Waited from 10:30 until 1:30 for oil change. And never got done. They told me it was a 45 minute wait. Could not wait any longer. Will never use them again.

They replaced my valve cover and my spark plugs. Supposedly oil was leaking into my spark plug area which is why the valve cover needed to be replaced. Also bought my own coils but supposedly the current ones on the vehicle is still good. Well my vehicle is still acting the same as it has been. This problem should had gone away and they said it runs much better now. Well it doesn’t! Paid almost $500 for spark plugs and the valve cover to be replaced. I feel cheated out.Update:Brian reached out to me concerned about my vehicle. He worked on it himself and boy whatever he did made it run so much better! He reassured me everything looks fine and it just needs to be run with fuel injector. He also cleaned whatever parts needed to be cleaned.

They went above and beyond for me. I drove an hour or so because I had a Champion battery and Pep Boys carried them. They replaced the battery and repaired the isolator fuse free of charge.

Embarrassingly bad, I had an appointment, came in at 9:30am and was I informed by The front desk that the mechanic had not shown up to work yet, even though he was supposed to be there at 8am. She said she hoped he shows up soon, since I was the only one there, I waited around for about 15 minutes for him to show up which he finally did around 9:45. Once he arrived he, stayed behind the desk for a little bit, walked to the back and was back there for about 5 minutes, came back up front and was on his phone, and then looked at my work order and keys, and then walked passed them into the garage to do god knows what. I asked for my keys and left without even an apology. This place is a joke, how are places like this still open?

They couldve easily made a sell on an alignment in which i knocked my camber out of place over a bump and didnt want to fix it myself, but they refused service because of my ball joints. Glad all i had to do was adjust it back and tighten now its straight as ever.

Needs 0 stars and a refund. Took my company truck for service before I took a 1500 mile trip for work. Got brakes, alignment, and they said I needed front struts. I told them I would here something loose and they said it was the struts. The following day a travel to north Dakota and the steering wheel is at 1 o clock when driving straight. The brakes and still making noise and I still hear something loose in the front. I didnt want to take it here but the company has account with them.

Becareful what you buy here they dont keep there word on there tires especially the Cooper tires they sold me defective ones and wouldnt exchange them.

I had to call back 5 times in 2 days for updates someone kept telling me they would give me then they tried holding my car hostage for nonpayment even though my warranty covered 99%.

I came in & got 2 new tires on 8/16/2020. When I left my car was making a weird sound. I drove back immediately and told the mechanic about it. He told me it was my bumper being loose. Never actually examining the car further.This sound continued and I took it to another mechanic shop - it turns out that my back left tire WAS NOT secured properly and was loose when I was driving which was the cause of the sound.I do not appreciate being brushed off when I brought my car back & I do not appreciate a halfway done job that put my life at risk.

I bought four new tires from these guys and they put my wheels on 3 in a half oz off balance. When I called and told them about the situation, all the “manager” said was “I’m sorry ma’am” and told me he couldn’t do anything about it.Young and inexperienced employees that dont know what they’re talking about when it comes to cars.Wouldn’t recommend spending any time or money here. UNPROFESSIONAL

I am totally late writing this but here goes my experience. I went in there and talked to the lady at the desk. Her name is Mims I think. I told her that my care needed a new speed sensor on the left rear side. I also told her that I do need a TPMS sensor, but not to do that on that day. I told her to just please have them replace the speed sensor only. She said Okay and wrote me up, gave me a price and told me it would get done. Well I waited in the waiting room about 2 hours and I asked why my car was taking so long to get in the shop. I told her that I had been there for 2 hours and I just needed a speed sensor. She said that she will ask what is going on. She came out and said OH YOU WANTED A SPEED SENSOR? I WROTE YOU UP FOR A TPMS SENSOR...I WAS JUST GOING OFF OF WHAT HE TOLD ME. I said yeah I just need a sensor. So then she, obviously knowing she made a mistake said, I have to order that part, we dont have it in stock. I told her that I have been waiting for 2 hours for a speed sensor and reminded her that she told me it would be done. She just blame shifted and said I was just going off what he said! So I told her to just give me my keys back and have a great day. I waited over 2 hours for nothing and all she did was just blame it on him...remember, I told her that I was there for a SPEED SENSOR NOT A TPMS SENSOR!! I was not even mad so I have no idea why she just blamed other people. I left that joke of a shop.--Joshua Jimenez

