This is just the way that these guys takes care and handles your furniture. John, Brian and David were very nice and respectful. They make sure we were happy with everything. They will ask questions to leave us happy how the furniture was positioned plus the process was smooth and easy. Thank you guys i without doubt use this company again. 🤗

Ive used J&J once before and didnt have a problem. But as they say you dont judge a company by what goes right but how they react when something goes wrong. And boy was I disappointed.They stored our Serta mattress for about a year while we waited for our home to be built. When it arrived, it was not wrapped or covered. I noticed when they were unloading it that it was around 75% covered in dirt. I was initially shocked but allowed the men to bring it inside anyway. I figured maybe I could wipe it down. Unfortunately, besides the dirt, it was damp and smelled liie mildew. I spoke to a gentleman in claims and he told me to send pictures. I did. After receiving them he told us to file a claim and provided a link. We did. 30 days passed and no one called us.I called J&J on 8/1 to ask for the gentleman I had spoken with and he was no longer with the company. The owner got on the phone instead. After explaining what happened he basically dismissed it as tough luck. He said that we didnt buy insurance from them (it was never offered), and that even if we did, that they only cover .60 cents per pound. In essence, my $3900 was worth 12 bucks to them!I explained that as a business owner things go wrong. I happen to to be in the warehousing business in NY. He didnt care about my damages. He offered me 200 bucks to go away. I told him to keep it. He just didnt seem to care. Ive been in business for 30 years. I would NEVER disrespect a customer this way. Needless to say I cant recommend a company that doesnt care about damages to furniture that people work hard for. I happen to be OK financially so it didnt hurt me but Id hate to see someone who isnt as fortunate as I have been get burned by J&J. Guide yourself accordingly.

When evaluating using this business to our move on next December 18th I dedicated a lot of time in reading these reviews and I have decided to move forward with other company. About an hour ago a lady from J&J Metro called me (after two days) to discuss a quote I have asked over the website. After I said to her that I already closed with other company she just hang up without even thanking me for the opportunity of a quote. What makes me believe in all negative reviews posted here since this does not show the necessary professional behavior that a trusted company must have to endure in the business.

Quote arrived quickly. Arrived on time, really hustled. I had them drop off items at a few different locations, they had no problem accommodating me. Placed items in my storage unit so well l didnt need half the space I thought I would. Would definitely use them again.

The company did a great job, from the initial contact roughly 4 weeks before our move, all the way through. They managed a multistop move from Brevard County to Leon County without issue, and did it within the quoted range. Would use them again

Beware...do not use this company!We hired them to move all of the large items in our house.  They initially did well wrapping everything and getting it into the truck although it took them a lot longer than they initially stated.When they brought the items into our new house, they broke the glass on our China cabinet, the leg from the dresser and my TV, not to mention scratching up my hardwood floors.  The movers recommended I buy a spray that cost $20 which will fix the scratches.  We bought the spray which did nothing so we had to hire a company to fix the floors as well. They then spent an hour trying to fix the broken leg on the dresser and charged me $175 for their hourly fee while they tried to fix it.I contacted the office to see what they were going to do to fix the situation and got the runaround.  Finally the owner came on the phone and said we were harassing his receptionist because of our issue.  All we were trying to do was figure out what their intentions were to rectify the situation.  It just added insult to injury.  The office manager, Peggy, should not be dealing with people.  She is extremely hostile, unprofessional and blatantly rude.  The owner should be embarrassed to have someone like her representing the company.This company not only caused a lot of damage to my furniture but an equal amount of frustration dealing with them. Im shocked that they are still in business and would recommend that if someone wants a quality moving company to look elsewhere.

We just moved from Apopka to Ocala to a storage place as our home is being built. This three man crew went above the expected in the professional way to load a lot on a truck and unload the truck in Ocala. Was not an easy job, but these guys were great and I would definitely use them again.

Company required a $100 to secure moving date. Told Peggy that I wanted to pay for the move by check with we did. Items were stored on the truck until after the closing of our new home. $1544.90 paid by check on a Saturday. Sunday evening I get a call from my bank that 5 attempts were made on my credit card. 2 went through - one for $300 and one for $500 even though we had paid by check. A fraud attempt was established. I was credited for the $800. The final part to our move was completed a few days later - that total was $786.45 and we also paid by check. Now, the bank has determined it was not fraud and paid J&J Metro Moving and Storage the $800 on 9/30/20. They have the money and are giving me the run around.

