Stater brothers is good quality for their prices, especially in meat and produce. I wish their was more variety in the produce section acknowledging the various cultural kitchen requirements of socal kitchens. The meat department is good, and the butchers are very accommodating in cutting odd size roasts, splitting briskets and packaging 1/4 lbs of spicy Italian sausage.

My favorite grocery store in the area. Clerks are always helpful and anticipate when youre in need of assistance. Clean and bright store at all times. Uncluttered parking lot.

Didnt know there was a Stater Bros store so close to home. I thought they were all 20+ miles away. Glad there is one in Pasadena.I was impressed. This is a really nice store. I went the day after the 4th of July, so there were out of a few items that I was looking for. It was also late in the day.I was impressed by the butcher case. A very good selection of meats there. They even had some nice looking rainbow trout. The only other place I had seen those recently was Costco. But sometimes, you just dont want to buy 6 at a time.As I said, I was impressed. I will definitely be returning.

Very unprofessional and unhelpful store manager. And cashier took my ID and ran to the back of the store without my permission.Ill be honest and say that the issue I had at this store today was very specific and not likely to come up for others, but this review is for the experience I had with the store manager. I recently moved to the US from Spain. I stopped by Stater Bros to quickly pick up some wine that my wife forgot to get for a recipe she was making. The cashier looked at my foreign ID for about a second, and, without asking me if it was ok, ran away with my ID to the store manager. She then came back to tell me that they dont accept foreign IDs and I wouldnt be able to buy alcohol. This is the first time Ive encountered this so I said that I usually dont have issues. She said that there was nothing she could do and offered to get the manager, to which I said would be helpful.When the manager arrived, I explained the situation to her and instead of explaining the policy and telling me alternate IDs that they could accept, she was very dismissive. She bluntly said No. We dont accept it. Its a new policy. Its a very new policy. A store manager should be helpful and work towards a solution. I dont expect them to bend to my request, but at least they should speak in a respectful and not condescending tone. When spoken to in that way, I naturally got defensive and it became so frustrating that I decided to leave.I was hoping that this could become my go-to neighborhood grocery store. I will likely continue to come for convenience, but it will not be my first choice. And I hope that my future experiences with customer service as a foreigner (soon to be permanent resident) will be more pleasant.

Worst grocery store in L.A. county. Why? It just seems as tho they cater to poor white people and thats it, 90% of the food they sell is meant to cause cravings, packed full of pesticides and growth hormones. A lot of the ingredients used by all the major snack companys are cheap substitutes for other more natural things. People in this country have no idea what what a huge part brands like Nabisco have on the environment. They are literally prepared to push orangutans and hundreds of other animals into Extinction just so that they can save a couple dollars on their annual report by using palm oil. It is selfishness and sociopathic to the extreme and yet we are tricked into thinking they are good guys and want to buy their products.

Stater Brothers is great when I dont want to drive down the hill and go to the other stores I usually go to its close to home 🏡

This particular Stater Bros is fairly new to Pasadena. Built from the ground up, everything is nice & clean. The shelves are stocked with all you need. However, if theres something you dont find, speak with a staff member/management, and they will gladly assist you. The meat department??? DEFINITELY gets 5 stars!!! Ive never had a bad experience here. The entire staff is friendly & ready to provide you with excellent customer service. Its not quite in my neighborhood, but its CERTAINLY worth the drive across town 💞

Produce is usually pretty good. People are generally pretty nice. Very clean. Feels upscale and prices seem similar to other big grocery stores in the area. My few complaints may be oddly specific, but... they have pretty limited selection of eco-friendly products- no bamboo or post consumer TP or paper towels etc. Frozen veggie selection is a little weak- no frozen edamame. :( Plant based creamers are limited too- most of the ones that carry are loaded with sugar. Their produce is usually fresh and plentiful though!

Originally, I was a little skeptical of a Stater Bros replacing my neighborhood Vons. However, I have grown very fond of this store. Good selection, service and prices. And they have one standout cashier, Maria, who is so friendly, and greets customers by name and engages with them, while efficiently scanning their groceries. She helps make it feel like a small neighborhood market! Dont let her get away 🙂.

This one is a cute location.The meat department employees are super helpful! They are kind and will redirect you to the aisles if the specials are already prepackaged.Otherwise, the location is easy to find. the employees seem friendly overall and the store is very clean! It seems like the shoppers kept their distance! this is a huge plus.The one bad thing... when the delivery trucks (the semis) are there, they block traffic on Allen when the locals are trying to get by/around.

Hey, so heres my rating of Stater Bros. Its important to remember that Stater Bros fame is in meat. The meat counter here is fantastic and ranges from long aged, high end cuts (well worth it for a fancy get together) as well as lots of family cuts not as aged but tasty and inexpensive. The butchers there will cut a piece to your liking when they can and will season to your desire if youll be grilling or cooking that day (its not recommended to season a meat that will sit in the fridge too long). The fresh veggies are great, but use them within a day or two as they tend to be ripe on the counter and dont last a long time in the fridge. Last, if you want something quick and easy, check out the deli and pick up some hot food for the family or a quick sandwich to go and top it off with one of their salad choices (the seafood salad is well worth it). Enjoy!

Stater Bros is close to where I live, easy for me to get in-and-out. I find what I want and some things I dont find at other markets. Also there is always an outside person wiping down carts to help keep me safe.