This is the 3rd and last time I come here to get a tire patched up, I gave them 2 extra chances, and the same thing happened, Ive been waiting for 2+ hours, and my vehicle isnt ready, how long does it take to patch a tire? No idea, havent done it myself, but I have changed a tire once, and it took me 40 minutes with no experience and barely enough tools, so I cant imagine that patching 1 tire, takes longer than that, you know, them being the experts and all, they also have a wider arrange of tools at their disposal, and I was the only person at the store, so I REALLY dont see what could be taking them so long.

Every time i call pep boys for oil changes or any vehicle repairs that I need they always have a very positive attitude, and always take me in no matter the time. The technicians are very professional, and honest, Specially MIMS she’s great at what she does, she constantly lets me know what’s going on with my truck. You won’t be disappointed

Excellent customer service! I was on a long road trip with multiple events and a tight schedule, and was still able to walk in and get 2 tires replaced and an oil change in a very short period of time....under an hour with no appointment! Jon was even kind enough to go over a few extra things I had concerns about. Ive used Pep Boys before, but this was absolutely above and beyond anything I expected or have experienced in the past. Ill definitely be going back to this location and would recommend them to anyone!

Left here about 2 hours ago with an alignment. Tested on the highway. Let go of wheel and it immediately pulled to the right🤨***Update***When back the next day to find out nothing had been done to our vehicle. The alignment was done with no urgency and we had to wait after 4 other customers. Vehicle is fine now. Dont think we will return to this location.

Michael and Dana were excellent today. My day had a rough ending as I hit a curb and damaged my tire rim and my tire would not hold air. I don’t live in Pasadena and I had no idea how I would get home and even getting a tow home was a possibility. Pepboys was the only company that offered me help and I got the help I needed. They repaired my tire rim and I was able to get home safely. Great service, great price and I was treated with kindness and professionalism. I definitely recommend this Pepboys location for all your car & tire needs

Horrible. Went in for a new battery. Had to have my car jumped to start it and told them at counter it was running because I couldnt start it again. They left it running over an hour before pulling it in a service bay. It overheated in 100+degree heat. Then I waited in waiting room over 2 hours for a battery. When I finally asked what was taking so long, I was told it had been ready for about an hour and a half. No one bothered to tell me it was ready. Poor customer service.

They dont even deserve the star bad service they stripped my wheel lock with the impact gun they dont even know how to change a simple Tire incompetent employees my time was wasted and now I have to pay out-of-pocket.

Great service and friendly people. Went for a brake fluid flush on a new used vehicle I got and got out in 2 hrs without an appointment. Overall very happy with it.

Came in to get some bulbs changed, was told it would take about a half hour (7:30). We proceeded to sit in the waiting room for an hour and 15 minutes (8:45), and when we finally asked what the status was, we were told it was ready. No idea how long it had actually been ready for. The guy also had very poor communication skills and couldn’t even give change properly. I get it, it’s early in the morning, but come on guys. We had plans this morning but now we have to rush and get to school. Only giving it two stars because at least the job DID get done. Eventually. If you come here make sure you stay on the employees about when your vehicle is actually ready cause nobody will come tell you.

Regular maintenance: front and rear diffs, and front end alignment. They recommended a new alternator belt. I didnt ask to look at it; I figured with 61K miles on an 8-year old vehicle, it was a good idea. I had an appointment. When I scheduled it the said itd take 3 to 3.5 hours. In reality, it was about 1.5. Cesar was nice, kept me informed about my vehicle. Free Keurig coffee in the waiting area with TV. Id go back.

I came across this pep boys about two years ago on a drive to our ranch in Palestine Texas from Galveston. One of my trailer tires was loosing air fast on beltway 8, i was able to limp the trailer to pep boys and they had me back on the road before I could even call my wife to tell her I’d be a little late!!!!! (No exaggeration literally took them 7 minutes to mount and balance the tire. I even showed up 4 minutes before the store closed and they still welcomed me with open arms. I have since been driving from my home in Galveston to this pep boys location for all my tire needs. The drive is 150% worth it for the wonderful service you get at this shop. I commend all the employees, manager and store owner for their honesty and wonderful work ethic. I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs any auto work.