I hired J&J to help move my 81 year old mother from her apartment to an independent living complex. I wasnt able to attend the move as i live out of state, and was worried about how my mom would be able to deal with the move on her own. Peggy at J&J put all my fears to rest and they went completely above and beyond to help my mom and even personally deliver boxes that I ordered. On moving day they arrived right on time, my mom said the moving guys were so friendly and nice and helpful. She was very happy and I am thrilled. I would highly recommend J&J!

The movers dropped our antique upright grand piano completely on its back onto the ground- however, it is the way the company handled the situation which warrants this review.I understand that accidents happen, and had it been handled differently we would move on without issue. We asked that the company simply cover the cost of having the piano inspected, which they outright refused to do. After much back and forth, they reluctantly said they would consider reimbursement for the inspection only if the inspection found the piano to be damaged. How would it be possible to know if there was internal damage without an inspection? Our phone calls were punted back and forth between the the owner and his wife; both were rude, argumentative, and had no semblance of professionalism. At $800 to have our piano dropped, we wouldve expected more than their shameful (mis)management of the circumstance.Find a more respectable, trustworthy company to handle your move.

This is not even an accurate representation of what I had to deal with. This company is the MOST unprofessional bunch on lying thieves Ive ever had to deal with. Starting with the quote of 2,650 and ended up paying 3,995. I called multiple times to ensure everything would be packed. When the less than motivated movers got there they asked if I had packed anything, then proceeded to spend most of their time ( that I wad paying for) calling the office counting the items that were not on the list but said they could not credit me for items that were sold, stating it did not affect the weight or pricing of the move ( riding lawnmower, sofa and love seat, dining table and chairs). After loading the truck they stated the job was finished and needed payment before delivering. Who does that? They stated they would keep my stuff if they did not receive payment, in CASH, because they did not like the way I was speaking to them and would not accept my credit card. AGAIN, WHAT REPUTABLE COMPANY DOES THAT?? I still needed to rent a uhaul to move the remainder of my items and hired Working Hard For Your Dollar, recommended by Uhaul. They were awesome and charged way less. Emptied the truck in less than 2 hours. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used J&J to move furniture and boxes into a POD in my driveway. Three guys showed up right on time and worked nonstop until they were done. It only took them a little over an hour. They were professional and did a great job.

We were quoted a price over the phone of $575.00 to $600.00 to move a piano. We agreed and had them move it. When the final bill was handed to us it was &$707.00 Dollars. Dealing with the office was a joke. The woman on the phone said she “forgot” a $100 fee for a moving board. This got nowhere as we objected. When the final charges hit our account it was $732! Not only did they over garage the $100, but then they tacked on $25.00 to boot! Scam all the way. We will report them to BBB, our credit card company, and every social media platform we can. Stay away!

Terrible experience. We have moved using moving companies over 5 times. We have always used national companies and decided to give a local company a chance. It was a mistake. The company tells you how much your move will cost and then end up charging you over $2,000 more for the service. In addition the moving staff is not professional it is part time help and they come to the site without a team leader or manager so they spend a lot of time on the phone and not working. The customer is charged for their lack of professionalism.The mover damaged our front door and I contracted a painting company to do the work and then the company only reimbursed me 50% of the cost of the damaged that their incompetent staff did. They broke several pieces and did not reimbursed us. They lost the hardware for our one of our beds and I had to purchase a new bed.The owner will not come to the phone to talk to you and he will have you deal with the office manager. The office manager will chase you for your business but be aware that they are not reputable and will not honor the price.

We just completed a local move using J&J Metro. I was impressed from start to finish. The original call for an estimate was just that. Over a month later, I called back and they still had my estimate and detail in their system. So the process was easy to move to the next step. We had one truck with three guys. They were on time, developed a plan very quickly, and safely and protectivly handled all our furnishings. They used the same care and professionalism when unloading, placing, and assembling our furnishings. I highly recommend using J&J Metro.

