This is such a relaxing coffee shop to go to. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. The employees are very kind and they smile. The coffee is the best in Oroville and Chico. In fact I travel from Wy to Ca a couple times a year and I get coffee at a coffee house in Wy and here. They just have great coffee and a great place to relax, read or work.
I hate leaving a bad review. Their service is so good and their food is yummy. However, their price hikes are out of control. I ordered a green tea with Honey. Water, tea bag, honey, no skill required. $5.75!! I could get something fancy somewhere else for less expensive! When I called to talk to someone no one answers the phone and the message machine is full.
Such a great little spot! Bakery goods, fresh deli offerings, a soothing inviting atmosphere and the Thai Coffe👌🥮😋If youre in need of a happy face and an afternoon pick me up, go see the vibrant and lovely Martha today!
My first time coming here since new ownership. Left disappointed. I did not get what I ordered. I was excited to try the Rose tea special listed on menu, and driving down the highway 15 minutes later discover they gave me gun powder green tea. I’m too far away to do anything about it, so I left this post. I suppose I should have checked my order before I left since they didn’t. Won’t be returning
This place is great! Healthy food options, great coffee, teas and smoothies. I definitely recommend it. I went through all the previous reviews and any of the negative ones I wouldn’t pay attention to because they are old and out of date. The Good Earth has a new owner as of a week ago, and the whole place will be remodeled and there will be new menu items and friendly service coming soon!
The Good Earth | Coffee & Tea House located in the heart of Lake Ave in Paradise serves the simplistic yet perfectly brewed teas. Seriously love their boba consistency here also. Only wish they gave a tad more boba in my extra large upgraded cup; yea its that good.
My go to. Garden green smoothie...yummm
I bought a half a dozen bagels to take home and my family loved them all. The service was great and friendly.
Every time I ask for my drink blended they here iced. It’s annoying that every time I got there they can’t get one thing down.
Love their cinnamon apple cider drink and their smoothies. They have awesome pastries too
I have never eaten at good earth but I can tell you they have great blended coffees. I would recommend this place just based on the coffees and the great service.
Excellent drinks and coffer service is awesome
Do not come here just for the sake of the business owner. I worked for 4 months here (August-December, no longer as of 2 weeks ago) and it was absolutely terrible. As much as I loved the customers and the job itself, the owner was NOT a nice man. He would delay on payday, giving any form of excuse not to pay, such as come back tomorrow, and then come on Monday instead to then saying come Wednesday instead and so on. Yet he carries stacks of cash bundled in his pocket at all times. The owner (Ray Ahmad) would constantly accuse me of stealing money or stealing stamp cards, he has yelled at me in front of customers inside, etc. He does not know how to make drinks AT ALL. He sends workers home, so he could get the hours instead of the fully trained workers, initially making the drinks himself, giving customers bad drinks. He should not own this business and you should not spend your money here, 9 times out of 10 the drinks will not turn out good. I promise. This is a bad man!!
Much better under the new ownership
Under new ownership and it shows!! I will definitely be going here every time Im in Oroville.
Our experiences at Good Earth vary from poor to great. This morning I stopped by to pick up a breakfast sandwich. It was terrible. The cheese was like a poor quality nacho cheese... really gross; the sausage patty tasted like cardboard and was extremely dry. The English muffin was dry and tasteless as well. I took one bite and could not swallow it. I value shopping locally and dont want to go to the Starbucks that opened down the street, so I highly recommend you guys at The Good Earth invest in better ingredients and step it up! The service was poor today but at other times has been good.
This place used to be really good with the previous owners, I don’t understand why you buy a business and don’t know how to make any coffee whatsoever or know how to use the register that you put the system in, was there yesterday on 5/27 and ordered a couple iced drinks,The guy couldn’t even properly ring it up I had to tell him that my card went through to pay for my drinks. Also I ordered six shots espresso with just one cup of mocha, pretty sure I got 6 cups of mocha and no espresso whatsoever because I threw that freaking thing out. I don’t understand why you buy a business that you don’t know how to run or make coffee at all, just because you have money,Maybe you should think of hiring people that know what the hell they are doing before you go out of business because I will never come back there again and it used to be one of my favorite spots to stop at in Oroville, If I wanted a crappy cuppa coffee I would’ve went to Starbucks. I hope you two gentlemen figure it out very soon or are you wasted a lot of money
The owner Ray Ahmad is a crook. he would not honor the stamp cards he provides. there are ten drinks you get a free one stamped on this little card but he found a way to REstamp the same spot claiming before it hadnt been stamped because the ink had only covered half its mark. then on another day when i took my completed card to him he swiped by bank card first and said i should have told him first that had a discount card. but i had given both card too him at once. Do not get your tea here, find a better place, theres plenty
Great prices! Great coffee! The best in town! And they give reward cards so you can get your 10th one on them!!