Ill first describe my customer service experience. I walk in and head to the service desk. Three guys at the desk and they dont acknowledge me, then one kinda nods to the last like hell help you in a minute. Later on when Im handing my keys over to a different guy (I think this guy was getting trained) there was nothing. He took the keys and didnt say a word, barely looked at me. Im thinking shouldnt he tell me thanks, well see you in an hour or something? Not a word. It makes me wonder because, is he going to make sure my car gets taken care of and not forgotten? Ive already waited over an hour which brings me to my next point.TIME. I went in to simply have my drivers wheel replaced because of screw/nail punctures. They say come back in an hour. So I run an errand and come back an hour and 10 minutes later. Then as I hand him the keys, I try and get some info out of him on what to expect and make sure hes coherent and realizes hes got my keys in his hand, and he says itll be another 35-40 minutes before they get to my car. Really? I cant wait any longer, I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old. So, I say OK and have my spouse drop me off at home with the kids and then take the car back. Hell still have to wait 30 minutes before they take it in. Im not sure when they actually finished the car, but I called in because its been forever and the guy is like oh yeah, I just finished up on that and was about to call you... Sure. If thats true, you have no positive track record for me to give you the benefit of the doubt.Weve just moved to this city, and will ask for recommendations before we get our car serviced again. The Pep Boys we went to in San Antonio was fantastic. This one sucks. Apparently they get so much business they can treat their customers like crap because its not going to make a difference in their profit margin. It may not hurt them but it certainly wont help them.

Service was good. Greeted when I walked in. Had the part I was looking for when Auto Zone didnt have the item stocked. Sale items are far and few between. Fair warning.

Had my 4 Runner go through some high water for Harvey and the starter was acting up. Finally got it to work and took it by here for them to check it out. Ive never had a place not give me an estimated time . They easily could have gave me and update so I could make other arrangements.

This pep boy’s quality of service and customer care is always paramount when it involves any maintenance or questioning. They take the time to identify the deeper concerns(possible) of a vehicles issue, while others just graze the service. Their in-store managers were deliberate and to the point, which is a blessing in itself during the holidays. They had the Mechanic(who was extremely knowledgeable on the matter) explain and breakdown the issues with such expertise, afterwards I felt as though I was being educated. Where as most auto shops would focus on not granting much if any insight. Ultimately the amount of integrity and sense of duty in this shop is unspeakable, yet at the same time. It speaks volumes for itself to their operation! Great Job y’all, thank y’all for the help and support.

Took my vehicle here for brake and rotor work. The quote seemed to much and the work they suggested just didnt make any sense from what I was looking at. (New brakes all around, and they said I NEEDED NEW rotors as well) So I decided to get a second opinion. Went to Meineke of NASA rd 1 and low and behold my rotors were just fine, only needed new surfacing and brakes. I saved over $400 by getting a second opinion. My suggestion to anyone visiting this location for repairs is to get a second opinion. Meineke will now be my place of business for repairs as such or anything of the like.

I hated my experience. I called for a tire that I needed to be replaced, got a good price but it wasnt there so they said theyd had to order it and itll come in that day at 6pm December 20. 6pm hits so I call them and they say its not there So they tell me to call back again later, I did and still not there. I call back next say at 12pm, still not there, they dont even know where the tire is at. So finally I get fed up and just wanted till 3pm. Finally I call and the tire is there so I go to pick it up and I see the people working, (only 2 actually working) and a group of workers sitting around talking about call of duty. As I go to get my tire, they continue to talk about call of duty until I finally ask them for help. I get my tire and asked them to put it on for me and they said okay, its been 30 minutes now and my car is still parked where I left it with the donut on...oh,and theyre still talking about call of duty instead of changing my tire and theyre the people who work in the department too so its not like they dont know how to do it. At least pull my car up. Terrible service, next time Ill just pay the $500 for my tire and get good service compared to these gamers who think theyre employees.

Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service is always friendly and does a thorough job for a reasonable price. Ive had my Mercedes serviced at a number of different authorized specialists - but Ive found Pep Boys Auto Parts & Service to be great at his job and not over charging for the work he does.

Do not go there!! Took them 3 hours to change 2 tires. I was the second person and I’m at 9am. They finished at noon. Changed out a bracket on the tire after and said it would be 45 min and didn’t tell me it was going to be $450 to the bill! I will never go back

They gave me a price to fix the main cylinder of my toyota scion tc for one thousand dollars plus 100 dollars for using a diagnostic machine. I took it to another place and fixed the main cylinder for 120 dollars walking out the door price. My car is running smoothly now.And btw I know for certain they didnt even use the diagnostic machine. Dont go their it is a huge waste of your money and an even bigger waste of your patience and time

Made an appointment for 6 o’clock to get my trucks ac serviced and waited two hours just for them to never even touch my vehicle. Then was told to come back tomorrow, why would I go back if they couldn’t even fix the one they had there.

Tried to go there on multiple occasions to get my car fixed. I was always give an excuse of why I could not have it fixed because a mechanic was not on staff to do so. I finally gave up and went somewhere else they were more expensive but I was actually able to get my car worked on and not just given constant excuses of why my car could not be fixed in a timely manner. I literally made five different attempts to have my car looked at and fixed with zero look.

Have brought in 3 of our 4 cars for service here on Fairmont and have always received friendly service. They even told me when something did NOT need to be replaced when another company said it did.

Very expensive for the work that is actually required. there are much better options out there. definitely never visiting another pepboys for any issues with my car.

Pulled in for wheel alignment at 7:30pm. Employee says to me he can do the work but if he has work past 8pm then I have pay double. I say OK walk by him to speak to the manager and the same employee runs interference and the manager walks away. Who is in charge at this place? I am a service manager for a nation wide data company and would never let my techs tell a customer we charge double. Location: I45 north west road exit. Off the feader going southbound. First time I had been to this store and the last time.

I went into your store 3 times to fix my car cost me over 300 dollars for all the test and crap they did after all that my car still is not running. the latest fu--- up was to diagnose my car as a bad cylinder # 1 well the guys thought that because all a fuel injection cap that was loose that the problem was fixed well it is still missing on that cylinder. That was the easy fix for them not me. I lost a day of work and more aggravation over this car. I think i should be able to get my money back form the imbeciles that could not fix the problem. I will never go back every again. and if any body asks me and will tell them you guys suck big timeDont waste your time with these morons

If I could rate a zero I would. I made an appointment for 9am to get my tires checked and the dude asked me if I made my appointment at night and I told him yes is there a set time that I have to make an online appointment?. Then he said he see my appointment but was unaware that I was coming.... I said ok so what does that mean? He then said that he is backed up by 2 and a half hours before he would be able to even see my car. Very bad services never going here again.

Just went in to get my alternator replaced, I thought I wasnt gonna be able to get my car to run again because I felt like it was dying since its about 170,000 miles, then they did their checkup and told me my alternator was done for (it made sense). They did take a while to work on it but my car wasnt the only one there, and Im a very patient person, now my car feels and runs smoother

Horrible! i called them and ask if they do coolant flush if I bring in my own coolant. The guy on the phone told me yes. Then I went to the site and one of the guys said we cant do it today can I come in tomorrow. So here I am i came in the next day and two of the guys said that I cant get the coolant flushed because their machine has coolant and cant mix mine in. This is bullshit! LAZY! not every car takes the same coolant, these idiots. If you guys plan on taking their car for service, think again. They might not know what they are doing.

I had engine work and front end work done on my Ford Ranger here, the shop manager Omar was very helpful in researching to get me the best options and I would highly recommend this shop for auto repairs.

Waited 2 hours to get 2 tires fixed even though I had an appointment. Extremely dissapointed. I have warranty for my tires and they told me one of my tires wouldnt be covered. After waiting 2 hours I now had to pay an amount out of pocket. When I finally am able to get to the counter the cashier tells me I dont owe anything so I thought ok maybe they helped me out since I waited so long. 2 days later my tire has already lost air. So dissapointed. Definitely will not be going back or recommending anyone to go to this location. Cant believe I really had to wait 2 hours and only 1 tire got fixed. Not only that but not once did they mention to me the my other tire was not repaired. So now I have to take my time to take my car somewhere else to get it fixed. Complete waste of time.