Jason, your team was amazing. Even though it was a simple relocation of large safe with a minimum of steps or turns on both ends, your team took care of my safe from house to house as if it was precious cargo, and showed the same care for the walls etc. They scoped out the move and strategy, carefully blanket and shrink wrapped the safe, and put it precisely where it needed to be. They were polite, professional and quick. The response of your office staff was amazing as well. They called in less than 30 minutes after my email inquiry and we quickly set up a date and time and agreed on price. Everything went exactly according to plan

Ive used this company to move 3 times now. Each move was from a 4/2 house with 1 floor. Theyre great. They take time in sensitive items and move fast on things that they can. Each move took about 3 hours, which is faster then many others I have used ever could dream about. If I have to move again I will be using them again!

We initially put in a five star rating because the men on the job were fantastic. It is a shame they are not backed up by a good administrative office. we must retract our five-star rating of J&J Moving. The truck was apparently 4000 lbs over weight and incurred a fine at the weigh station during the drive to our destination. We signed the bill and the next day we checked our credit card account and found a $201 over-billing. When we called and asked for clarification, we were told that we had to pay the overload fine because WE DID NOT FULLY DISCLOSE WHAT WAS TO BE SHIPPED, it was our fault for not telling them how much all the contents weighed. No one from their office came to our home to see the articles to be loaded and we were asked for a verbal inventory. Every time we attempted to add detail about an item we were told, “we don’t need the details just the general items”. When we called to dispute the $201 charge, we were told that the computer calculated the load weight based on the inventory we gave them so it is ultimately our fault for not giving a more complete inventory. They told us that they do not weigh the truck after loading so they didn’t know it was overweight until they hit the weigh station.So basically 1) they take a verbal general description of the contents to be shipped, 2) a clerk inputs the information, 3) a computer algorithm estimates the total weight, and 4) they bill accordingly. So apparently the general description going through 4 steps of opportunity for error resulting in a bad weight estimate becomes our fault!We asked to speak to the manager and were told we could not, the manager had given the task to her (Peggy). It was her job to deal with us. We said, “so we cannot speak to the manager?” her answer was, no we could not because he gave the job to her.We would have gladly paid the $201 if they had said that the weight estimate was done incorrectly and it is our responsibility to cover any fine. BUT to immediately blame us for the error, insinuating that we lied, and using that as a basis for REQUIRING us pay the fine is rude and unprofessional.

Pros:The movers showed up on time.Two of the three movers were friendly.Cons:One of the movers was grouchy.They did not follow directions as to where boxes were to go.The truck did not fit all of our stuff, so they had to make 2 trips.11.5 hours to move 3 bedrooms 15 minutes away from eachother.Some minor damage to a few pieces of furniture, nothing major, and a small hole put into wall of new place (again it was small, not big).I would not recommend this moving company. After they exceeded their initial estimate by 3.5 hours and more than $500, I lost my faith in this company.

Beware of deceptive pricing. Although the estimate shows hourly rate, truck charges, gas etc. the total in bold at the bottom of the estimate is not the real cost. It is for the “inventory” only. In addition to what you think is the total price you will pay hourly rate, truck charges and gas. It cost me more than twice the estimated price. Lots of damage to furniture and walls in house. They left without unwrapping some pieces of furniture and were nasty to my wife.

I was overcharged on my monthly stage fee. I left voice messages and no response. I went down there in person and was told only the owner can access my account and hes not in. Employee wrote my name and number on a tiny sticky note for a callback that hopefully I get.

I highly recommend J & J Metro. My wife and I did a partial move to a new home in Bradenton. The guys, Mark, Willie, Suave and Joe were great. They arrived on time and got right on task. They got things done quickly and right. Well definitely use this company again. Great job!!

I was relocating my parents to the Orlando area. We had a couple changes of dates and locations due to the need to store things. The Monday came to unload their truck and put it all in storage. The J&J team arrived. Not only were they professionally dressed and prepared, they were amazingly friendly. We were worn out from a couple of crazy days and the J&J team had smiles and kind words that made things great. They took extremely good care of things while they unloaded and packed in temporary storage. I cant say enough about how great their team was.

