Score for front office folks (especially Amanda in the follow up): 5/5.Score for Dr. Cabrera: 1/5.Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but not only was the eyewear bill roughly 2X what we normally pay for an exam and eyeglasses (with insurance), the prescription was so inaccurate that the glasses are unusable. Oh, and if there is such a thing as eye-shaming, this optometrist vigorously engaged in that behavior.

Crystal at the Leawood office is the best! She handled a very horrible situation with another Eyecare provider and helped me back into one of my favorite pair of glasses. I will be a forever customer to this branch. Thank you SO very much Crystal!!!

Dr. Cabrera was friendly and professional. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood what was needed. Crystal and Terri were wonderful. This was my first time wearing glasses so I was lost on what to select. They made it so much fun!!!

LONG UPDATE: When I picked up my safety and regular glasses; I casually mentioned to Crystal that I wanted some extra side shields for my safety glasses and was asked if I wanted some to be ordered. To be honest; I dont remember what my response was. A couple of weeks later I received a phone call that my side shields were available. I wanted to order my another pair of glasses and my new ones readjusted when I picked up them up. I knew exactly which frame I wanted and it wasnt there. I looked around to see if any other frame spoke to me and didnt find any. The whole time I was looking for another frame, Renee was adjusting my fit and Crystal was assisting me. She could sense my disappointment and got the frame info from Renee and started calling to see if it was in at another location. With my fit perfected, I was asked if they were able to located the frame, how did I want to proceed. I opted for them to be ordered and I could pay over the phone. Less than 30 minutes later, Renee called letting me know that they found them. She knew I was driving and asked if I wanted to call back with payment info (Care Before the Sale is real!!). Gave her my info (from memory and we laughed about it).Had one of the best experiences shopping for frames. I went there for safety glasses for my job. Was so pleased that I decided to get my regular glasses too. Renee was wonderful. Would recommend them.

Dr Alan Cabrera is very professional and the office is very clean. Staff helps select glasses, which was a pleasant surprise, since I have never had to wear glasses. I would only come this this office for your vision needs.

Dr. Cabrera is friendly, knowledgable, and patient, and so are all of the employees working in the front, especially Renee! I’ve been to countless eye doctors and this is where I feel most comfortable. I’m from Lawrence, and the experience is worth the drive. What’s more, they are taking COVID seriously with social distancing and surface cleaning measures. I would give six stars if I could! Thank you!

I have been going to SVS for over 8 years. Caring and knowledgeable and always helpful and I never fill rushed when picking frames also answering all my questions about types of frames and lenses. While having a gracious return or switch return policy.

The staff was patient, professional and very friendly. The manager bent over backwards to ensure that I picked the perfect frame and lens options. This was easily the best experience Ive had when selecting a new pair of glasses.
