos. I even had someone exit the highway and follow me to a red light to ask what kind of boat it is. Youll get honks, waves, cheers, and thumbs up while on the road, and youll get people waving you down from the shoreline to ask about it.I have absolutely no regrets about this boat, and if it were to get stolen, Id replace it with the identical one without a second thought. I just cant say enough good things about it. So if youre still thinking about buying one, get off the fence -- and on the water! You wont regret it.

ABOVE AND BEYOND 5 STARS!My wife and I recently retired after 25 years of teaching high school, and we went searching for a boat. My wife came across a Craigcat tour of the Indian River on the internet, and we booked it right away. We went out in rainy weather with a slight chop across the Intercoastal, and the Craigcat performed awesome. It just flat out flies across the water! We knew right away we had to have one. After visiting their website, we saw the Tahitian 25th Anniversary model, and knew that was the one. We called Craigcat, and unfortunately, the Tahitian 25th Anniversary was in 2018. At this same time we found and bought a 2018 Tahitian model out in Texas with less than 20 hours on the motor.On our way back from Texas everywhere we stopped people would ask questions, and some would take pictures. It took us a half hour to get out of a Walmart parking lot! It seems that once you see one, you immediately want to ride on one.As we were going through Orlando, we stopped at the Craigcat dealer and met Eric Craig and Taylor. Even though we had not purchased our Craigcat from them, they treated us like we were their most valued customer. They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They took the time to answer our questions, and give advice. We never felt like we were not important. Im sure we were there over an hour or more. We left feeling like we had just made new friends who were passionate about the craft that they produce, and willing to share their expertise with anyone. Thank you both for all your help. You guys are awesome! Eric, thanks for the Craigcat hats. I lost mine on our second voyage on the Peace River, so I would like to order another one if I can. We love our Craigcat, and cant wait to get back on the water.

We picked up 2 commercial cats this weekend to rent out. Eric accommodated my custom build and finished build before anticipated due date. Pick-up was great. We had an excellent walk through and every thing was delivered as promised. Spent the weekend in Jacksonville water testing before returning to Georgia. Performance exceeded expectation.

I absolutely love my Craig Cat. I purchased mine during the happier new year sales event and I couldnt be more happy. I saved a few grand for a fully loaded Catch-It and received a free trailer as well as a 10 year extended warranty on my Evinrude engine. The boat has preformed so well and getting it in and out of the water is a breeze. Extremely stable, I go out fishing early morning with my dog and it has no problem with balance. The sales staff was more then flexible with extra accessories

My family and I were recently coming back from a vacation and seen a CraigCat on display at the Orlando International Airport. This wasnt the first encounter we have had with these boats. It was a reminder how much we were interested in them! So we called up Craig Cat to see if we can stop by the show room and get some more information. They said they welcome us to stop by & that they also offer test rides! So the following weekend we went in and spoke with Erik Craig. He was extremely helpful and informative. He got us out on the water and for a ride, and within a few moments of that boat ride, I was sold. The cost and ease of access of the boat make it true that this boat is the boat that we will end up using the most! With little maintenance and a boasting 10 year warranty on the engine we couldnt be more happy with the decision of the E2 ELITE Tahitian Model. Maybe in a few years we will get another one for our children to enjoy!

We received our CraigCat on Sunday 10/16/16. Boat was supposed to be delivered on Saturday but because of all the road closures in NC post hurricane Andrew, we got it on Sunday. Erik Craig delivered the boat himself and even with all his long hours on the road, he was the nicest person ever. Pleasant and mannerly. Erik took time to give my wife and I a tutorial on the the boat, motor and trailer, its use and maintenance. Registering the trailer took longer than the purchasing, but we were able to contact the staff with one phone call and no wait for extra paper work. The staff was helpful and understanding. This was our first boat and first trailer. The boat was easy to launch. The ride was everything we expected and more! The videos on YouTube come short of capturing the excitement of driving and being in the boat in the water. So much fun! Made us proud to order from a company like CraigCat everything is high quality and designed and built in the USA! No hype just really great product! Could write on forever, would recommend this to everyone! Awesome company!