The move went great. The truck and staff arrived on time and were a pleasure to work with. William, Willie and Samuel did a great job. No stress on me what so ever.

After 23 years of living in the same home, this move was extremely emotional for me. Add to that my disability, and I was a total wreck. J&J Metro Movers had a very good rating, so I called them. Had an excellent experience with J&J Metro and would definitely use them again for any moving needs. I was moving long distance and had a rental truck that needed unloading. Trevor, Dave, and Jermaine were all super helpful and careful with our furniture and other belongings. Pricing was fair and there were no hidden costs or fees from what was mentioned in the original quote. Being out of state, I found this company online and am glad I did. I have moved several times around the Orlando area but never used the same company twice. However, I was so pleased with my movers, Jeff and Roy, that I would not hesitate to call J&J Metro again. Jeff and Roy were courteous, helpful, and easy to get along with. Their positive attitudes also made the move somewhat fun.I was most nervous about my furniture because other movers have damaged just about every piece I owned, whether it was a scuff on my leather sofa or a chip in my wooden coffee table. Jeff and Roy handled everything with such care that I couldnt find a single scratch. They even rearranged some of the furniture I already had in my new home.J&J Metro made me feel valued as a customer, and their professionalism helped ease the stress of moving. The four man crew was very professional in their conduct as well as packing/ wrapping all of my furniture in the truck. These guys were really good at what they do and just a good group of guys. I really enjoyed joking around with these guys. They worked their tails off to get me moved in my new house in a half day. I would definitely recommend J&J Metro for any move.

Ryan & Tony were punctual, professional, and very careful, but in no way were they slow. They picked up some things for long-term storage from one location, then loaded up an 1100sq/ft apartment and delivered everything and got the storage items into storage all in a day! We couldnt be more pleased and we will definitely recommend to friends and family. And we will definitely use them again for our next move! Punctual, Professional, Courteous, Careful, and Timely... what more could you ask for from a moving company? Done for free? No, but absolutely positively worth every penny! I Had the opportunity to use J&J Metro and it was an overall an amazing service. Their office staff was super friendly and helpful. I recently had to move a decent size safe from one home to another. The workers the workers J&J sent were professional, courteous, careful, and PREPARED. They easily manipulated an object that is difficult to move by DESIGN! They treated our home, belongings, and hard-wood flooring with care and expertise.

Movers were quick and helpful. We had a large aquarium and they did a great job of moving it and helping is get it set up in our new apartment. The whole process only took 4 hours including drive time. We were very pleased with the service and the price!

We hired J&J to load 2 U-Hauls for us as we prepared to move to a different state. They arrived 10 minutes early, and stayed until the loading was complete. These 3 gentlemen were polite, kind and extremely helpful. They even made suggestions as to how something may work better if we did it this way, and they were correct. I had never heard of this moving company, I do not know anyone associated with the company. We selected them because they were willing to work the hours we needed, for as long as needed for a fair price. We could not be happier. We will make two more trips to KY before our move is complete, and we will hire them again, and hope to get the exact same crew. It was perfect in every way. Thank you!

Needed to move furniture out of home to prepare for annual Super Bowl party. The J&J team showed up on time and got the job done in a couple of hours. I will use them again in the future.

J&J Metro was very easy to work with. All of the office staff were helpful with arranging the services we needed. We had furniture delivered on 2 different occasions and the delivery people were extremely careful with each piece. Everything arrived in perfect condition.

Great company. Friendly people from the front office to the actual movers. They were able to accommodate my times and specific schedule. The movers took great care of my things and worked very fast. Slightly more expensive than other moving companies, but it is worth it.

I called JJ to inquire about having a safe moved within my condo. They scheduled me in for the next day and were there at the appointed time. Don’t bother calling for a quote. The charges start at $400 no matter what. I stored 14 boxes that I helped load into the truck to store at their location. Did not take more than an hour round trip. And now they want $400 if I go to their location to pick up or deliver. I have to pay a fee to access the property then pay to get my boxes. Needles to say I had to summit a claim to get over $160.00 back because they went and put 3 holds for deposit. They ask you for $100 but then they hold more until ... yes it totals $400.00. Since I have a truck picking up furniture I bought I called to set up me picking up my boxes. Save money. No. Pick up drop off no matter what. $400.00. Reading the reviews, they must of had a change in staff or something because it’s not what everyone has said. Or it must be a slow time of the year and they need $400.00. Shame.

