I use to love sears but now its not a fun place to go because of their systems always being down. The workers are helpful, dont order if you plan on picking it up because their systems always down so it takes days to get your order. If you plan on shopping in person bring cash because thats all they take. You cant use points, ATM, or credit at check out because their systems down. On the plus side they have really good prices if youre willing to pay cash only
On its last leg! This Sears is closing permanently! By December it would be the end of what used to be an icon of Pasadena! Extremely bad customer service is the main reason for the decline that eventually led to the death of this iconic store.
Ive been a loyal costumer with Sears Auto Center but since they closed the location in Glendale I started coming to Pasadena. Unfortunately the employees at this location are very unprofessional and they dont have any idea about costumer service. They dont give courtesy phone calls to advise when car is ready and mechanics are very defensive. Their work is fine and I feel very satisfied with the service provided to my vehicle. They need to improve their costumer service skills.Update:I always try to offer a second opportunity to people or businesses after a bad experience with the service or a person. Definitely this kind of business and its management do not know how to take a bad review from a customer in the past to improve their services and attention. Their only solution to a negative review is to reject the service and do not care to extend and improve the quality of the service. They definitely need retraining and learning how to take evaluations or reviews professionally and thus improve their services in the future. If a business does not have the skill and professionalism to accept and take a negative review as a result of poor service performance and turn that experience into a positive one, it should not continue to offer services. If your strategy against the costumer attacking as a form of retaliation denying a service for providing a bad review online then it should not continue in the market. You must learn from bad experiences to find alternatives and thus improve the quality of service and keep a satisfied customer. If a dissatisfied customer returns, there is an opportunity there and should be taken to demonstrate that the errors were corrected and that the quality of service is focused on excellence. Retrain your self, reset your mind, reset your costumer skills and retrain your assistants and mechanics. Remember the costumer is always is right ✅
Sears Pasadena is great store with staff that are extremely friendly. They post sales on Facebook which tells me when to grab the stores in the store and Im glad they do but still, I will always buy from Sears no matter what. Of the several Sears stores we have in Los Angeles I can shop at any of them and get great service because I support Sears and its wonderful people that work for them.
Found some mens pants for $17.99 each reg price $30. Great deal
I thought this Sears was going to close but it hasnt. You can still find some good deals on clothing which is good. The tool section seems to keep shrinking but the astronomical pricing on tools is just nuts. I guess thats why they havent completely finished getting rid of the tool department. You can just go across the street to harbor freight which is why I dont understand why their Chinese tools are so darn overpriced at Sears. It just makes no sense.
How can you sell mattress floor models? Isnt that unsanitary?
I came in hoping to buy just one pair of jeans. I walked out with 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shoes, and a carpet! Great deals here. Very nice customer service! $350 rugs on sale for $100. Cute kids shoes for $4.99 right now. I hope this place stays open theyve got good stuff for those of us on a tight budget!
Sears have been around for 120 plus years for a retail store. But sad they are closing all the Sears in this Pasadena location the last day for this Sears is in November 14.
They have nothing and very expensive for a store that is closing...
This store is great, the customer service is really good too. I love this store if I need to go there for anything. The parking and selection is excellent, no sign of closing here. There is plenty of business here, this store is staying open.
On my most recent visit, we noticed how all the racks had an unusual space between them. The place looks tired. Also, no reflection on the brand, is perhaps the movement of all the items, we saw two dead roaches. This does not speak well of a brand that is obviously struggling
Ive gone to the Sears on foothill boulevard and Rosemead boulevard Pasadena they say theyre not going out of business last month I went in there all the mechanical tools 70 to 80% off I loaded up wagons with stuff I dont even need went back a few days ago the stores practically empty clean store easy parking if theyre still open thats the place to go
Sears is not what it was when my kids were little. Panties and bras not good selection.
Wonderful service. We needed a new refrigerator.