I live in Wisconsin and the first time I drove a Craig Cat was on vacation in Florida. I will tell you it was an absolute blast. I was so impressed. When I got back I order a new Tahitian model. Due to Wisconsin weather I did not get a chance to use it until May. I ordered mine with the kicker speakers and the cooler wings. When I got it out, what a great time. Fun to drive, comfortable to be on for hours. It is probably the most fun you will have with your clothes on. Wife loved it. Bud and Eric were great to deal with. Great communication, answered all my questions, and delivered a great product. If you want to put fun back in your boating, I highly recommend a Craig Cat.

I stopped in today and talked (at some length) to Bob about possibly purchasing a Craig cat. I found him to be down to earth and relatable. I’m an average guy with an average job and found his honesty and frankness admirable. Still considering the purchase, will do a test drive first if I make my up mind to purchase. I am a Florida native growing up in Orlando, but moved slightly North to get out of the city, but believe in supporting local, American owned business as much as possible. Let the stuck up preppies go some where else.

Recently purchased a used 2013 Catch it model from the Orlando office.Eriks knowledge and accommodating attitude was a breath of fresh air. We have owned our CraigCat for two years. The ease of towing the boat allows us to use it in New York in the summer and Florida in the winter. The boat barely impacts the gas mileage of our Honda Odyssey. The convenience of taking the boat north and south has eliminated the need for additional watercraft. Whether we on plane with the wind in our face, out exploring new waterways, or just a pleasant ride in the evening the CraigCat is perfect. Wherever we are, be it the Withlacoochee or Silver River in Florida, or enjoying Lake Champlain or the Finger Lakes in New York, our CraigCat E2 Elite makes the day out special.

Last summer, my family and I took a day trip from Tampa to Mount Dora, FL to take a CraigCat Tour, partly to enjoy the outdoors but primarily to check out the watercraft. Needless to say we had a blast. Every member of the family truly enjoyed themselves. I was amazed at the simplicity of the machine, which allowed everyone to quickly learn how to navigate and handle the CraigCat. You can go fast or slow, get wet or stay dry. We live on a lake in Tampa and already have a jetski, which some members of the family are hesitant to use. I think the CraigCat has a much broader appeal and can be used by many different riders with different agendas, so I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. The Craig family provided a nice, no pressure atmosphere to get to know the boat better and made the purchasing experience very stress free. Check them out. We rented one and took and tour and were hooked. I never saw all the reviews till after we purchased one. We had a great experience no problems at all. all dates promised were met and they were very helpful. After we had it two months i called Erik to get some parts and again couldnt have been a better experience. We love the ride and are really enjoying it. HORRIBLE customer service, I was inquiring about the motor size and speed, when the guy (bob) cussing and yelling at me and hung up on me. VERY rude, VERY unprofessional. I WILL NOT be doing business with this company nor will anyone I know. What happened to the days of taking care of your customers, and the customer is always right? I was only inquiring because I wanted to buy. EVERYONE I know can attest I am NOT a window shopper. Im a buyer. Looks like they will NOT be getting MY money. I laugh at the bad reviews that I read after my visit. I went there to humor my husband. To be honest I was perfectly neutral about whether or not we bought one. We’ve had boats before and they seemed to be more of a hassle than they were worth...and then they let me drive a CraigCat. So much fun!!! The beauty of being close as close to the water as a kayak, but the speed and grace of a boat and you aren’t stranded miles away from home wondering how you are going to get home against the wind when your arms are exhausted. It’s just a fun vehicle that I can totally see us using more than we used our boat. Now I’m bugging my husband to get one.The owners were not rude at all. Very relaxed and very real. To all the naysayers in the world, I remind you: the world is your mirror. Maybe they were just reflecting what you project?***UPDATE*** We bought one!In spite of a tropical depression and bad weather my husband made the 6 hour round trip to pick the CraigCat up. SO MUCH FUN!!! This is a boat we can use easily in our canals, and it’s so light and easy to handle that taking it in and out of the boat ramp is no problem. I never would have thought that I would ever be writing this review, but I feel compelled to. The fun of boating without the hassle. This is it!