Very disorganized with new management. No large cups so they had to use AMPM cups. Young lady that took more order, got it completely wrong and forgot my muffin. Muffin was very dense and if your going to have a apple cinnamon muffin make sure you taste it before selling it to customers, no flavor at all. Employee was trying to get me to apply even though she acknowledge I had my work shirt on from another company. I hope this place gets straightened out quickly because I love there toffee crunch mocha.
Every Wednesday after our prayer group is finished, we go to Good Earth in Oroville for coffee and fellowship. They always make us feel so welcome and their drinks and food are wonderful. Thanks Good Earth.
I have not had a good experience here lately. The quality of drinks has gone down as well as customer service. They dont seem very well trained and some are just not friendly. I gotten inconsistent pricing on drinks as well, though this might be the prices just going up between a short spance of time.I used to go there 3 to 5 days a week just to work in the nice atmosphere. I gave the new place a real chance but I dont think Ill be going again.
This place is very cozy and conveniently located near Grocery Outlet. They are about as pricey as most coffee shops, but for a cheap drink you could try an herbal tea - I got the roibos. A good place to have a conversation or work on homework.
Wonderful coffee shop! Great customer service and atmosphere and coffee. On the downside they have limited food options and none are healthy.
Its really irritating that this place is closed on holidays and doesnt post anything online even after it was brought to their attention. So if you think they might be closed or assume they are open just drive across town to figure it out!!! This is only as recent as the new owners. Nothing about the place has been upgrade except maybe physical appearance.
Best place for coffee or tea and a pastry in town, hands down! Drinks and food are great, wifi, staff are always friendly and helpful and I have found service to be fast. I almost never wait more than a couple minutes. The inside decor is very inviting. Good Earth is a gem and I also love that Im supporting a locally owned business!
This place used to be good but my recent experience was not good! The bagel was dry and crumbling, my lavender tea had no sprig of lavender and the large cups are smaller than they used to be. Service was not friendly, store and signage is starting to look unkept and run down.
This is a great local coffee house. They have healthy, and not so healthy, breakfast and lunch items. I have been going here on and off for quite a few years and they have always been great! WiFi access has let me sometimes remote into my office when my home connection has been down. Comfortable seating areas with tables for eating with friends or using your tablet or laptop. Best internet cafe in Oroville even though they do not advertise themselves as such.
NEW OWNERSHIP. Super disappointed. My main issue is with inconsistencies. I used to order the cocoa almond butter all the time and now it is never made right. Sometimes its runny. Sometimes its thick. Sometimes its in a small cup and others its in the cup it should be made in. ALSO the other day I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and was given a stale, dry bagel with sour cream cheese. I tried to address them personally before writing a bad review but they never got back to me. Will not be returning. My once favorite coffee shop is now the worst.
Great service and yummy coffee drinks, great variety
Lots of fun items to browse through. Check it out. Their bagels and coffee are amazing.
What an awesome little place in the middle of Oroville. Being from the Seattle area and drinking coffee from all around the states, this is a fantastic experience. To top it off, the breakfast burrito is delicious. Thank you for the great service
I LOVE The Good Earth! Their drinks are better than Starbucks. The dine-in area is set up with little nooks making it a great meeting place for 2 or 3 people. Very positive atmosphere.
The orders are sometimes messed up... But free internet and a very calm relaxed atmosphere. It kind of is a trade off of whether you want what you ordered and how relaxed do you want to feel.
Best coffee shop in town! Love the lavender black tea, the blended drinks are to die for. Great breakfast burritos. Friendly staff. Great punch card buy 10 get 1 free. Love this place!
I LOVE The Good Earth Coffee & Tea House. I had wanted to go in for a long time but didnt... shame on me. I finally ventured in and had a delicious scone and an iced chai and sat in the beautifully decorated and calming setting for some time just relaxing and reading a new paper. Many comfortable seating arrangements for your personal preference. So nice to have something more personal than the basic all the same coffee spots around town.