Very affordable band amazing pricing but they need to get more selection and get cought up with latest styles. As far as home goods are ...sears known for that.
Not sure where they put normal merchandise. But for 30% off, not worth the trip.
Fading away but still with good appliances and tools. Auto Center still at this location too, for basic services such as battery installs and oil changes. Free parking, including best entrance around back at upper level. This location will not survive for many more years so go visit before there are no Sears left like this.
Sears is already going down in history, most of its stores are closed, apart from the fact that many products are not of good quality, its staff leaves much to be desired because they are not interested in serving customers. I think they are just waiting to finish selling the little stock of their merchandise to close this location.
SEARS IS BACK!Nice paint scheme, friendly service, clean, busy with customers, organized and still the best prices on appliances.
Sad to say store is closing and have closure sales
SEARS GREAT PLACE FOR BATTERY DIE HARD IN MY CAR
AVOid stearns, & foster mattresses ! Bought one for over thousand dollars, after one and half years it hurt my back . When lied fiwn you could feel a hole under you. So bad . No quality as they claimed 30 yrs, 20 yrs warranty but only lasted a year and half.Worst is when I called complain and wanted to return it or fix it, they gave me a hella hassles to go thru the fixing. even though every where in matress shows Stearns foster logo, but they still need receipt because company does not keep record of sale??Until nowknths after calling them to fix it theres no action on their part yetThey said they will not do anything if you have the matress stand up, it voids warranty . Wft?? Bottom line theyll do whatever it takes to void your warranty . bad quality matress with false claim to be best. Avoid the is matrss if you dont want headachersdidnt hahsve h
I bought a refrigerator last August my Refrigerator stopped working this past June I contact the store several times they were to send a repair person out when the first repair person came out he said he could not do the job they need to send a maintenance person when the maintenance person came out he said the motor was dead they said I could not return the refrigerator even though I have three-year warranty on it they sent for a motor it’s been two months with me not having a refrigerator I am very disappointed in Sears I will not be doing business with them ever again I just got off the phone with them they said my motor is on back order so there’s no telling when I’ll get this now I have to go and buy another refrigerator this is ridiculous
Very helpful. Thank you
Easily found the items I wanted; The employees were nice and helpful.
There going out of bussness not much there
One of the few Sears stores still open. Very sad, especially for someone like me who grew up with the Sears Catalog around.
Poor customer service, and worst phone answering service...no wonder your going out of business
Didnt know it was still open. A friend took me, got a few things.
Prices are high, almost everything is gone!
Love it here its gonna be sad when its time to shutdown gonna miss it
As far as I could tell I was the only customer.at least in the bed dept.i touched one bed to see if it was soft or firm and they freaked out.they grabbed the sign and held it closer to my face while pointing at it and reading it aloud. If this is how they treat their only customer maybe they should just file bankruptcy now
Looks like a ghost store so sad😢
The sales person Lisa F. was so helpful in choosing a carpet, I bought as a gift, that I bought one for myself also. 80% off thick fine made carpets . going back for more
Friendly employees and the Jewelry department.
My one stop store is closing.i hate to see it going away
Sears has been around for quite along time. Thay still have great stuff for house and home at great prices. It is still a great place to check out.
Beautiful, staff was helpful and place was very clean
I have been talking my car here for quite some time and vfc they are very knowledgeable and helpful. Sean is the best in customer service. He makes taking my car there very easy and no on stressful. Great job guys!👍
🙏🏽🙏🏽Going out of business
Sears nice clean ..i was in & out customer service was will to help if needed..if in the pasadena area check it out...oh everyone had there face mask on ..
Return policies during a pandemic are completely callous. If you try to return anything even 1 day beyond their terms, despite reduced hours, they will reject you. No store credit, nothing. Doesnt matter if your a rewards member or self quarantining from a possible exposure. They are completely inflexible and do not care at all. They need to value and work with customers, not drive them away. While other retailers are empathetic, Sears is failing the moment and on their way to closing their doors for good.