Fun toy...But, In for service 6 times in the first 9 months, 3 electrical, 1 at home electrical, 2 impellers, a thermostat, and each time having to listen to a crotchety old man that made my girlfriend cry with his screaming and non-stop cursing and claiming he was doing me a favor by fixing his defective boat. Robert Craig takes all the fun out of his namesake boat. And only 34 hours on the boat!Follow up. So the son Eric thinks its a good idea to call and curse me out this morning over my review. Eric was not present when his father yesterday cursed me out, and even charged towards me when I responded. Yes, they have corrected the problems, but always with a stream of angry yelling and cursing. I have never experienced anything like this. This, by the way, is the first review I have ever posted in my life.

I called and talked to Eric about a bad steering cable they said wasn’t under warranty, boat still under warranty, told him guy that worked on it question the design, he came unglued using all type of cuss words told him I didn’t like being talked to like that. He said he didn’t give a F.... what I thought and F.... you and hung up.Called back later to talked to his Father (Robert the owner) and got cussed out worst.I was in business for forty years and never had a conversation like this.The boat is a lot of fun but no product is any better than the people behind it.Bill ReslerHe prove my point how I was treated, was not upset about the cable as I getting cussed out by both owner,He said they change the lubrications to lVasaline instead of grease on both end, I greased this boat regularly, only probably go thirty hours on way to uncomfortable to put more.I would not be upset if I was talked to in a calm manner when it comes to equipment there several opinions and if you have a different one does not make them a idiot. I ordered a craigcat and my wife and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, it feel off a lift and was trashed in salt water. I have never experienced such customer attention anywhere. Trust Bud and Eric to do what is right for their customers. They are people you want to deal with at any time.

I was ready to buy the boat, I’ve had 24’ center consoles, 21’ curry cabins, just wanted something to buzz around the lakes in. The owner barged into the conversation I was having with a young gentleman working there, shooting his mouth off about all the attributes and I asked something on the Bimini frame”you don’t stand on this do ya?”, and he bit my head off! Started in on the insults, called me an amateur boater, and few other remarks. Christ what an A—hole! Think I’ll go spend twice the money elsewhere! Imagine what an ass he’d be if you had a service or Warantee issue? Do yourself a favor GO ELSEWHERE!I called back and spoke to the youn man, tried to explain, all I wanted was an apology, he said they were having a bad day, told him of the review, which I could have gladly recanted, and he started in on me too, his insults are not fit to print. Too bad looks like a fun boat, maybe sales training would be a good start. An apology would be acceptable too, and I still would glad to recant this review. If you want it that bad, maybe your first question ought to be “How’s your day going?”

I worked for Robert Craig and his family I have to say that after having witnessed the way they treats people and not to mention his customers I will implore people to look for other solutions. He is disrespectful and a Con Artist and really needs to learn business ethics instead of cursing everybody out the door. He is the biggest 2 faced person i have ever met, he says his boat is the best thing out there and it really isnt.PS: Just by criticizing the boat he wont sell it to you cause youre not worthy of owning one