Great place for coffee and tea!!! The environment is set up nicely and the staff are great. I love supporting my local businesses because they really want to serve the community well!
Theyre my favorite coffee shop around. Right now, Im in love with the iced Honey Tea Latte. I havent tried their food, but the drinks are always delicious. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting.
Really nice espresso and banana walnutcake. Beautiful calm freindly place and good service. I will come back.
Love their mocha toffee
New owners (in late 2020) = all these women are NOT WEARING masks! When asked why customers were all wear mask, but employees were not following the state issued mandate; they looked like no big deal and still did not comply. This used to be one of the best coffee stops in Oroville, but right now I am going back to Starbucks. Good Earth is located on the main drag for ultra convenience, just West of a big grocery shopping center.
Good Earth makes the best blended coffee drinks Ive ever tasted in my life! Starbucks does not compare. Ive only ever had very positive experiences coming here. The shop itself is comfortable, inviting, and has an overall calm atmosphere.
I enjoy getting a Thai Iced tea here, always tastes great. Always friendly and they gave my pups a treat. That rates high on my list.
The teas are by far my favorite. I stop here all the time to sit down, enjoy my drink, and do some homework. They have wonderful staff who are very friendly. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing.
A cozy place to have your morning java. I was greeted with a friendly smile and hello. Customer service was slightly lacking.
Yummy snacks and drinks! Lovely staff in a quaint and relaxing setting. Not all the commotion and hustle and bustle associated with Starbucks or similar places.
I go in every couple of weeks to meet w/friends and never regret it. Its a nice, cozy, small cafe. Havent tried their tea yet, but the coffee is great, the baristas are very friendly, plus its quiet, clean, and the decor makes the place look just like something youd find in a big city w/out having to travel to one. I live nearby and will be back many times :)
Small business. Better coffee than Starbucks and way more good breakfast options, including breakfast burritos and scones etc. Went three times and customer service was always fantastic. They have a chocolate cream cold brew!!!
Pretty dang good tea, nice sitting arrangements and prompt helpful staff. Good for meeting friends. I recommend the Lavender Black tea.
AWESOME always trying to make sure youre satisfied before you drive away.Very nice.
Best Coffee and Tea place in Oroville, CA. The service is friendly and topnotch. The food and beverages are better than most chain franchises. A very nice local family owned and ran business.
Favorite place in town for coffee an tea. Prefer their shop to any other in town. Always have nice staff and greeted with smiles. Reccommended to anyone
I love this place! Great coffee and I love the mini quiche! Really useful and fast drive-thru. There is a very relaxing atmosphere inside and a lot of private places to sit.
I have always loved their coffee, was sceptical when they got new owners. But the coffee the new owner made me special the other day was amazing!
Great breakfast burritos!
Its a really nice place with a good menu. They would definitely benefit with some better parking.
Best place ever for coffee. Great, friendly staff. Great flavorful coffee. My favorite place to go for an amazing coffee.
Excellent place and theyve now added wonderful food
Great service! food was yummy!
Coffee condiments are always low.Couple stir sticks in a cup. Place looks poor...third world. No almond milk for the last week.Dining room has 4 burnt out bulbs.Where is management?
I enjoy this coffee house. Warm and friendly. Cosy and quite inside with couches, tables and chairs. WiFi. Snacks are healthy and decently priced. Stamp card available and they like tips!
By far the best coffee in Oroville! Locally owned! Delicious coffee and food! Fast friendly service! ❤
I love this place! great coffee, snack and really good Thai tea. the ambiance is perfect.
They are under new ownership and its greatly improved!I saw on Facebook (completely by chance!) that they were under new ownership and that the new owners wanted to restore Good Earth to its original glory. I bit the bullet, went through the drive thru and ordered my favorite drink. They actually made it right! Service was great! They honor old gift certificates and stamp cards! Im so excited that theyre coming back.Old review, ONLY RELEVANT to previous owners:Quality of service has changed for the worse with the new owners. Much of the regular staff from the old owners are no longer there and the new staff (and owners, when they are working there) arent familiar with the menu at all. Id order something straight off their menu, zero changes, and it would be VERY wrong. Got tired of having to correct it almost every time and stopped going.Im really disappointed about this. They were the best coffee shop in town... Strong coffee, friendly customer service. Now not so much. :( issues with the old management (slow to get your order) are still present with the new ones. Overall, just a disappointment #MakeGoodEarthGreatAgain
It’s good
The staff is always super friendly and kind. And the quiche is incredible!!