I called ahead to ask wait times. Was told 1 hour. Said okay and dropped off then had lunch and went to the eye doctor nearby. Came back 2 hours later and they were just starting on my vehicle and asked me to wait. I told them to take it down and give me my truck back.

İn the 4 hours my car was in the shop and i was waiting for them to get the job done, no one there thought to use a lug nut Socket to remove the lug nuts,instead they spent 4 HOURS insisting there was a lugnut key required. then shrugged their shoulders at me, and informed me there was nothing they could do for me. So i went to discount tire where i had had a tire replaced just a month ago and asked them where they left the lugnut key, they explained to me they simply use a 17mm hex. Needless to say i decided to take my vehicle elsewhere, though had to wait until the next day due to all the time wasted at pep boys. Who knows maybe i wouldnt have needed the rotors repaired/replaced had there been a competant mechanic there.

Poor Poor customer service, Service Manager Terrible, I have been a long time customer and the service mgr. Is very arrogant and rude, never zam I taking my vehicles for serice at this pasadena fairmont location, I have spent hundreds of dollars there.

I showed up around 45 minutes before theY closed to get my oil changed. I purchased the oil and filter from them. Mercedes has to use special synthetic oil. I come out and the clow running the place said he couldnt do my car. He said he might not have the time or right tools. What a waste of time..

I ordered a table from them and waited a week to pick it up. When I got there, they tried to sell me the table after they had used it for displaying tires; it was cosmetically ruined by the tires they had stacked on-top of it. Ive asked them to re-order the table roughly a week ago and to call me when it had arrived. Its been an entire week, no phone call, and Ive received an e-mail saying my order has been cancelled due to not picking it up on time. Gave them a call to check on the status of my table with nothing to show.

VERY POOR service sat at the shop for 3hrs when i was told it was only going to be 1hr just for a 15min alignment job VERY DISAPPOINTED

Wouldnt even give them one star. Over 2 hours to change a tire, wont let me borrow a jacknowledge so I can just do it myself. If I could I would give them a negative star....Friday went order a part not in stock early in morning 920 am paid 184...for starter...they assured me be in store for pick up Saturday next day before 12...so I called...supposedly some one forgot to call me to tell me part not in stock nearest store in arkansas..hello Im in pasadena tx.., so now I get refund..but they no help me cause mechanic had dismantle manifold and put back old starter...a waste of 54 for manifold and luckly shop worked with me on placing old starter....all cause pep boys lied..or did not do their job.

This place changes managers every few months. Quality of service and customer relations depend upon who is the current manager. Today, Sepember 29, 2014, the place sucks, because the current manager is dishonest and incompetent.

I had an oil change at WalMart. They stripped the oil plug on my oil pan. Even though they had stripped the plug, they changed the oil anyway. It all leaked out onto my driveway. Walmart would not take any responsibility. I took my problem to Pep Boys. They were very considerate, solved my problem, and did not stiff me. PepBoys will service my car from now on. Thank you!

I went in on a Sunday, June 21, 2015 to get new tires based on price. I selected some tires and was told it would be about 1.5 hrs and they would be done. After about an hour, they told me that my lugnuts were swollen, splitting and would need to be replaced. The service rep picked out a set with locking lugs and assured me that they would work. About another hour later, I was told that those would not work because Dodges are weird... So, they found a few packs of lugnuts that would work but couldnt replace all of them. I asked them what they were going to do and they assured me that they could salvage a few of my old lugnuts. They then told me that they could order some and they would be in Monday, June 22 at 4 PM. I called at 5 PM, no lugnuts. They told me to call back at lunch on Tuesday, June 23. I did, no lugnuts. They service rep that answered the phone told me hed get right on it and call back in 30 minutes. One hour later, no call. I then called back. I was told that the parts were never shipped and they are still sitting on the counter of wherever they are shipping from. I will no longer go to Pep Boys for any type of service other than rotating the tires I purchased and any warrantied work on said tires. Discount Tire has never steered me wrong and my money will go to them from now on.