I purchased a new fully loaded craigcat key west edition almost a year ago. I have not written a review prior, because I believe a very important part of a large purchase is how the company backs their product.First of all, I love my Craigcat, and it is perfect for me heading out into the bay either by myself or with a friend. The boat itself is built like a tank and their is not a single rattle when going through large chop. Another problem I have had on all of my other boats is that lights will always go out on it. This one has never had a problem and I dont expect one.I have had two minor cosmetic problems with the boat since I have bought it (didnt impact using it). Each time Erik Craig has sent me new pieces to replace it. I really appreciate that he seemed just as concerned about the minor flaw as I was. The Craigs take great pride in their product, and they should!I had been considering purchasing one of these unique and versitile boats for a number of years, and my only regret is not buying one sooner. Thank you so much for making a great boat and providing great after market support! Elliott T

We purchased a 2014 Craigcat Elite and enjoyed the craft for the first 18 months. Since then we have experienced nothing but problems. First the steering cable rusted up even though we kept it oiled and covered. Had to replace the steering cable. Shortly after the repair, Craigcat offered a cover for the steering box. When I called the office I was offered no assistance with the rusted cable. A few short months later an email was received advertising a steering box cover for 50.00. I invested in the cover. This tells me other people experienced rusted cables Then the GPS went out. Again no assistance when calling the office . Replaced the GPS .Then the engine problems started. The craft broke down 3 times and had to towed home. Took the craft in for warranty work several times before the engine seemed to be running properly. Had good luck for 6 months and now experiencing same engine issues. Engine runs for 5 minutes and then shuts off and will not restart for several hours. Have also replaced the gas line and gas container. Also use 90 octane gas. We only 91 hours on the engine - as the craft is not realible - neighbors were always on call for a tow. We have two paddles affixed to the craft so we can paddle home when are still close by. Theres a reason for the 10 year warranty on the engine - you will need it. Again the office did not respond to an email asking if I could return the craft to the Orlando office for engine repairs. Recommend you reconsider any decision to purchase a Craigcat. Not realiable.Erik, I wont join you in your name calling tactics. I would suggest you enroll in a couple customer relations classes. If you search your records, I have contacted you with every issue that has been encountered ......steering cable issue, GPS going bad, initial engine problems (and yes I have taken the Craigcat to the authorized Evivrude dealer) and yet the Craigcat is non-operationsl ready again. To be honest no one has any interest in working on the ETec. Several techs have suggested swapping the ETec for Mercury. Have a good day.

There are multiple design flaws within these pontoons. I was really considering buying 2 of the E2 Elite with a 30 HP ETec, but 1 problem that all these boats have, is you can NOT tilt the motor to get on plane because the owner is so stubborn and hard headed, and unwilling to take constructive criticism on his design that would fully improve his boats. The pontoons in the hit the weed guard. I told the owner I would cut the pontoons in the rear at a 45° angle, and he got SUPER PISSED! I also requested no plastic rod holders, I want all stainless steel, ( nope! Nope! We cant do that!!) The owner is very hard to do business with. We will not be doing business with Craigcat

Two years ago my wife and I rented an odd looking boat at nearby Lake Chatuge and experienced the most fun we have ever had on a lake. If we weren’t flying around at 20mph and sliding sideways on water during extreme turns we were pleasantly cruising at 8 mph admiring the lake scenery. Consequently, we knew we had to have one and flew down to purchase a CraigCat in Orlando. We got an Elite2 with a very reliable 25hp Evinrude E-TEC engine (with free 6 year warranty) and looked forward to our first boating experience as owners. Delivery in Orlando was easy and hassle free. All our operation questions were addressed promptly and support since purchase has been exceptional. In fact, it has not only been very economical to own and operate but also trouble free. First of all, it doesnt need a costly boat slip as it fits in our garage, it is easy to tow anywhere and is so light gas mileage doesnt suffer when it is behind our SUV, it never needs an expensive winterization and you never have to mix oil and gas (just periodically add oil to the reservoir in the motor) and most of all, on average, it operates on about a gallon of gas an hour

I have never been so offended in my life. The owner cursed at me with extremely profane language (14 times) I was shocked and left their showroom on the 14th curse word. I cant understand why anyone would purchase a jet ski alternative from him.Based on the other complaints...he is true to form :(

