For my second car purchase ever, I decided to go with Hertz Car Sales. This process was way easier than my first purchase at a car dealer. Eric and the team were amazing, the car I was test driving that day was clean inside and out and ready for me to take it out on a test drive. Eric took me around to see the car, explained all the features and let me know to take it out for a decent test drive, make sure everything was to my liking and then bring it back. Test drive went great, the car was in great condition and I decided to purchase the car. Eric led me through the buying process and it passed in a breeze, once everything was in order Rhonda guided me through all the paperwork in a snap and I was out of there with my new to me car. I had zero issues here and I definitely recommend shopping for your next used car at this location.

Frank was a nice guy. He really helped us pick the right car for our family. Even when we where not sure he was patient with us and made us comfortable. Thanks Frank and hertz and I forgot her name but she signed the final paper work at the end she was super nice as well and friendly. You guys should give her a bigger office space. She deserevs it. Lol.

We reached out to this location because they had what we were looking for without having to drive to the San Diego locations. We first called and got assisted by a sweet gentlemen named Ken. After a short communication with him we knew we wanted to do business here. We went to the location and the car we were interested in was listed yet not ready for purchase. we waited about a week for repairs and safety, hounded poor Ken and finally a deal was made. The staff is extremely helpful, thorough and reassuring. I would highly recommend this location to anyone trying to get the best deal and good service. Additionally, if you see something you like, please jump on it. Their inventory goes fast!

Update: I won’t go into a long explanation here but I needed to change my 5 star rating to a 1. After trading in my previous car and financing through a Hertz bank my previous car loan was not paid in a timely manner. I was required to call repeatedly to Hertz, TD Bank, and FNB to straighten out the issue. It should not be my job to coordinate the loan payoff when I provided the information before I bought the car. My previous loan was paid off on the 30th day of being past due which was more than 40 days after I got the car. If you want to be stressed out and have YOUR money mishandled please go to this Hertz.Got a great deal here from Juan. He helped me do a trade on a car where my loan was upside down. I left with a lower payment and a newer car. So far so good on my 2016 Jetta. I recommend this store highly.

Be careful. Cars may not be in the condition you want. The internet photos look great. But, wait until you actually see the car before you get too excited.

Right away, this Hertz location stands out among the others on the official website, simply because they take plenty of pictures of their cars, which really helps yourvsearches. The first person I spoke with when I called was Paul, who was the salesman who helped me upon arrival. He is wonderful!!! Extremely helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and honest!!! We took our time with the test drive, he explained the purchase paperwork very simply and efficently, all with absolutely no pressure to buy right then and there!!! And the office atmosphere is lovely!!! Close quarters, but everyone is genuinely friendly and respectful to each other and customers alike. If you are seriously considering buying a used rental car, you must visit this Hertz location in Pasadena, and you must ask for Paul. Both represent the Hertz namesake extremely well!!!

Great customer service, great prices except for they need to improve on their inspection. I purchased a car from there not knowing the transmission was already failing within 2 weeks when I bought it. Also had a minor oil leak.

Absolutely terrible. My husband and I drove up to Hertz Pasadena for a specific car they had advertised for sale online- we emailed AND called to confirm they had this specific car available and ready for sale- which they confirmed they did. We arrived (after making the 70 mile trip) and they presented us with a MORE expensive car than we had inquired about- and tried to pass it off as the car we were originally interested in. Once we were presented the price and realized it didn’t match the one we saw online- they claimed they ‘couldn’t locate’ the other car. No apologies, no remorse, they simply stated if we liked that car- we should be willing to pay the higher price. Absolutely awful customer service- not to mention false advertising and major dishonesty. Fair warning- this place cannot be trusted!

I drove two hours to buy a car here and it was completely worth it! Theres such a great group of people working there, it made the process easy. It was nothing like the cold and impersonal experiences Ive had in the past when buying from a dealer. Ill definitely be recommending them to anyone I come across!

After my sons 20 year old car was totaled, we get about $6000 for it. I knew it would be hard to find anything for that amount. I found out about Hertz Car Sales some time ago, perhaps on a radio show. Anyway, the short story is they have nice, late model cars, with relatively low mileage. Also the 12 month warranty put my mind at ease. We worked with Dave Bomberger. He was very helpful and knew a great deal about cars. Hes been in the industry for a long time. He worked within our budget (I was willing to spend about $9000) and didnt pressure us to buy anything. Not pushy in the slightest. He answered all our questions and even handled some minor issues we had with the car post-sale. Very responsive as well. I will likely go visit Dave again when it comes time to get another car. He was great.

I wouldnt Drive 20 miles for a overpriced car. I came here every time I need a car. Only the best prices! Just dont buy the PepBoys Service Plan. Pep Boys will make it hard for you to make it effective.

I just wanted to compliment Jerry who I was lucky enough to come across when I called for the car. He was super professional. To be honest when first calling I didnt expect same customer service as I am used to receiving at a luxury line dealership and I was totally fine with it. When you buy $100,000 car and a $10,000 there is a difference in service. Thats is given and its normal. But the service and follow up provided by Jerry was same as when I bought $100,000 car. Jerry went above and beyond and accommodated in every way possible. They sold the car which I initially called for and he even offered to drive 50 miles to their other location who had similar one. I hope the management of the store and Hertz is reading this and recognizes how good of a guy they have working there. Thanks Jerry! If you are looking for a great deal on a car and want a great service Jerry is your guy!

These guys are awesome. I worked with Willie and he was the hardest working salesman Ive ever worked eitw. I found their location had cheaper prices than local lot on the model I wanted, so I called to talk with thrm about it. I flew out and met him first thing the next morning.He had 4 of the model I wanted and showed me all 4. I got the full report from their certification process and the list of work they did. Knowing we had the rest of the factory warranty plus the Hertz warranty is great as well.Because I dont live in California, the registration portion of the paperwork took a long time. There was an obscure form that they needed but didnt have in stock. Willie went to 5 different dealerships around the area to find a copy to save me $300 in unnecessary state fees. Overall, purchasing here got me the car for 3.5k under bluebook and saved me 2k over the Hertz price in my home state.I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Willie & Estrella got me taken care of and on my way.

Had a 9am appointment to pick up a car I had identified online. Got a call two days before the appointment to confirm everything was set. Took train plus Lyft to get here and was a bit late due to delayed train. When I arrived, not only was the car not ready, and the mileage different than that posted online, but there was a strong cigarette smoke smell in the car that had not previously been disclaimed. Complete waste of my morning, disregard for the time and expense taken to purchase from them (at a higher price than the competition). Do not come here unless you want your time to be taken for granted and to be treated with a general lack of disrespect.UPDATE: I find the response to the review indicative of the general lack of attention to detail and respect for customers. The response posted on 3-12 is in reference to *rental* services, when this review is both on a Hertz Car *sales* location AND indicates that in the review itself (the time eand expense taken to **purchase** from them).

You can not beat the prices on 1 & 2 year old cars. And dont worry about the mileage todays vehicles can easily go beyond 200,000 if well maintained like rental cars are.