My girlfriend called this morning to tell me how one of J&Js employees catcalled her as she was walking from her house to her car at 8am.Unbelievably, he felt is was okay to disrespect her like that. So NOT ONLY was he comfortable enough disrespecting and harassing her, he was comfortable enough to do it while on the company clock and in uniform...What kind of people are they hiring?? She took a picture of the license plate and reported the classless individual to management.There are plenty of other moving companies out there that wont disrespect and harass your loved ones or anyone that happens to be passing by.

Great moving company that is owned and operated by the same family that has run it for over 40 years! They have helped me on many occasions and are prompt and have never damaged anything of mine. They are my go to whenever I have moved and they also offer storage in case you cant fit everything in your new location.Our move this past weekend went perfect and the two employees were on time and worked very hard to get the job done for us.

Moved on 6/23/2019. Move was setup on the Friday 6/20. Asked Peggy to include quote with all fees or charges. She sends a quote with 450-500 for my move. I agree to the move by putting down a deposit of $100. Move day comes movers were great, careful with items etc. Complete my move in 3 hours, then the driver tells me the quote does not an additional hour. The total move came up to 637 $123 over what I budgeted for this move. Called spoke with Peggy she then try’s to tell me she told me about the charges, when I told her to send me in an email what I will be paying via a quote. Why wouldn’t this mysterious charge not be included in the quote if it is a standard charge. Charged me $615 then an addition $22 was taken out of my account two days later.They will tell you whatever to get you to book their services and charge you way more. I sent an email to their owner via the follow email sent but received no response. That put an awful taste in my mouth since I was very clear with peggy when setting up this service. Be careful if you are a budgeted like myself.

We needed J&J Metro Movers to move our heaviest furniture items for a move 5 miles away. They were on time, very professional, conscientious, and so very smart about how to maneuver in tight places without scratching or damaging walls, doorways, etc. Also, their rates were extremely reasonable. We would definitely recommend them and use them again!

Please, save yourself tons of heartache and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Our contractor hired them to pack and store our belongings. They did not provide a detailed pack up list, only number of boxes, etc... Because of this, they say that everything they packed was returned. I can assure you it was not. During our pack out, thousands of dollars worth of jewelry went “missing”, hundreds of dollars were stolen out of my little girl’s wallet, they stole hydrocodone and packed the empty bottle. We are still missing two Alexa’s, curtains and curtain rods, this doesn’t even include all of the glass items that were broken. One of our dining room chairs appears to have been used in a wrestling match. They sent their “furniture repair guru” to fix the chair along with a side table that was smashed. The chair was returned today and it appears to have been simply glued back together. The chair looks awful, no longer sits flat and has chunks of wood missing! This is a chair from an antique set and cannot be replaced. Thankfully, the police and attorneys are working to get it resolved. So be warned, these people have no integrity and do not care about you or your business. Just awful.

As has been true in the past, service this time was first rate, the crew worked exceptionally fast and hard -- and we have had another positive experience with J&J. What a nightmare dealing with this company! They broke and damaged many expensive items . The men who showed up never wrapped anything and it was raining also. They only moved us around the block and created a mess of damages.We tried to get compensated for our damages and the owner never stepped up despite pictures etc.The worst ever !! They sent men who obviously had no experience. Be very careful using these people .Terrible owners.

Wonderful experience! Everyone from start to finish was a pleasure to work with. Our piano move was completed quickly and easily. I would definitely consider using them again!

They cane through when I needed them to help with an unload. The guys were great. Really professional. On time and moved fast.