Good stuff
I have shopped at that store for probably 40 years, now it looks like an old dinosaur not many products and everything looks pretty old. So many Sears have closed and I think this one may be close to the chopping block.
Big, clean store. Bright, full displays. Plenty of items on sale. Great place to browse, even better place to shop. Instead of going online and buying something you cant try on, or look over, or feel, give this place a try. Lots of name brands and newer styles.
The store is pretty empty. Not much there and I didnt really see any great deals, but if youre in a rush for a gift and nearby, it might save the day.
Looks like store closing went to look for Levis but its not my store is closing and they selling everything at a higher price
I dont know if this store is closing but the staff was friendly and helpful. I was ask If I need it help about 3 times in each department I was like o.k they are here to make my shopping experience as easy as possible. So I just ask questions and got answers. I was there for 60 minutes from 5:00pm till around 6:00pm. The line was about 5 people long but it did moves fast. I did purchase 2 frozen necklaces for my nices. I juts there to look around not really going to shop but well I ended up buying something
Just went with a dear friend. No purchase. Fabrics on clothing rather crummy!
I used to go to purchase the car tires and batteries for a long time, the automotive department leaves a lot to be desired because the personnel is rude and they try to sell service and components that you do not need.Long time ago that department used to be busy but now it is empty, those who read this review please go someplace else where you will be treated with respect and the employees will not try to sell you something that you dont need.
Took a 30+ years old Craftsman rachet that was slipping in one direction in and they still honor the lifetime warranty. They promptly replaced the faulty rachet with a rebuilt one. Very impressed. The store was quiet but looked clean and organized. Found some Lee jeans that was on sale. Very nice and relaxed shopping experience.
They are rip offs the products and home guarantee is a scam dont buy it They void my service and yet they still are charging my account.
Use to work hereTheir back openWas worried there for a bit, awhile
Always find new useful tools
Good checked my battery all was good
Usually is a really good shopping experience, this time wasnt. A lady working at men shoe department was rude to both my mother and myself,
Sad to see this Sears store close...quick stop for appliances, electronics and tools. The staff was friendly and attentive.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCEBought a large appliance, I was told it would be delivered on Wednesday, nobody called me to set-up an appointment, they just showed-up at my door while I’m at work, now “without me approving” they re-scheduled for Saturday.I called customer service for Sears (in INDIA), would not help me, asked for a supervisor, I’m kept on hold for about one hour until I ended the call. Called again, asked for a supervisor from the beginning but did not allow me to do so. Called the store- EVERY DEPARTMENT and they all went to voice mails. Can’t speak to a live person in the U.S. unless you go to the store. I’m going to the store to cancel my order!!!
Absolutely Magnificent Customer service
Its very different from the one we had in Bakersfield. This store did not have a very big selection on clothing for children or adults
Clean environment. Great price and customer service. Excellent reward policy.
This store is exactly the same as it was 30 years ago and thats the problem. It hasnt grown and developed to stay competitive. Everything thing is 60% to 70% off. It looks like their going out of business.
Great sales. 60% off already. Lots of nice clothes
The people were friendly but when trying to get my vehicle serviced they were insistent on up charging me for more service than I wanted or needed. They did however allow me to leave at no charge which was courteous of them.
Sears is still a definitely nice place to shop in Pasadena definitely love all the discounted prices that you can find their versus other stores. My only downside about the store it is very hard to find customer service people around its more like a hitter mess with them sometimes youll find a cashier nearby other times you have to actually look around and find one checking out usually its not a very long time that you stand in line if theres more than one cashier available but sometimes you going to be there between 10-15 minutes I still go back from time to time even though its hard to find cashiers because I like your discounts there
The selection of items is absolutely amazing. But for some unknown reason, I just didnt like the decor, or lack thereof. It always kind of felt empty and lackluster, and I always felt like I was on some sort of void far from the real world.