I find Stater Bros to be a nice store with friendly employees. Their meat section is noticeably better than the average grocery store, with actual butchers on staff to serve you, and a wide variety of meats to choose from, including pre-marinated meats.

Well stocked, neat and clean store. Customer service was good as well.

Overall a positive experience with the exception of ther awful fruit and veggies packing bags. Could you guys provide an easier to open bag? Seriously, at other stores its a piece of cake. Your bags were practically crazy glued at the opening.

With all the technology that is available to us how is it that this stores inventory isnt updated in an instant where online shopping is concerned. If its not in your store you should not offer it for sale. Cant count the number of times Ive bought a product only to find out at pick up or delivery its out of stock. The online shopping site should have known this and not allowed me to purchase it. Now, yet again, I will have to go to the store to exchange the item, well, get a refund because its not in stock.

I like this market there are always at least 4 check stands open . Employees are always friendly and helpful

This Stater Brothers totally rocks! The treat everyone respectfully. I rarely go to Ralphs anymore. I would give it 4 stars but their prices are a too high! If they come down on their prices overall, I would become a total Stater Brothers customer.

This place is really clean and well stocked in general.I primarily got for their meat department. They have really nice cuts of meat that you just cant get anywhere else around here.Not always the cheapest. But they have amazing selections in general.

Even though I dont shop here often I dont have any problems finding what I need. The tortilla chips made in-house are better than at Ralphs which is where I do most of my shopping. Theyre perfect for making Chilaquiles by the way. Im glad I decided to shop here today because as soon as I walked in I saw Ritz crackers which I just ran out of but forgot to add to my list. Ive never experienced any long lines at the checkout which is a plus.Nov. 17, 2020 Update: I just opened the bag of tortilla chips & theyre very salty, much more than usual. 🤢 I guess Ill have to get my chips from Cardenas market in Riverside. Their chips are the best in my opinion.

Normally an abundance of good produce... Today however the lemons were horrible, individual and bag. Also strawberries looked bad among other things.Stater bros is a little more expensive than the competition and I dont mind usually but today it wasnt worth it. Very disappointed

Best bagger Ive ever had at any grocery store ever! All store employees are polite and helpful. There are many other grocery stores between our house and that store but we always prefer to drive to and shop at that one.

I am visiting Pasadena. The family frequents this store and they love it. It usually has everything, whereas if the shop someplace else, they say that they have to use multiple stores. I noticed it was clean and they have a dress code: white shirt and a classy tie!

I got there and there were no carts when I asked the guy rude about it and said oh we dont have any more right now. When he stand near some. Is how they treat their customers then Im shocked. Then on top of it the item that I called about earlier this morning they said they had boxes and boxes of it when I got here there was none not even on the shelf, I went to customer service and the guy said whatevers out his out he was rude about it and when I said I called and I talked to John he said there was no such John at the front desk this morning and that I was rudely mistaken I drove an hour and a 1/2 to get here and now Im ticked off.

Stater bros is my all time favorite, during the beginning of the pandemic they kept order with the panic buying, and keep it clean stocked, A+

Nice store with many different department. Juice department with fresh juicing juice. Meat department had great variety of choice. Bakery department had lots of fresh make bread. They even provide a shelf maps for customer quickly locate their product to purchase. Just like other Stater Bros, here accept cell phone pay.

Never had a problem at the Stater Bros. Pasadena store. Quality meats, fresh fruit cut daily and the staff are wonderful. They go out of there way to make sure that you have everything you need.

Im not from Pasadena, but am visiting for Thanksgiving. I popped in at Stater Bros. today (Thanksgiving) for some last minute items. You would never have guessed that it was Thanksgiving given that the store was fully staffed and every staff member I spoke to was exceptionally friendly. Great selection and reasonable prices. I would definitely come back here and highly recommend it!

Best overall supermarket bar none; prices are fair, wide selection, giant store, wide aisles and focused employees. I drive by 2 Vons and 2 Ralphs on my way there. Store is still a credit to Cleo & Leo, the original real Stater Bros.; straight out of Compton about a 100 years ago.

I live in North Pasadena and hate going to the Food 4 Less on Lake unless I have to, and going to the Ralphs on the other side of the 210 involves fighting more traffic and higher prices. I grew up with Stater Bros so I rejoiced when I heard that one was coming to my neighborhood in Pasadena! Stater Bros always seemed like the classier grocery store.... the employees dress nicely and are polite and friendly, the stores are always clean, and it has that neighborhood-market feel but with the variety of a grocery store.The parking lot is spacious and convenient (glaring over at you, Trader Joes!) This is the prettiest, most spacious and best laid-out Stater Bros I have ever been to. I went a few times after they first opened so I hope its the same now, but everything is so clean and well-organized. They have a full service bakery, deli, meat counter, and sushi counter! There were plenty of staff around to help, and one of them even led me across the store to find an item I was looking for. They seem to really be making an effort to make a good impression with this community, as their first store in Pasadena.My only complaint is the lack of hand baskets. I very rarely do huge shopping trips at once, and I hate shopping carts when I just want to get in and out quickly without having to maneuver around crowds, but have a few too many items to carry in my hands. Someone told me that they purposely didnt have any because they get stolen, but every other grocery store (including the SBs in less-nice neighborhoods) have them and there have to be sensors or a way to address that. Id honestly come here a lot more often if they had hand baskets.Welcome to the neighborhood!
