Medium hardware/yard store similar to Ace rather than HD. I received good, personal service during recent visit. Update - returned for some stainless steel machine bolts, and they had almost all I needed. Great personal service. Raised my rating to 5.

Customer service here is superior! I still have to go to the big box stores for some things, like plants, but otherwise I shop here, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and someone is always available to help, unlike those big box stores where the employees know no more about the merchandise than you do.

From the minute you walk in the door your being watched and followed. Makes for a VERY uncomfortable shopping experience. I work in retail and understand it. But you also cant assume EVERY customer is going to steal. Following customers down every isle is not good customer service

Great spot, super knowledgeable, the hardware guy is great, found the bolt I needed. Definitely worth going out there, home depot didnt have my bolt, neither did o Reillys. Pretty much anything technical or specialty or uncommon they have. Before they hda double prong two on position switch. Definitely worth your time.

Very kind and attentive employees. They have a lot of product and very helpful in locating even the smallest items. If in doubt, call them and they will inform if they carry the product or not.

Have come to True Value a couple times for self home repair items to save myself the trip out to a bigger box store. I was surprised at the expert knowledge of some of the employees here and absolutely felt at home while there. Some items lack price tags and this place can be a tad bit more expensive than per say lowes but overall it saved me 20 minutes of driving and I was able to find everything needed!

Favorite hardware store in the area

Went to the true value store in Palm Bay to return cartridge remover that was sold to me by their employee (He said it would work it didnt). The man said he could not accept the return because it was past 15 days. Idont have any animosity towards the employee but I wasnt even offered store credit. I should have only gone to Ace hardware. Which for now on I will do.

We came in for an ac filter and some information on how to repair a. Tile break in the shower she had no clue what we were talking about than she said grout was on iile 13 and 14 I asked her to ssnd some one to help. After several minutes we bought our filter and left

Clean, very well stocked and the price point was just right.

Called and asked an associate if they had and could do what I needed. The first person I spoke with said it shouldnt be a problem but he was leaving so he handed me over to another associate who said it wouldnt be possible. Two people within 30 seconds of one another two contradicting answers. One of these employees either lied or doesnt know their store and its capabilities. Either way Ill be going elsewhere with my business.

I had a clogged toilet problem The jobber knew just what I needed and it worked perfect it was the same tool the plumber used to fix it the last time and charged me 200 bucks with a little direction I did it and it cost me 30 bucks thankyou so very much there always there to help and explain what to do you made a customer for life

I have had the same experience with trying to buy the Ace hardware flyer sale items. I have never found them in stock! Even on the day the sale starts. They always seem to have a very similar item with just a few numbers off. I was told that they do not have to honor the sales ads as they are and independent store and the ad is nationally distributed.This is every bit bait and switch.I have since quit going there. And this applies to all the local Ace Hdw stores.They are just a big rip off.

Its too bad some people have had negative experiences at this store. I have found them to always be friendly, helpful, and willing to make recommendations. They are great to have nearby over having to drive to Home Depot or Lowes. I frequent the store quite a bit for all sorts of smaller items or small quantities. For everything else I go to the larger stores.

The people that work there at true value treat you as if you were family, there polite and very helpful, if they dont have what you want they will tell you where to go for it. Customer service is ten stars plus.. keep it up true value.

I have been looking for J Hooks for pegboard and could not find them anywhere and when I went to True Value I actually found two different sizes and I did not have to buy all the other junk that I didnt need that comes in the set so they are helpful and I was very pleased with what I found will be going back again and again Im sure

Convenient local store with the most needed items available to do/fix in a pinch. They dont have the selection or specialty items that lowes home depot have but not having to fight the traffic is priceless. They have a lot of interesting sections too, like camping stuff, canning section, archery/target practice items you normally wouldnt expect so worth seeing every aisle.

Really nice quit going to Ace hardware found everything I needed and then some.

Do not EVER buy paint from this True Value! I bought 1 gallon of paint to paint my bedroom while they were having a sale. I started painting my room and realized I didnt have enough paint so I went back to the same store and bought another gallon of supposedly the same exact paint. Needless to say, it was not the same color even though they said it was. It was at least 3 shades darker than the original color and looked terrible once it dried. I went back to the store to get my money back and all they would do was replace 1 gallon of paint even though I wasted 2 and have to re-paint my entire room. They cannot match their own paint colors and they will not stand behind their products. I will NEVER return to this store. If I could give less than 1 star I would!

Complete lack of knowledge- employees are useless. Asked for an electrical switch and was told they didnt carry them. Found at least 12 on my own. Tried to return a $6.00 item (with the receipt) and was told they couldnt do it without the DEBIT card I used- same as cash. Either they have very poor management and training or they just hire stupid people.

Local I dont need to drive up to West Melbourne. Quick in and out.

This True Value just opened and my local neighborhood and being a business owner I figured that I would give the opportunity to a company to strive locally in the neighborhood. I went there because they had a sale on a particular item that I wanted to purchase, upon coming to the store the managers called the owner for the price match, which he then told me that they would not honor the sale price because as a franchisee they do not have to partake in the sale.. I was completely dumbfounded as a business owner this is a terrible way of doing business., I am also a franchisee of my own company and our corporate office also puts pricing on their website that we honor because thats the way of good customer service making sure the customers always happy, we would rather lose a couple dollars then have our customers feel the way that I feel right now. I do not recommend going to a company that all they care about is greed and money

Bad service, and broken toggles for screws, Id advise go to home depot for the same stuff better service and cheaper.