Just ok - service reps need to b better trained - just not my favorite place - no knowledge
Horrible experience and will not be returning to the store. The first register has a kid named Jonathan that didnt know what he was doing. All I wanted to do was exchange my husbands work pants. This kid had trouble doing the exchange. He said the computer was slow. A line started to form and he asked if he could ring the person behind me and he would finish the return. Well started to ring the rest of the line and forgot about me. Dont know how I was standing right there. I asked if he was planning on finishing my return. He told me there were other registers I could use.
Needed a battery had the best price. Service was great. Dont like it when mechanics assume you know nothing about your car.
Still a large selection of goods though not enough help. Customers have to wait longer due to returns and exchanges, but this Pasadena store will not be closed. Still a good place to shop and decent prices.
I was searching for a washer and encountered Anthony in the Pasadena store. He was very helpful! He explained the differences in the machines (its been 16 years since I bought a washer) with & without the agitator and provided several choices of new machines. It was a pleasure dealing with him and will look him up when I go back to purchase!
Worst sale person .. no personality. You needs to train your employees how to answering the phone when I called to speak with someone in sport department. Super rude . Need to learn how to answer the phone properly and I just asked for only one question .. he seems to hate his job ..
Kind of disappointing. So a lot of staff talking on their cell phones. Maybe they should go outside and hold the sign in attract more customers.
A legendary company undone by corporate greed. Geez, where have I heard/read that before?Back in the day, Sears and especially their Kenmore line was very good quality, affordable stuff. Now? A disorganized mess and the Kenmore line has dropped well off. Can still find some affordable items here but its just not the same.
Prices are decent, lots of sales. Selection of products seems limited. But as far as Sears goes, this is better than many. Doesnt look like a yard sale and have that weird smell that so many Sears stores have.
The service, the look and feel of the store, the employees if you can find one. This place looks and feels like its on its last leg before bankruptcy. I hope the associates are actively looking for other employment
Every time when i go sears i want to buy everything, very good prices.
The associates working on the floor at the appliance department are very nice but everything else was horrible. I had to call customer service and was on the phone for over half an hour until the recording came on and stated that they were closed for the day. Walking through the store the womans clothes that I saw were cheap looking and not very nice looking.
Find valuable gifts and items at a good price great customer service
I have no remorse for the death of sears. This location is evident that it needs to be put down. Ive gone to the automotive to do my oil change for years. I go every 6 months. Each time they tell me im out of oil. How is this possible unless the oil is cut with detergents. Than there is always something wrong with the car even though i know there isnt. This time i was out of coolant. Really because i just checked an hour before I showed up!! Than i had a gift card that showed zero balance even though my records shower i had $30. Turns out you can fall out of the system??? And they will zero you out!!! Got it fixed but how many have i thrown out thinking this???
Fewer sales personnel on some days. But still good service. Several generations in my family have been Sears shoppers. Its still my first stop for clothing, shoes and the only place for tools.
Great stuff but the slowest checkout ever every time I go
Its a good Sears. However unlike the ones near me, they have tons of clothes in stock and on sale. Lands End is a pain in the butt as Lands End shop no longer take SYW points (Sears still takes SYW points). Other than that. Its unique and cool.
Plenty of free parking, great sales going on, and nice selection. This Sears has everything inside from items, watch repair and automotive services. It has great businesses from food to other storesm great to park and look around, eat and shopm
Lands End staff is excellent! Theres an awesome closeout sale!
Super quick in and out with my alignment. Less than one hour.
This store still has a good supply of stuff, but the cashiers suck!
Sears offers different types of products, specially tools, and offers discounts to military, or veterans when you purchase tools, that is very important for the ones who serve the country to be appreciated for defend our freedom
This is one of the stores which is still open. Clothes are a little old fashioned. Most items have big savings and discounts. You will still find something you like.