WARNING: Bait and Switch scammers. We mistakenly trusted a verbal phone quote for a reasonable price. The phone quote was in fact a purposely vague and rambling statement of unit costs per hour that my trusting spouse reasonably interpreted as a firm bottom line. They never provide a written quote or list of services to be included even at the time of loading. Once they took possession of the property they hit us with a bill for three times the original proposal. They then informed us that the revised quote was only for the pick-up and storage. We would have to pay again to have the items delivered. Now five times the original quote and more than the actual value of the items in storage. They then resorted immediately to the threat to keep our home furnishing until they were paid in cash. We are working people and will be seriously hurt by having stepped into this trap. Their behavior is exactly in line with the behavior of the worst characters in the moving industry. Also, they have loaded this and other Review sections with fake five star reviews. Additionally, after writing this initial review, I was verbally cussed-out, over the phone, by the Jason who is the Owners son. Sweater-vest notwithstanding, he will cuss you out if you challenge his logic. Find another mover.

We recently moved and J &J moving was super from the office staff to the guys that moved the furniture. Reasonably priced and well worth it.You can really trust this company to move you!

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Do not hire. They broke a leg off my expensive dining room table, broke the frame of my bed, scratched my hardwood flooring, damaged a newly painted wall, and damaged a couch and a chair. I asked them to make the repairs. After numerous delays (over a month), they repaired some of the furniture. As to the remainder, I called and called with an employee telling me finally today when they took my call that the repairman said dining table fixed (we repaired the bed ourselves). The dining table is not fixed and guess we wont have a formal dining room table for Thanksgiving. Not even an apology.

Moved a piano and other misc. furniture across town for me. Excellent service and very friendly. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if needed.

Ive used them 3 times now for moves, all three times, they showed up on time, got everything done quickly and were very careful with everything they moved and did.Id recommend them to anyone in the area.

I dont know how this company is still in business. They robbed me for $750.00. I hired them Monday morning for a job the following morning 10/6/15. I gave them my email 4 times and never received an estimate. They ask for my credit card number. I ask why. They tell me they needed it on file for when the job is done and that my credit card will not be charged now. I give them my card number. Five minutes later I check my account and they charged my card $750.00. I immediately call them to tell them they are fired. Call my bank. Two to five business days to get my money back in my account. I call AAA Insta-Move Inc. They did the job and after all my furniture was in place I paid them $550.00. AAA Insta-Move great company. Very professional and careful with your furniture. This company is hurting financially. Now these thieves get to hold MY money for a few days.

Terrible. Jennifer called us numerous times to ask for our business, We asked her to come look at our house and told her the size. She said she did this all of the time and did not need to look at it. It would be under $2000.00.The day they arrived they got half way through with packing and said the move would be more than we were quoted. I had friends move about one third of the furniture and they said that was enough so they could finish in one load. They showed up and worked and moved what we thought was all of our stuff. Later on I found out they had left several items including my desk they had taken apart. They finished up at 10:30Pm. I signed a paper that I was told was the complete bill for $2237. The next day I found out the total was $3700. I have asked for money back for a partial move and being misled on the price and what they could do. The guys moving told us that this happened a lot and they had suggested to Gary the owner that they should look at moves in person.DO Not Use

The 4 man team from J & J Metro moved our Lighting Controls Division this morning, to a new location a block away. They were professional gentlemen that performed an excellent job in half the time estimated for our move. We will use J & J Metro for future moves.SESCO Lighting

Everything went smoothly and efficiently, they took the time that was needed to prepare my piano for moving. From the start, every aspect was how they said it would be. Would use again.

I hired these company to transport a vending machine 20 miles from one storage to another. I gave him all the specifications for width, depth, height, and weight for the machine. I also made it clear that our problem was to put the machine inside the truck and out of the truck.When they arrived at the location, they were not able to do the transport because they did not have a forklift that supported the weight of the machine. They charged me half of the price for a service that they never delivered.Jason said that all calls are recorded, but even though he refused to listen to the call, because he was the one that made the mistake. He also refused to answer my calls after to talk about the issue.

The movers at JJ Metro are very professional in not only the way they handle moving but also in the way they treat you. The movers were very nice and respectful. Its not too often you here yes/no Sir and yes/no Maam from workers of a moving company or any other service. This shows a lot about the the companys standards. I moved from a 3rd floor in Orlando to another 3rd floor apartment and they didnt complain one bit and they were sweating like crazy. So I made sure that I gave them a good tip for their hard work. The move went very smoothy and they worked diligently until the move was finished. Im very glad that I chose them to help me with my move.