Never wanted a boat because of the work involved, but the Craigcat is SO much fun and almost zero work. What a great design and built with all top of the line materials. The sound system is outrageous and its great to have the bluetooth. (The sound system isnt what sold us on the boat but it is another example of the superior quality of everything on the Craigcat. )Insurance on the boat is extremely low because the darn thing is so safe and cant sink. The Craigcat is very easy to get in and out of the water, and in and out of the boat, very comfy seats, extremely easy to operate and you will have a huge smile on your face as you glide across the water. If you have a chronic or life threatening illness, this will be your therapy boat because it causes pure enjoyment - whats good for the mind is good for the body. That being said, anyone of any age will absolutely love the Craigcat. We do! Just try one and youll be hooked too.

Thrilled beyond words with our brand new 2016 Craigcat Catch-It Key West Model. We drove from Kansas City to Orlando last week and picked it up. Bud, Erik, and Evana were fantastic to work with. Everything was ready as promised and the walk thru of the boat was very comprehensive. We took our new Craigcat out on the most crowded reservoir in KS on a hot busy Memorial day weekend. The water was pretty rough with a lot of really large boats but the Craigcat stayed true and comfortable running over the 2-3 foot waves and wakes and I always had the feeling of complete control and confidence in the stability of this exceptional craft. I was amazed at the responsiveness of the motor and steering in less than perfect conditions. I have owned an 18 foot Deep V Fish/SKi and a 20 pontoon boat in the past. For my money in those conditions I will take the Craigcat everytime. We also spent 6 hours that day crappie fishing in comfort, and almost as much time it seems answering questions from amazed boaters including the water patrol. A quick swim in the lake and my wife Cheryl and I were able to effortlessly reboard the Craigcat. This is a great company folks that cares about the quality of their product and the safety and satisfaction of their customers. Many thanks to the Craig family!!

My father called and spoke with i believe a David or Eric Craig today and never in his life has he been disrespected while trying to buy something like he has today! After speaking and coming to what he thought was an agreement on one and asking about the warranty since he is in Miami this man started to insult and say who does he think he was speaking too and to never speak over him again and went into a screaming match with my father ! This shows a lack of respect and a lack of professionalism ! We will not be buying a Craig cat from them or from anyone as I never wish to work with this family !

Buying a boat long distance can be a scary proposition.But not this time.I ordered my Craigcat Elite 2 from Mr Erik in Florida.He walked me thru the electronic sales order, guided me thru the process and made purchasing this water craft easy.Every time I had a question he answered them thru email, we maintained regular contact, thru out this process.Long distance delivery was arranged to eastern Oklahoma. I was informed of delivery date and time, and delivery was flawless.My Craigcat was in perfect order, the additions I ordered were spot on.I guess what really mattered to me was was dealing with a company, and it was long distance, that did what they advertised and said they would do.And they did! I would do business again with Craigcat in a heartbeat.

These people are the most ignorant people I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Eric, the salesman didnt want to wait until 12:30 for an appointment I had made for a Saturday in Orlando, so he called and tried desperately to cancel. When I called back to let them know we could make it, Bud, the owner cut me off and started cussing at me then hung up on me (clearly because he too was ready to leave on a Saturday at 11:30 rather than honoring an appointment and staying until 12:30). I tried to call back and this time no one would answer. DONT BUY THESE BOATS... these guys will NOT be around long. Its no wonder that they havent grown in 10 years. The engines are warranted but no one will be around to honor any warranty of foix your CraigCat.

This place is a joke,Vice president ERIC has the knowledge of a 6th grader, Rude on the phone like someone at a gas station, You cant buy parts, And will tell you that you cannot rebuild one ? any boat can be rebuilt, threatened me that it was unsafe to do and better off buying a new one, I guarantee my cat will look better than any they have ever designed and it will name it SLAM CRAIG and post pictures so they can steal my design !! just to prove a point.