Best place for coffee in Oroville! They also have a lot of unique natural products inside the store.
The blended spiced Chai is to die for! The atmosphere is calm and comfortable. I definitely recommend this charming little coffee shop.
Finding the front door was a challenge, but once I got inside, the atmosphere was fantastic. Loved the couches. Coffee is great too!
Hmm mm what can I say. They are awesome....I go there.....a lot. Best coffee place in town hands down in my opinion. I have brought lots of people here and I dont remember a single bad experience.
Fantastic place!! Take a few minutes & unwind. Smoothies, tea, tasty sweets, even a bookcase full to browse.
I hate having to give a bad review because I truly love their coffee, but the service has been terrible. Today at the drive thru window I sat for 3 minutes without someone even coming to the window. The time before that I waited 18 minutes in line with only 2 people ahead of me and had to go straight through without coffee or Id be late to work. Again, they have the best coffee in town, but Im sadly not likely to return.
I love that it is local, their coffee is great and the people are friendly ! My one and only complaint is the waiting period ... dont go if you are in a hurry . Worth the wait, unless you only get a half an hour lunch break 😃
This place is a great little spot to sit and think while enjoying some craft coffee or beverage. Very comfortable inside with great service.
This place is the best! Ive been coming here for years
Love this place. Best blended coffees and the staff are always so nice.. Would totally recommend.
Great service, nice place for a quick date with my husband or a cozy chat with my friends.😊 I also like that they have some healthy yummy drinks and are willing to modify any drink to your desire.
The coffee is good and the atmosphere is normally nice as Ive been inside to do some studies with a friend a few times, however, beware if you dont let them know you are due a free coffee with your purchase card. They take the position that its the customers responsibility to make them aware that youve filled the card after youve handed it to them and theyve checked it off in order to receive the tenth cup free. They dont assume anything. This was told to me by the cashier and acting manager. The manager did give me a discount card after I parked and went in to complain but the customer experience was definitely tainted. Your brand is built by the image you create and placing the burden of responsibility on the customer to tell you that he/she gets a free coffee after youve marked the card is ridiculous. The cashiers attitude was piss poor and shouldnt be in the business of customer service if shes going to think giving a smart ass response and closing the window will solve it. Poor training or a combination of poor attitude will ruin any business.
Usually my favorite place to go get a tea however this time it was the only bad experience we have had. Long wait then got my order wrong then. Then when asking about it was told by the guy that coco meant coconut milk this drinks never in the past had that in it, no tea bags and a weird syrup in it and all over the cup...it was undrinkable and a waste of money and a big let down.
I love my coffee but honestly dont ask what they like hahaha ots not always the same as ur taste
I like their flavored energy drinks. Always super fast
Im addicted to their blended spiced chai!! Soooo good. Friendly staff too, they always greet you with a smile. This is a great place to go.
Bad service. Place is too unkept. Had a matcha tea n it was ok though the price was high. I wont go back. Met a homeless man in here. Nice experience
I bring my travel mug in and it gets filled promptly with great Thanksgiving Coffee.
Nice cozy place to have a relaxing cup of joe or tea. The WiFi is pretty slow but, if you have time, works.
Great coffee, atmosphere and yummy, clean food. Highly recommended.
Typical coffee shop high prices. Food is good.
Inspiring atmosphere
This place should be called bad earth had a terrible experience today. Been to this place several times and ive always had friendly service dont no the names of the employees today inparticular but terrible miss-communication and a complete fail to take my order drinks tasted old got the wrong order on all 3 of my drinks even after repeating my orders several times the employees at the time where very inpatient with me and my family didnt even say sorry for the wait i ended up not even drinking my drink after spending 15 dollars on the beverages how do you get latte with mate confused its yerba mate not latte wow smh 😪 better luck next time
They have the option of coconut milk or almond milk, their coffee is organic they have pastries including gluten-free and comfortable seating
Nice people
Creme brulee is my new favorite hot coffee.
Love this place so much! The people are always so incredibly friendly! ^_^
They have very good chai tea and the atmosphere is very nice
Always there if you need a quiet place to get away. And the staff is lovely.
Atmosphere. Lavender tea was so good. The music was not playing, but love to sit and catch up with a friend here.
Fun stuff
